Quavo "Big Bro" Lyrics Weren"t for Peep Never Speak on the Dead!!!

Quavo is setting the record straight after Lil Peep‘s stans got furious at what they thought were lyrics mocking the late rapper’s death … and he’s doing it by announcing a self-imposed rule.

The Migos rapper tweeted out a message Monday that addressed the massive backlash he received over the weekend on the heels of dropping his solo album, “Quavo Huncho.”

On the song “BIG BRO,” Quavo raps … “Think you poppin’ Xanax bars, but it’s Fentanyl // Think you’re living like rockstars but you’re dead now.”

Tons of people took that as a diss aimed at Lil Peep, and were justifiably pissed over the apparent low blow. But, Quavo clarified his intent behind the lyrics, saying, “Lil Peep Is A Legend A Real Rockstar N E V E R will speak on the deceased.”

He went on to explain that he believes in God, and doesn’t question his plans … adding that he had a 10-year barber who died from Fentanyl use. He capped off his tweet with … “RIP TO ANYBODY WHO LOST THERE LIFE TO DRUG ABUSE!”

As we reported … Peep died from a Xanax and Fentanyl overdose. Many other drugs were discovered in his system as well. He was 21 years old.

Beyonce Blasts Kim Kardashian with Diss Track Lyrics

While Kim Kardashian was busy trying to figure out a way to take down Kylie Jenner — or at least one-up her younger sister as they vie to be Most Successful Kardashian — she should have been wary of someone else.

Beyonce’s come out with some new lyrics that appear to be taking aim at Kim Kardashian.

This feud is heating up again!

It’s true that Beyonce is notorious for dropping new music or explosive new music videos without notice, allowing her art to promote itself through word of mouth and social media as a display of her power and impact.

But no, Beyonce didn’t just drop another Lemonade on us last night.

Instead, she’s lent her considerable talents to DJ Khaled, being featured in his song “Top Off.”

Actually, both Beyonce and Jay-Z are featured — and so is Future, for that matter.

But it’s Queen Bey who’s getting the most attention. In part because she’s Beyonce.

In part, however, because her lyrics appear to be taking direct aim at Kim Kardashian.

Here are the lyrics in question:

“I’m the only lady here, still the realest n–ga in the room.”

The other individuals would be Jay-Z, DJ Khaled, and Future, one assumes.

“I break the internet, top two and I ain’t number two.”

That line sounds innocuous enough as well as a round-about way of calling oneself number one but, as we’ll explain, it appears to be a Kim Kardashian diss track.

And so does:

“My body, my ice, my cash, all real, I’m a triple threat.”

Then there are some lyrics that mesh a little more directly with DJ Khaled’s song but aren’t necessarily as relevant to this.

(And then there’s another fairly direct call-out but we’ll get to that in a moment)

Let’s start with that line about her body and her wealth and her ice being “all real.”

Ice, of course, is a reference to jewelry not being fake. As for wealth, Jay-Z revealed in his 4:11 album that Kanye is apparently in debt to him. Is Beyonce implying that maybe Kanye’s wealth is at least partially an illusion?

But it’s been rumored time and time again that Kim Kardashian’s body is the result of plastic surgery. Or that, at the very least, she’s had a little work done to keep herself looking her best.

Kim has spoken out about these rumors on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying that they’re not true.

When Beyonce says that she breaks the internet, it could not more clearly be a reference to Kim’s epic Paper photo.

Whether in lust or awe or confusion or shock or a newfound definition of how humans could look, Kim Kardashian’s infamous viral photo was everywhere a few years back.

Obviously, the photo did no damage to the internet, but merely received a tremendous amount of attention.

Beyonce also receives a tremendous amount of attention — for her songs, for her music videos, for her activism.

Her jab at Kim may go beyond saying that she’s better.

Beyonce may be highlighting that Kim’s most powerful social media presence tends to come from her body, rather than from creative output.

Of course, Kim Kardashian wasn’t the only person at whom Beyonce took aim with her lyrics on this song.

“Two deep, it’s just me and JAY / Just posted in them courtside seats.”

And then:

“Woo! I’m like “hol’ up / Woo! I might roll up \ If they’re tryna party with the queen / They gon’ have to sign a non-disclosure, ayy”

That has been identified by numerous fans as a clear reference to Tiffany Haddish revealing too much about Beyonce recently.

Solange Knowles: Still Pissed at Jay Z! Validated By "Lemonade" Lyrics!

It’s ancient gossip history at this point, but you probably remember the 2014 incident in which Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, attacked Jay Z in an elevator at a Met Gala after-party.

If you somehow forgot (or just want to relive one of the Carter family’s most profoundly WTF?! moments) check out the video below:

Yeah, when we said “attacked,” we didn’t mean Solange gave Jay a piece of her mind.

The the girl went full Jerry Springer on Hov, and it’s worth noting that her famous sister pretty much just stood there and let it happen.

At the time, it was rumored that Solange was pissed about rumors that Jay was cheating on Bey with Rachel Roy.

Now that Roy is one of the suspected Beckies cited in Bey’s Lemonade release as possible Jay side-pieces, Solange must be feeling more than a little smug.

The lesser-known Knowles has been in favor of her sister dropping the Jigga Man for quite some time, and it seems she’s no longer alone in her efforts.

“Everyone in Beyonce’s family is supportive of them staying together except for Solange,” a source tells Hollywood Life.

“She was so happy when Beyonce was making moves to leave Jay Z – she thinks Beyonce deserves better than a guy that wants to run around. “

We think pretty much everyone would agree with that.

The source adds that Bey has tried to force her husband and sister to patch things up, but that now that seems less likely than ever:

“Beyonce tried to make Solange and Jay Z kiss and make up, but it hasn’t really worked. They’re civil with each other for Beyonce’s sake, but that’s as far as it goes.”

So it looks like Solange was right and Jay was acting like a dog.

The only question now is: does Bey’s little sister know who Becky is?

Azealia Banks, Iggy Azalea BOTH Attack Beyonce Over "Lemonade" Lyrics

Well, the lyrics to Beyonce’s Lemonade album are still tearing the freaking country apart for some reason, but in an unexpected twist, the controversial recording has managed to very temporarily unite two longtime rivals.

Yes, it seems Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks are finally both on the same page about something…kind of.

We’ll start with Iggy, since her criticism of Queen Bey is stupider and therefore easier to unpack.

Like so many others, Iggy has been thinking a lot about Beyonce’s “Becky” line.

Unlike the others, however, Iggy isn’t concerned with the identity of Becky, but rather with what the lyric means for oppressed people … like Iggy Azalea.

Shortly after the “visual album” version of Lemonade hit HBO, someone on Twitter accused Iggy of being racist for objecting to being referred to by the B-word.

(“Becky,” of course. What did you think we meant?)

“Girl BYE,” Iggy tweeted in response. “Do you know how many time ppl have called me BECKY? it didnt have any kind of positive intention behind it. dont start.

Naturally, the tweet left Iggy vulnerable to attack from hundreds of fans who pointed out that the notion Iggy Azalea complaining about being racially discriminated against is a tad ridiculous.

Several media outlets reported the story as I-G-G-Y accusing Beyonce of being racist, an angle that the Aussie rapper took umbrage with:

“Its not clickable if you say it how it is, is it? We all know this game by now,” Iggy tweeted yesterday.

But…if she thinks people who use the word Becky to refer to white women are racist, and Beyonce used the word to…never mind. We’ll leave it to Twitter to tell Iggy how dumb her argument is.

Moving on to the Azealia who’s superior both in terms of rap skills and her ability to piss everyone off, Ms. Banks also took issue with Bey’s lyrics as well, but for very different reasons:

“This heartbroken black female narrative you keep trying to push is the Antithesis of what feminism is,” Azealia tweeted in one of the more intelligent critiques of the album we’ve heard thus far.

“You been singing about this n–ga for years and he still playing you. That’s not strength that’s stupidity.

“And it’s not what the national black women’s conversation needs right now. More pain more suffering in the face of a man.”

“You keep crying over a man and perpetuating that sad black female sufferance and it’s Not good for what we’re trying to accomplish here.”

Again, we won’t weigh in on whether or not we think Azealia is being fair or unfair here, but it’s certainly a more thought-provoking argument than the dumbassery being spewed by the likes of Iggy Azalea and Piers Morgan.

At the end of the day, we like the album from a musical standpoint, and hey – if Jay Z is cool with those lyrics, we’re pretty sure just about anyone can come to terms with them.

Jay Z: PISSED at Beyonce Over "Lemonade" Lyrics?!

In case you somehow missed it, Beyonce released Lemonade – her surprise “visual album” – over the weekend and the whole world proceeded to lose it’s freaking mind.

The fact that the album is pretty solid musically has been overshadowed by the drama surrounding its release (It briefly looked as though only Tidal subscribers would have access to the full tracklist.) and especially its lyrics.

Obviously, Queen Bey is no stranger to controversy following the minefield surrounding “Formation,” but despite its innocuous title “Lemonade” is somehow kicking up even more dust.

In addition to the usual hand-wringing from cultural conservatives (Piers Morgan just asked Twitter if white people are allowed to listen to the album.), there’s been a veritable uprising from Mrs. Carter’s most obsessive fans (commonly referred to as “the Bey Hive”) over lyrics that seem to suggest the singer’s, rap legend Jay Z, was unfaithful.

Bey hasn’t responded to claims that she called Jay out for cheating but based on some of the more revelatory lines from her latest release, she may not have to.

At first it was reported that Jay was cool with the lyrics, but now several insiders are claiming that the hip hop icon is not happy about his marital strife playing out on a public stage.

“Jay Z is not on board with Beyonce’s new album,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.

“He hates the direction that her music is taking. Jay Z honestly feels like he is the reason that Beyonce has become so famous.”

It seems Jay is upset not only that his wife is venting her frustrations with their marriage in her music, but also with the fact that Bey is a bigger part of the national cultural conversation than ever, while he hasn’t had a major release since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.

“The tables have turned in their marriage and her recent success is just driving them further apart,” the insider says.

“She resents him for so many things right now.”

Right now, it looks as though there’s no truth to the rumors that Beyonce and Jay Z are in the process of divorcing, but it certainly seems there’s plenty of trouble in what was once regarded as one of Hollywood’s most stable marriages.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Rita Ora Breaks Silence on "Lemonade" Lyrics

Well, you have to hand it to her for speaking up.

Rita Ora wants everyone to know that she has nothing to do with Beyonce’s “Lemonade.”

Today, the British singer Tweeted that any rumor connecting her to Beyonce’s single about “He better call Becky with the good hair,” whom fans initially thought was about designer Rachel Roy.

“I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false,” Ora wrote.

“I have nothing but the upmost respect for Beyonce. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.”

Ora posted two photos to social media that prompted a collective WTF from fans.

The first showed her in a lemon bra, while the second featured poster art for 1973’s Ash Wednesday, about a woman who changes her appearance to win back her husband.

Roy also put out a statement denying any sort of involvement with Beyonce and Jay-Z, even though she had been reportedly carrying on an affair with Jay prior to the MET Ball in May 2014.

“I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest.

“My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that,” Royal stated, referring to an Instagram she posted in response to Beyonce’s lyrics.

“There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally.

There is no truth to the rumors.”

12 Most Cryptic Beyonce Lyrics from "Lemonade"

We"ve already taken a look at memorable GIFs from the Beyonce HBO special, "Lemonade."

But most fans are focused on the content of the songs on this record, even more than on the beautiful images that were featured on said special.

How many times did Beyonce reference alleged cheating by Jay Z? With Rachel Roy, perhaps?

Let the guessing games begin, as you click through the most mysterious/cryptic/interesting lyrics off "Lemonade" below:

1. Beware My Wrath

Beware my wrath

Just give my fat ass a big kiss, boy/Tonight I’m fucking up all your sh-t, boy, this is your final warning/You know I give you life/If you try this sh*t again you gon’ lose your wife.

2. In Spoken Word:

In spoken word

So what are you going to say at my funeral now that you’ve killed me? Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace, my true love, who I took for granted.

3. Something. Is. Not. Right.

Something is not right

Something don’t feel right because it ain’t right, especially coming up after midnight. I smell your secrets and I’m not too perfect to ever feel this worthless. How did it come down to this, going through your call list?. I don’t wanna lose my pride but I’ma f-ck me up a bitch.

4. Where is He?!?

Where is he

Looking at my watch, he shoulda been home. Today I regret the night I put that ring on. He always got them f-cking excuses.

5. A Reference to Rachel Roy?!?

6. Daddy/Husband Issues?

Kim Kardashian: DISGUSTED By Kanye"s Lyrics About Taylor Swift?

Ever since Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married back in May of 2014, the couple has been at the center of countless divorce rumors.

Obviously, in the past they all turned out to be bogus, but this time, we have reason to believe that the end of Kimye might be really be upon us for two very good reasons:

  1. The couple has done little to refute the many, many reports that their marriage is soon to come to an end, and

  2. We can’t imagine anyone putting up with Kanye’s recent behavior without formulating an escape plan.

Naturally, Kim has been upset by much of Kanye’s recent behavior (and we’re guessing she’s not thrilled about his $ 53 million in debt, either), but there was one outburst in particular that really made her consider walking out.

According to Radar Online, Kim was “disgusted” by Kanye’s attack on Taylor Swift, and she’s now demanding that the rapper do whatever he can to make things right with the beloved singer.

“Kim and pretty much the entire family are absolutely horrified over Kanye’s recent behavior,” says a source close to the situation.

“The lyrics on his album are atrocious and his attack on Taylor disgusting. Kim’s now on the warpath and Kanye’s being bullied into submission.”

The insider says that unless Kanye earns Taylor’s forgiveness, Kim will pull the plug on her badly troubled marriage:

“Kim has actually threatened to walk out on him and said he’ll never see his kids, her or her family again unless he gets his anger under control and apologizes to everyone who’s been hurt, including Taylor,”

“She’s sick of cleaning up after his messes and not everyone realizes it was she who orchestrated Kanye’s dinner with Taylor last year.”

So the fate of Kanye’s marriage rests in Taylor’s hands. We’d be worried if we were him. Anyone who’s listened to her music knows she loves a good breakup.

Taylor Swift: Awesome Judge Quotes Singer"s Lyrics While Dismissing Lawsuit

When you’re as successful as Taylor Swift, nuisance lawsuits are a common occurrence.

But apparently, being sued can sometimes be an absolute pleasure – so long as you win the case, and your judge happens to be an amateur song parodist with a sharp sense of humor.

The story goes: Taylor was being sued for $ 42 million by a man named Jessie Braham, who claims that Taylor stole the lyrics for “Shake It Off” from his 2013 song “Haters Gonna Hate.”

The case was dismissed today in a fashion that will surely be appreciated by fans of Swifty:

“At present, the Court is not saying that Braham can never, ever, ever get his case back in court,” reads the dismissal order from US Magistrate judge Gail J Standish.

“As currently drafted, the Complaint has a blank space — one that requires Braham to do more than write his name.

“And, upon consideration of the Court’s explanation in Part II, Braham may discover that mere pleading Band-Aids will not fix the bullet holes in his case…At least for the moment, Defendants have shaken off this lawsuit.”

Oh, snap! Looks like Taylor’s not the only who can dole out epic burns in song form.

Sadly, the judge didn’t actually sing the verdict, but we get the feeling the result would have been as hilariously stiff as presidential candidate Martin O’Malley’s rendition of “Bad Blood.”

Alanis Morissette Updates "Ironic" Lyrics, Nails it

Back when some of you were just learning to hold a bottle, the rest of us were enjoying the bittersweet sounds of Alanis Morissette.

Morissette"s CD, Jagged Little Pill, was released in June 1995, and since the interweb wasn"t advanced enough to master the whole "online shopping" thing,  we the people had to haul ass to Tower Records if we wanted play "You Oughtta Know" on repeat.

One of my favorite singles from the album is "Ironic," ah delightfully catchy tune about life"s WTF everything is the worst "aww hell" moments.

Morissette performed her song live on The Late Late Show last night with host James Corden, and even updated the lyrics to reflect these trying times of "Swiping left on your soul mate," "It"s like Netflix, but you own DVDs," and the worst offender, "It"s like you"re first class…on a Southwest plane, then you realize that every seat is the same."

It was like being back in a coffee house, listening to some chick wearing a beanie and long, hippie hair sing about the lemons life hands her.
