Mystery Doorbell Ringer Comes Forward, Shares Chilling Survival Story

This woman"s terrifying story gripped the nation before anyone knew her name or heard her reveal what had happened to her.

America first saw her as a nameless woman who, while wearing restraints and a large tee shirt, rang a neighbor"s doorbell late at night.

Her name is Lauren, and her story is every bit as chilling as people feared.

Lauren is 32 years old. She says that one night, she awoke to her 49-year-old boyfriend, Dennis Ray Collins, kneeling on her chest.

He was stuffing some sort of fabric into her mouth.

Her feet and ankles were bound by restraints, and she had duct tape on her head.

She reveals that, at the time, she fully believed that she was going to die.

She says that she tried to cling to hope during the sexual assault that followed.

Lauren says: "I just kept repeating in my head ‘God has more for me than this, I’m not gonna die here tonight,""

She had been living with Collins for 4 months at the time of the rape.

She says that afterwards, he allowed her to go to the kitchen to get some water — because her throat hurt from screaming.

This, she reveals, is when she saw her chance to escape — and took it.

We can never imagine how much bravery it took her to make that dash for the door and leave.

As natural as the instinct to flee is, there is also a powerful instinct in many people to cooperate with a threat in the hopes of survival. Neither instinct is always right, but Lauren made the right choice.

She says that she flagged down a car, asking the driver to help her — but that the driver took one look at her and sped away.

It was then that Lauren was famously recorded ringing a doorbell. She rang several doorbells.

Lauren explains that she was in fear for her life, but convinced that if someone saw her and made eye contact with her, that she woudl be safe.

In the end, Lauren was able to go back for her car to drive away. It was 3 in the morning, and her chances of getting someone to answer the door were slim.

Again, we cannot imagine how much courage it took for her to return to the one place where she knew that Collins might be.

Lauren drove to safety while the homeowner"s whose doorbell caught Lauren on video contacted law enforcement, fearing for this mystery woman"s life.

It was five days after the video surfaced that Collins committed suicide.

In his suicide note, he apologized to Lauren — which, obviously, doesn"t mean much, considering what he had done to her — and swears that he had not planned to kill her.

"I never would have killed you like you thought," Collins claimed. "I’m sorry for what I’ve done and I wish I could turn back time."

He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lauren is grappling with powerful emotions in the aftermath of this trauma. She even feels a misplaced sense of guilt over Collins" death.

But, speaking to Inside Edition, she admits that she believe that he would have taken her life.

"I worry if this video didn’t come out," Lauren admits. "And if he were not gone — then I eventually would be."

Angela "Big Ang" Raiola Talks Cancer Treatment, Reveals Chances of Survival

Back in April of 2015, Mob Wives star Angela Raiola was diagnosed with throat cancer.

That same month, she underwent surgery, and the tumor was successfully removed

"Big Ang," as she"s known to fans, announced online that she was in complete remission, and she even scheduled a public appearance tour to celebrate.

Sadly, just last month Raiola learned that her cancer had returned in a particularly aggressive form.

In a public statement, Raiola"s family revealed that the popular reality TV star is now fighting stage 4 cancer, and doctors have advised that she prepare for the worst.

“Chemotherapy was started January 5," said Ang"s sister, Janice Detore.

"On January 26th the doctor reviewed her CT scan and informed us that the treatment was not working, and in fact one tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change.”

Today, Ang appeared on The Dr. Oz Show for her first interview since learning that the cancer had returned.

She revealed that doctors have given her a 30 percent chance of survival, and that she"s parted ways with her husband of six years, Neil Murphy, after he failed to "step up" during her treatment.

Watch Big Ang talk about her illness and her decision to go it alone in the clip below:

The Voice Recap: Top 12 Perform, Fight For Survival

Having culled the field from 24 to 12 over three nights last week, the Voice is down to its top dozen of Season 9, and they left it all out there Monday.

Two of the Top 12 contestants will be eliminated on Tuesday night’s results show, and the coaches can’t do a thing about it for the first time this year.

Who will survive, and who will get the chop?!

Let’s break it down by the four teams …

TEAM GWEN

Braiden Sunshine took on “Renegade” by Styx, which allowed the teenage wonder to show off some more power. Will it be enough to move on?

Jeffery Austin sang “Let It Go” by James Bay, and while the vocals were strong, his performance lacked that “it” factor … we’ll see if voters concur.

Korin Bukowski performed “Titanium” by Sia and David Guetta, a brutal song to sing but one she acquitted herself well on. She might just survive.

TEAM PHARRELL

Mark Hood performed “Against All Odds” by Phil Collins, delivering another dynamic performance that impressed all of the coaches last night.

Madi Davis chose “Who Will Save Your Soul” by Jewel, treating us to a rendition that was both bold and understated, unique and memorable.

Evan McKeel sang “This Is It” by Kenny Loggins, singing from the heart and making the case that he belongs in this stage of the game as well.

TEAM ADAM

Jordan Smith, the early favorite, poured it all into “Great Is Thy Faithfulness,” a departure from his usual pop songs, but an emotional high point.

Shelby Brown selected “In Color” by Jamey Johnson, got ahead of the band early on, but recovered nicely and showed considerable poise.

Amy Vachal performed a rendition of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” with herself on the guitar in a seductive, impressive and unique performance.

TEAM BLAKE

Barrett Baber’s choice of “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx showed off his range, but also his struggles at times connecting with the audience.

Emily Ann Roberts’ choice of “Blame It on Your Heart” by Patty Loveless raised a similar issue. Is she good, but not great enough to keep going?

Zach Seabaugh closed out the night with “My Love,” showing a different side of himself and likely earning a ticket to the next round as a result.

Well? Who do you think shone brightest on The Voice and who do you think has what it takes to survive tonight’s results – and beyond?!

Lamar Odom: Chance of Survival 50/50 After Multiple Organs Fail

Nearly 24 hours after Lamar Odom was found unconscious in his VIP suite at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada, doctors are still delivering mostly bad news about his condition.

First we learned that Odom overdosed and that “virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system,” according to hospital insiders.

Shortly thereafter, TMZ reported that an MRI revealed Odom suffered multiple strokes, meaning there’s very likelihood that he’ll fully recover.

Now, sources inside Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas – where Odom’s family and friends have gathered to be by his side – are offering their most grim prognosis yet.

According to TMZ, Lamar’s medical staff has informed his loved ones that the 35-year-old’s chances for survival are about 50/50.

Doctors say four of Lamar’s organs are failing, including his kidneys.

Odom has almost certainly suffered extensive brain damage, but the condition of his other organs makes it difficult to test his brain functioning.

Needless to say, the situation is grim, and the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan has reportedly assembled in Las Vegas to be by Khloe’s side at this unimaginably difficult time.

The Revereand Jesse Jackson and Kobe Bryant have also visited the hospital in order to pray by their friend’s bedside.

We’ll keep you updated on Lamar’s condition as more information becomes available.
