Aaron Rodgers has re-entered the world of dating.
The NFL quarterback was spotted on a date with Marie Margolius on Sunday, August 13.
According to US Weekly, the date took place at The East Pole in NYC’s Upper East Side, and they wanted the date to be relatively low-key.
“When they walked in, they asked for a quiet, private booth,” an insider tells Us.
“They sat at an oversized U-shaped booth, but instead of sitting opposite one another, they both sat on the inside close to each other. His arm wasn’t around her, but it was stretched out on top of the booth top behind her.”
Sounds romantic, right?
When it came to what they ordered from the menu, Rodgers indulged in a bacon cheeseburger and a glass of Malbec.
Margolius opted for monkfish and pinot noir.
“He wore his hat tilted very low, and Marie did most of the talking to staff,” the source adds.
“They seemed pretty comfortable with each other.”
It’s unclear whether Aaron was laying low so that ex-girlfriend Olivia Munn did not get wind of the date.
Either that, or he did not want his date under the watchful eye of the media.
Margolius graduated from Harvard University and even played soccer for Ope IF in Sweden. It was a brief career move. At least they have sports in common.
Aaron dated Olivia Munn for three years, but they went their separate ways in April. During the relationship, Aaron steered clear of his family because they apparently did not get along with Munn.
The couple splitting up did come as a surprise when you consider the fact that multiple rumors were swirling that they were about to be engaged.
Maybe Jordan Rodgers appearing and winning The Bachelorette was the final nail in the coffin for the relationship.
If you watch The Bachelorette online, you will know that Jordan went on the show and revealed Aaron was estranged from the family and even subtly blamed Munn for it.
So, whatever the rift, it was likely sent into overdrive all thanks to the ABC reality TV show.
Parting ways with Olivia did not miraculously fix Aaron’s relationship with his family, however.
In fact, he still steers clear of his family.
There was word earlier this year that his mother, Darla, tried to reach out to him multiple, but he did not attempt to call her back.
Will he be able to rekindle his relationship with his family and introduce Marie to them?
We have no idea.
