Jill Duggar Posts Transphobic "Prayer," Gets Bashed By Fans

It often seems that not a day goes by without some sort of Jill Duggar parenting controversy.

More often than not, mountains are made from molehills, and Jill is criticized or praised for behavior that’s not all that different from what most moms do on a daily basis.

See, for example, yesterday’s debate about Jill’s parenting that centered around her decision to let her son watch television.

However, today’s mini-scandal is actually legitimate and serves as a reminder that even the most modern Duggars are still holding onto some very outdated ideas.

Back in November of 2017, Derick Dillard was fired by TLC after he launched a transphobic tirade at fellow network star Jazz Jennings.

Jill quit the show in a gesture of solidarity and was slammed by fans for standing by her man’s bigotry.

This week, she reminded those same fans that she very much shares Derick’s beliefs:

Jill posted the above photo to Instagram yesterday, along with a caption reading:

“I got this at a #MOPS meeting my amazing momma was speaking at a few months ago.

“Not sure where she got it from, but it’s super good.”

Fans zeroed in on the last item on the list, which reads, “that our boy would be glad to be boys and our girls glad to be girls.”

As In Touch Weekly points out, many interpreted the prayer as a shot at the transgender community.

“The last one was totally a dig at transgender people. Not good,” wrote one commenter.

“Wow… the last prayer blatantly asking to not have a transgendered child. What the f–k,” remarked another.

Others defended Jill by insisting that she’s not necessarily transphobic … she just hopes she doesn’t have a trans kid.

“What is so wrong with being happy with the gender you’re born with? Isn’t that ultimately the goal?” questioned one supporter.

“It never said ‘pray you don’t have transgender children’ It said pray that your children are happy to be who they are.

The commenter continued:

“Being transgender is often a tough thing for many people and causes them damage because they struggle with identity for a while.”

We understand the argument, but we also think it’s abundantly clear that Jill and Derick would not be okay with raising a transgender child.

This might not be the most blatant instance of Duggar bigotry, but it’s a troubling reminder that some of the family’s most backward beliefs live on in the next generation.

Meghan Markle Bashed By Brother: She"s Ruining Our Family!

We’re just weeks away from the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and royal insiders say the preparations are proceeding apace.

Of course, not everyone is pleased with the news updates coming out of Kensington Palace.

Harry and Meghan’s invitations were sent out last week, and while estimates on the size of the guest list have varied widely, sources concur that several members of Meghan’s immediate family were snubbed.

Meghan’s sketchy half-sister, Samantha Markle, has already complained that she didn’t receive an invitation.

Although we can’t imagine that came as much of a surprise, as Samantha has basically been making a career of trash-talking her sister ever since the world learned Meghan was dating Harry.

And unfortunately, she’s not the only sketchy Markle sibling.

Meghan has a half-brother named Thomas Markle Jr., and he’s also been throwing shade for anyone who cares to listen.

In fact, his assessments of Meg might be even more brutal than Samantha’s – but remarkably, Thomas still believes his invitation is in the mail.

“She’s clearly forgotten her roots. It’s torn my entire family apart,” Thomas recently told The Daily Mail.

“Meg likes to portray herself as a humanitarian, a people’s person and a charitable person but she is none of those things to her family.”

Thomas went on to claim that Meghan is a master con artist who has successfully pulled the wool over the Royal Family’s eyes:

“She is giving the greatest performance of her life. She is acting phoney,” Thomas says.

“I’ve read that Meg wants to be like Diana. Diana was worshipped by everyone in the world. She was loved for the right reasons. That’s what Meg wants, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. She’s not genuine like Diana.”

At this stage, we’d lke to remind you that despite repeatedly trashing his half-sister in the press, Thomas Markle still believes he’ll be rubbing elbows with royalty next month:

“I haven’t got an invite yet but I do expect to get one,” he said.

“It would be really nice [to get an invitation] and it would mean a lot. I do expect one and I’m looking forward to going. I don’t see why not. It is what it is. I am family, estranged or not.’

Markle Jr’s ex-wife Tracey Dooley and son Tyler, 26, have already spoken with the press and revealed that they were snubbed.

They might want to have a talk with Thomas and help him manage his expectations.

Serena Williams Covers Vogue, Gets Bashed By Racist Trolls

Yes, we know everyone wants Oprah to be president after her Golden Globes speech on Sunday night, but for our money, if there’s anyone who can unite this divided country, it’s Serena Williams.

Serena is one of the world’s most dominant athletes; she’s an inspiration to millions; she won a freakin’ Australian Open while pregnant, and she’s married to a tech gazillionaire.

What we’re saying is, we will personally engage in fisticuffs with anyone who has even the slightest complaint about Serena.

Which sadly means we’re gonna have to fight a bunch of basement-dwelling, bigtoted troglodytes.

As you can seen, Serena covers the new issue of Vogue with her adorable 4-month-old daughter.

And as further proof that we’re living in the Darkest Timeline, people are upset about it.

Yes, as hard as it might be to believe that anyone could be so bitter about their own crappy life that they would take issue with a photo of a world-class athlete and her 4-month-old baby, it seems the goal of 2018 is to remind us each and every day that the planet is populated by humans so cartoonishly evil that they wouldn’t be welcome in Slytherin House.

As you may already know, Serena is married to Alexis Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit.

You would think that as one of the creators of the internet’s most popular anonymous sh-t talking dens, Ohanian would be beloved by anonymous sh-t talkers.

But apparently that’s not the case.

In fact, it seems many of the people who commented believe Serena and Alexis should never have married or reproduced because–long, pained sigh–she’s black and he’s white.

“Serena is a disgrace to her parents, grandparents, African ancestors because she married and mated with a European knowing that his ancestors owned Africans as SLAVES,” wrote one commenter who’s probably a lot of fun at parties.

A good rule of thumb is that no one who uses the word “mated” in casual conversation is even remotely sane.

As usual, there were also people who talked disparagingly about Serena’s appearance and even–anguished, audible groan–the appearance of her baby.

But we’re not going to reproduce those comments here.

In fact, we’re leaving all that negativity and BS in 2017, folks!

It’s all positive vibes and hydration and whatnot from here on out!

Now if you’ll excuse us, we have Real Housewives to make fun of.

Damn, we’re messing this up already, aren’t we?

Jenelle Evans: Bashed for Teen Mom 2 Reunion Meltdown!

Jenelle Evans made herself look pretty darn bad at the taping of the Teen Mom 2 reunion special last weekend.

At this point, we"re starting to wonder if she has any real idea about how to make herself look good.

Girl has always been a train wreck, but she got trashy last weekend in a way that she hadn"t for a very long time.

By all accounts (except her own), she lost it when she saw her mother hugging Nathan Griffith"s new girlfriend, Ashley Landhardt, and things went downhill from there.

She yelled at both Nathan and Ashley, then she yelled at her mother, and worst of all, this all happened in front of the children in the cast.

So really, it"s no wonder that pretty much everyone on the show is bashing her right now.

Check out all the many, many ways her fellow Teen Mom stars are throwing shade her way below …

1. The Victim Herself

Jenelles selfie

How could you be mad at a face like this?! Well, let literally all of her co-workers explain it to you …

2. The A Team

The a team

Even before Jenelle had her meltdown, the cast had split into cliques. Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry stuck together …

3. The B Team

Jenelle evans and briana dejesus

… While Jenelle got friendly with the new girl, Briana DeJesus. Briana actually referred to Jenelle as “the only person who kept it real” at the reunion.

4. Oh, The Shade of It All!

Oh the shade of it all

Chelsea shared this picture with her girls, and she added the caption “Filming reunions be like ….” Get it, because Jenelle and David ruined everything?

5. Leave Me Alone!

Kailyn lowry in a jean jacket

In a tweet from Jenelle’s rep (or Jenelle herself — most people think she runs her own PR account), Kailyn, Chelsea, Leah, Nathan, Nathan’s girlfriend, and Cole DeBoer were all accused of leaking information about Jenelle’s drama to tabloids. Kailyn wasn’t having it though, responding to the accusation with “I wasn’t even there… why am I being brought into it?”

6. Not Having It

Chelsea houska sells sunglasses

Chelsea also addressed the rumor that she and Cole sold Jenelle’s story to the tabloids. She said that the thought of Cole reaching out to a tabloid makes her “giggle,” because seriously, who could even imagine that? She also referred to the entire weekend as a “sh-tshow.” Sounds appropriate.

Farrah Abraham: Bashed AGAIN by Teen Mom OG Costars!

Farrah Abraham is the absolute worst, as evidenced by every single thing she’s ever done since becoming pregnant at the tender age of 16.

She’s terrible — you know it, we know it, and her fellow Teen Mom stars certainly know it.

For years now, Farrah has had issues with Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and Maci Bookout.

The feud reached a boiling point in 2015 when the show was revived: originally Farrah wasn’t going to be part of it, and when producers brought her back, Maci threatened to quit filming altogether.

Farrah, though she’d never say as much, seemed to be really offended by the idea that she was (and is) so horrible that Maci would leave the show, and since then, she’s been at odds with the other girls.

And it certainly didn’t help anything when she and Amber got into a physical fight at the Teen Mom reunion show last year.

So now we’re in this pattern where someone says something harsh but true about Farrah, then Farrah responds by either pretending she’s above it all, or by getting even dirtier.

And that’s how we have this brand new interview with Amber, Catelynn, and Maci — all about you-know-who.

When the ladies were asked about Farrah, Catelynn brilliantly responded with “Farrah who? Farrah Fawcett?”

“She’s dead. Rest in peace. She was beautiful. Farrah Fawcett is dead. I love Amber and Maci, but poor Farrah Fawcett. Rest in peace.”

Oh, the shade of it all!

Amber kept it real, as always, saying “Me, Maci and Catelynn have always been good. Farrah, she’s just Farrah.”

“It’s kind of like a non-issue, non-thing anymore.”

Maci agreed, adding “It’s kind of one of those things like out of sight, out of mind.”

But Maci — sweet, kind Maci — also said “I want the best for her and I think she does bring something to the show.”

(Hint: it’s ratings. Everyone loves a good trainwreck, and there’s no trainwreck quite like Farrah.)

“Not everyone is going to relate to me or Catelynn,” she continued. “The more different stories that can come together, the more relatable we’re going to be to everyone.”

“I just don’t really have a relationship with her.”

Fair enough, right?

Not for Farrah.

After hearing about this interview, Farrah made a new statement, explaining “I live my life separately and I think that’s the best way.”

“Like I’ve said, I think we all need to create our own positive, healthy, happy environment in which they don’t fit in. So again, I want no part of their rounds and rounds of immaturity.”

If she sounds testy, that’s because she gave a similar statement earlier this week after Amber and Catelynn theorized that she “needs help, like severe counseling.”

After that interview, Farrah said “I will not be including myself in discussions about what they say or have that circle of never-ending immaturity and unprofessionalism.”

“It’s unfortunate that I have other cast members who are hateful towards women, and I just don’t want to belong or associate with that.”

Oh, Farrah. Simple, ignorant, unbelievably terrible Farrah.

Julie Bowen BASHED for Barron Trump Inauguration Jokes: What Did She Say?

Most of Hollywood is very unhappy that Donald Trump is now President of the United States.

It’s true. See what a significant number of celebrities had to say about Trump being sworn in to office on Friday NOW.

But Julie Bowen is under particular fire from the social media community for the way in which she went about making her anti-Trump feelings known.

The Modern Family actress live-blogged the inauguration, focusing a great deal of her commentary on Barron Trump, the 10-year old son of Donald and Melania.

She didn’t insult the child or anything. Not really.

But many followers still thought Bowen was out of bounds in even bringing Barron into the picture.

“I think Barron is on his Gameboy. Can’t say I can blame him,” Bowen wrote as a caption to the following image.

She sort of invited confused criticism with this quip.

Wrote one critic quickly after the photo went live: “Gameboy…..is he at the 1988 inauguration?”

And this was one of the more tame responses Bowen received for her posts.

“Barron, a voting majority shares your horror. #barronforpresident,” Bowen captioned the next picture, implying that Barron was disgusted his father is now Commander-in-Chief.

“He is a 10-year old boy. Lay off him,” shot back a commenter, while another added:

“What is your problem? Are you an adult? You should feel ashamed bashing a child! Would you like it if someone was talking shit about your boys? Grow up!!”

From there, Bowen continued to hint that Barron is ashamed of his dad.

“When your dad is boppin’ his head to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. #dadshame #barronforpresident,” she wrote.

Cue the backlash!

“Eww don’t make fun of a child! You’re no better than him for doing this,” penned a follower.

Another expounded on the critiques offered above, penning a pretty long reply to Bowen that reads:

“It takes a big woman to make a fun of a child. If you don’t support Trump, why post anything at all, especially, his innocent child. I guess that makes you feel good about yourself. I wonder how you would feel if someone starting putting your kids out there and make fun of them???

“I’m done with you, UNFOLLOW and not watching anymore. You shame me coming from Maryland.”

Lastly, Bowen shared the snapshot below and wrote: “Hey @CNN! Don’t box the Barron!”

We’ll just rundown a handful of the more pointed comments left on Bowen’s page in response to this line of joking and insulting:

And done with self-centered celebrities that think it’s okay to have the “wit” to make fun of a 10 year old.

I will officially stop watching your show. No matter who you voted for it is what it is and time to quit bitching and come together as a country for the greater good. But to call out a ten year old boy on social media is a new low.

I cant believe @itsjuliebowen posted this! disgraceful!!!! You just lost a fan. Go back living in the world of Hollywood… Unbelievable!

Karmas a BITCH just like you. Mocking a child, you’re PATHETIC.

You are hateful Julie. All of my friends have unfollowed you today. As a mother, how cruel of you to pick apart a 10 year old child.

Was Bowen really slamming Barron at all with any of these comments?

Does it matter? Should she refrained from mentioning him at all, given his age?

“I love that Barron is a kid being a kid,” she wrote in her defense after the criticism continued last night.

“My kids would be a horror show at a public event! Just trying to keep it light.”

Catelynn Lowell Bashed for Sharing Nude Video of Daughter!

Is it just us, or is it a real bad time to be Catelynn Lowell right now?

It just seems like every last little thing about her life is going to hell. Like, yeah, she’s got Teen Mom money, but at what cost?

Her marriage, despite what she claims, really doesn’t seem to be going all that great, what with her husband, Tyler Baltierra, constantly making rude, thoughtless remarks about her weight and her mental illness.

And that mental illness is another thing that Catelynn’s struggling with — her depression and anxiety was bad enough to send her to rehab earlier this year, and it looks like things aren’t much better, even now that she’s out of treatment.

She’s also back to smoking weed after claiming that she wanted to stop.

Yep, things aren’t exactly looking up for our girl here, and now, things have gotten even worse.

And that’s because she has just found herself right smack in the middle of a great big ol’ scandal.

Catelynn — brace yourself, because this is surprisingly awful and stupid — had the bad judgment to post a naked video of her toddler on Snapchat.

The video showed one-year-old Nova in the shower, and Catelynn made no efforts to cover the kid up or censor any private areas.

For shame.

Obviously Catelynn didn’t have any bad intentions in sharing the video, but it’s beyond ignorant to think that no one else has any bad intentions, and it’s just unnecessary to show off your child like this.

And you know the Internet agreed.

Outraged fans contacted Catelynn via Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and a few probably sent some carrier pigeons her way, too. That’s how pissed people were.

“Everyone is looking out for Nova and her safety!!!” one concerned person wrote. “Please delete the snap, yes those videos are cute but for parents’ eyes only! Not in 2016 for the world to see. Not ever on social media! Please delete it.”

“Nova’s not a baby this is not cute it’s child porn,” another eloquent soul stated.

It looks like after several hours of near-constant criticism, Catelynn finally took the video down, but not before getting sassy about it.

“Wow is all I can say,” she wrote this morning on Twitter.

In a startling display of her complete lack of sense, she added that the people upset over the video were “retarded.”

“Sorry I used the R word,” she later apologized. “And if I offended anyone never once did I mean that. I am truly sorry I also have family that has special needs.”

Oh, Catelynn, baby, shhh.

Someone told her to “keep it classy” and tacked on a few of the crying and laughing emojis, and Catelynn responded “that’s right!!”, showing that a failure to recognize sarcasm is among her shortcomings.

About the scandalous Snapchat video, she simply tweeted that she “thought it was cute.”

Cute? Sure. Appropriate for thousands upon thousands of strangers? No.

Just think about things sometimes, Catelynn. It’s not that hard. You can do it.
