It’s been less than three months since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, but Brad doesn’t strike us as the type to stay single for long.
Sure, his reputation took a hit when he was investigated for child abuse following an altercation with his oldest son, but no charges were filed, and we’re sure there are more than a few women who would still be willing to give Brad a chance.
In fact, there are rumors that Brad is already continuing his streak of hooking up with famous actresses.
Shortly after word of the Brangelina split went public, Hudson responded in the enthusiastic affirmative when Howard Stern asked if she’d be willing to date Brad.
Now, it seems Pitt may have decided to take Hudson up on her offer of a rebound hookup.
“Kate is Brad’s mystery woman,” a source tells the Australian tabloid Women’s Day.
“They’ve become extremely close over the past few weeks, following several secret meet-ups.”
Sounds like nonsense, but interestingly, a second source (one who’s actually willing to be named!) seconded the reports.
“I know both Kate and Brad, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they were dating,” says Kris Herzog, who owns the Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills and has worked with both actors.
Herzog adds:
“Brad would be lucky to date her. They would make a great celebrity couple.”
Herzog worked as Pitt’s bodyguard on several occasions when the actor was still married to Jennifer Aniston, and he’s made a sort of second career out of speculating about Brad’s love life.
So yeah, he might not be the most reliable source on this one.
Pitt has been linked to Marion Cotillard and a slew of other actresses in the months since his split from Jolie, and from the second Hudson suggested she would be interested, it was basically guaranteed that this rumor would fly eventually.
Not surprisingly, a source for Pitt has already denied the rumors to the Daily Mail.
Of course, that would happen regardless of whether or not they were hooking up.
For now, we’re gonna go ahead and quash this one for the simple reason that Brad is a relatively private guy who’s been enduring a lot of unwanted press in recent weeks.
Diving into another high-profile relationship would be the worst move he could make right now, and Pitt’s been in the spotlight long enough to know that.
