The Bachelorette Recap: Who Earned Hometown Dates?!

As The Bachelorette spoilers (or any Bachelor Nation member) could’ve told you, the final episode before hometowns did not lack for drama.

With Rachel Lindsay’s half dozen remaining suitors leaving it all on the table, there were plenty of intense conversations and hard choices.

The million-dollar question heading into Monday:

Would the final four as predicted by Bachelorette spoilers all season long hold true? Or would an unexpected contender pull an upset?

Certainly, three of the six guys left had an edge.

Rachel announced at the onset that there would be three one-on-one dates and one three-on-one, clearly raising the stakes for each.

Obviously, if you’re going on that three-on-one, you’re in the lower tier, which is undesirable. Bryan Abasolo did not end up there, clearly.

He and Rachel enjoyed a luxurious date in Geneva, Switzerland, buying expensive things and making out. Life could be a lot worse.

Later, Bryan said that the last time he brought a girl home, the romance ended soon after, but he promised his family would love Rachel.

“I was on cloud nine after my last date with you, and I’m going higher,” Rachel said, giving him a rose. “I have to come and meet your family.”

Dean Unglert’s date after that was … awkward by comparison, as they went to a Catholic mass conducted in French which they don’t speak.

Moreover, he was just nervous and generally off, unable to open up about feelings or even make small talk for whatever reason.

Perhaps his youth was showing at last.

Dean, 25, later admitted a lot of “internal conflict” about getting a hometown date, as he feels like the “black sheep” of this group.

His family, he said, is less than perfect.

Every family is, but after Rachel called out his weird behavior, he opened up about it finally, saying his mother died a decade ago.

As for his father, “he is not a person that has any bearing on my emotional experience … my concern is that you would judge my family.”

Not judging them on their own merit, he meant, but using that first impression to determine “what our potential family could be.”

Rachel assured him she would not, He got the rose.

Peter Kraus received the final one-on-one date, and rose, soon after that. Unlike Dean, he talks about his feelings quite freely.

One of the early favorites, he told Rachel that the process had been hard for him, knowing she was also dating the other guys.

Kraus admitted he’d never been with a black girl before, but told Rachel that his parents would be supportive of anyone he fell for.

He also said, in a bit of a jarring admission, that if he got to the end and proposing didn’t feel like the right thing, he wouldn’t do it.

Of course this gave her pause, how can it not, but at the end of the day, it’s honest and refreshing that he would be so true to himself.

On to hometowns for Peter!

Finally, it was the dreaded three-on-one between Adam, Eric and Matt, all of whom knew the odds weren’t good and they had to go all in.

Matt was the first to go, though not for lack of trying. Rachel said through tears that other relationships had progressed faster than theirs.

Adam felt he was a lock to win this three-on-one, and Rachel conceded that he was a guy who cherished every “single second” together.

That wasn’t enough.

She sent him packing too, ultimately choosing Eric, which Adam felt was a huge mistake on her part. Clearly she doesn’t agree.

Eric Bigger spoke about his tough upbringing and how he is motivated to help others because no one ever helped him in life.

He has also never brought a girl home, because he was never shown love and it’s all new to him to feel what he’s feeling now.

Until next week!

Teen Mom Reunion Recap: Catelynn Lowell Drops a Baier Bombshell!

On Teen Mom OG Season 4 Episode 14, or part two of this season’s reunion special, Farrah continued feuding with her mom Debra.

Meanwhile, and Catelynn and Tyler opened up about Butch’s relapse, and she also dropped a bombshell about another cast member.

The most interesting segment of Teen Mom OG Season 4 Episode 14, by far, was when Catelynn explained what happened with Xanaxgate.

With daughter Nova attending her first day of preschool, Catelynn was in New York City for press obligations for the MTV show.

Balancing work and life when you’re already prone to depression is difficult, and sure enough, this was a “trigger” for the proud mom.

“I’m having a panic attack. I don’t know what’s going on. It started in the car, then all of a sudden,” she said, Matt Baier gave her Xanax.

“Matt just is like, ‘We’ll just keep this between me and you’ and he just hands me this bar. I stuck it in my hoodie pocket … I didn’t take it.”

Why not? She thought better of it for this reason:

“Because I just turned around and looked at everybody in the room, like … I know about his past and Amber’s past and stuff.”

“I was like, ‘Why the [bleep] does he have this?"”

Soon afterward, Amber Portwood got a sense that Matt was acting differently and confronted her fiance, who said he was just tired.

Then Catelynn, who reiterates that she did not actually take the anti-anxiety medication Baier offered her, notes that it oddly disappeared:

“Well, the funny thing is it was in my hoodie pocket. When I went to go look for it to show Amber, Matt was walking down the hallway.”

“We realized he was in my hoodie,” she said.

“And I think he purposefully took my hoodie and put it on when he realized what was happening and took the evidence.”

Once you get past the humorous imagery of Matt walking around in Cate’s hoodie like it’s totally normal … what a shady dude.

Wow. Matt Baier failed a lie detector test regarding his sexual advances toward women already this year. Now this bombshell?

If you watch Teen Mom OG online, you know that he and Amber have been on thin ice for awhile. The ice just got a lot thinner.

Meanwhile, things were so tense between Farrah Abraham, her mother Debra and Deb’s fiance that Farrah can’t even say his name.

Seriously. Abraham simply refers to Dr. David Merz in terms such as a “sad case of events … The person she’s engaged with.”

#FarrahAbraham #WordSalad

Farrah added, “Sadly, I have a lot of f–ked-up people in my past … I don’t like to bring irrelevant people up in my conversations anymore.”

Speaking of irrelevant people, Dr. Drew mentioned Simon Saran and his alleged $ 250,000 demand to appear on the reunion special.

MTV, he said, “turned that down.”

Abraham recoiled, saying, “I don’t need to know that he was supposed to be here,” at which point Dr. Drew noted, “You seem offended.”

“You seem like you don’t want to talk about anything,” he said, at which point the star got up and stormed off the stage. Vintage Farrah.

Eventually, she returned to face the music – specifically, questions about whether she was abusive to her own mother on the series.

Farrah replied that she had been through so much abuse, and when Dr. Drew sat down with Deb and her fiance, he asked about that.

Debra rebutted her claims: “There was no abuse. None of that went on. Everyone in this audience has had something happen to them.”

Is Farrah lying about being raped and/or abused physically, then? Dr. Drew isn’t so sure, citing Debra’s 2010 assault arrest and saying:

“There’s been knives and police reports.”

Debra then clarified a specific incident:

“I sat there for an hour being mentally, emotionally and verbally abused and I asked her repeatedly to stop it and she would not … I went like this.”

Debra made a slapping gesture.

“I didn’t even hit her … I know I hit the seat,” she said, and again insisted that Farrah “got abusive” with her and not the reverse.

As for whether they got “child protective services involved,” as Dr. Drew asked, Deb said she’s not in a position to determine such things.

Whatever that means.

“I haven’t even gotten to see Farrah or Sofia, or talk to her, since April … I have no access to my granddaughter,” she said.

Drew then said what we were all thinking, when you consider her life: “I feel bad for Farrah … I see a lot of fear and pain.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County Recap: The Great Divide

The Real Housewives of Orange County returned to Bravo last night, where Vicki Gunvalson proved she can still hold court like no other.

She’s bonkers, and the central theme of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 Episode 1 was how over it her co-stars are.

When the episode got underway, we witnessed a shot of a beautiful beach, but it was quickly ruined by the sound of some of the craziest arguments from Season 11.

It was a striking visual that proved the feuds on this show were enough to ruin any tranquility. Even after all this time, The Real Housewives of Orange County can still pack a punch in the drama department.

We quickly found out that the feuds from the previous season weighed heavily on the minds of all the housewives concerned.

First up was Shannon who claimed Vicki’s comments about her husband abusing her paved the way for her to gain a lot of weight.

In her quest to lose weight, she has changed her diet, as well as her children. She never really opened up about her husband, aside from saying that they were “distant.”

Can Shannon really blame Vicki for that? We’re sure there will be more details on it as the season continues, but we think she and Vicki will make things right with one another.

We switched gears to Vicki, who we found in a particularly happy state. The reason? Her business is booming, her relationship with her new boyfriend is going well and she’s a grandma.

It posed an excellent juxtaposition for the way her life is compared to Shannon’s, but I still don’t feel like we can pin all the blame for Shannon’s drama on Vicki.

One thing that irks Vicki about all of the drama is that Tamra is still making a go of her bodybuilding career. The two former friends have not spoken in months, but it’s obvious there is no love lost between them.

She caught up with Kelly and essentially said all of the other housewives are jealous of her success, and we may just have puked a little.

She event went as far as saying:

“They’re not the popular girls, we’re the popular girls.”

Kelly seemed like she wanted to be more reserved this time around. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, you will remember her cooking up drama out of nothing last season.

It made for riveting television, but something tells us she had her head in her hands while watching the season back.

We then found out just how much Vicki’s drama had affected Tamra. In case you missed it, Vicki was throwing around rumors that Tamra’s husband was gay.

Tamra felt like the ordeal with Vicki brought her closer to faith and former housewife, Lydia, who returned to she show after a hiatus.

At Bible study, Tamra started taking shots at Vicki and Kelly, but they were not even there to defend themselves. It speaks a lot about Tamra’s character.

Lydia then offered to play mediator during a lunch date between her and Vicki. Tamra declined the meeting, but that did not stop Lydia from meeting up with her.

Vicki felt like there was no way she and Tamra could salvage their friendship, but Lydia had some words of her own.

“I think you guys hurt each other so much because you love each other,” she says.

Um, no. They hurt each other because they wanted to secure their place on the show, and a salary increase.

Okay, so that’s Episode 1 in the can, and things are actually shaping up to be interesting for the stars.

We absolutely need to have them all meeting up and going at it. That would make my day.

What do you think of all the drama?

Sound off below!

Tyler, The Creator: Did He Just Come Out as Gay?

Questions are once again being asked about Tyler, The Creator and his sexuality.

This time, fans of the rapper are wondering whether he’s gay after songs from Tyler, The Creator’s upcoming album, “Scum F-ck Flower Boy,” leaked online late Sunday night.

Do the following lyrics confirm rumors that this musician is gay?

On a track titled “I Ain’t Got Time,” Tyler raps that he’s “been kissing white boys since 2004.”

Later on in the album, in “Garden Shed,” the California rapper spits rhymes that appear to center on the struggle of making this public admission.

They read as follows:

Them feelings I was guardin’, heavy on my mind/All my friends lost, they couldn’t read the signs/I didn’t wanna talk and tell ’em my location, and they ain’t wanna walk.

Truth is, since a youth kid, thought it was a phase, Thought it’d be like the Frank; poof, gone, but, it’s still goin’ on.

Tyler, The Creator is yet to comment on the speculation behind his possible homosexuality.

But this is far from the only time the topic has come up.

In a 2015 Rolling Stone interview, Tyler talks about the rumors of him possibly being gay, making rather blunt comments about his sexuality.

Fans have been torn ever since about whether he was being serious or sarcastic.

“For the past two days I’ve wondered, is Tyler actually gay? I cannot emphasize how much gay humor plays a role in the atmosphere around him. It’s like a continuous loop of the “You know how I know you’re gay?” scene in The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” the article reads.

It continues:

“Never more than a few minutes pass without him saying he’s going to suck someone’s dick or him accusing someone of wanting to suck dick. At one point on the bus, he recalls sending nude photos to a group chat with his friends and no one responded.

My friends are so used to me being gay,” Tyler says. They don’t even care.

“I finally ask, Why all the gay humor?’

“Because I’m gay as fuck,” he says, without a flinch.

For real, the reporter asks?

“No, but I am in love with ’96 Leonardo DiCaprio,” he responded at the time. “I one hundred percent would go gay for ’96 Leo. Oh, and Cole Sprouse.”

There was also the time, about two years ago, when rumors surfaced of Tyler dating Kendall Jenner.

“Apparently we’re dating,” Jenner Tweeted in response, to which Tyler shot back: “Not possible, we’re both gay.”

Of course… Kendall is NOT gay. So, once again, it was difficult to tell if Tyler was joking here.

creator tweets

Going back further to 2012, this was Tyler’s statement after fellow Odd Future member and frequent collaborator Frank Ocean came out as gay:

“My Big Brother Finally Fucking Did That. Proud Of That N***a Cause I Know That S**t Is Difficult Or Whatever. Anyway. Im A Toilet.”

So there you have it.

Maybe. Possible. It’s unclear, really.

If Tyler, The Creator really is gay, more power to him.

And if he’s just using these rumors to make headlines and sell records, well… good for him as well.

That’s some brilliant marketing right there and it also shows he’s open to homosexuality, unlike other rappers who take the opposite approach and drop gay epithets throughout their songs.
