Angela "Big Ang" Raiola Forgave Estranged Husband on Deathbed, Sources Say

Earlier this week, Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola passed away after battling stage 4 cancer for several weeks.

As details of her final hours rolled in, we learned about Big Ang’s final words and the outpouring of love and support that she enjoyed just before her death.

Now, Radar Online is reporting that while she may have gained fame as a tough-talking badass, Ang’s final act was one of love and compassion.

In the final weeks of her life, Raiola became estranged from her husband, Neil Murphy.

She explained in an interview with Dr. Oz that Murphy failed to “step up” during her treatment, and while she knew that she might soon be facing the end, she decided she would rather do so alone.

According to Ang’s sister Janine Detore, however, Murphy never left his wife’s side during her painful last days, and before she slipped into a coma from which she would never emerge, Ang told Neil that she loved and forgave him.

“My sister would never ever keep a grudge or hard feelings for anybody,” Detore tells Radar. “She was just like that. You could do anything to her and she would be like, ‘Okay.’”

Displaying the loyalty and attitude that helped make her sister famous, Detore added:

“They didn’t have a fight. My sister was sick in the hospital. Do you really think Neil would fight with her? We would beat the s*** out of him. He would never do that anyway.”

Our thoughts go out to Big Ang’s massive network of family, friends and supporters during this difficult time.

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola: Last Words, Deathbed Details Revealed

Early this morning, Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola passed away after a battle with throat cancer.

Raiola experienced a brief period of full remission following a successful surgery in April of last year.

Sadly, her tumors returned in aggressive fashion a few weeks later, and in November, it was revealed that Raiola was suffering from stage 4 cancer that had spread to several organs, and was not expected to survive.

Just two days before her death, Big Ang appeared on The Dr. Oz Show, where she spoke of her love for her family and her acceptance of the fact that she was essentially fighting a losing battle.

Thankfully, insiders say though her fight was a painful one, Raiola was, for the most part, comfortable in her final hours, and according to the most recent report from Radar Online, the 55-year-old died as she lived  – surrounded by friends and family.

“Everyone was crying,” says a source close to the family. “She was in her death bed last night. I’ve never seen her like that.

“She was just unconscious drifting in and out. She was laying there.”

The insider adds that family flew in from all over the country, and Ang’s estranged husband Neil Murphy was by her side when she took her last breath.

“Everyone was there,” says the source. “All her friends and family were there. Some of her family flew in from Florida.

“Neil was there. He stayed the whole time and until the end.”

Ang’s sister, Janine Detore, says that Raiola wasn’t able to speak toward the very end, but did communicate with her family one last time the day before her death.

“The last time she spoke was yesterday,” says Detore. “She just said she wanted to go home. It was very hard.”

Our thoughts go out to Ang’s family, friends, and many fans.

Angela Raiola Dies; Mob Wives" "Big Ang" Was 55

Angela ”Big Ang” Raiola has died after a battle with Stage 4 cancer, according to reports. The Mob Wives star was just 55 years old.

Ang was surrounded by close family members early this morning at a New York City hospital when the VH1 reality star passed away.

Raiola was first diagnosed with throat cancer in April when doctors discovered a tumor in her throat and it was removed shortly after.

Unfortunately, Ang learned that her cancer had returned in December and spread to her brain and lungs, leaving her prognosis grim.

Her rep released a statement saying Ang passed at 3:01 a.m.

Hours earlier, Ang’s team denied false reports that she died Wednesday evening, though this time her camp confirms the tragic truth.

Ang’s fans from her tenure on Mob Wives, the rep made a point of saying, “were some of the most special people in her world.”

Raiola “loved you immensely. Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end.”

Raiola is survived by her two kids, Raquel and Anthony, and six grandkids. Our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola Talks Cancer Treatment, Reveals Chances of Survival

Back in April of 2015, Mob Wives star Angela Raiola was diagnosed with throat cancer.

That same month, she underwent surgery, and the tumor was successfully removed

"Big Ang," as she"s known to fans, announced online that she was in complete remission, and she even scheduled a public appearance tour to celebrate.

Sadly, just last month Raiola learned that her cancer had returned in a particularly aggressive form.

In a public statement, Raiola"s family revealed that the popular reality TV star is now fighting stage 4 cancer, and doctors have advised that she prepare for the worst.

“Chemotherapy was started January 5," said Ang"s sister, Janice Detore.

"On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change.”

Today, Ang appeared on The Dr. Oz Show for her first interview since learning that the cancer had returned.

She revealed that doctors have given her a 30 percent chance of survival, and that she"s parted ways with her husband of six years, Neil Murphy, after he failed to "step up" during her treatment.

Watch Big Ang talk about her illness and her decision to go it alone in the clip below:

Angela Raiola Hospitalized with Stage 4 Lung and Brain Cancer

Very sad news this week out of the television world:

Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola has been hospitalized for stage 4 lung and brain cancer.

Raiola’s sister, Janine Detore, revealed this tragic diagnosis to fans on Wednesday, saying that treatments for the VH1 reality star have not been working.

As a result, she has created a GoFundMe page in the hopes of raising $ 25,000 for alternative cures.

“My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer,” Detore wrote on this GoFundMe page.

“Chemotherapy was started January 5th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change.”

Last March, the 55-year old told People Magazine that she was diagnosed with a lemon-sized tumor in her throat.

A mother of two, Angela said she quit smoking (following 40 years of the habit) that day and underwent surgery in June.

“We were advised that she would start immunotherapy the following week,” Detore writes online, bringing fans up to date.

“Here we are at the emergency room waiting to see why her breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she could handle.

“So I suggested cannabis oil as an alternative. This is why I am putting up this go fund me to try to help my sister to get this oil to help her at least be pain free. Angela cannot function to work anymore.”

Thus far, supporters have surpassed the family’s goal and raised over $ 30,000 for Big Ang.

We send her our very best wishes.

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola: Fighting Stage 4 Cancer; Family Braces For the Worst

In April of last year, Mob Wives cast member Angela “Big Ang” Raiola was diagnosed with throat cancer.

The popular reality star  – who’s raspy voice has become one of her trademarks – underwent a surgery that was described as a “complete success” and quickly returned to making public appearances. Unfortunately, it now looks as though she was far from out of the woods at that time.

Radar Online is reporting that Big Ang’s cancer has returned, and this time, the 55-year-old’s diagnosis is much worse.

According to the site, Raiola is now suffering from stage four cancer, and chemotherapy doesn’t appear to be helping.

“It’s serious,” says one insider. “She isn’t doing well right now.”

Ang’s sister, Janice Detore, has set up a GoFundMe page to help pay for Raiola’s treatment.

The family is close to reaching its $ 25,000 goal, but Detore’s description of her sister’s condition is far from encouraging:

“As you know my sister was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer,” she writes.

“Chemotherapy was started January 5 th. On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change.”

Detore adds that Raiola’s “breathing is labored and the amount of pain she is having is by far more than she can handle.”

As traditional treatments seem to be doing little to relieve Ang’s pain, Detore plans to use the donated funds to purchase cannabis oil and other alternative medicines.

“Angela cannot function to work anymore,” Detore writes. “I’m not sure that it will work but I’m praying.”

Ang has thanked fans for their support in a brief social media message, but her family says it may be several months before she’s able to resume her public appearance schedule.
