Jennifer Lamb: Will Sugar Bear"s Wife Start Her Own Weight Loss Journey?

Recently on From Not To Hot, it’s looked like June Shannon and Geno Doak might get married. June’s ex has already gotten married — to Jennifer Lamb.

The series started with June’s transformation, but now it looks like Jennifer’s about to embark on her own weight loss journey.

There’s just one potential obstacle: Sugar Bear.

In a recent From Not To Hot preview, Sugar Bear and Jennifer Lamb embarked on a “romantic” fishing trip.

During the downhill walk, Jennifer did not seem to be having a good time.

“Walking to the docks really made my chest hurt,” she later admits to the camera. “It was hard to breathe.”

Those are signs of what may be serious health problems.

(Being winded while walking uphill, which is not uncommon, is very different from experiencing genuine chest pains while traveling downhill)

Jennifer confesses: “I really don’t think I could go on like this.”

While there are perfectly healthy people with large bodies and some very unhealthy people who are slender, Jennifer fears that her size is the culprit.

“At this weight, I’m risking my health and my life.”

And she is thinking about doing something about it.

But she is hesitant to undergo weight loss surgery.

Jennifer explains: “It scares me because … I have a lot to lose.”

She’s not making a joke about how many pounds she needs to shed. She’s talking about her love life.

“Mike likes bigger women,” Jennifer explains. “He might not like me if I lose all this weight.”

For Jennifer, her life right now is about finding a balance.

“I wanna get healthy,” she says. “But I don’t want to lose my husband.”

She even reveals that she is unsure of how to even broach the subject with Sugar Bear.

She tells the cameras: “I wish I could go ahead and tell Mike, but I’m really not ready for his reaction.”

The hints that Jennifer may embark on a weight loss journey have been ongoing.

Remember back when Jennifer went to the doctor?

She complained of “chest pains, being dizzy, and just not feeling right.”

She was shocked to learn, as she stepped onto the scale, that she weighed 431 pounds.

(Obviously, different people carry weight differently, but 431 is a lot of pounds for a human body to bear)

“Oh my God, I know that I’ve gained some weight,” she said, still in shock. “But c’mon — that’s a lot of weight.”

At the time, she was fairly adamant about resisting the idea of a total body makeover.

“I don’t believe in having surgery like June did just to lose weight,” she said. “I’ve always said big is beautiful and I will always stand by that.”

She’s expressing second thoughts, now, perhaps because she has realized that this is less about size and more about her health.

“I don’t want to look like June,” she says adamantly. “I never would want to look like June, but if I keep doing what I’m doing now, I’m not guaranteed the next five years.”

“Living with the weight on me could do more damage than having surgery,” she admits.

Surgery has risks, but the risks of allowing her health to continue to decline may be even more severe.

But Jennifer was then and is in more recent clips afraid of losing Sugar Bear’s affections.

“He loves me the way I am,” she says. “So that’s sort of what scares me too.”

We would hope that he loves her for who she is, and not for her body shape.

“One thing I know,” Jennifer insists. “Mike don’t have nothing to do with no one that looks like June.”

Not all weight loss has the same goal, Jennifer. And that’s okay.

“My joints, my knees, my hip,” Jennifer complained. “There’s days I can’t even function because they hurt so bad. I’m having chest pains, where you get out and you start walking and you can’t breathe. At 44 I shouldn’t be doing that.”

That’s not ideal at any age.

Perhaps, in the coming weeks, we’ll learn that Jennifer has taken this major step for her health and her future.

Audrey Roloff Chronicles Emotional Breastfeeding Journey

When it comes to motherhood, Audrey Roloff is doing her best to keep it real.

Yes, the Little People, Big World star is beyond grateful and happy to have given birth to her first child on September 10.

But, no, the experience so far has not been easy.

Roloff has been an open book when it comes to this unfortunate fact, admitting weeks ago that she was even suffering from bouts of postpartum depression.

This was largely linked to a diagnosis of mastitis, which is a condition that makes breastfeeding painful.

Like, VERY painful.

Like, so painful that Audrey compared it to natural childbirth.

How is she doing these days when it comes to providing sustenance for her daughter?

Audrey just updated fans with an emotional Instagram post.

“I always thought breastfeeding was a choice,” it begins.

“People would often ask me if l was going to breastfeed when I was pregnant and l always answered with a determined yes.

“But after Ember was born, l realized that for some people, it’s not a choice.”

For some people, the reality star realized, it’s too painful to continue doing.

“My breastfeeding journey has not been easy,” she added.

“After sharing with you all a little bit about the struggles l have had feeding Ember, l realized that so many of you have gone through, or are currently going through, similar pains, heart aches, and challenges.”

Audrey drew strength from her faith and from a supportive husband during her lowest times.

She went into detail about those times in this post:

About 24 hours after Ember was born, l became severely engorged. The nurses at the hospital admitted to it being the worse case they’d ever seen.

l couldn’t put my arms at my sides or hold Ember – except to feed, and feeding was so painful because l was also badly blistered/bruised (we later found out Ember had a significant lip and tounge tie).

Not to mention, what they had to do to “get me flowing” was excruciating. l thought the pain was supposed to be over once they laid her on my chest?

But people just don’t talk enough about the after labor pains…

It’s true.

People often assume that once a baby is born, the rest is a piece of cake.

Physically, at least.

“Three days after coming home from the hospital, l came down with mastitis,” Audrey explains.

“The antibiotics for my infection, stress, Ember’s lip and tounge tie, sleep deprivation, and some misguided medical advice caused my milk supply to completely tank.

“l was devastated and even told by a pediatrician and lactation consultant that l would probably not ever be able to exclusively breastfeed Ember.

“She was having trouble gaining weight and they were concerned. They also thought l had insiffienct granular tissue.”

Over the past few weeks, though, as evidenced by an influx of Ember Jean photos, it’s clear that things have taken a positive turn.

Mom, Dad and Daughter have figured things out and are doing a lot better.

Ending her Instagram note on a positive message, Audrey wrote of the first photo shared above:

“Here we are two months later and Ember has been exclusively breastfeed for the past 5 weeks!!! So much hard work and prayers have come to fruition.”

This is great news!

We’re so happy to hear it!

Concludes the star:

“Two days ago l came down with mastitis again… but l was reminded that even though this journey still poses its challenges, being able to feed my daughter from my own body brings me incomparable joy.

“l will defintely be sharing more about this journey on my blog eventually.

“But l just wanted to share this here and now in case there are other new mamas out there that could be encouraged and filled with hope by my testimony.”

We very much appreciate Audrey sharing her story with us.

We continue to wish her luck and we continue to appreciate all the pictures she posts.

Ember is adorable!

Troian Bellisario Opens Up About Mental Illness: It Was a Difficult Journey!

Troian Bellisario is one of the most influential actresses around, and she has not been shy about her experiences with mental illness.

The 31-year-old Pretty Little Liars graduate opened up about her experiences to Lenny Letter. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s a newsletter run by Lena Dunham and Jennifer Konner.

The actress opens by recalling a time in her life when she was swimming in a lake with a close friend. The lake was cold, and the star commented that she felt discomfort, yet could not remove herself from the water.

It’s a worrying visual to imagine, but that was a sign that the actress was suffering from mental health.

She opens up candidly about her body telling her to get out of the lake, but she did not want to show weakness in front of the friend.

“Here I am, 31 years old,” the actress wrote.

“And I’m still denying my body the one thing it is asking me to do: take care of it.”

What we love about Troian is that she is an inspiration. She does not hide anything from fans and opens up whenever she’s given the opportunity.

She moved on to chat about a difficult time filming Pretty Little Liars when she was faced with harsh Canadian weather.

“I looked around: Lucy [Hale], Ashley [Benson] and Shay [Mitchell] all seemed cold but fine; they looked professional, powerful,” Bellisario wrote.

“Was I not cut out for this? I pushed that thought out of my mind. Suck it up, Bellisario, do your job.”

Bellisario then opened up about her experience writing, producing and starring in her film Feed. She wanted to create a project out of her struggles; one that would hopefully help other people.

She even goes as far as saying that the movie helped her differentiate herself from her mental illness,

“It was a difficult journey finding my way back to health,” the actress wrote.

“Through hard introspection, intense medical and mental care, a supportive family, friends and patient and loving partner, I survived, which is rare.”

The actress opened up last month to Interview Magazine about her struggles with an eating disorder.

“I couldn’t get anyone — even the people who loved me the most, even my boyfriend or my mother or my father — to understand what that experience was truly like for me,” she said at the time.

Troian has been keeping busy since her seven-year-stint on Pretty Little Liars came to a close, and has booked a role on Richard Linklater’s latest project, Where’d You Go, Bernadette.

June Shannon: Where is She on Her Weight Loss Journey?

Yes, that really is a photo of June Shannon down below.

You’d be forgiven if you did a quadruple take upon looking at it, however, considering the formerly obese reality star has gone on a diet, gone under the knife and lost about 300 pounds as a result.

Yes: 300 pounds!

The mother of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson rose to fame on the WE TV series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but she was mostly seen just sitting around the house and giving her kids a hard time on that program.

Fast forward a few years and Shannon signed on for Mama June: From Not to Hot.

About two months ago, she debuted her new, incredibly svelte figure, blowing away her ex-husband and every single viewer in the process.

“I’m in the 160s. I’m probably four or five pounds off from being there,” Shannon told Entertainment Tonight at the time of how she’s dropped down from a high over well over 400 pounds, adding:

“I’m happy that I went through with it and got what I wanted. I’ve been wanting it a long time.”

Last week, Shannon once again showed off her body while attending the premiere of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.

She’s on her way to that event in the photo above, posing alongside young Alana, who recently said of her foxy mama:

“She looks great. I’m really proud of her.”

Of course, it hasn’t been a breeze for Shannon.

She underwent skin removal surgery this spring and shared a number of horrifying photos from the experience.

Altogether, the gastric sleeve surgery, a breast augmentation and this skin removal procedure – to get rid of her “bat wings” and her “turkey neck” – cost about $ 100,000.

It’s unclear whether Shannon shelled out all this dough or if WE TV covered the costs, but Shannon is thrilled with the results either way.

“I’ve worked my ass off, working out, getting healthy, and now I feel like becoming the person on the outside that I always felt like on the inside,” she tells E! News.

Will Shannon star on another reality show at some point?

Nothing would surprise us at this point.

Appearing as a guest on The Wendy Williams Show a few weeks ago, however, June seemed more focus on her personal life than her professional life.

“I guess I became what you could call a ‘scale whore,’ because I was constantly kind of beating myself up,” she confessed, adding:

“I hate to say it, but Alana kind of started to be like that [too]. So I had to back off the scale, because she’s been kind of looking [at the scale, too.]”

At her heaviest, Shannon weighed 460 pounds.

She says she grew determined to change her life around make a splash at the wedding of her ex-husband, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, to some woman named Jennifer.

She came right out and admitted this on the finale of From Not to Hot.

“My goal when I first started this weight loss journey was to make Sugar Bear kind of jealous,” Shannon told the camera, explaining:

“But it’s no longer about revenge. Doing all the surgeries really took a toll on me – not just physically, but emotionally.”

And yet here she is!

Take a look back at Shannon’s amazing weight loss journey below and go ahead and marvel. This is very impressive:
