Luke Rockhold and Demi Lovato: We"re Instagram Official!
In October, Demi Lovato wrote that she was retiring for the foreseeable future.
After hurling a few insults at Taylor Swift and her Squad, Lovato said she was “taking a break from music and the spotlight” until 2017 because she is “not meant for this business and the media.”
That may still be true (and we hope Lovato is doing okay these days), but Demi clearly is meant for something.
Or, perhaps we should say, for someone: Luke Rockhold!
Talk of Lovato and Rockhold as a couple first surfaced in August after the former UFC Middleweight Champion and the artist were spotted out and about in Los Angeles.
They reportedly met at the gym.
Now, Lovato has gone ahead and put an end to the dating rumor. But making this a dating reality!
On Saturday night, Lovato and Rockhold were two of thousands of attended at Madison Square Garden fr a UFC event held at that arena.
A handful of paparazzi members snapped pictures of the fighter and the singer entering and exiting the arena, more or less confirming their romance.
But nothing is official in Hollywood until it is Instagram official, which is why the photo is such a big deal.
It features Rockhold and Lovato at the aforementioned UFC gathering, along the caption “About Last Night.”
This is clearly Demi’s way of announcing her new relationship to the world…
… and we could not be happier for her!
We were among the many outlets concerned about Lovato after she and Wilmer Valderrama ended their six-year long romance back in the spring.
We were stunned. We thought they’d get married for certain.
And, even though they claimed it was a mutual breakup, we also assumed Valderrama was the one behind the split.
We can’t say that for certain, but we can now say that Lovato has moved on.
“Demi is hanging out with Luke. It’s pretty new and fun at this point. She likes being around him,” a source told E! News.
“She just got out of a serious relationship [with Wilmer Valderrama] so she is not looking for something that serious but if something evolves naturally over time she is willing to go with it and explore it.”
Nick Jonas, meanwhile, has also a seat for this UFC pay-per-view, right alongside Demi and her new man!
Adds the E! News insider of Lovato;
“She thinks Luke is a cool dude and he makes her smile. She is the kind of girl that takes [things] day by day and just lives in the moment.”
That’s one of the many things we adore about Lovato.
She keeps it real. She’s honest and open about her issues. She really does have talent. And she’s very pretty. Her heart always seems to be in the right place.
You better treat her right, Luke.
Granted, you would destroy us in a fight. But still. We want what’s best for Lovato and we hope you do, too.

Luke Rockhold and Demi Lovato: Totes Dating!
In celebration of Demi Lovato’s birthday last week, we listed all the reasons why we adore the singer.
Now, according to a new report, Luke Rockhold could come up with his own similar rundown.
Why? Because the professional fighter is allegedly getting it on with the beloved singer!
Rockhold is somewhat of a legend in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
He’s a former UFC Middleweight Champion, who won that belt in December by taking down then-undefeated champion Chris Weidman via a technical knockout.
An avid skateboarder and surfer, Rockhold is ranked the as the number-one middleweight and number-three official pound-for-pound fighter by the UFC and other publications, such as Fight Matrix and Sherdog.
The guy can seriously mixed it up in the ring.
What about in the bedroom?
TMZ claims Lovato would know because the two have actually been dating under the radar for several weeks now.
The 24-year-old singer supposedly met the 31-year-old fighter earlier this year while training at Unbreakable gym in Los Angeles.
Demi had previously been linked with another MMA brawler, Guilherme Vasconcelos, who sources claimed in mid-July she also met at this same gym.
This means Lovato has either been very busy or the initial report was mistaken.
We’re guessing it should have listed Rockhold as her new man at the time.
Just how serious is this new relationship?
Remember when Lovato showed off what appeared to be a new tattoo on her pinky finger this month? A simple, cute little smiley face?
She flashed a photo of it on Instagram, but we’ve now discovered that she did so in response to Rockhold.

Not exactly what you’d expect from someone who makes a living beating the crap out of other people?
We guess Lovato can bring out the softie in nearly anyone.
Remember, Wilmer Valderrama was known as quite the ladies man in Hollywood before he met Lovato and settled down with her for six years.
The couple shocked and depressed us when they ended their relationship a couple months ago, but we’re just happy as long as Lovato is happy.
And she sure does look happy these days, doesn’t she?
Lovato is currently touring the globe with Nick Jonas.
Asked by The Calgary Herald about making the transition from Disney darling to worldwide celebrity, Lovato said:
“For me, the transition was a little bit easier because I didn’t have to do anything to break out of the Disney mold. It’s a lot easier when you just go to rehab.
“So, I kind of grew up really fast in the public eye in that way and so when it was time to release my music, I think people looked at me differently.
“I wanted to prove to people that I wasn’t just a stereotypical Hollywood starlet that goes to rehab and falls back into the trap of the things that got her there.
“I wanted to make sure that the music that I made was great and that I was passionate about the music that I put out and I sang my heart out.”

This footage is awesome … Luke teamed up with an electronics warranty company called SquareTrade to show that iPhones may be tough … but they stand no chance in a fight with an MMA badass.
Check out the clip … Luke executes a death blow to SIRI using a brutal spin kick — and then snaps the phone’s neck like a chicken bone.
