Nick Viall Tries to Make Nice, Writes Note to Jen Saviano

Nick Viall struck out for the third time on ABC last night.

Following a pair of runner-up finishes on The Bachelorette, it appeared as if Nick had found love on Bachelor in Paradise.

He and Jen Saviano woke up on Tuesday night in the Fantasy Suite, with Viall gushing over how it’s “truly amazing what private alone time does for a relationship” and Jen later telling Nick:

“I’ve fallen in love with you, and I want to continue to fall if you’re willing to catch me.”

How sweet, right?!?

How romantic, no?!?

How sadly misguided of Jen.

Viall responded to this outpouring of emotion by saying he didn’t want to regret a proposal and that Jen deserved better than him anyway.

“K,” she replied.

And that was that. Here’s a look at Viall (sort of) breaking Jen’s heart in front of millions of viewers on last night’s Bachelor in Paradise finale.

Of course, Nick Viall will be The Bachelor this spring.

So we already knew he didn’t end up with Jen.

Viall did go ahead, however, and try to make the best of the situation, considering he now needs viewers around the country who watch The Bachelor online or on television to root for him on Season 21.

“It’s not easy saying goodbye to someone as incredible as @jensav11,” Viall wrote on Instagram as a caption to the above image.

He added:

“One of the most beautiful, graceful, and intelligent women I’ve ever met. So lucky to have had her in my life. She deserves the world.”

On the finale, Viall confessed that Saviano simply wasn’t the right woman for him.

“I wanted to say I was in love with you, but something in my heart just said I can’t,” he told her.

“Sometimes you wish you could tell your heart what to do, and if I could, I would tell it to choose you. I just feel like something’s telling me to say goodbye.

“I’m sorry. My biggest fear is that I’m going to regret it.” 

Profound stuff from Nick there.

We can only hope we’re in for these kinds of original, non-cliche ridden thoughts on The Bachelor next year.

On After Paradise, Jen sat down to talk about her feelings when it comes watching her ex look for love with a new group of ladies.

It will be an unusual situation, to be sure.

“There’s definitely mixed emotions about that — but I’ve moved on, and I’m doing good,” she told the audience.

Jen also shared a picture on Instagram of herself eating pizza in her finale outfit.

“When you get dumped… Here’s what you do: you order an XL pizza, bottle of wine & watch How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days… because you know, I’m good at that,” she wrote as a caption.

HA! We love it.

You sure you made the right choice here, Nick?

6-Month Old Actually Waterskis: Watch! React!

No, your eyes are not deceiving you.

The following video really does feature a six-month old on waterskis.

By himself. Out on the open water.

The baby went viral this month after his dad, Robert Absher, shared a video to YouTube on Sunday, September 4 of his very young son breaking a world record.

In the video"s caption, Absher says his son is now the youngest person to ever waterski.

In the clip, we see Auburn showing off his skills on Falls Lake in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

He"s strapped in to a Coast Guard–approved life jacket and he"s going 150 feet while holding onto a unique railing that his dad built from PVC piping.

His mom, Heather, is also running alongside Auburn the entire time.

But these facts weren"t enough to assuage the Internet.

Users have come out in full force against the parents, aghast that they put their baby in this position.

“Parents should be charged with child endangerment,” Tweeted one individual, while another warned:

“Good way to break your kids neck.”

Robert is a competitive wakeboarder, however, and has told Us Weekly that critics shouldn’t be so quick to judge.

They don"t know all the details.

“We practiced before taking him out on the water,” the 34-year-old tells the tabloid, adding:

“We put him on the ski for the first time in the living room. We just let him stand there … and then I started moving him around real slow.”

But Auburn isn"t wearing a helmet.

“The vest he was wearing has head protection on the back,” Robert says. “And with me pulling him at the speed we were going, he never would have been able to fall forward.”

Rihanna, Exposed Boob Pose For Terry Richardson

Rihanna is no stranger to nudity.

In fact, with the possible exception of Miley Cyrus, she may be the nakedest pop star of all time.

The girl loves stripping down so much that there have been reports of former label boss Jay Z cautioning her to stop getting naked all the time.

So naturally, she’s a perfect subject for Terry Richardson.

If you’re familiar with his work, you know that Richardson is a photographer who seems to specialize in convincing famous people to take their clothes off in the name or art.

So it’s not surprising that Rihanna’s latest shoot with Richardson offers up a whole lot of boob-grabbing, suggestive-cigar-chomping fun.

This isn’t Richardson and RiRi’s first shoot, but it may be their raciest.

Their raciest shoot together, that is.

These two have both done much more revealing stuff on their own.

In fact, you probably shouldn’t click through this gallery of Richardson’s work if you’re at work, in a public place, or just want to go through the rest of your life not knowing what Lindsay Lohan pretending to fellate a handgun looks like.

Anyway, RiRi’s latest pics will appear in the new issue of CR Fashion Book.

The magazine claims that the photos are centered around a Marie Antoinette theme.

If you paid attention in history class, you might recall the famous incident in which Marie Antoinette grabbed her own boob.

Or it’s possible we just made that up.

The point is, Rihanna’s boobs have made another appearance, and for that, we thank her.

“Looking at the life and times of Marie Antoinette, we begin to see parallels between her and the female celebrities of today,” the magazine reads.

“Who besides our modern pop stars are followed with more obsession and desire?

“Rihanna is beloved while Marie Antoinette was not, but she shares with the Queen an unapologetic attitude that inspires and fascinates.

On the one hand, Rihanna obviously looks amazing, and he could be incredibly proud.

On the other hand, Aubrey is a bit of a sensitive soul, so he could feel threatened by the thought of millions of people leering at his girlfriend.

In any event, he probably doesn’t have much say in the matter.

As the person who wrote that weird “Rihanna is just like Marie Antoinette except everyone loves her, so really not at all” explanation can attest, RiRi is 100% her own woman.

Remember when she was dating Calvin Harris?

It’s true!

The singer and the DJ were together, for, like, 15 months, splitting this spring… just before Swift was caught canoodling with Hiddleston.

Now, in a cover story with British GQ, Harris opens up about his relationship with Swift and his subsequent break-up in more detail than ever before.

“It’s very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly,” Harris tells the publication.

“The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicized than the relationship itself. When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.

“She respected my feelings in that sense. I’m not good at being a celebrity.”

So it sounds like Harris was pretty content while actually dating Swift.

But then after the relationship ended? That’s when things really got crazy.

Although Harris puts it in even more blunt terms.

“All hell broke loose,” he says. “Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure. It took me a minute to realize that none of that matters.

“I’m a positive guy.

“For both of us it was the wrong situation. It clearly wasn’t right, so it ended, but all of the stuff that happened afterwards…”

Harris here is referring to the beef he got into with Swift over the songwriting credit on “This is What You Came For.”

After Taylor tried to claim that she was actually the main person responsible for that smash single, Harris could not sit back in silence any longer.

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals,” Harris Tweeted in July.

And then he took it to another, amazing level, writing the following as a follow-up:

Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage.

I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.

I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.

Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you’ve earned a great one.

Wow. No one had ever called out Taylor Swift like that before.

But it sounds like Harris sort of regrets doing so now.

It was completely the wrong instinct,” he says in hindsight.

“I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.”

Pretty open stuff here from Harris, huh?

He really does seem like a decent, regular guy.

And also a lucky one: according to new reports, Harris is now dating Eiza Gonzalez.

Way to rebound there, Calvin! You got up high and snagged quite the catch with that one.
