Maci Bookout Naked and Afraid Preview: Watch The Teen Mom OG Star Battle the Elements!

Several months ago, Teen Mom OG viewers started getting excited about reports that Maci Bookout shot an episode Naked and Afraid.

But until Sunday night, we knew very little about Maci"s experience on the show.

Now, information is beginning to trickle in, and fans are more hyped than ever.

We still don"t where in the world Maci will be battling the elements, but we do know who she"s partnered up with and — most importantly — when her episode will air.

1. No Half Measures

As we learned on the preview that aired during Sunday night’s Naked and Afraid: XL, Maci won’t be coddled just because of her celebity status. She totally stripped down, just like the show’s previous contestants.

2. Total Badass

In Maci’s introductory clip, the mother of three describes herself as a badass. As Teen Mom OG fans know, it’s a title she earned well before she embarked on her latest wilderness adventure.

Last week, Maci took to Instagram to give fans their first glimpse of her episode.

Maci Bookout Is Nude, Terrified in Naked and Afraid Preview!

Back in March, Maci Bookout revealed to fans that she’ll appear on an upcoming episode of reality TV’s most brutal series, Naked and Afraid.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, the title pretty much says it all.

Two strangers are dropped in the center of a foreign wilderness without a stitch of clothing, and they spend the next three weeks (or however long they last) petrified of the many forces in their immediate environment that could very easily kill them.

Usually, it’s starvation or exposure that sends the contestants home early, but it could just as easily be a bite from a venomous snake or a run in with some irate fire ants.

It’s one of those shows that makes sane viewers would put themselves through such torment, especially since there’s no cash prize for those who endure the full 21 days.

But there are some folks, like Maci, who watch nude survivalists putting their lives on the line for bragging rights and think, that looks like fun!

Bookout took to Instagram this week to share a first look at her upcoming episode:

“Watch the sneak peek inside the new episode of Naked and Afraid XL: All Stars this Sunday night at 10pm on @discoverychannel @nakedandafraidtv”

The pic was also shared on the official Naked and Afraid Instagram page, along with a caption reading:

“THIS SUNDAY get a super secret peek at our teen mom survivalist during Naked and Afraid XL: All Stars this Sunday night at 10pm.”

Yes, apparently surviving a relationship with Ryan Edwards wasn’t enough of a challenge for Maci.

You have to tip your hat to a woman who has endured the company of Farrah Abraham on more than one occasion and still wants to test herself even more.

No word yet on where Maci was shipped off to or how long she lasted on the show, but we can bet she was pushed to the limit.

Fortunately, Maci was in good hands.

Her companion on the show is Justin Tuell, a 31-year-old ICU with a background in wilderness survival.

Details about the episode’s air date will be revealed on Sunday.

Maci Bookout Scores MAJOR Legal Victory Over Ryan Edwards!

If you"re a Teen Mom OG fan, then by now, you"re probably aware that Ryan Edwards has spent the past few months royally effing up just about every aspect of his life.

Ryan has gotten arrested; he"s fallen off the wagon; he"s cheated on his wife; and he"s gone to great lengths to alienate those closest to him.

But for all of his repugnant behavior, perhaps nothing is more appalling than the news that Ryan threatened the life of Maci Bookout"s husband, Taylor McKinney.

Now, it looks as though Ryan will pay for that crime dearly, as Maci has taken steps to protect her family by separating Ryan from that which matters most to him.

Here"s what we know so far…

1. Downfall

Ryan’s latest round of troubles began back in March, when he was arrested for a probation violation stemming from a 2017 arrest for heroin possession.

2. The Truth Comes Out

In the weeks that followed the arrest, a number of surprising revelations about Edwards emerged, and fans realzed the narrative about his redemption and recovery from addiction was fraudulent.

3. A Shameful Secret

For starters, it was revealed that Ryan had been using a misleading dating profile to try and cheat on his pregnant wife, Mackenzie Standifer.

4. One Loyal Wife

Remarkably, Mackenzie has stood by Ryan regardless, even helping him in his efforts to keep his original possession arrest a secret. But there were some things the couple wasn’t able to conceal …

5. His Lowest Point

Amid the deluge of shocking revelations about Ryan, fans learned that he had issued a threat to Maci Bookout’s husband, Taylor McKinney.

6. Taking Action

Alleging that Ryan had threatened to shoot Taylor in the head, Maci and Taylor filed for orders of protection for themselves and their children, includng 9-year-old Bentley, Maci’s son with Ryan.

Maci Bookout: Pregnant With FOURTH Child?!

With all the drama surrounding her Teen Mom OG castmates, it"s easy for Maci Bookout"s more quiet and stable existence to get overlooked.

Most of the tabloid headlines surrounding Maci these days have to do with her ex, Ryan Edwards, and his battle with addiction.

And that"s probably just fine by Ms. Bookout-McKinney, who"s clearly found happiness in the quiet, domestic life.

But just because her indulgences are limited to the occasional Bud Light and her evenings are filled with baths and bedtime stories, that doesn"t mean Maci"s life is uneventful.

In fact, her social media are now convinced that the TMOG fan favorite has a major announcement on the horizon …

1. Mother Maci

Maci has two kids by husband Taylor McKinney and one from her previous relationship with Ryan Edwards. But it seems she has no intention of stopping there.

2. Plans to Expand

Maci has stated in the past that she’s not done having children, and the most recent season of Teen Mom OG saw her discussing the matter of a fourth child with Taylor.

3. A Difficult Conversation

In fact, the discussion between Maci and Taylor made for one of the season’s most poignant scenes, as it featured a surprising revelation from Maci.

4. A Painful Memory

During the conversation, Maci reminded Taylor (who had apparently forgotten?) that she recently suffered a miscarriage.

5. Perseverance

Maci made it clear that she didn’t intend to let the trauma of her miscarriage prevent her from trying again. And now, fans think she and Taylor are well on their way to becoming a family of six.

6. Maci’s Day Out

Maci Bookout celebrated Mother’s Day by taking her Jeep – and her family – into the mountains. Some fans think Bookout inadvertently showed off a baby bump in the video she posted online.

Maci Bookout: YES, Ryan Edwards Is Still On Drugs!

Not surprisingly, last night"s Teen Mom OG reunion focused largely on Ryan Edwards" struggles with addiction.

If you watched the show this season, you know that Maci Bookout wanted Ryan to take a drug test before she would allow him to spend time alone with their son, Bentley.

And if you"re up on the latest reports about Ryan, you know that her fears were completely justified.

Last month, Ryan was arrested for a probation violation stemming charges of possession of heroin.

As we learned last night, Maci"s not saying "I told you so," but she"s also not backing down from her assertion that Edwards is not fit to be a dad…

1. Facing the Music

The reunion was taped before many of the latest revelations about Ryan came to light. Still, it wasn’t an easy night for Maci’s baby daddy or for his long-suffering wife, Mackenzie Standifer.

2. What Maci Knew

Even before Ryan’s latest arrest, Bookout maintained that he was back on drugs. She insisted that he submit to testing as part of their custody agreement, but Edwards refused.

3. Where There’s Smoke

When Edwards refused to be tested. Maci concluded that he was still using. The past few weeks have sadly validated her claims.

4. Some Things Never Change…

On last night’s reunion show, Maci revealed to Dr. Drew Pinsky that she still believes Ryan is in no position to properly care for his son. Ryan basically confirmed as much in his own interview with Pinsky.

5. Reunion Ryan

Ryan spoke about his struggles with substance abuse, and even though he made it sound as though his addictions were well behind him, he also revealed that he’s putting very little effort into maintaining his sobriety.

6. A Troubling Revelation

Along with much of the audience, Pinsky was stunned by the revelation that Ryan has virtually lost contact with his therapist just months after leaving rehab. Dr. Drew was also shocked by the fact that Ryan blames the show for his inability to continue treatment.

Maci Bookout: Ryan Edwards is Still Doing Drugs!

If you"ve been keeping up with the comings and goings of Ryan Edwards, you"d probably have some serious doubts that he"s currently clean and sober.

And that"s for many, many reasons.

Ryan was shooting up heroin, and that"s not exactly known as an easy habit to kick. He did go to rehab, but he left before completing even 30 days.

When he got home, he promptly began drinking, and we"ve seen him with a beer in hand in quite a few Teen Mom scenes since then.

None of that is great, but in the past few weeks, things have seriously begun falling apart for him.

He was arrested late last month for violating the probation he was on for an arrest last April — possession charges — and it was also revealed that he"d been creeping on ladies on Tinder again.

Both of those things are especially bad since right at that same time, the news came out that Mackenzie Standifer is pregnant with their first child together.

What else … oh, Maci Bookout and her family filed orders of protection against him because he"d been threatening to kidnap Bentley, and also because he threatened to murder Maci"s husband.

So yeah, you may have had an inkling that Ryan isn"t exactly drug-free these days.

But in this sneak peek for the season finale of Teen Mom OG, Maci is confirming it.

In the clip, Maci and her mom sit down for a nice little lunch together, and she breaks the news that Ryan is going to be a father again.

"Uh, I"m sorry, what?" Mama Bookout says in response, which is pretty much what we all said when we heard the news, too.

She also says that she "thought Ryan wasn"t about that life right now," which is still true.

Mackenzie is pregnant, but Ryan told her to call him when the is about three, so it feels safe to say that he"s still not about that life.

Maci shrugs and says that she has no clue, and her mom tries to look on the bright side by speculating that maybe having a baby "is what Ryan needs."

Bless her heart.

"Maybe, maybe not," Maci replies. "I feel like if this don"t do the trick then absolutely nothing will."

"He"s 30," her mother tells her. "Ryan"s going to do what Ryan wants to do. Babies and wives and baby mamas and stuff aren"t gonna do it for him."

She then asks if he"s passed the drug test to see Bentley yet, and Maci says that he hasn"t, which they agree is a good sign that he"s not clean.

"My people know people," Maci says. "I mean, he"s not clean. He"s not. Like that"s just it, he"s not."

The people she"s talking about are probably the same people that told her last year that his drug problem had escalated, and we all saw proof of that on the show, so it"s likely good information.

And the proof for that is what"s been happening for the past few weeks.

Maybe having a baby will help Ryan straighten up, but he wasn"t doing heroin when Maci had Bentley, and he was a deadbeat then, so we can"t imagine heroin would make it easier.

Jenelle Evans Slams Maci Bookout Over Gun Control: I"m Blocking You!

It’s been nearly two months since David Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2, and Jenelle Evans still seems hell-bent on following in her husband’s footsteps.

Rather than just keeping her love for firearms on the down-low for a little while (which you’d think would be easy, as she showed zero interest in guns prior to marrying Eason), Evans is going all-in.

First she publicly announced that she had joined the NRA, apparently for the express purpose of pissing off her critics.

Shortly thereafter, she upped the ante by becoming the latest public figure to antagonize the Parkland school shooting survivors for having the gall to not want to get murdered.

Jenelle and David attacked Emma Gonzalez with a pair of bizarre memes that served to both mock the teen activist’s appearance and spread dangerous fals information about her alleged involvement in the shooting.

(Side note: Gonzalez was “involved” in the shooting only as a victim, and if you believe otherwise, please remove yourself from the internet for the good of mankind.)

For obvious reasons, her comments weren’t terribly well-received by fans.

When one fan commented that the post causes Evans to come off as extremely ignorant, Jenelle replied, “It’s called sarcasm.”

The exchange is insteresting not only because it demonstrates that Jenelle literally doesn’t know the meaning of the word scarcasm, but also that it shows how deep in the tank she is with her fellow hard-line gun enthusiasts these days.

Jenelle insists that her intentions were purely comedic, but what seems much more likely given her previous comments on the issue is that her goal was to disparage Gonzalez in a way that would enable her to hide behind the “duh, satire!” defense when criticized.

One person who didn’t fall for the routing was Jenelle’s Teen Mom franchise colleague Maci Bookout.

Maci didn’t respond to Jenelle’s post directly, but did tweet a link to an article about how dumb and dangerous those memes mocking the Parkland teens truly are.

It was a genius, as Jenelle’s facade immediately cracked and she inadvertently that revealed that this not a matter of pure comedy for her, but rather a propaganda campaign that she takes very seriously:

“I’m sorry Maci, I’m blocking you!” Jenelle commented. “This is ridiculous.”

We’d say the score is Maci 1, Jenelle 0, but Evans has been at the bottom of the Teen Mom rankings for so long that everyone stopped keeping tabs.

Maci Bookout: Ryan Edwards Threatened to Kidnap My Son!

Another day, another shocking revelation about Teen Mom OG star Ryan Edwards.

Over the course of the past week, Maci Bookout"s ex has been involved in half a dozen scandals, and fans fear the worst is yet to come.

The problems began when Ryan was arrested for a probation violation stemming from a heroin possession arrest last year.

Every day since, we"ve seen some sort of stunning development in the ongoing saga of Ryan"s downward spiral, and it seems today is no exception.

 

1. Happier Times

Ryan and Maci are parents to 9-year-old Bentley. Though their relationship has often been contentious in recent years, this week, it took a sharp turn for the worse that no one saw coming.

2. Ryan’s Rock Bottom

The latest round of troubles began when Ryan was arrested for a probation violation. The probation stemmed from a 2017 heroin possession arrest that Ryan somehow managed to keep hidden from just about everyone, including Maci.

3. Legal Protection

Shortly thereafter, Maci filed for an order of protection. She requested that the court order Ryan to keep his distance not only from her, but from her entire family, including Ryan’s son, Bentley.

4. Order Granted

According to Radar Online, a judge granted Maci’s order of protection yesterday. Her husband, Taylor McKinney, filed a separate request, and his case has yet to be heard.

5. Bad News For Ryan

The order is now in effect, and will remain so until at least May 21. “The temporary protection order will stay in effect until their court hearing,” said the judge in Maci and Ryan’s case.

6. A New Low

Yes, it seems Ryan has managed to locate yet another rock bottom. And now, we’re getting details about just what he said and did that was so bad the courts decided that he should be forbidden to see his son.

Maci Bookout Files For Restraining Order Against Ryan Edwards!

Earlier this week, we reported that Ryan Edwards had been arrested in Tennessee in connection with a probation violation for an April heroin possession arrest.

While Edwards" struggles with addiction have been well-documented, fans were not previously aware that he had been arrested for possession or that he was on probation.

And it seems this all came as a surprise to Ryan"s baby mama, Maci Bookout, as well.

Now, Maci is taking action to ensure that Ryan won"t be allowed anywhere near her family…

1. Hard Times For Ryan

Ryan was arrested earlier this week in connection with a previous charge that fans weren’t aware of. It was widely assumed that he’d suffered a relapse, but his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, says that that’s not the case, and she insists Edwards was simply taken into custody to be re-booked.

2. More Bad News

But Mackenzie probably won’t be defending Ryan for much longer. Just days after news of his arrest went public, several media outlets reported that Edwards had been caught using the dating app Tinder to seek out potential cheating partners.

3. Grinding It Out

Mackenzie is reportedly planning to remain married to Ryan … for now. But we imagine he’ll have to make some major changes if he’s hoping to keep his pregnant wife by his side.

4. Maci’s Surprise

All of this has reportedly come as a huge shock to Ryan’s first baby mama, Maci Bookout. Bookout reportedly thought she knew all about Ryan’s checkered past and was blown away by the indiscretions he’d managed to keep buried.

5. Change of Plans

Maci and Ryan have been locked in a custody battle over their 9-year-old son Bentley for several months. Maci had previously allowed Ryan to have supervised visits with Bentley, but now it seems those days are done.

6. Not Messing Around

In fact, Maci has taken legal action to ensure that Ryan won’t be allowed anywhere near her or her family for the foreseeable future.

Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout Discuss Miscarriages in Heartbreaking Teen Mom OG Clip

At this point, if you follow Teen Mom gossip even the tiniest little bit, you"re familiar with Catelynn Lowell"s recent mental health woes.

She"s struggled with anxiety for several years, and things got worse when she gave birth to her daughter Nova three years ago.

She had a particularly bad case of postpartum depression that she"s still dealing with, she suffers from panic attacks, and she just revealed that she was also recently diagnosed with PTSD.

Last fall, she and Tyler learned they were expecting another child, but then she had a miscarriage, and it affected both of them deeply.

It was so hard on Catelynn that she began having suicidal thoughts, and so made the decision to check herself into a treatment center to get a handle on things.

She spent several weeks there, and a few weeks after completing her treatment, she went back for another round because she still didn"t feel well.

Right now, she"s been home for nearly a month, and it seems like she"s doing well.

But as always, Teen Mom OG is a bit behind real life, so we"re just now seeing the beginning of Cate"s stay in rehab.

And as we see in this sneak peek for the upcoming episode, she definitely dealt with some rough issues there.

In the clip, Catelynn receives a visit from Tyler, Nova, and Maci Bookout, which is really nice to see — we knew they were close, but not close enough for Maci to fly across the country to see her!

Catelynn gives out some hugs, and then they all sit down for a little chat.

After Cate asks Maci about her flight and remarks about Taylor staying home with all three kids, Maci asks her what she"s been doing during her treatment.

"Tons of therapy," she answers, "and group therapy, trauma classes. It"s been really good though, honestly."

We can believe her — it does look like she"s feeling better already.

"So what was going on?" Maci asks next. "Anything happen, just life?"

"Well, no, really," Catelynn tells her. "Me and Tyler actually got pregnant and I had a miscarriage."

Here"s where it gets extra rough, because as we learned earlier in the season, Maci and Taylor had a miscarriage recently as well.

She tells Catelynn that, and it"s really just a very sad moment.

Cate tells her that she"s sorry, and Maci says that they haven"t told anyone about it yet.

"I think it"s another one of those things that makes it … it doesn"t make the pain easier, it just makes the experience easier, to talk about it," Maci says.

"It doesn"t help anybody to pretend that it didn"t happen, or that that baby didn"t exist."

Tyler, who"s been looking so sad during the entire conversation, adds "it may not have been a fully developed baby in the womb, but it was in our hearts."
