The Voice Recap: Who Was Sent Home?

Night two of the Knockouts turned up the heat on the latest episode of The Voice, and that meant more people sent home.

Team Adam got to have a break on the latest episode which found Team Alicia, Team Blake and Team Kelly playing out their latest Knockouts.

But who managed to fight their way to the next stage of the competition?

Let’s break down the latest three Knockouts!

Team Kelly: Brynn Cartelli singing “Here Comes Goodbye” vs. Jamella singing “Girl Crush”

Brynn and Jamella going against each other was a foregone conclusion. Brynn did the best she possibly could with such a weak song choice, but she delivered a better performance than Jamella did.

Brynn emerged with the win, and that meant Jamella was the latest contestant to depart the competition. However, Brynn does not have the vocal range to make it much further in the competition.

Expect her to be cut in the next few weeks because, well, she’s got nothing on some of the other singers.

Winner: Brynn

Team Blake: Pryor Baird singing “Will It Go Round in Circles” vs. Jaron Strom singing “Grenade”

Pryor took to the stage and wowed the audience with his rendition of the Billy Preston song. He delivered one of the best performances of the night.

The same could not be said for Jaron, who murdered this Bruno Mars classic. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, and it was unsurprising that he was the one sent home.

Song choice is key, and it makes it seem like the producers are meddling when certain people are given horrible songs to work with.

Team Alicia: Terrence Cunningham singing “Tell Me Something Good” vs. Christiana Danielle singing “Elastic Heart”

Christiana’s performance was spectacular. She managed to get everyone on her side with her striking rendition of the SIA classic.

There’s something about her performance that elevated her above the others. She was confident throughout and delivered in her performance.

Terrance was similarly confident, but his vocals were lacking. He needs to establish what sound he’s going for, and stick with it.

By this time, we should know what to expect when an artist takes to the stage.

Winner: Terrence

Save: Christiana By Alicia
