Nev Schulman Accuser Files Police Report Over Alleged Sexual Misconduct

Back in may, Catfish host Nev Schulman was accused of sexual misconduct.

The woman who brought forward her #MeToo story had appeared on the show, and says that she worried that he might do the same with other women.

Now, she has revealed that she filed her report about the alleged incident with the police.

Ayissha Morgan

Ayissha Morgan tells The Blast that she officially filed two police reports related to her allegations of sexual misconduct that she leveled towards Nev Schulman.

She says that both reports were filed on May 25.

The reports, filed with the Houston Police Department, were made “for what happened during my participation on the show.”

She accuses a production assistant of having plied her with alcohol in order to take advantage of her.

She also accuses Schulman, the host of Catfish, of having sexually harassed her.

(Though sexual harassment is never okay, it is important to note that Ayissha is openly gay, which adds another upsetting layer to the alleged harassment)

Speaking to The Blast, Ayissha explains what that process of speaking to the police was like.

“I have provided them with my statement and detailed accounts of what I went through.”

She has a general message for readers who are curious about her life — from her appearance on Catfish a few years ago and from her new accusations.

“I ask that you please respect my privacy moving forward.”

Of course.

She does not want to answer any more particular questions, in case it interfere with the police as they look into the matter.

“And allow those who are handling the investigation do so without interference.”

Of course. Investigators prefer to be the only ones asking questions.

When Ayissha published her accusations, she did so with a great deal of thought, and included a note, writing:

“I don’t want attention or money.”

So many accuse the accusers of hoping to somehow turn their accusations into fame and fortune, even though most of what accusers face is ridicule.

“Help me spread awareness.”

She admits that she feels tormented by the idea that Schulman may have harassed other women while she has remained silent.

“This is a serious topic that I would never lie about.”

Allegations of sexual misconduct is about as serious as it gets.

“That would be disgusting for me to lie about something as serious as this. Please understand.”

Schulman is said to have repeatedly verbally harassed Ayissha while the two were not on camera.

At one point, he allegedly told her:

“I have a big d–k. I would tear your a– up.”

There are situations in which that is an okay thing to say to a person. When you are a TV host and your guest is very much not interested is not one of those times.

Nev Schulman has denied the allegations.

MTV is making sure that Catfish does not have any further incidents by suspending production on the current season.

It is always smart to play it safe for many reasons, in terms of ethics, public image, and even potential liability issues.

Unfortunately, sexual misconduct is both extremely difficult to prove or disprove.

Ayissha Morgan may need to find a corroborating witness — perhaps she already has one — or at least an outcry witness in order for police to be able to build a case from her report.

Tom Brokaw Blasts Sexual Misconduct Accuser: This Is An Ambush!

Former NBC staffers have accused Tom Brokaw of sexual misconduct, and he has admitted that he acted inappropriately, but says that it did not rise to the level described.

Now, he sent out a mass email to a number of colleagues, in which he takes a much harsher tone towards the accusations and one of the women who made them.

That email has been obtained and published for all to see.

In a lengthy email to his colleagues that has been obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Brokaw denounces the allegations against him.

“It is 4:00 am on the first day of my new life as an accused predator in the universe of American journalism.”

It’s off to a very melodramatic start.

“I was ambushed and then perp walked across the pages of The Washington Post and Variety as an avatar of male misogyny.”

If you think that this hyperbole is a bit much, just wait for this next line.

“Taken to the guillotine and stripped of any honor and achievement I had earned in more than a half century of journalism and citizenship.”

After the hyperbole train comes to a near-stop, he suggests that he knows the motives of Linda Vester, the woman identified by name in the article.

“I am facing a long list of grievances from a former colleague who left NBC News angry that she had failed in her pursuit of stardom.”

He then drops that he’s responsible for her career.

“She has unleashed a torrent of unsubstantiated criticism and attacks on me more than twenty years after I opened the door for her and a new job at Fox news.”

Brokaw seems bewildered that these accusations against him were in print.

“Linda Vester was given the run of the Washington Post and Variety to vent her grievances.”

He then characterizes the accusations against him:

“To complain that I tickled her without permission (you read that right), that I invaded her hotel room, accepted an invitation to her apartment under false pretenses. …”

He sees these accusations as a personal attack.

“And in general was given a free hand to try to destroy all that I have achieved with my family, my NBC career, my writing and my citizenship.”

He says that, essentially, everyone is on his side.

“My NBC colleagues are bewildered that Vester, who had limited success at NBC News, a modest career at Fox and a reputation as a colleague who had trouble with the truth, was suddenly the keeper of the flame of journalistic integrity.”

It sounds like he’s trying to say that she is not trustworthy or truthful. One wonders if he will also say the same about his other accuser if she is named, and about any others who might speak up.

“Her big charge: that on two occasions more than 20 years ago I made inappropriate and uninvited appearances in her apartment and in a hotel room.”

“As an eager beginner, Vester, like others in that category, was eager for advice and camaraderie with senior colleagues. She often sought me out for informal meetings, including the one she describes in her New York hotel room.”

In her accusations, he called her and informed her that she was coming over — after having been turned down when he asked her out for a drink.

“I should not have gone but I emphatically did not verbally and physically attack her and suggest an affair in language right out of pulp fiction.”

She said that he tried to kiss her against her will, which is something that clearly has stuck with her for a long time.

“She was coy, not frightened, filled with office gossip, including a recent rumor of an affair.”

So … they were talking.

“As that discussion advanced she often reminded me she was a Catholic and that she was uncomfortable with my presence. So I left,”

He says that he’s now shocked that she was upset by the visit.

“23 years later, to be stunned by her melodramatic description of the meeting.”

Interesting to hear the guy who just described being guillotined accuse someone else of being melodramatic.

“As I got up to leave I may have leaned over for a perfunctory goodnight kiss, but my memory is that it happened at the door – on the cheek.”

Brokaw says that her description of that kiss was not as she described.

“No clenching her neck. That move she so vividly describes is NOT WHO I AM. Not in high school, college or thereafter.”

Brokaw also says that she left out some details.

“Here is a part of her story she somehow left out. I think I saw her in the hallways and asked how it was going.”

He says that he offered her career advice.

“She was interested in cable start up [sic] and I said I didn’t think that was going anywhere. What about Fox, which was just building up?”

He says that he then made that connection happen.

“She was interested and followed me to my office where, while she listened in, I called Roger Ailes. He said, ‘send her over."”

He then accuses her of hypocrisy by having never said anything publicly about Ailes after he was accused of sexual harassment and forced to resign.

Again, he reiterates that he does not like that the accusations against him were published, as she believes that this woman is biased.

“I am stunned by the free ride given a woman with a grudge against NBC News, no distinctive credentials or issue passions while at FOX.”

He believes that she was accusing him out of a desire for attention, which is a fairly common deflection from people accused of misdeeds.

“Strip away all of the hyperbole and what has she achieved? What was her goal? Hard to believe it wasn’t much more Look At Me than Me:Too.”

Sometimes, it’s difficult to know a person’s true character until you see how they respond to adversity.

And this scathing letter is how Brokaw has responded.

Ed Westwick: Fourth Accuser Files Sexual Assault Report with Police

Last year, actress Kristina Cohen shared her #MeToo story, and accused Ed Westwick of rape.

Then another woman came forward. And then another. And then another. Each story about Westwick was horrifying.

The fourth woman to accuse him, Haley Freedman, has taken the next step and filed a police report.

Haley Freedman was the fourth to come forward about Ed Westwick.

Us Weekly reports that they can confirm that Freedman has now filed a report with police.

A statement that they received from a representative for Freedman states:

“I can confirm Haley filed a police report on Wednesday, regarding allegations that Ed Westwick raped her.”

The statement goes on to describe the next step in her quest for justice.

“She will be meeting with the district attorney next week.”

Kristina Cohen accused Ed Westwick of rape.

In addition to reporting it to police, Cohen bravely came forward with her story of napping in his guest room during a social visit … only to wake up with him on top of her.

Aurelee Wynn is a former actress. She was a friend of a girl who was dating Westwick’s roommate at the time, and she was invited over.

Though she included fewer graphic details than Cohen did, Wynn’s accusation against Ed Westwick involved him allegedly holding her down and tearing the one-piece that she was wearing in order to assault her.

And then there’s the story of former executive assistant Rachel Eck, who accused the Gossip Girl actor of assaulting her before the 2014 Academy Awards.

She says that he was pawing at her and trying to kiss her whenever her ex boyfriend left the room at a social gathering, and that he ignored her efforts to brush him off.

Eck says that he later lured her away in an effort to apologize to her, which is when he allegedly forced her onto the bed and violently groped her.

Fortunately, Eck says that she was eventually able to shove him off and leave.

Haley Freedman is a former stylist who accuses Westwick of making her his sex slave by refusing to allow her to leave.

She says that what began as consensual sex escalated when he asked her to treat him violently, because she refused.

When she declined to choke and spit on him, he allegedly became violent with her, giving her that treatment.

Though she says that she wanted to escape, she says that he detained her, delaying her departure so that he could continue to use her for sex.

It’s a horrifying, stomach-churching accusation.

And, again, this is the fourth woman to accuse Westwick of the unforgivable.

However, a source close to Freedman revealed to Us Weekly that, in her quest for justice, she went to the police “prepared with evidence including personal medication information from her doctors to back up her claims against Ed Westwick.”

We can only speculate as to what form that evidence might take, but sexual assault cases often lack physical evidence — which is why so many rapists avoid convictions or even prosecutions.

For those who hope to see Westwick answer for these allegations, this is good news.

“The police report will remain confidential since there is private medical information that Haley handed over.”

The source continues, saying:

“Haley plans on meeting with prosecutors next week and is fully cooperating with authorities.”

Ed Westwick has posted now-deleted denials about these alleged incidents of rape and sexual assault, saying things like:

“I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”

He has since deleted this message from social media.

The reason for that deletion is almost certainly on advice from his attorney, Blair Berk.

(This isn’t a traffic violation, folks, so let’s not make any Chuck and Blair jokes, please)

Attorneys rarely want their clients making any statements on social media.
