Is that so?
Last week, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani performed their new duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on The Voice, so it’s safe to assume that they’ll pull a Buddy The Elf and declare that they’re in love, they’re in love and they don’t care who knows it!
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, a few different tabloids allege that Shelton and Stefani will not only announce their engagement on an episode of The Voice, but they’ll also freely discuss marriage plans with the audience and viewers at home.
What started these rumors was a diamond eternity band on Stefani’s finger, one she’s worn since February, when some tabloids were certain Shelton had proposed.
No announcement was made, and it was assumed by more level-headed media outlets that the ring is one of Stefani’s personal items.
When Stefani wore the ring again at a Wang Tango concert this past weekend, the rumors started back up again.
“As far as the ring is concerned that was worn at Wango Tango, it is not an engagement ring from Blake but it is Gwen’s attempt at giving Blake the hint that he should ask soon because she is more than ready for it to happen,” a source told Hollywood Life.
“During Wango Tango she didn’t talk to anyone about actually being engaged because she is not yet, but she talked about how things were going great with Blake and how she was looking forward to the future.
“She knows they both have their albums and their tour to worry about, and he has to deal with a few more weeks of The Voice but if he is ready to pop the question she is ready to say yes!”
The Voice showrunner Mark Burnett has talked openly about Shelton and Stefani’s relationship.
“This is life, they happened to bump into each other, which is great,” Burnett said of his two friends.
