The Bachelor Recap: Arie"s Hometown Hotties Revealed!
Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s Bachelor JOURNEY has reached the final four. Would The Bachelor spoilers be proven correct as to their identities?
NOTE: If you haven’t read The Bachelor spoilers, there’s a lot of chatter about who we see Arie Luyendyk engaged to … and more.
On The Bachelor Season 22 Episode 7, Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his seven remaining women traveled to Tuscany. The stakes?
Four roses, three tickets home. No pressure at all.
The first one-on-one date went to Becca K., who wasted no time in admitting that she’s falling for him and wants to take him home.
That got the job done, to the surprise of no one. She’s been a favorite from the start, albeit slightly under the radar. Still is.
More surprising is the fact that Jacqueline is still around, having received so little screen time until last week’s installment.
Not surprising, we suppose, is the fact that she’s having doubts about whether her relationship with Arie is at the right point yet.
Believing that she’s not confident enough in their future to warrant a hometown date, Jacqueline ultimately sends herself home.
Well, that will make his life simpler at least.
The next one-on-one date went to Lauren B., who is still struggling with the fact that she was engaged before and heartbroken.
She’s starting to fall in love with him, though, and despite how awkward her confession got, he said that he’s just really nervous.
Arie said he’s “falling so deeply in love” with her and that he feels vulnerable as a result. Lauren B. may just be the one for him.
Seinne is not the one for him. Despite a really nice, random Italian family-oriented date, Arie’s just not there with her just yet.
As a result, she was cut loose without a rose.
That means Bekah, Tia and Kendall were left vying for the final two roses on a dramatic, winner-take-all 3-on-1 group date.
Bekah opened up about struggling with being away from home; Tia struggled with the fact that Bekah is still on the show.
Repeatedly questioning whether this 22-year-old could possibly ready for something serious, she even brought it up with Arie.
Tia then told Bekah that she relayed this to Arie, causing Bekah to break down and cry in Arie’s arms. Not overdramatic at all.
The really winner of this exchange? Kendall.
She got a rose without hesitation after this display, while Tia and Bekah continued their race to the bottom in pursuit of this guy.
At the end of the date, Tia survived and got the rose, leaving Bekah crushed, and not just because she’s on a missing persons report.
Who do you think will win the final rose?
Will it be the newly-minted frontrunner Lauren B., the consistently strong Becca K., or one of the dark horses, Tia and Kendall?
Is there an epic twist in store for us?
Hit the comments below to discuss, and pour a little Zinfandel out for Bekah M. Hope she’s doing okay back on the marijuana farm.

Ben Affleck & Lindsay Shookus: Boozing It Up In Her Hometown?
It’s been several months since we first learned that Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus are dating, and it seems the couple is very much enjoying the heady rush that accompanies the start of a new relationship.
(There are those who believe Ben and Lindsay’s relationsip isn’t all that new, but that’s a discussion for another time.)
Already, there have been claims that Ben and Lindsay are planning a wedding.
Other insiders have insisted that Affleck and Shookus can’t wait to have a baby together.
As usual, it seems as though the tabloid media is rushing things just a smidge, but Ben and Lindsay do seem to be quite smitten with one another.
They’ve already survived the first big hurdle of their relationship with Ben resisting the urge to morph into Sad Affleck over the fact that Lindsay’s hometown Bills have claimed the top spot in the AFC East ahead of Ben’s beloved Patriots.
But there are other challenges that lie in wait — and Affleck’s drinking might be chief (no pun intended, Ben) among them.
According to photos and multiple eye witness accounts, Ben is hitting the bottle again, just months after completing a stint in rehab.
Though she’s concerned for the father of her children, Jennifer Garner reportedly believes that Ben’s drinking is Lindsay’s problem now.
Unortunately, it doesn’t seem that Shookus has any interest in helpong Ben to stay sober.
It’s certainly not her responsibility to do so, but it seems that Ben is unlikely to stay clean or even keep his boozing somewhat under control when his new girlfriend is doubling as his drinking buddy.
Affleck and Shookus have already been spotted sipping wine at L.A. hotspot Craig’s and leaving a Maine liquor store with their arms loaded with bottles.
Sources say that over Labor Day weekend, the couple hit Lindsay’s hometown, where they presumably washed down their chicken wings with large quantities of Canadian beer.
Last weekend, Ben and Lindsay were spotted walking the streets of Manhattan (she’s a producer for Saturday Night Live) looking considerably worse for wear.
In contrast, Garner was in Texas helping with the relief effort in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
It’s easy to say she’s winning the divorce from a PR perspective, but we have no way of knowing how many bartenders Ben helped with his generous tipping.
It’s about time someone took a moment to recognize this country’s real heroes.

Josh Duggar Will "Always Be Josh the Molester" in Hometown, Source Says (Exclusive)
For many, the mere mention of the name Josh Duggar conjures thoughts of appalling abuse and unforgivable impropriety.
Back in 2015, fans of the ostensibly wholesome Duggar clan were stunned by the news that Josh had molested five young girls, four of whom were his sisters.
Almost as shocking as the acts themselves were the reports that his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, had helped Josh avoid prosecution for his crimes.
After several advertisers cut ties with the show, TLC eventually canceled 19 Kids and Counting, the reality series that had made the Duggars famous.
The network received a considerable amount of criticism for taking its time to cancel the show, and it was widely assumed that TLC would cut ties with the Duggars for good.
Needless to say, many were astonished when it was announced that a second Duggar reality series entitled Counting On had been picked up by TLC.
Execs promised fans that Josh would never appear on the show, but many were still outraged, including it seems, the residents of the Duggars’ hometown of Tontitown, Arkansas.
A source who was formerly close to the several members of the Duggar family tells The Hollywood Gossip exclusively that Josh ill likely be able to escape his reputation amongst his neighbors.
“Maybe someday Josh will get beyond it somehow, but he’ll probably always be Josh Duggar the molester,"” the insider tells us. “That’s what they call him.”
The former Duggar associate believes that much of the outrage stems from Jim Bob and Michelle’s decision to help Josh avoid prosecution.
Ironically, the source says, that decision may have resulted in longer-lasting (though far less severe) consequences for Josh and his family than any punishment that would have been handed down by a judge.
“Jim Bob and them kept it under wraps for so long that the statute of limitations ran out,” says the source. “But as a juvenile [Josh] probably wouldn’t have suffered much under the law anyway.”
Whetever the case, Duggar fans have turned a blind eye to some considerable misdeeds over the years, but it seems unlikely that they’ll ever be accepting of Josh making a return to television.
Jim Bob is reportedly aware of this, but that doesn’t mean Josh is entirely removed from the family media empire.
“If you notice, they’re starting to bring Josh around a little more, and they’re starting to include him a little bit more, and I don’t know whether TLC had anything to do with that, but people are interested,” says the insider.
Jacks up their ratings a little bit, I’m sure.”
As for whether or not the family would ever put Josh back in front of the cameras, the source says Jim Bob is too savvy to attempt such a move.
“They’re pretty big on not allowing that,” the insider tells us.
“And if they did bring him back, they would probably lose ratings. It would just be a negative … They don’t even really like it when [Josh’s wife] Anna is on there.”
Meanwhile, Josh is reportedly living a life that’s very much removed from his family.
Having apparently given up on trying to earn the forgiveness of his neighbors and former friends, Josh has thrown himself into a line of work that doesn’t require him to interact with the public.
“He’s got his car business, that’s pretty much all he does is just cars,” says the insider.
“He goes to a different church, he goes to a pretty liberal church, in fact,” the source adds.
If you watch Counting On online, you’re likely aware that the church is the center of the Duggars’ community.
Josh’s decision to attend separate services with a more liberal-minded congregation likely deepened the existing divide within his family.
Of course, it’s possible the decision wasn’t Josh’s to make.
Perhaps the ever-image-conscious Jim Bob didn’t like the idea of sitting in a pew next to a son who’s strayed so far.
Whatever the case, the situation serves as yet another reminder that life on the Duggar compound is not as serene as it appears to be on TV.

The Bachelorette Recap: Hometown Heartbreak For ...
As The Bachelorette spoilers predicted, Bryan Abasolo, Dean Unglert, Eric Bigger and Peter Kraus earned hometown dates this season.
What happens from here on out is a bit more uncertain.
On The Bachelorette Season 13 Episode 8, the four remaining men took Rachel Lindsay home to meet their families, per show tradition.
There was love, romance and a whole lot of awkwardness. There were hard questions and even harder choices. There were gut checks.
You don’t need Bachelorette spoilers to tell you that.
Rachel’s first hometown date was in Baltimore, where she learned exactly why Eric never brought a girl home before, as he revealed.
It may be in part because he was never shown love as a child, as he says, but … he was also a nerd who studied a lot. Who knew?!
Eric’s family grilled her pretty hard, but ultimately, she got the seal of approval as the first girl Eric took home turned out to be a winner.
In Florida, Rachel met Bryan Abasolo’s parents and quickly found out that while his dad is a quiet type, his mother is a force of nature.
That may be why he’s still single, as it turns out.
Bryan and his mom are particularly close, and while that’s a good thing more often than not, she clearly had a hand in his prior breakup.
That might be something of a red flag for Rachel.
He still looks like a frontrunner at this point, though, as does Peter Kraus, who reiterates that being an interracial couple will be alright.
Rachel was obviously worried about how a white family would perceive that aspect, and Peter has been more open than anyone about it.
His mom did drop a different bombshell, though.
Peter admitted that he’s nervous about proposing and that if the final rose ceremony comes along and he’s not ready, then so be it.
Obviously, this is quite understandable, but not what The Bachelorette is hoping to hear – especially from the guy’s mother no less.
When Kraus’ mom revealed to Rachel that she didn’t think her son is ready for marriage right now, she suggested they take it slow.
Will this be the deal-breaker for Kraus?
Not this week, anyway. Her final hometown date was to Aspen, Colorado to visit Dean’s family, specifically his “eccentric” father.
He’s not referring to his dad’s religion with that description, but there’s no doubt that his father being a Sikh does weigh on him.
Dean’s dad converted and became Sikh after the death of Dean’s mother and it’s been an adjustment for the young man, to put it mildly.
While Dean Unglert pleaded with fans in advance of the episode to respect his dad’s faith, he has plenty of other issues with him too.
Most importantly, Dean revealed to his dad that he’s still angry that his father wasn’t there for him emotionally when he needed him.
At that point, Lindsay tried to mediate, but Dean’s father walked off the set; Unglert later said he was falling in love with Lindsay.
Rachel feels his emotions may be displaced, however, and decided to send him home. Not because of his dad, just … because.
With stronger contenders still in the running, and this not being the right time in Dean’s life, it was just time. And then there were three …

Dean Unglert Before The Bachelorette"s Hometown Dates: PLEASE Be Nice About My Dad!
It’s that time again for The Bachelorette‘s hometown dates — always illuminating and often fateful for contestants.
Dean Unglert is a favorite this year, and of course he’s one of the suitors who’s getting a hometown date with Rachel Lindsay.
Dean’s family’s come up before, so he’s taken to the interwebs to issue a plea for religious tolerance — because his dad, as you may remember, is a Sikh.
If you’re scratching your head for a moment and wondering who takes issue with Sikhs, the issue is a little more complicated than that.
Sikhism is, like every faith, complicated, but essentially it’s a panentheistic religion believing in a single God who permeates and transcends every aspect of the universe.
Many people minority faiths see discrimination and mockery, particularly when they are poorly understood by the culture in which they live.
Unfortunately, two realities of Sikhs have led them to face real violence from bigots.
Sikhs wear turbans over their uncut hair as a matter of religious expression.
While Sikhism accepts converts (like, say, Dean’s father), they do not actively seek to convert anyone, and because of that there is a powerful ethnic association for Sikhs.
The result is that you have brown-skinned people wearing turbans and, well, bigots aren’t generally known for their cultured educations.
In the eyes of the ignorant, Sikhs look like Muslims.
(And we’re talking about bigots here, so they see Muslims as targets for violence)
Horrible hate crimes have been committed against Sikhs, which would be vile enough on its own.
But in many cases it seems to be a case of mistaken identity fueled by Islamophobia.
Dean Unglert has described his father as “eccentric” in the past, and received criticism for that by Sikh fans of the show.
Conscious of bias and prejudice within the culture, Dean took to Instagram to ask people to not be dicks about his dad, basically.
“Hometowns are 2 days away! ..and I’m asking for a favor: when I said my father was eccentric, I was not referring to his Sikh faith or the turban he wears on his head.”
He’d already clarified that, but it’s good to repeat it again.
Someone being of a minority faith shouldn’t be seen as a goofy quirk, you know?
“I’m not asking you to spare his feelings (or mine) but instead to be cognizant and accepting of the millions of people that belong to the Sikh community.”
That’s so important.
Representation on television is important, and the folks at home can learn a lot that way.
But none of that works if people ridicule or fear someone else because they’re different, you know?
“Although he and I are not close, I respect my father’s decision to follow his heart and pursue the life he has chosen.”
That’s all that you can ask for, you know?
“Let us not criticize him for his appearance or his beliefs because by doing so we are disparaging an entire faith and culture that includes millions of people.”
That’s such an important statement.
“And I know we are all better than that. That is all (for now) #endrant HAPPY SATURDAY PEOPLE”
Dean is just so charming, you know?
As you might recall, he’s a start-up recruiter who has his mother’s initials tattooed to his chest.
So … his job is very Millennial and his personality is more than a little quirky.
Honestly, Dean is likable even when he’s shading another contestant.
Add to that his boyish good looks that are vaguely (vaguely!) reminiscent of The Flash‘s Grant Gustin, and you’ve got a strong contender.
Then you throw in this very sensitive plea for people to respect his dad’s faith, which is shared by millions.
He’s kind of a dream, right?
Of course, sadly, we already know that Rachel isn’t going to choose Dean.
Dean Unglert was spotted on set for Bachelor in Paradise, which is amazing for that show but not great news for his role on The Bachelorette.
(It also means that he won’t be The Bachelor)
Accidental spoilers, much?
You’d think that if this charming guy isn’t Rachel’s pick, she’d be going with the handsome Peter Kraus.
But actually we’re pretty sure that we know who Rachel will choose on The Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette Recap: Who Earned Hometown Dates?!
As The Bachelorette spoilers (or any Bachelor Nation member) could’ve told you, the final episode before hometowns did not lack for drama.
With Rachel Lindsay’s half dozen remaining suitors leaving it all on the table, there were plenty of intense conversations and hard choices.
The million-dollar question heading into Monday:
Would the final four as predicted by Bachelorette spoilers all season long hold true? Or would an unexpected contender pull an upset?
Certainly, three of the six guys left had an edge.
Rachel announced at the onset that there would be three one-on-one dates and one three-on-one, clearly raising the stakes for each.
Obviously, if you’re going on that three-on-one, you’re in the lower tier, which is undesirable. Bryan Abasolo did not end up there, clearly.
He and Rachel enjoyed a luxurious date in Geneva, Switzerland, buying expensive things and making out. Life could be a lot worse.
Later, Bryan said that the last time he brought a girl home, the romance ended soon after, but he promised his family would love Rachel.
“I was on cloud nine after my last date with you, and I’m going higher,” Rachel said, giving him a rose. “I have to come and meet your family.”
Dean Unglert’s date after that was … awkward by comparison, as they went to a Catholic mass conducted in French which they don’t speak.
Moreover, he was just nervous and generally off, unable to open up about feelings or even make small talk for whatever reason.
Perhaps his youth was showing at last.
Dean, 25, later admitted a lot of “internal conflict” about getting a hometown date, as he feels like the “black sheep” of this group.
His family, he said, is less than perfect.
Every family is, but after Rachel called out his weird behavior, he opened up about it finally, saying his mother died a decade ago.
As for his father, “he is not a person that has any bearing on my emotional experience … my concern is that you would judge my family.”
Not judging them on their own merit, he meant, but using that first impression to determine “what our potential family could be.”
Rachel assured him she would not, He got the rose.
Peter Kraus received the final one-on-one date, and rose, soon after that. Unlike Dean, he talks about his feelings quite freely.
One of the early favorites, he told Rachel that the process had been hard for him, knowing she was also dating the other guys.
Kraus admitted he’d never been with a black girl before, but told Rachel that his parents would be supportive of anyone he fell for.
He also said, in a bit of a jarring admission, that if he got to the end and proposing didn’t feel like the right thing, he wouldn’t do it.
Of course this gave her pause, how can it not, but at the end of the day, it’s honest and refreshing that he would be so true to himself.
On to hometowns for Peter!
Finally, it was the dreaded three-on-one between Adam, Eric and Matt, all of whom knew the odds weren’t good and they had to go all in.
Matt was the first to go, though not for lack of trying. Rachel said through tears that other relationships had progressed faster than theirs.
Adam felt he was a lock to win this three-on-one, and Rachel conceded that he was a guy who cherished every “single second” together.
That wasn’t enough.
She sent him packing too, ultimately choosing Eric, which Adam felt was a huge mistake on her part. Clearly she doesn’t agree.
Eric Bigger spoke about his tough upbringing and how he is motivated to help others because no one ever helped him in life.
He has also never brought a girl home, because he was never shown love and it’s all new to him to feel what he’s feeling now.
Until next week!

The Bachelor Recap: Hometown Dates & Heartbreak?
When Nick took to the hometowns of his final four women, we were wondering if The Bachelor spoilers‘ predicted outcome would be accurate.
Or, as the promos have teased, would there a major twist?
There was in fact a surprise twist involved in The Bachelor Season 21 Episode 8, which we’ll get to in the recap below. As for the results?
Let’s just say not everyone’s family warmed to the suitor after a string of negative press that has dogged Nick Viall since … well, 2014.
There have been so many different seasons with which to watch The Bachelor online at this point that his reputation is well established.
Whether that’s a good thing or not is subject to debate.
First up was Nick’s date with Raven Gates in Hoxie, Arkansas, where of course her brother is a cop, and of course they went four-wheeling.
After some nearly NC-17 mud wrestling in a local wetland, Nick and Raven met her parents and celebrated that her dad is cancer-free.
Even following that far more important news, Nick still went through the motions and asked her dad for permission to propose to Raven.
He said yes … to an engagement. Not a marriage yet.
An interesting caveat, but then again, maybe Raven wasn’t ready either, as she choked hard when attempting to say the L-word to Nick.
In Dallas, we basically got a long intro for Rachel Lindsay as The Bachelorette this summer, as her hometown date couldn’t have gone better.
For a promotional video, that is. And maybe for Nick.
On their hometown date, we learned that Rachel is a committed churchgoer, and who is comfortable in her own skin on many levels.
As for being an interracial couple with Nick, Rachel said it’s not lost on her, but, “you have to be confident to be, you know, not the norm.”
Nick, as the first white guy she’s brought home, was a bit nervous about that fact, especially as her mom openly looked for “red flags.”
She didn’t find any – at least not yet – and Rachel, while she didn’t profess love to Nick, did call the date “perfect,” so we’d call it a win.
In Miami, Corinne Olympios took Nick shopping and made off with $ 3,423 in new clothes (for herself) and a lot of anxiety (for Nick).
At her house, Corinne told Nick she loved him, obviously not holding back like Rachel and Raven had. She’s a real go-getter, Corinne.
As for her family? Corinne’s dad told Nick that she wouldn’t be happy as the breadwinner of the family, which … tells you a lot.
They loved him, though – including Corinne’s nanny – and despite how awkward a lot of that date was, it went really well.
Those fans hoping against hope that Corinne will not be The Bachelor winner may be encouraged by Vanessa’s and Raven’s dates.
Still, Ms. Olympios is who she is, Nick is clearly attracted to that on a very fundamental level, and she acquitted herself well on Monday.
Speaking of Vanessa, in Montreal, she took him to meet her special-needs students in a touching and humbling hometown date experience.
Vanessa’s students approved of Nick, though her parents – her mom’s side first, then her dad’s – would prove to be a harder deal to close.
Her sister and mom feared that Vanessa was going to be too accommodating to Nick and not put herself, her future and her career first.
It’s like they watch The Bachelor or something, right?
At her dad’s, Vanessa realized she had more questions than answers, and he grilled Nick on comparing his daughter to the other three.
Finally, Nick did earn his blessing to propose, should things get to that point, but he had to work for it, and dreaded his upcoming decision.
So who got the boot at the NYC rose ceremony?!
With Nick unsure what to do, and three women (Corinne excluded) second guessing what what they should’ve said, a knock on the door.
Who could it be approaching Nick’s hotel room but Andi Dorfman, the woman whose season started a quixotic TV love quest for Nick.
To be continued, because obviously …

The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 8 Recap: Hometown Dates and Heartbreak
On The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 8, Ben Higgins’ hometown dates resulted in some magical moments, but also devastation.
So it goes on The Bachelor when you reach this stage.
As always, if you wanna know who makes it to the finale and wins Ben’s final final rose, just read The Bachelor spoilers right here.
If you prefer to remain spoiler-free, well, suit yourself!
Picking up where last week left off, The Bachelor Season 20 Episode 8 saw Ben get down to business with his four hometown hotties.
If you watch The Bachelor online, you know this is what separates contenders from the pretenders. Or something along those lines.
The first hometown date was in Laguna Beach, Calif., with Amanda, and her two precious young daughters, Kingsley and Charlie.
They took a little while to warm up, but eventually they did, and Ben showed off what a good dad he will undoubtedly be some day.
Of course, being kids, they had a meltdown in the car before – and during – Ben’s much-anticipated meeting with the rest of her family.
Ben looked like “a deer caught in the headlights,” according to Amanda’s dad, and it’s clear that he was a tad overwhelmed by it all.
Amanda, for her part, felt like it was going great and had no qualms about saying she was in love with Ben and excited about things.
Up next was Lauren Bushnell in Portland, Oregon, with its roses, food trucks, donuts, whiskey library and public displays of affection.
At Lauren’s house, Ben won over her parents, sister and two brothers with relatively little effort and these two are still totes obsessed.
Then it was off to Caila Quinn’s in Hudson, Ohio, where the two spent their date at a toy company (her dad is CEO of said company).
Naturally, the couple designed a house, painted the roof, then physically built the house at the factory, then made out inside the thing.
Pretty much the whole date was a setup so they could make out. And for Caila to get not-at-all ahead of herself with quotes like this:
“I know Ben is the one and I know that I’m going to marry him and I know that we’re going to have a happily ever after.”
Here’s hoping. Based on his interactions at her folks’ house, she may want to temper those expectations just a little bit.
Her dad asked Ben what it’s like “dealing with microwave fame” (fleeting fame for kind of no reason), and as for Caila’s mom?
She asked if he’d ever met any Filipinos before. A fair question, we suppose. At least she seemed to like the guy for the most part.
The most insane date was yet to come, though …
In Dallas, Texas, JoJo Fletcher got f–ked by producers like no other. How? Well, poor JoJo was gifted with a love letter and flowers.
That the staff let her believe came from Ben.
In reality, they were from her ex-boyfriend Chad, which she realized only after she read his romantic letter aloud, on camera.
“No! No! I don’t want to read this,” JoJo said furiously, storming across the room and crying … and then deciding to call Chad.
“I literally have gone through so much since you’ve been gone,” Chad said over the phone. “It’s taken me this time apart to like grow.”
Chad said he knows now “what I want for the future. And it’s you. … Listen. I now know what love is and you showed me what love was.”
JoJo was not having it, however:
“There were so many times that you walked away and didn’t look back, when I begged you to stay and now you’re doing this. Like, now?”
Just then, Ben pulled up in a car outside, forcing her to explain why she was a total wreck. The rest of the date? Not much better!
Higgins did alright with her parents, but her brothers Matt and Ben grilled him and weren’t impressed by what he had to say. At all.
In the end, there could be only three roses, and despite the awkwardness that was Dallas … Ben sent Amanda home in tears.
Who do you think will be the two women Ben is in love with next week when things get even more serious?! Hit the comments!
Still In: Lauren Bushnell, Caila Quinn and JoJo Fletcher.
Out: Amanda Stanton.
