Robert Durst: I Was on Meth When I Confessed to Those Murders!
It’s been a while since we last checked in on Robert Durst, the black-eyed, cross-dressing, possibly murderous millionaire whose bizarre life story helped HBO’s The Jinx kick off TV’s current true crime trend.
The five-part docuseries focused on the 73-year-old real estate heir’s involvement in three apparent murders, all of which remain unsolved.
In the shocking final episode, Durst appears to confess to the crimes, muttering “I killed them all” into what he didn’t seem to realize was a live microphone.
Needless to say, this year has been kind of a mixed bag for the aging scions of New York City real estate empires.
Durst is currently behind bars, awaiting trial for the murder of Susan Berman, a longtime friend who was found dead in her home, not long after corroborating Durst’s alibi in his wife’s murder case and accepting a $ 50,000 payment from him.
The case against him may seem pretty open-and-shut, but Durst has beat long odds twice before, being cleared of all wrongdoing in the deaths of both his wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst, and another friend, Morris Black.
Now, Durst claims to have an explanation for why he would confess to murders he didn’t commit while talking to himself in an empty room:
“I was on meth. The whole time I was on meth,” Durst said in a jailhouse interview that was filed as evidence by his defense team on Friday.
Durst added that his intoxication “should have been obvious” to anyone who watched The Jinx.
Well, it was certainly clear that something was amiss with Durst, but that’s to be expected when you’re chatting with a guy who’s connected to more disappearances than the Bermuda Triangle.
And if Durst’s meth explanation holds up (and really, who lies about being on meth?) it begs the question:
How long has this bender been going on?
Was he on meth when he (allegedly) left a cat’s head on a judge’s doorstep?
How about when he (allegedly) slaughtered a bunch of dogs named Igor as practice for butchering human flesh?
Look, we fully believe that Durst was consuming loads of Heisenberg-quality crystal while he was filming the interviews that proved to be his undoing, but it’s difficult to chalk all of his behavior up to his drug use.
The fact that Durst has demonstrated a Keith Richards-like longevity as a hard drug user is just one of many factors that’s contributed to a very, very strange life.

Robert Vaughn Dies; Magnificent Seven, Man From U.N.C.L.E Actor Was 83
Robert Vaughn, the actor best known for his roles in the classic Western The Magnificent Seven and the 1960s NBC spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E has passed away.
Vaughn’s manager confirmed the news today in a press release:
“Mr. Vaughn passed away with his family around him,” the statement read.
Sources say Vaughn had recently been diagnosed with Leukemia.
Though best known for his work on such beloved TV series as Gunsmoke, Father Knows Best, Wagon Train, The Rifleman and The Dick Van Dyke Show, Vaughn also racked up more than 200 film credits over the course of his more than 60-year career.
Film fans will remember his roles in The Magnificent Seven, Bullitt and The Young Philadelphians, for which he was nominated for an Academy ward for Best Supporting Actor.
Directing and casting agents knew that Vaughn was fully able to laugh at his image as an icon of cool, which led to winking, stunt-casting roles in such recent comedies as the Chris Rock-produced Pootie Tang and the Trey parker and Matt Stone vehicle BASEketball.
He continued to work until the end of his life with roles on the UK series Hustle and Coronation Street.
Born in New York City, Vaughn moved to the West Coast for college when he was in his teens.
In the 1970s, he went back to school and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
His dissertation, “Only Victims: A Study of Show Business Blacklisting,” was publsshed in 1972.
Vaughn’s acclaimed memoir, A Fortunate Life, was published in 2009.

Robert Wagner to Be Arrested For Murder of Natalie Wood?
It’s been almost 35 years since Natalie Wood drowned during a boat trip with husband Robert Wagner and friend Christopher Walken.
Despite the fact that decades have passed since Wood lost her life under mysterious circumstances off the coast of Catalina Island, there’s been a renewed interest in the circumstances of her death in recent years.
The case began making headlines again back in 2012, when Wood’s death certificate was officially changed to include “mysterious circumstances” as one of the causes of her passing.
Shortly thereafter, rumors that Wood caught Wagner and Walken in bed together on the night of her death began to circulate online.
In December of 2014, Walken was questioned by police in connection with Wood’s death, but insiders say the interrogation produced no new information.
Several members of Wood’s family have remained persistent in their efforts to get to the bottom of what really happened on that fateful night in 1981, and the campaign to get all parties involved to participate in the ongoing investigation led to a videotaped confrontation between Wagner and Wood’s sister last year:
Now, a private detective firm called Cold Case Investigative Research claims to have assembled sufficient evidence to offer to convince police to arrest Wagner for Wood’s murder.
CCIR investigator Mark Rulli recently revealed to Radar Online that the firm has turned a file containing their findings over the Los Angeles Ounst Sheriff’s Department, which reopened its own investigation into Wood’s death in 2011.
“Natalie was married to a jealous man, who ended up robbing her of life,” Rulli tells the website.
While he’s unable to confirm the rumors about Walken and Wagner being involved in a sexual relationship, Rulli says he’s been able to prove conclusively that Wagner was carrying on two simultaneous affairs while Wood was still alive.
In order to avoid compromising the investigation, Rulli declined to offer forensic details, but an insider familiar with the case has assured Radar that “a bust is looming.”
A spokesperson for the LAPD confirmed that the department is “fully aware” of CCIR’s findings, but did not offer any further information.
It remains unclear if police have any intention of pressing charges against the 86-year-old Wagner.

Kristen Stewart: Robert Pattison And I Were NOT Bella and Edward
Kristen Stewart is only just recovering from her wildly famous relationship with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.
Not because she still pines for him, but because of the phenomenon it had snowballed into.
Stewart and Pattinson hit it off while filming the first installment of the Twilight saga. When fans found out that Bella and Edward were dating IRL, a sort of fantasy was created that Stewart found impossible to live up to.
“People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product,” Stewart told T magazine.
“It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me,” she continued.
“It’s not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I’m doing in my life. It’s that I don’t want to become a part of a story for entertainment value.”
It got to the point where Stewart suffered anxiety on the regular, so much so that she told Elle Magazine recently that she got sick every morning.
That might have been why she ended up having an affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders in the summer of 2012. He was married at the time to British model Liberty Ross, and Stewart was still very much with Pattinson.
Stewart, perhaps more famous for her reticent nature off-camera, wanted nothing to do with the level of fame she experienced.
“I’m not the typical showman. But at the same time, I want so badly to expose myself,” she said. “I want to be understood and I want to be seen, and I want to do that in the rawest, purest, most naked way I can.”
These days, Stewart has managed to survive the public backlash from that summer, though it did take a while for her to weather the storm.
Stewart is now in a relationship with producer Alicia Cargile, and she couldn’t be more proud to show off a relationship where she finally feels like herself.
“I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive,” Stewart said.
“I still want to protect my personal life, but I don’t want to seem like I’m protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people.”

Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec: MARRIED!
Forget going Dancing with the Stars for a moment.
Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec have gone exchanging of the vows… with each other!
The Shark Tank regular and his former Dancing with the Stars partner got married in Los Angeles on Saturday in front of family and friends, according to an exclusive report in People Magazine.
We can only imagine what sort of moves they put on for their first dance.
Insiders say the bride donned a Monique Lhuillier strapless gown and walked down the aisle with her mother and father as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” played in the background.
We know, right? AWWWWW!
There’s a 14-year age difference between Herjavec (who is 53) and Johnson (who is 39). But whatever.
They got engaged in March after about a year of dating.
Witness confirm that Herjavec and Johnson said their “I Do’s” in front of a few well-known guests, such as Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba and former contestants Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Donny Osmond.
“I hope I can speak and that I’m not sobbing with happiness,” Johnson joked to People just three days before the ceremony. “I’m sure I’ll be overcome with emotion.”
The couple fell for one another during series rehearsals in 2015, continuing to date long after they were sent packing by viewers.
Said Herjavec at one point during their relationship:
“I enjoy every minute I spend with Kym. When I met her, I felt complete.”
