Arrow Season 6 Episode 1 Recap: Who Died on Lian Yu?

Arrow finally returned last night, and we finally found out who died after the crazy explosion on Lian Yu at the conclusion of Arrow Season 5

When Arrow Season 6 Episode 1 got underway, it was five months later, and we got the reveal that Oliver, Diggle, Curtis, and Rene had survived the blast.

If you watch Arrow online, you will already know that Malcolm Merlyn blew himself up to save Thea right before the island exploded, but was it all for nothing?

As the episode progressed, we got flashbacks to find out what happened, and it did not look good for Thea.

Slade found her lifeless body and led Oliver to say goodbye to his sister.

Because Willa Holland has been less prominent on the hit CW series of late, she seemed poised to exit, but everything was not as it appeared.

Thea was revealed to be in a coma, so that was not quite as bad as an off-screen death.

It remains to be seen whether Holland is sticking around with the show, but if the actress does not return, we guess she could be killed off-screen.

The other person who did not make it out of the blast alive was Samantha, who was adamant that Oliver takes on their son full-time in the aftermath.

However, William felt like Oliver was the person who caused the blast because of what Adrian said and the kid favored Reza over Oliver.

After much back and forth, Oliver managed to get William on his side after revealing that he did everything he could to save his mother and that he would never do anything to hurt him.

The other person presumed dead on the island was Black Siren. She attacked Lance and Dinah, forcing Lance to shoot her.

They left her on the island for dead, but someone appeared to bring her back into the land of the living, and she went to war with the residents of Star City.

She blew up the SCPD offices and killed nine officers.

Thankfully, Rene had just graduated to become an officer, so at least the city knew it was going to need some new officers.

When the graduation ceremony for the SCPD officers came, everyone expected there to be a terrorist attack, but for some reason, nothing happened.

The Arrow lair was then intercepted by Black Siren and her goons, and Diggle was forced to fight for his life.

The team showed up in time, but they realized that Siren had stolen one of the devices Curtis used earlier to detonate a missile headed for Star City.

With that, it left the team questioning the villain’s next move, but things took a crazy turn when a picture of Oliver as Green Arrow was leaked to the media.

How will the Mayor be able to spin this one? We’ll need to wait another week to find out!

Arrow continues next Thursday on The CW!

AGT Contestant Gets Shot in Neck by Flaming Arrow

Everyone makes mistakes.

It"s just that not everyone"s mistakes take place on live television… in front of millions of viewers… and they don"t all involve the misguided shooting of a flaming arrow.

Allow us to explain…

On Tuesday"s not installment of America"s Got Talent, Ryan Stock once again aimed to shock and impress the judges.

This contestant has been known thus far death-defying stunts that included the use of drills and chainsaws, so it wasn"t stunning to see him go with a flaming arrow this time around.

As tension built to the climax of the audition, Stock"s assistance, AmberLynn Walker, grabbed a crossbow and climbed up high.

Stock bent over, with his hands on his knees and a target in his mouth.

AmberLynn then shot the arrow…

… and hit Stock in the neck.

Incredibly, Stock remained standing, clearly surprised and a bit hurt, although he insisted he was alright.

Still, an America"s Got Talent medical technician ran on stage to check on Ryan, sprinting back off when it appeared as if he actually was okay.

After remaining understandably quiet and concerned for a few moments, the judges awkwardly ran through their critiques until Simon Cowell piped in as the voice of reason and asked:

“Why are we even judging this?"

Stock was then hurried off stage.

He later took to Twitter and assured fans that he really is doing fine.

"We had a serious mishap tonight outage live on @nbcagt," he wrote. "A very unfortunate mechanical failure but I am very fortunate to walk away from it."

Naturally, the stunt quickly went viral, with viewers turning the mishap into the most buzzed-about thing to happen on AGT in ages.

“Finally #AGT figures out what #amurica wants to watch, a chick shooting her fiancé in the chest with a crossbow,” wrote @shortmenti, while another user added:

"Watching #AGT live shows and this chick literally just shot her fiancé in the collar with a flaming crossbow on accident. This show is crazy."

Stock is safe and sound, so feel free to watch the following video and even to laugh at it if the mood strikes you.

It really is pretty nuts!

Arrow Season 4 Episode 18 Recap: Who"s in the Grave?!?

We have our answer, Arrow fans.

Following a season opening tease that featured Oliver standing over the grave of an unknown character, Arrow Season 4 Episode 18 revealed the identity of this character.

It’s Laurel Lance.

She’s dead.

As Team Arrow set out to stop Damien Darhk’s Malcolm Merlyn-assisted prison break this week, viewers learned that Laurel (also known, of course, as The Black Canary) was the one on the wrong end of a different kind of arrow.

Darhk even twisted the weapon into her good for food, violent, painful measure.

Later, at the hospital, Oliver’s former love interest and long-time close friend succumbed to her wound, although not before bidding Oliver and others an emotional goodbye.

“I was OK with it,” original cast member Katie Cassidy told reporters at a screening earlier this week.

“We all sort of came to an understanding that this is what was going to happen, and it made sense to me.”

The actress assumes there will be significant “shock value” to come out of Laurel’s murder and thinks that can only be a positive thing as Arrow Season 4 forges ahead.

“It’s such a turn in the story that it gives them so much more to do and places to go with it,” she said. “Otherwise, I feel like shows can get stale.”

As for how Cassidy wants her character to be remembered?

As “such a good person [who] had such a good heart and was a fighter.”

Are you sad to see the Black Canary go? Surprised?

Sound off in the Comments section below and go watch Arrow online if you want to see how these fatal events transpired.

Watch Arrow Online: Check Out Season 4 Episode 16!

Wedding bells were in the air on Arrow Season 4 Episode 16.

Yes, Oliver and Felicity finally got married! Sort of!

On this installment of The CW favorite, a heartbroken Cupid (guest star Amy Gumenick) returned to Star City and she had only one goal in mind: to destroy anyone in love.

GULP!

The team learned that she was killing couples on their wedding day so, as a result, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) decide to pose as bait in order to put a stop to these murders.

Did they succeed? How did this fake wedding affect the characters?

Arrow Season 4 Episode 15 Recap: Is It Over for Olicity?

The secret is out.

But is the engagement over?

On Arrow Season 4 Episode 15, Damien Darhk confronted Oliver after the mayoral debate (and after Felicity’s first biostimulant microchip therapy session) to show him a cellphone phone photo of his son, William.

The young man is doing just fine… except for the whole part about being kidnapped.

This obviously prompted Felicity to inquire about the boy’s identity, prompting Oliver to finally reveal his big secret.

He explained the ultimatum that William’s mother, Samantha, made Oliver swear to, though it wasn’t enough to prevent Felicity from reacting to the news in shock and pain.

Still, there was a child to rescue. That’s where the focus had to be.

Oliver enlisted the helped of Vixen to free Williams from Darhk’s clutches, with the team eventually using the “key lines” running through Star City to learn the whereabouts of Darhk’s compound in Sky Woods.

The mission was a success…William was freed…  Oliver recorded a video for him to watch on his 18th birthday that explained why he chose to stay far away from his son (so that the child could leave a normal, safe life)… and all was well, right?

Wrong.

Felicity then had to have her say.

Yes, she had confirmed the ultimatum handed down by Samantha. But, no, that didn’t make Oliver’s secret-keeping okay.

For one thing, on the Arrow Season 3 finale, they had agreed to always be honest with each other.

For another, even with this choice to send William away, Oliver never discussed the situation with Felicity. You know, his fiancee.

“Once again, you have left me out of the decision,” she said, dropping the engagement ring on the table in front of Oliver.

And then, as you’ll see when you watch Arrow online, the microchip started to kick in.

Within seconds, Felicity had risen to her feet, stood up… and walked away from Oliver.

Arrow Season 4 Episode 14 Recap: A Secret Uncovered

You know what they say, right?

The son also sets… one up to be vulnerable in ways like never before.

On Arrow Season 4 Episode 14, it was troubling enough for Oliver Queen that Damien Darhk’s wife, Ruve, decided to run against him for mayor.

But then Damien went ahead and had Oliver’s son, William, kidnapped, and now the child is the Darhks’ new house guest and now the stakes have really been raised.

Granted, Oliver does not yet know that his son is in the hands of his mortal enemy, but it’s safe to assume he’ll find out on next week’s installment of Arrow Season 4.

Thea, meanwhile, is now aware that William exists due to the finding of a million dollar check that was never cashed during her defensive campaign research.

But the question is this: When will Felicity find out the same secret? And how will she react once she does?

While we’re on the subject of Felicity:

She may soon be out of that wheelchair because, as a wedding gift, Curtis has been working on a special spinal implant that would allow her to walk again, possibly in time to actually walk down the aisle.

That sounds promising and all, but Curtis wants to use a unique, never-ending power source?

Why do we feel like this may not go so smoothly?

In her exchange with him, Felicitiy referred to Curtis as “terrific,” forecasting his future as Mr. Terrific.

We end with a request: Can Mama Smoak (Charlotte Ross) stick around forever?!?

Felicity’s mother is no longer some kind of annoying presence; she’s a valued and fun member of the family who we’d love to see on a weekly basis.

What did you think of the episode? You can watch Arrow online if you need to catch up and then you can answer this:

How far do you think Damien will go when it comes to William?!?

Arrow Season 4 Episode 12 Recap: A Daddy Issue

Viewers witnessed a significant return and a major reveal on Arrow Season 4 Episode 12.

First, we welcomed back Colton Haynes as Roy “Arsenel” Harper, as the heor was blackmailed by a villain known as The Calculator.

He was coerced into steal some Palmer tech toys.

The details of Roy’s rescue aren’t overly important, however, because it was what took place after Oliver and company solved this forced servitude problem that has all fans talking today:

The Calculator (portrayed by veteran actor Tom Amandes) spent a bulk of the episode squaring off against Felicity over the computer screen, meaning these two never lay eyes on each other.

But just because our favorite wheelchair-bound heroine emerged victorious in an entertaining clash of keyboards, that didn’t her business with the mysterious menace was over.

Meaning what, exactly?

Following a rousing presentation to the Palmer Tech board, Felicity came face-to-face with The Calculator’s public persona, Noah Cutler.

But that’s not what she knows him as. She knows him as… DAD!

Allow us to repeat: The Calculator is Felicity’s father!!!!!

Showrunner Wendy Mericle spoke to TV Line about the revelation and viewers will learn a lot more next Wednesday about Cutler, his history and where things may go from here.

Before you go watch Arrow online to relive this significant installment, though, here’s a tease regarding how Felicity will react, courtesy of Mericle:

She wants to believe that her father loves her and that he has a vested interest in who she is and knowing her and having a relationship with her, and she feels very torn about that – even though she knows right off that bat, at the top of [next episode], who he really is.

Arrow Season 4 Episode 11 Recap: Blasted from the Past

Fans were treated to a double dose of Felicity on Arrow Season 4 Episode 11.

While our paralyzed heroine tried to put on a brave face at home for Oliver (even pushing for the nickname “Hot Wheels”), she struggled with her role on Team Arrow wondering what she brings to the team now that she’s stuck in a wheelchair.

This prompted a visit from her younger, very Goth self, someone who invited herself to Felicity’s “pity party.”

Felicity 1.0 wasn’t happy with her future self, saying she “wasted” her confidence and strength in order to “play superhero.”

OUCH.

But Felicity didn’t have a lot of time to sort through her internal problems… because she was needed at work. She had to offer her typical cyber assistance while Oliver, Diggle and company stormed a port being used by an A.R.G.U.S.-hating Shadowspire organization.

Haunted by her hallucination, though, Felicity was not up to the task and her mistake briefly got Diggle captured.

Later on, at the loft, Felicity told her fiancé how she felt guilty about this screw up. But Oliver wasn’t hearing it.

He tried to comfort his confused partner, only for Goth Felicity to get inside Real Felicity’s head, prompting her to say she can no longer be on the team and basically ordering Oliver to leave.

After sparring inside her head with her former self – and after hearing Goth Felicity taunt her about ex-boyfriend Cooper and how she now has a “ringside seat” to the rest of her life – Felicity grew inspired.

She wasn’t going down like this!

So Felicity wheeled herself into the lair and gave Oliver a speech about how her younger self was filled with anger, too much anger to help anyone.

Her condition isn’t Oliver’s fault or her fault or anyone’s fault but one evil main who has an “alliterative name” and who they are “going to stop.” Why?

“Because it’s what we do, it’s who we are.”

Yeah! You tell ’em, Felicity!

At the conclusion of the hour, Felicity burned a photo of that “rebellious brunette hacker who didn’t listen anyone’s rules but her own.”

Oliver proceeded to share his own hope for the future, telling the love of his life quite simply:

“I’ve seen people speed and shrink and fly, come back from dead…. That is the world we live in now. So I will not stop searching it until we find away to make you walk again.”

Go watch Arrow online to get caught up if need be and join us in giving a standing (no pun intended) ovation to Olicity.

Arrow Season 4 Episode 10 Recap: One Life to Live

Felicity Smoak lives.

Even more intriguing of a development from Arrow Season 4 Episode 10? Felicity Smoak will live.

Thanks to a new flash forward, we learned on the 2016 premiere of this CW hit that Felicity is NOT the person in the grave that we first saw on the Arrow Season 4 premiere.

But that doesn’t mean everything is peachy keen in her future.

First, however, her past: Felicity survived the gun shot from Damien Dahrk’s ghost to end last year. But she’s paralyzed.

In order to seek revenge against Darhk, Team Arrow took extreme measure, such as Diggle beating up his brother to learn the location of Darhk’s base of operations

The most extreme measure, however, was taken by Oliver… who didn’t actually visit his fiancee in the hospital for a very long time.

Yes, he was fighting crime. Yes, he was trying to avenge her injuries. Yes, he was even releasing Anarky after Laurel had him arrested.

But come on, man.

When Oliver did at last go visit Felicity (and only because everyone else made him do so), she was in shockingly good spirits and was totally not mad at him like she ought to have been.

However, she was very afraid that he would no longer want to marry him.

Fortunately, Oliver did step up in this instance and placed the engagement ring back on her finger after doctors have removed it.

He kissed Felicity and then he left Felicity, actually heading out to save Damien’s family from Anarky; in return, Damien gave Oliver “a few weeks” more with his own family.

The clock is now ticking.

As for when the clock sped ahead four months?

We saw Oliver leave the infamous, mysterious grave and we saw him get into a limousine with Felicity already inside.

She told Oliver that he has to kill “that son of a bitch,” making us wonder if it’s someone close to her who dies.

Go ahead and watch Arrow online to then catch a rather big clue in this flash forward. Not only is there tension between Felicity and Oliver… but she is no longer wearing her engagement ring.

What is about to happen to tear these two apart?!?
