Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Prefer It Behind Closed Doors!
Everybody’s so hyped at the idea of another huge royal wedding that it’s so easy to forget to let Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just, you know, be a couple.
There’s been zero shortage of royal engagement rumors, but these two are still, officially, just dating.
And on those dates, according to reports, they like to stay behind closed doors. But, you wonder, what are they doing with all of that private time?
Apparently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stay indoors when visiting, no matter where in the world they happen to be.
Honestly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not wanting to leave the comforts of home might be the biggest “the stars, they’re just like us!” thing that we’ve ever read.
What’s not to love?
At home, everything’s perfectly tailored for you — because you live there.
The furniture is comfy and you can lounge on it.
You have everything that you need without going anywhere.
Also, at home, you don’t have to wear pants.
In their case, there’s more reason to stay at home than just the usual comforts.
According to E!‘s source, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been “total homebodies” during their visits with each other, whether they’re in Kensington or Toronto.
“They’ve just been chilling at home. There’s always someone watching or trying to get pics when they go out that they’re pretty happy just staying in and doing nothing.”
That makes a lot of sense.
As for what sorts of activities the two get up to?
“They like to cook, watch movies, and that kind of thing.”
Well, we’re sure that those are included.
As well as some standard relationship activities that the source was too polite to mention.
They may have left out other specifics — you might play Overwatch with the two of them on your team and never, ever know it.
Apparently, on a previous visit in Kensington, Meghan and Harry watched Moana together.
A lot of people saw that (wonderful!) film in theaters, but we can see how that would be a problem, given their status.
Yeah, “Paparazzi” may have been one of Lady Gaga’s earliest (and overall best) hits, but few people would actually want to be filmed constantly on their social outings.
Imagine trying to go to trivia night at a local brewery or go see Wonder Woman again (or fill in your own activities from the past few days instead).
Now imagine that, even if the employees and fellow patrons are totally normal around you …
(Which is a stretch, in the case of Prince Harry)
… there are cameras pointed at you as you enter and exit and, if there are any windows or doorways, people are snapping photos of you all the while.
Prince Harry is, well, Prince Harry.
He’s been used to this kind of thing for his literal entire life.
Meghan Markle is an actress, but she’s not, like, peak Jennifer Aniston or whatever.
She’s on Suits, which means that, pre-Harry, if she had a nip slip or committed vehicular manslaughter, she’d make the news, but otherwise probably not.
That has obviously changed.
And even if Meghan Markle were, like, the Grand Magistrix of Iceland or some other kind of royalty and totally used to this as Harry must be … they’d still probably want to stay indoors.
(Not just for sexy reasons)
Unless you’re both really, really into exhibitionism, nobody’s going to enjoy going on a regular date that consists of being followed and photographed.
Save all of that for the red carpet events, right?
As eager as we all are to see where this relationship goes, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were only officially confirmed as being in a relationship last November.
We should probably give them time.
There’s always a chance that regular relationship problems will arise and that the two will part ways.
It’s also possible that not-so-regular relationship problems will arise.
Prince Harry famously admitted that nobody wants to be royal, which was all kinds of controversial.
Would he and Meghan really be willing to condemn their potential children to that kind of life?
Or are the unnamed reforms in Prince Harry’s efforts to modernize the monarchy all intended so that, when he has children, they’ll have better lives?

Prince William: Is He a Jerk Behind Closed Doors?
When Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011, the whole world tuned in for what was almost literally a fairy tale wedding.
Of course, fairy tales usually come to a close after the princess lands her prince (Hey, it’s not our fault they’re so behind the times), and we all know happily ever afters are rare in the real world.
So while the stories we all grew up with depicted royal marriages as the ultimate source of bliss, everything from the Charles and Diana nightmare to the stories about the contentious early years of Queen Elizabeth II’s marriage has shown us that
Yes, he pressures of royalty seem to have a damaging effect on marriages, but there was a time when William and Kate were regarded as the exception to that rule.
Now it seems they’re falling into the same traps that ensnared William’s forefathers.
Last week, there rumors that Kate was (pardon the pun) royally pissed at William for the mini-scandal that followed his recent ski trip to Switzerland.
You see, Will wasn’t just hitting the slopes with his buddies.
He was day-drinking, “dad dancing,” and getting a bit too close with some women who were decidedly not his wife.
Now, it seems it’s not just Kate who’s feeling fed up with Will’s hard-partying, work-averse ways.
In a new piece for the Daily Mail, columnist Robert Jobson offers a frank assessment of Will’s royal career up to this point.
And it would be a massive understatement to say Jobson is less than thrilled by what he sees:
“The sugar-coated image he enjoyed for so long was almost too good to be true. For scratch the surface of William and what you find is a complex character,” he writes.
“There is an ‘over-confidence’ which some say is bordering on arrogance, and which senior Palace aides now fear is clouding the 34-year-old’s judgment.”
We’ve known for some time now that the public is turning on William and Kate, but Jobson says it’s not just those of us outside the palace walls who are getting tired of Will wearing his sense of entitlement like a badge of honor:
“He can be ‘petulant, capricious, even hostile’, I am told – words you might not readily associate with the second in line to the throne,” Jobson writes.
He goes on to say that Prince Charles has given up on trying to influence the behavior of his “headstrong” eldest son, and William has chosen to surround himself with sycophantic yes men.
Jobson says the added attention Will has received since marrying Kate has gone to his head, and the 34-year-old accepts criticism from no one.
“The Duke of Cambridge has some very good, innovative ideas. But the Duke can be a little unforgiving,” one royal insider tells Jobson.
“When he gets it right everyone is patting him on the back, but who is there to criticise him and warn against getting it wrong?”
It could be a dangerous scenario, as these days, it sounds like Will is “getting it wrong” more than ever.

Matt Roberts Dies; 3 Doors Down Guitarist Was 38
Matt Roberts, former guitarist for the popular rock band 3 Doors Down, has passed away at the age of 38.
Matt’s father, Darrell Roberts, broke the news online just moments ago.
Matt left the band in 2012 due to health issues, but continued to tour with other groups and as a solo artist.
Darrell Roberts tells TMZ that his son Darrell was scheduled to perform in Wisconsin today and rehearsed with other musicians until late last night.
Father and son returned to their hotel, where Darrell says he was woken around 9 am by detectives who informed him that Matt had passed away.
Prescription painkillers were found on the scene.
Darrell says that both he and the authorities believe Matt’s apparent overdose was accidental.
Roberts was with 3 Doors Down when the band rose to international fame with their 2000 hit “Kryptonite.”
He stuck with the group for their subsequent best-selling singles “When I’m Gone” and “Here Without You.”
Darrell Roberts says his son’s fan base remained devoted even after he was forced to leave the band.
He adds that Matt was “deeply beloved” by family and friends and described the loss as “devastating.”
Tributes from fans and colleagues began pouring in on social media just minutes after news of Matt’s death was made public.
