April Love Geart Claps Back at Critics of Her Breastfeeding Photo

It seems like just yesterday that April Love Geary first showed off her baby bump. But it was half a year ago, and she and Robin Thicke have welcomed the birth of their baby.

Now, she’s shared a photo of her sweetly nursing baby Mia … only to get blasted for showing the “indecent” image.

But she’s clapping back at her mom-shamers … and she’s pulling out the receipts.

In February, April Love gave birth to Mia Love Thicke, an adorable baby.

Like other babies and also all humans, Mia needs sustenance in order to survive. As is often the case, that comes in the form of breast milk.

So it should be no surprise that April Love breastfeeds her precious baby.

Like a number of celebrities — and even ordinary moms — she is sharing this photo to help normalize breastfeeding, as moms are still shamed for feeding their children.

She shared this photo, taken by her fiance, Robin Thicke.

This is a great photo!

Not only is this picture sweet and entirely non-sexual, but she’s even censored her exposed nipple in order to meet Instagram’s dainty standards.

(As we all know, Instagram has a delicate constitution and simply cannot handle the sight of the forbidden Lady Nipples)

Her caption was short and sweet, as she wrote:

“MOM pic by baby daddy Robin Thicke.”

As you can imagine, though, there was some unfortunate backlash.

A British television personality who starred on Big Brother as a teenager was among April Love’s critics, and posted as much in a series of tweets.

“I’m all for breastfeeding and having a choice how to feed your baby but WHY do people feel the need to post pictures of themselves doing it?!”

To her credit, she went ahead and made it clear that she was talking about April Love.

“Especially the new pic of Robin Thicke’s gf! She’s got hair done, makeup on, both boobs out. So strange. What’s the need??”

Wed’ wager that her hair and makeup are done because she’s, get this, taking a photo.

As for the both boobs out conspiracy, we’re no experts, but it appears to be because she’s not wearing a shirt.

She continues, indicating that she’s not trying to advocate for women hiding themselves when they feed their babies.

“I don’t think it should be done discreetly. I pumped breastmilk publicly ALOT when I had Frankie and Blakely.”

She’s hung up on the photos.

“I just don’t understand the reason behind posting pics. That’s all. Not hating or shaming I just don’t see why.”

People explained to her that the pictures are to help normalzie breastfeeding.

“Breast feeding doesn’t need normalizing. It’s been done (myself included) for YEARS. Why do we need to normalize something that was around before we all were? Lol it’s bizarre that we feel we need to do this”

She’s missing the point — it needs to be normalized because women are still harassed, asked to leave, or even threatened for breastfeeding their babies at some locations.

So celebs share photos to remind everyone that it’s no big deal.

April Love Geary Claps Back

April Love noticed the tweets, of course.

She posted her rebuttal on Instagram — and included some receipts.

“Hey @chanellehayes, maybe the next time you want to criticize me for posting a picture of myself breastfeeding you should really take a look at the pictures you’ve had taken.”

Hayes, of course, has worked as a model in what the British call “Lads” magazines. So, yes, she’s posed topless.

But April Love makes it clear that she’s not trying to shame Hayes. She just wants to point out that her stance doesn’t make sense.

“Not that taking nudes are wrong! The naked body is a beautiful thing! But don’t be a hypocrite mama.”

Honestly? April Love Geary is definitely Robin Thicke’s better half.

Jade Roper Responds to Breastfeeding Photo Backlash

Fun fact: not all Bachelor in Paradise romances lead to disaster. Every now and then, a couple emerges and they stay together. In fact, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert got engaged, got married, and then Jade and Tanner welcomed their first child!

Jade Roper recently shared a precious breastfeeding photo and got slammed for it.

Now that the dust has settled, she’s speaking out.

it started with this photo and the accompanying caption:

“Mommy PSA! Nursing Emmy has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life (I adore these after feeding snuggles, too).”

It’s not just a source of nutrition — it can be an incredible period of bonding.

“It’s so incredible how our bodies transform during and post-pregnancy. But all nursing mommies out there know how difficult finding a good, functional nursing bra can be!”

Well, here comes the product placement.

“@thirdlove has created a comfortable, practical and beautiful nursing bra that FITS! You go on their site and take a quick fit finder quiz and they ship the bras straight to your door.”

But at least she offers a promo code.

“Even better they offer a 100% fit guarantee! They have a wide range of styles and sizes for every woman. (I also got a beautiful lace bra). Use my code JADE15 for 15% off your first order! #mythirdlove”

As precious as the picture, snapped right after she was breastfeeding her adorable baby, was … she got some backlash, and took to her Instagram story to address it.

“So, I had some comments about the picture I posted of me and Emerson after I was breastfeeding and people telling me they don’t look like that when they breastfeed and that I was setting up a standard that’s impossible to live up to.”

She did look super nice in that photo.

“The truth about that picture is I had a photo shoot the day before and I hadn’t taken my makeup off, so that’s literally the day before’s makeup.”

She shouldn’t have to explain why she had the gall to look nice in a photo … but that definitely explains it.

“And it was slightly staged — we positioned Emerson just right to make the picture [work], but that was literally right after I had fed her and she had fallen asleep on me and we do have those moments where we snuggle so I don’t get what’s so unreal about it.”

Any photo that isn’t a candid is slightly staged.

She clarifies that her real life is a good deal messier.

“People were telling me I shouldn’t cover up. I was actually getting flack for putting a cover over my baby which I just don’t understand why that would be something people would give me s–t about.”

You can cover up your boob or you can leave it exposed, folks. That’s your right as a human being. One person’s campaign to go topless should not be read as a mandate for another to cover up.

“And my baby is feeding right now and I’m still going to cover up because that’s what I feel the most comfortable with. I feel like I don’t need to share all of that with the world, that’s not the message. It’s just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies.”

Exactly! She can cover up or not. Again, her choice.

“And my baby is feeding right now and I’m still going to cover up because that’s what I feel the most comfortable with. I feel like I don’t need to share all of that with the world, that’s not the message. It’s just that women should be able to do what they feel like they need to do for their babies.”

It turns out that her reply to the backlash was well-received, because she posted again — with this throwback pic.

“You guuuuys, thank you so much for all the support I’ve received about my Instagram stories earlier. It truly, truly means so much to me and I tried to read every kind and empowering message from each of you.”

“I was very emotional earlier. and I think it’s because my nursing relationship with Emmy is one of my most favorite mommy experiences (even though it’s had its ups and downs, because it’s an ever changing experience).”

“Thank you for letting me be myself and express how much I love being a mom and thank you for letting me express myself when I feel like I’m failing as a mom (or failing others) or I feel unsure of myself.”

She finishes that photo’s caption with:

“All the moms out there that support each other, you’re the best. *This is my favorite post-feeding picture of Emmy and me, I can’t believe she used to be this little."”

It’s a shame that she got backlash for looking her best for a photo. Famous people don’t owe you the nitty gritty messiness of human existence.

It’s also a shame that people give her a hard time for covering up. That is every bit as bad as giving a woman a hard time for not covering up. What’s liberating for one woman can be horrifying for another.

If she had to get criticized for something, you’d think that it would have been for posting what looked like a sponsored post without following FTC guidelines on the #ad hashtag.

Audrey Roloff Chronicles Emotional Breastfeeding Journey

When it comes to motherhood, Audrey Roloff is doing her best to keep it real.

Yes, the Little People, Big World star is beyond grateful and happy to have given birth to her first child on September 10.

But, no, the experience so far has not been easy.

Roloff has been an open book when it comes to this unfortunate fact, admitting weeks ago that she was even suffering from bouts of postpartum depression.

This was largely linked to a diagnosis of mastitis, which is a condition that makes breastfeeding painful.

Like, VERY painful.

Like, so painful that Audrey compared it to natural childbirth.

How is she doing these days when it comes to providing sustenance for her daughter?

Audrey just updated fans with an emotional Instagram post.

“I always thought breastfeeding was a choice,” it begins.

“People would often ask me if l was going to breastfeed when I was pregnant and l always answered with a determined yes.

“But after Ember was born, l realized that for some people, it’s not a choice.”

For some people, the reality star realized, it’s too painful to continue doing.

“My breastfeeding journey has not been easy,” she added.

“After sharing with you all a little bit about the struggles l have had feeding Ember, l realized that so many of you have gone through, or are currently going through, similar pains, heart aches, and challenges.”

Audrey drew strength from her faith and from a supportive husband during her lowest times.

She went into detail about those times in this post:

About 24 hours after Ember was born, l became severely engorged. The nurses at the hospital admitted to it being the worse case they’d ever seen.

l couldn’t put my arms at my sides or hold Ember – except to feed, and feeding was so painful because l was also badly blistered/bruised (we later found out Ember had a significant lip and tounge tie).

Not to mention, what they had to do to “get me flowing” was excruciating. l thought the pain was supposed to be over once they laid her on my chest?

But people just don’t talk enough about the after labor pains…

It’s true.

People often assume that once a baby is born, the rest is a piece of cake.

Physically, at least.

“Three days after coming home from the hospital, l came down with mastitis,” Audrey explains.

“The antibiotics for my infection, stress, Ember’s lip and tounge tie, sleep deprivation, and some misguided medical advice caused my milk supply to completely tank.

“l was devastated and even told by a pediatrician and lactation consultant that l would probably not ever be able to exclusively breastfeed Ember.

“She was having trouble gaining weight and they were concerned. They also thought l had insiffienct granular tissue.”

Over the past few weeks, though, as evidenced by an influx of Ember Jean photos, it’s clear that things have taken a positive turn.

Mom, Dad and Daughter have figured things out and are doing a lot better.

Ending her Instagram note on a positive message, Audrey wrote of the first photo shared above:

“Here we are two months later and Ember has been exclusively breastfeed for the past 5 weeks!!! So much hard work and prayers have come to fruition.”

This is great news!

We’re so happy to hear it!

Concludes the star:

“Two days ago l came down with mastitis again… but l was reminded that even though this journey still poses its challenges, being able to feed my daughter from my own body brings me incomparable joy.

“l will defintely be sharing more about this journey on my blog eventually.

“But l just wanted to share this here and now in case there are other new mamas out there that could be encouraged and filled with hope by my testimony.”

We very much appreciate Audrey sharing her story with us.

We continue to wish her luck and we continue to appreciate all the pictures she posts.

Ember is adorable!

Nicole Curtis: Rehab Addict Host Mom-Shamed for Breastfeeding Her Toddler!

Usually, you don’t want the words “rehab” or “addict” anywhere near a story about parenting, but things are a little different when you’re talking about Nicole Curtis, star of Rehab Addict.

But Nicole has stirred up controversy over breastfeeding.

Unlike many such stories, it’s not over feeding her baby in public (gasp!) … but over the fact that, well, her kid’s not really a baby anymore.

Rehab Addict is a long-running reality series about fixing up and restoring old homes, particularly when it comes to classic architecture.

Essentially, saving houses whenever possible. It’s a neat concept.

Right now, that show’s star, Nicole Curtis, is being mom-shamed.

Now, mom-shamers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Like that daddy blogger who leashed his kid, which we don’t understand but which some people blew way out of proportion.

Or like when fans flipped out and accused Chelsea Houska of “poisoning” her baby when, in reality, she had him get his vaccinations, as responsible parents do.

But breastfeeding seems to really get people’s garters in a twist.

(Probably because of our society’s bizarre love-hate fixation with women and with women’s breasts — which we call “bizarre” because … they’re just breasts. What’s not to love?)

Moms using their breasts to feed their babies seems to freak people out when it’s in public. It’s ludicrous, but it happens.

But sometimes, people do weird stuff.

Like using breastmilk to make brownies for a bake sale, weirding approximately everyone the eff out.

Or breastfeeding their baby while having sex, which is a kind of multitasking that makes people really, really uncomfortable.

Nicole Curtis’ alleged breastfeeding weirdness is a little different, however.

Her issue isn’t that she’s feeding her child in an art gallery (gasp!) or on a bench in a public park (no!), but that … he’s 30 months old.

For those of you who don’t enjoy math, that’s two-and-a-half years.

Speaking to People, Nicole Curtis defends breastfeeding him despite his age.

“I keep saying, it’s not like he’s 7 or 8 — he’s still a baby.”

As critics are quick to point out … he’s literally not, though. Harper (for that’s his name) is a toddler.

Nicole advocates letting children decide on their own when to stop breastfeeding.

“It doesn’t force children to eat — it allows them to discover it and gradually wean at their pace.”

That is a great idea … up to a point. The question is, of course, where that line is and whether or not Nicole and Harper have crossed it.

Apparently, plenty of critics have decided that they have.

“Every single day I have to weather criticism about how my child is too old to breastfeed.”

Nicole wants Harper to make this choice for himself.

“But when he weans, it’s going to be his decision. I truly believe it’s the child’s choice.”

Plenty of children are allowed to decide when to be weaned. Plenty of them quit the breast earlier rather than later, as babies and toddlers like exploring and learning and experiencing the world.

Self-weaning might see a baby leaving boobs behind before they’re a year old. But Harper is clearly on the other extreme end of the spectrum.

Nicole didn’t bring this up with the world because she wants them all to know what an extra special snowflake she is, or whatever people imagine motivates minor celebrities from talking about their lives.

It’s actually a legal issue for her. A custody issue for her.

A judge has literally ruled about this. (There have been a couple of rulings, actually)

Speaking of her young son, Nicole laments a sudden change in his dietary routine:

“He had never had a bottle before, and then all of a sudden that was his only option while he was with his dad.”

That’s a rough transition for a kid to make.

“I had no idea that a judge could say, ‘You’re court-ordered to not feed your exclusively breastfed child."”

She also had trouble producing enough milk through a pump. Until then, she’d never needed to.

“It’s important that children have both of their parents. But [preventing] me from breastfeeding my child just so he can see the dad is not right.”

Nicole says that she’s sharing this story because it’s important for people to know that it can happen. And because she wants to effect change.

“I’ve always been a fighter. If something’s not right, I’m the first person to stand up.”

She hates that her divorce is impacting Harper in this way.

“And I don’t believe that my child should have to wean because of our situation.”

A judge later ruled, giving her once-a-day visits with Harper during Harper’s time with his father. (They exchange him on alternating weeks)

Honestly, in Western countries, it’s normal to wean between ages 1 and 2, right? Sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later.

Worldwide, though, it’s not uncommon to see children who don’t wean until between ages 2 and 6.

That may sound bizarre — most children in the West don’t grow up with conscious memories of breastfeeding. The idea of breastfeeding when you’re old enough to read is, to many, shocking.

But Harper isn’t there yet. We’d say that, right now, he’s right on the threshold.

If he’s still breastfeeding when it’s time for preschool, then yeah, it might be time for Nicole to make that choice for him, before it hinders his social development.

Right now, though? All of that mom-shaming seems wasted when there are plenty of bad moms out there.

Also, we should note that Nicole seems to almost welcome the criticism. She told a recent critic that she’s also against infant circumcision (a view shared by many human rights advocates) in case people are looking for other things to hold against her.

Like she said, she’s a real fighter.

Heidi Montag: Breastfeeding Baby Gunner Pratt in Precious New Pic!

On Sunday, October 1st, Heidi Montag gave birth to her and Spencer Pratt’s first child — a precious baby boy.

The first photos of baby Gunner Pratt are slowly trickling in, but the proud parents have shared a brand new photo.

Heidi has now joined the ranks of actresses who are sharing breastfeeding photos.

During they heyday of The Hills, the very idea of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt becoming parents would have given us nightmares.

After the two of them managed to burn through their $ 10 million fortune in a frighteningly short amount of time, the thought of them becoming responsible for a tiny human being would have caused us to slip into a coma.

But this pair of D-listers have come a long, long way since then.

Don’t get us wrong — they’re still, uh, “eccentric.” Their feud with Lauren Conrad still seems to be going strong.

And yes, Spencer Pratt still loves crystals.

But they’ve clearly made strides towards what is at the very least a strong resemblance to personhood since The Hills was a thing.

Which is good, because baby Gunner is here!

Awwwww!

This is great, first of all, because it’s a precious photo of all three members of this small but growing family.

But it’s also wonderful because every photo that celebs share of themselves breastfeeding helps to normalize breastfeeding for millions of women.

We don’t know how many instances there have been of women being asked to leave or to breastfeed their babies in often filthy public restrooms.

(No one should have to eat lunch in a bathroom, folks)

The worst cases are when women in art museums are asked this, since they’re often surrounded by paintings and sculptures of bare breasts but aren’t being allowed to feed their infants.

The #FreeTheNipple movement isn’t just about toplessness for toplessness’ sake, though that’s a worthy cause in and of itself.

It’s also just about making society less uptight about breasts and their accompanying nip nops.

In her own way, Heidi Montag is helping make the world a better place. Every drop in the bucket contributes to the inevitable cultural shift.

Precious baby Gunner deserves the best, right?

Fortunately, Spencer and Heidi have done more than just grow with age and life experience.

Heidi rekindled her relationship with her formerly estranged mother, Darlene Egelhoff.

Previously, Heidi had gotten what the medical community refers to as a “horrifying f–kton” of cosmetic surgery, distorting her features into a twisted caricature of humanity and spending a ludicrous amount of money in the process.

At the time, Heidi’s mother had expressed concerns. Like the rest of America.

Heidi hadn’t liked that, so she and her mother were on bad terms for years.

But they both agreed to appear on The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition. The whole purpose of which is to orchestrate reconciliations between mothers and daughters.

In some cases, it didn’t work out so well. In some cases, it shouldn’t work out. But in the case of Heidi Montag and her mother, they were actually able to reconnect and soothe some old wounds.

In fact, Heidi Montag flaunted her 6-month baby bump while hiking with Spencer and with her mother.

The more family that they’re close to, the bigger their support network.

Family isn’t the only support network that they’ve set up for their baby, of course.

Jen Bunney is Gunner’s godmother, which is not surprising but makes for an amazing The Hills callback, but she’s apparently not his only godparent.

We don’t have the complete list or anything, but that’s interesting to know. And comforting.

The whole idea is that they would assume responsibility for Gunner if, heavens forbid, anything should happen to Heidi and Spencer.

But hopefully the Pratts’ extensive, expensive collection of crystals will bring them all of the good vibes or good luck or whatever that they need so that they can always be there for little Gunner.

Tori Roloff Has a Lot to Say About Breastfeeding

Tori Roloff has been very forthcoming about parenthood.

The Little People, Big World star discussed her fears of getting a C-section prior to giving birth; shared a photo of son Jackson Kyle shortly after he entered the world; and has also spoken openly about having a child with dwarfism.

But now, for the first time, Roloff has now touched on an important subject regarding mothering:

Breastfeeding.

“Hands down the hardest thing about being a mom has been breastfeeding,” wrote Tori as a caption to the picture above, adding:

“It was something I did not expect. I just figured it would come naturally because it’s what nature intended, [but] I was so wrong.

“Jackson and I got so frustrated with one another in the beginning and it took every ounce of me to not quit.”

We’re guessing many mothers around the globe can relate to this problem.

The experience really is different for everyone.

Roloff, who just celebrated her two-year anniversary with husband Zach, went on to share more of what she’s been through, while also making a point to send some words of advice to fellow new parents on the Internet.

“I realized I was being selfish,” Tori continued.

“It was an inconvenience and took FOREVER but I was blessed enough to be able to BF. I was in a position that some women would die to be in and I couldn’t let that go.

“I feel for those mamas that can’t breastfeed.”

This can be a sensitive topic in general.

Many famous women (below) have used their platform to attempt and “normalize” breastfeeding, doing all they can to end any stigmas attached to this very normal and very healthy act.

(There’s also one woman who likes to have sex while breastfeeding.)

Tori, though, isn’t really taking a strong stance in either direction.

She isn’t trying to make any grand statement by sharing the image above or by including a lengthy caption along with it./

She’s simply trying to make all mothers feel fine with whatever choices they make in life.

“I get asked at all my appointments how BFing is going and I couldn’t imagine how that would make the women who physically can’t feel. I also HATE the stigma of breastfeeding,” she wrote, concluding as follows:

I still feel awkward in public when I feed my baby. Why should I? I’m providing for my child.

J and I have come a long way and we work well together now and I’m proud of that. There are still times that I feel overwhelmed with breastfeeding but I know I’m doing to best I can.

We as women just do the best we can and that’s all anyone can ask. You do you mamas. Don’t let anyone make you feel insignificant or like you’re not doing your best.

Breastfeeding is ridiculously hard and it doesn’t always work out. Our kids are going to be just fine.

Amen, Tori.

Well said all around.

In a month or so, Tori will have someone in her own family to talk about all of this with because Audrey Roloff is pregnant and expecting a girl at the end of August.

We can’t wait to meet her!

Tara Wallace: Look at Me Breastfeeding My Baby!

Tara Wallace is no stranger to controversy, and her latest Instagram picture did not receive the best response from fans.

The 34-year-old Love & Hip Hop: New York star hit up the picture sharing site to show off that she knows how to breastfeed her son or something.

The picture was of her breastfeeding her son, Gunner Pankey and we’re not quite sure whether she was trying her best to garner some controversy with the picture.

Let’s just way it wouldn’t be the first time Tara has done something in the name of causing some drama.

“I only make it look easy☺️! #normalizebreastfeeding #breastfeeding #breastisbest #thelatch #firstlatch,” the reality TV star captioned the image.

Her one million followers, however, had divided opinions on the image and made their feelings known about it.

“Breastfeeding is great, but we don’t need to see it up close and personal,” one user wrote, clearly irate at the picture.

Another user actually defended Wallace, saying: “Some of you on here are extremely ignorant. He’s too big for breastfeeding?! Her child her decision.”

The above comment came on the heels of someone taking a jab at Tara for her son apparently being too old for breastfeeding.

Another user said,”Tara’s page, Tara’s baby, Tara’s breast. Don’t like, it too bad. Please feel free to exit her page.”

Like we said above, Tara is no stranger to controversy and probably lives for it. If you watch Love & Hip Hop online, you will likely remember her being involved in a love triangle with Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly.

While Tara eventually removed herself from the situation, she basically said all of the drama meant she was getting paid, so she did not give a crap.

“Our storyline is just so intense, you just can’t help but be affected by it, emotionally,” Tara said at the time in an interview with VH1.

“For me, when all of this happened, even though it’s been quite some time now, we have taken our story, and it’s become a source of our income.”

“So there hasn’t been a period of time when we haven’t had to address it.”

What do you think about all of this?

Sound off below!

Tess Holliday Shares Sweet New Breastfeeding Photo, Reveals Struggles of Motherhood

Tess Holliday, plus size model and inspiration to all, is at it again.

Because not only is she still putting in work to normalize breastfeeding, not only is she being her usual lovely self, but she’s also getting extremely personal about the struggles she’s faced after giving birth for the second time.

At this point, could you possibly love her any more than you already do?

Guess we’ll find out!

She shared the above photo on Instagram — just one of many photos she’s shared of herself breastfeeding her precious little son, Bowie.

And while it’s beautiful and wonderful and all kinds of good things, it’s the caption that really got us.

“It’s not #tbt technically,” she wrote, “but I found this photo on my phone now from September of last year & it gave me so many feels.”

“this photo was taken at my dear friends home during a dark time in my life. I was an emotional mess + struggling to find my way as a new mom again.”

“When I looked at this photo,” she said, “a wave of sadness poured over me, but now I only see my tiny bubs nursing & Sweetie,” that precious little dog, “looking on like a nervous new mom.”

Tess, full of wisdom as she is, continued with “Life is messy, love is complicated, & it can all feel so overwhelming but we grow & learn.”

“I’m so grateful for my life & appreciate it all, even if I can’t always see the light at the end … it’s there. Promise.”

Amazing, right?

After giving birth, so, so many women are just a mess of hormones and emotions, and they’re still made to feel horrible if they struggle with that.

Postpartum depression is a huge issue, and while Tess doesn’t explicitly say she suffered from it, it sounds like she got a rough case of the baby blues at the very least.

It’s so important for women to talk about all these things, and to get the message across that it’s normal, and it doesn’t make you any less of a mother.

So not only is Tess normalizing breastfeeding, not only is she telling the world “eff your beauty standards,” she’s also standing up for herself and for women everywhere who’ve gone through similar issues.

What do you know … it turns out we can love her more!

Candice Swanepoel Slams Breastfeeding Critics, Points to Clear Double Standard

Candice Swanepoel has something to say about the act of breastfeeding.

And about the general concept of breasts in general.

A Victoria’s Secret model, Swanepoel has walked on runways around the globe.

She has also posed topless for a number of campaigns and magazines.

And not once has Swanepoel received criticism for this scantily-clad spreads.

If anything, fans have clamored for more, praising Swanepoel’s body and asking for her to show off as much cleavage as possible.

But attach a small child to one of her boobs and Swanepoel hears a very different response.

She’s noticed it ever since becoming a new mother to a baby boy named Anacã, who she welcomed into the world this October with fiance Hermann Nicoli.

And now Swanepoel has something to say about this very clear double standard; about the fact that she can make a living taking her shirt off…

… and yet also somehow offend folks by taking her shirt off.

“Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children,” the model wrote as a caption to the following image.

As you’re about to see, it depicts her providing an important meal to her son.

“I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I’ve done in the name of art…” she continued.

Swanepoel included the hashtag “mothernature” with her justifable rant and concluded as follows:

“The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv…why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding? -Breastfeeding is not sexual it’s natural-

“Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole.”

Amen, right?

Swanepoel is the latest in a long line of female celebrities to extol the virtues of breastfeeding and also lash out at critics of the healthy act.

Must these women actually apologize or feel embarrassed about giving sustenance to their baby?

Come on, society. We’re better than this, aren’t we?

Hopefully, going forward, more people such as THIS TARGET EMPLOYEE, will speak out any time they see someone being shamed for feeling her child.

And as stars around the world try their hardest to normalize the act, we’ll be right there with them, sharing photos and singing their praises.

To wit:

Good for these women!

Good for all women who make the health of their baby a priority over everything else!

But not you, Wendy Williams. After THIS DEBACLE OF AN ARGUMENT, not you at all. Not ever.

Blac Chyna Slammed for Sharing Dream Kardashian Breastfeeding Pic

Want to hear something cute?

Dream Kardashian, daughter of Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, is only two days old, and she’s already got her own Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Between the two, she has just under 200,000 followers right now — oh, and her Instagram account has already been verified.

But right now, we want to talk about Dream’s very first social media post, which also happens to be her very first social media scandal.

She shared this pic — or, let’s be real, Chyna probably shared the pic, Dream won’t be able to post her own selfies until she’s at least six months old — and captioned it “Bonding time with mommy.”

Yes, that’s a picture of Blac Chyna breastfeeding her baby.

And goodness knows that will not stand.

Check out some of the disturbing comments this little family got on this sweet photo:

We don’t need to see that!! Why don’t you show us the vag she came from then?

F-cking gross u shameless money hungry ape

Poor baby is gonna get silicone poisoning gotta pray for her!

Big ass tits bruh

I don’t gotta respect no thot or her ugly ass jackpot baby … f-ck y’all lol

This sh-t is DISGUSTING … ugly ass baby & ugly ass hair tit … idc what y’all say… I ain’t gotta like it & this is the internet so I can say wtf I want on any pic I want.

So, as you can see, people are terrible and there is no hope for the future.

We are all doomed, for there is little to no goodness left in this world.

It’s not new information, but it’s still sad to hear, right?

But if you need a little bit of a palate cleanser, then just check this out:

It looks like Kim Kardashian is still kicking, even though she’s been off social media for over a month now!

She and Kanye West sent Dream two pairs of Yeezys, as well as those fancy balloons! Rob shared the photo, along with a “Thank you KimYe.”

So Kim was a little late, it seems, but she finally joined the rest of her sisters in sending Rob well wishes on his new baby girl.

His oldest sister, Kourtney Kardashian, tweeted “Feeling joyful and blessed to meet my little angel niece this morning … dream come true.”

Khloe Kardashian, probably Rob’s closest sibling, wrote “My new niece is absolutely stunning!!! So thankful I was able to land in time to witness this miracle happen! Praise God!”

Kylie Jenner came in with “I can’t stop looking at her. Congrats @robkardashian @blacchyna she’s so beyond beautiful, a dream.”

Kendall Jenner, though, still hasn’t made any kind of public comment about Dream.

What a family, huh?

Man Calls Out Mom for Breast-Feeding. Then THIS Happens.

The following video features one pretty awful man.

And a bunch of totally awesome Target employees.

It was filmed by a young mother in Connecticut named Jessie Maher, as she sat down in the store’s cafeteria to breast feed her one-year old daughter.

Quickly after she started to do so, a man blasted Maher as a “disgusting whore."

But Maher pulled out her cellphone and started to film the incident, later sharing it on her Facebook page.

To date, it has racked up over five million views.

“Anybody know this a**hole who verbally assaulted me in target this morning while I was breastfeeding my baby? (He’s wearing an Avon shirt)," Maher wrote as a message along with the footage.

She added:

"Before the video started rolling he looked at me and said (very angrily), “can’t you do that somewhere else?… That’s f***ing disgusting.. You are nasty” (he said a few other things under his breath).

"I responded with, “I am feeding my baby, and I have the right to do it here…walk the f*** away..leave me the f*** alone."

"He responded with, (as he’s walking closer and closer to me and getting louder) “you are f***ing disgusting…you are f***ing disgusting…you are f***ing disgusting…you whore” he said a bunch more bullshit that I can not remember ….

"by this point EVERYONE came to my defense! Target staff and shoppers… Then I started rolling the camera…."

An unidentified woman can be heard coming to Maher"s defense.

She makes sure the poor mother doesn"t feel ashamed over providing her child with sustenance.

“You shouldn’t be ashamed of feeding your baby,” she tells Maher.

“He can go the other way. This is a beautiful moment. If he doesn’t like it he can go.”

Then she addresses the man: “Don’t look, okay? I’m here to protect her.”

Pretty awesome, huh?

Chrissy Teigen on Breastfeeding: I Feel Like a Cow!

Chrissy Teigen is going to tell it like it is.

Yes, she may be a new parent, but that doesn’t mean she won’t go out to dinner and that doesn’t mean she won’t tell off haters who have a problem with this.

That’s why we love Chrissy Teigen, isn’t it?

Along these honest lines, the model spoke to Entertainment Tonight this week about life as a mother, with she and John Legend having welcomed a daughter named Luna into the world in mid-April.

Parenthood is amazing, Teigen said. But it’s also challenging and exhausting.

“If you kind of do the math, you’re kind of breast-feeding for 10 hours a day, total,” Teigen explained.

Don’t get the Lip Sync Battle co-host wrong, of course. She isn’t really complaining.

“We’re so happy,” she made a point of telling correspondent Jennifer Peros. “It’s been really exciting and fun, and every day is so different, and seeing all her little changes is so cute.”

Luna, of course, is a total cutie herself. As you can see here:

Back to breastfeeding, though, which Teigen has even shared photos of her doing.

“It’s very loving and sweet, but it’s not easy,” she said. “It’s hard to work your entire day around getting her the nourishment she needs because they are just little animals.”

She means this in a loving sense.

“They just use you for your milk and you just feel like you are just a cow all day,” Chrissy added.

We’re guessing that millions of moms, famous or not, are nodding in agreement around the world right now.

Teigen says she may still lash out occasionally, but being a mother really does put things in perspective.

“It does seem all silly now,” she says of critics and her responses to them in the past.

“Like, anything that you got frustrated over about before, nothing really matters anymore. And I think you just let things go a little more…

“I’m learning to let things roll off my back a bit easier. I have more important things going on now.”

Kim Kardashian Blogs About Breastfeeding

Kim Kardashian Boobs Alert! Kim Kardashian Boobs Alert!

But not like that, fellas.

Indeed, while Kardashian has been known over the years to flaunt her breasts and talk at length on her breast, this time around the mother of two has opened up in a lengthy blog entry about breast… feeding.

To wit:

“I’m about two months into breastfeeding and I’m not gonna lie – it can be time-consuming,” Kim wrote on her official app.

“For some reason, North hates when I feed the baby, and she lays on my lap so Saint can’t be right in front of me to eat, LOL!”

Kim, of course, gave birth to a son named Saint West on December 5 and has been pretty annoying about it ever since.

She won’t shut up about the need to lose her pregnancy weight and now she writes REALLY irritating, obvious stuff as how breastfeeding can be “time-consuming.”

Yes, Kim, millions of mothers (many of them with full-time jobs) can relate.

“I’ve started to include her: Sometimes I will pump and have her feed him the bottle,” Kim added of North. “That totally worked!”

Kardashian goes on about many aspects of breastfeeding here, so we’ll just do a quick Q&A below:

Does breastfeeding come easily for her? I feel super lucky that breastfeeding is easy for me and I produce a lot of milk – so much that I’ve taken over my mom’s freezer with tons of milk!

What advice can she offer? I use a nipple shield most of the time when I feed. I find the baby feeds better, and it allows me to never get irritated nipples or anything because they’re protected by the shield. The hospital suggested shields to me, since at the beginning I found nursing super painful and difficult, so I took some home and never looked back.

Would she breastfeed in public? Whatever makes you comfortable goes I still personally wouldn’t breastfeed at a restaurant with a bunch of people I didn’t know staring at me. I’ve seen this before and remember tweeting how shocked I was.

Does she just anyone who does breastfeed in public? I know people have their opinions on how others should live their lives and I try not to be judgmental anymore – this is simply just my opinion”
