Stay-at-Home Dad Wins Over Web with Post-It Notes for Wife

It"s not easy to be a stay-at-home dad.

But it can be hilarious!

That’s what Chris Illuminati discovered in 2010 after his son was born and he quit his job to play the role of main child-raiser in his family.

It was a challenge, he explains on his official website, Message With a Bottle, which is what prompted Chris to start tacking messages around the home for himself and his wife.

"As a joke (because I"ve never taken anything in life seriously), I wrote down even the simplest of tasks and pinned it to my bulletin board," Illuminati says. "I forgot all about the note. I also forgot to change the baby."

Now with a son and daughter, Chris has been featured on Good Morning America and become Internet famous for the notes he writes in reference to himself, his kids and his wife (often referred to as “Permanent Roommate”).

We"ve shared a few of our favorites below…

1. Being a Child Whisperer

Being a child whisperer

NBD, kid. Most things in life just aren’t as big a deal as you think they are in the moment.

2. It’s Not a Monster

Its not a monster

I mean, it may be a monster of a human being, but still.

3. Dogs vs. Kids

Dogs vs kids

Sadly, it’s not even a competition at times.

4. The Bad News?

The bad news

I’m a bad cook. The good news? My kids have overcome at least one of their fears.

5. More Potty Talk

More potty talk

And, sadly, other things related to the potty as well.

6. Alcohol or Children?

Alcohol or children

Don’t make me choose. Please.

Teacher Shares Heartbreaking Notes From Students

Kyle Schwartz is a third grade teacher in Colorado.

A few years ago, she started asking her students to complete the following sentence as part of an insightful assignment:

“I wish my teacher knew …"

The responses Schwartz received were far more powerful than she could have ever imagined, even though she already knew that 90 percent of the student body qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.

“That means they are living below or very close to the federal poverty line,” Schwartz told Us Weekly.

“I wanted to know more about their lives and how I could better [support] them. Instead of making assumptions about them, I decided to let them tell me what I needed to know.”

And what follows are the children"s responses. They are both eye-opening and heart-breaking…

1. All Alone

All alone

The notes Schwartz received largely centered on what sort of support system, of lackthereof, the kids had at home.

2. I Wish My Teacher Knew…

I wish my teacher knew

This student hasn’t seen his father in six years.

3. No Mother, No Signature

No mother no signature

This is why one student often doesn’t have his or her homework signed.

4. I Want to Go to College

I want to go to college

This is a great sentiment. But the implication is that the student had no one else to tell.

5. A Hard-Working Father

A hard working father

Props to this father. But sadness for his children.

6. I’m Homeless

Im homeless

Can you imagine not having a home to go back to after school?

Kylie Jenner Writes Sweet Notes for Kourtney & Khloe, but Where"s Kim"s??

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian are two lucky ladies. They are two of the few thousand women who received the coveted Kylie Jenner Lip Kits – gifted to them by Kylie herself.

The new lip kits went on sale yesterday and sold out within a half hour – a little longer than the first kits, which were gone within a minute.

Kylie also included personal notes to both sisters along with the packages, writing why each sister is special to her. Both Kourtney and Khloe posted pics of their prezzies and handwritten notes on Instagram.

To Kourtney, Kylie wrote:

“You keep me grounded and teach me to look at the glass half full. I love you.”

Aww, that’s sweet. But do we think Kylie’s focus on boobs and bling is “grounded”? I’d hate to see what she’d be like if Kourt weren’t there.

Kylie’s letter to Khloe read:

“Your strong independent personality inspires me every day. I love you.”

Yes, that certainly sounds like Khloe.

So, what did she write to Kim? Let’s have a look at Mrs. Kardashian-West’s Insta.

Oh. Nothing there. But we do see FIVE consecutive posts plugging her own product – the second, highly disturbing iteration of Kimoji.

But hey, Kim’s been busy. She’s got a baby, whose voice we just heard for the first time on her app, another big baby of a husband who she may or may not be fighting with, and of course, lots of selfies to take.

Although, we don’t know for sure that Kylie even sent one.

A peek at sister Kendall’s Instagram also reveals no image of a gift or note from Kylie, but perhaps posting the makeup would be a conflict of interest due to her modeling contract with Estee Lauder.

Or… maybe Kim and Kendall’s kits just got lost in the mail.
