Dennis Shields: Final Words Shed Light on His Tragic Death
Just a week ago, Dennis Shields was found dead in his Trump Tower apartment.
Though the ex-boyfriend of Betheny Frankel’s cause of death has yet to be officially declared in an autopsy report, we now know his final words.
And his final statement may shed a lot of light on what preceded his unfortunate passing.
TMZ reports that Dennis Shields was able to speak a few words to EMTs who arrived and attempted to save his life.
Sources say that, in those final moments, he told paramedics and police that he had taken his prescribed oxycodone and Vicodin and a sleeping pill.
His intention, he revealed at the time, was to address the pain from his back injury.
Though his assistant had already administered Narcan before emergency responders arrived, everyone’s best efforts were unable to save him.
That combo of drugs turned out to be tragically lethal.
As TMZ notes, that combination of drugs can be dangerous and even potentially deadly.
Doctors and other medical experts strongly advise against mixing opioids with sleeping pills or any type of sedative.
Taking these medications in what are individually safe amounts can become unsafe, due to interactions between the powerful medications.
Had this been a simple overdose of oxycodone, perhaps the three doses of Narcan — two from his assistant and one from EMTs — that Shields received would have been able to save him.
This is so heartbreaking.
TMZ‘s law enforcement sources report that they did find prescription pill bottles scattered throughout his house.
They did not find any ilicit substances or drug paraphernalia which might be associated with them.
If you are overdosing or experiencing another medical crisis, it is always adviseable to be honest with the people who are trying to save your life.
The “pill bottles scattered everywhere” image might seem suspicious for some, but it’s not uncommon for folks to accidentally hold on to their empty prescription bottles.
(They may cling to them as a reference, or forget that they have them, or decide that they want to remove the label for privacy before recycling them)
Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of New York City star and Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel broke her silence on Shields’ death.
Though they were not dating at the time of his passing, they have had an on-again, off-again relationship for ages.
Bethenny is mourning his passing. At his funeral, she broke down in tears.
On Instagram, she shared a throwback photo of him and her late dog, Cookie, back-to-back.
Both Shields and Cookie have since passed.
“Rest In Peace,” Bethenny captioned the image. “My sweet babies who gave me endless unconditional love.”
It is important to stress that the medical examiner’s office has yet to announce an official cause of death for Dennis Shields.
It is always possible that the dangerous combination of drugs that he took in a desperate attempt to quell his back pain were not the cause, or not the sole cause.
The medical examiner is likely waiting for the results of a toxicology report. Those can take time, especially when investigators are checking for every possibility.
We hope that Shields’ loved ones, including his four children, can find peace and closure after this tragic loss.

Kate Middleton and Prince William Christen Louis, Light Up London
Kate Middleton has taken a break from trash-talking Meghan Markle to focus on what’s really important:
Family.
The Duchess of Cambridge arrived on Monday at the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace in London alongside Prince William and her three precious children in order to Christen the youngest of these children.
Indeed, it was quite a big day for 11-week old Louis, who was accompanied for this major occasion by his four-year old brother, George, and three-year old sister, Charlotte.
This was actually the first time all five members of this beloved immediate family were photographed in the same place.
Middleton, as we’ve come to expect at all times, looked elegant and gorgeous in a cream suit dress from Alexander McQueen (her wedding dress designer) and a matching headpiece from Jane Taylor.

Louis was born on April 19 and, within hours, Middleton was all dressed and made up and debuting her child for the public.
Since then, the global icon was spotted at the annual Trooping the Colour even on June 9; and a day later, she and her two older kids were on the sidelines of Prince William’s polo match.
That’s been about it for Kate Middleton appearances since she became a mother for the third time.
We’re obviously not blaming her or judging her here. She has a newborn at home!
Following in the adorable footsteps of his siblings, Louis’ service was conducted this morning by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who christened George in October 2013 and Charlotte in July 2015…
… and most recently officiated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.
(That Royal World really is a small one, isn’t it?)
Charlotte, meanwhile, was Christened at Sandringham’s St. Mary Magdalene church in Norfolk, which is also where her late grandmother Princess Diana was Christened.
As for George?
His ceremony was held at St. James’s Palace‘s Chapel Royal.
For those wondering, Kate and William selected two hymns for this big event:
O Jesus, I Have Promised and Lord of All Hopefulness.
Moreover, Godparents Lucy Middleton and Guy Pelly each did a reading.
And, as if all this wasn’t exciting enough, Pippa Middleton was on hand for her nephew’s special day.
She attended alongside husband James Matthews, and with a baby in her womb.
How exciting, right?!?
We can’t make out a bump just yet, but Pipppa can be assured that the paparazzi will be looking closely for many weeks to come.
She can also turn to her sister any time she needs advice, especially considering what Kate recently said about parenting.
“Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life,” Middleton wrote in a letter for Children’s Hospice Week, adding:
“It is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”

Tori Roloff Makes Social Media Vow: Let Me Be Your Light!
Tori Roloff is not here for the hate.
The Little People, Big World star is a frequent poster on Instagram, but she never takes off her clothing.
She never hurls shade at anyone. She doesn’t really express controversial opinions of any kind, really.
So, how does she have over 662,000 followers?
Because Tori brings a positivity to the platform that, unfortunately, is rarely seen online these days.
As the mother of one explains in a new Instagram caption (for the photo above), she just wants to appreciate every moment of her amazing life and to express constant gratitude and hope with each entry.
“I feel like I just need to put this out there,” Tori said to open her post, adding:
“I am so blessed by the gift I’ve been given of having a platform on social media to share love acceptance and kindness with so many people.
“I so never imagined my life going in this direction and I thank God every single day that he has shown me how to love greater than I ever thought possible.”
How refreshing, right?
A celebrity who does not take her status for granted in any way, shape or form.
Sounding a bit like sister-in-law Audrey Roloff, Tori goes on to cite her faith and religion and to use it to explain her philosophy on social media.
And in life, really.
“I am just a normal woman,” Tori says.
“There’s nothing extraordinary about me. I live my life the way i believe God wants me to and I just try to be a good person. I am so thankful I can share my story with my followers and I pray that my social media is a place to bring light into someone else’s life.
“That being said I see how social media can quickly become such a dark and scary place. I don’t want that here.”
Tori married Zach Roloff on July 25, 2015.
They welcomed a son named Jackson into the world on May 10, 2017.

Tori really does walk this walk, too, she doesn’t merely talk the talk.

In conclusion, Tori plans to savor every day she wakes up and realizes this life is not a dream.
She simply married the man she loved and that has led to all of this incredible success, on both the television small screen and the computer small screen.
“My goal here is to continue to make people laugh and show everyone I’m just a normal girl who got thrown into extraordinary circumstances and you better believe I’m not going to waste a damn moment.”
We love it.
We just disagree with one thing:
Having this attitude does make Tori Roloff extraordinary. It’s a lesson every on the planet would be wise to follow.

Kevin Spacey to Seek Vague "Treatment" in Light of Sexual Misconduct Allegations
Kevin Spacey has allegedly admitted he needs help.
It’s just unclear what kind of help.
In the wake of multiple accusations of sexual harassment and/or misconduct against him, the two-time Oscar winner has agreed to talk to a professional…
… about something.
“Kevin Spacey is taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment,” a representative for the actor said in a statement on Wednesday night, mysteriously adding:
“No other information will be available at this time.”
Just a few days ago, Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of trying to force himself on Rapp sexually back in 1986 when Rapp was only 14 years old.
The actor – who currently stars on Star Trek: Discovery – said he finally came out with this admission because he was inspired by other victims of sexual assault.
Over the past few weeks, an endless array of men and women have been speaking up in light of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
“I came forward with my story, standing on the shoulders of the many courageous women and men who have been speaking out, to shine a light and hopefully make a difference, as they have done for me,” Rapp explained to People Magazine.
After this scandalous story went viral, Spacey didn’t deny Rapp’s charges.
He issued a lengthy statement that served as both a mea culpa and a coming out; Spacey said he’s gay in the statement.
“I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor,” Spacey wrote, expounding as follows:
“I am beyond horrified to hear his story. I honestly do not remember the encounter as it would have been over 30 years ago.
“But if I did behave then as he describes I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior and I am sorry for the feelings he described having carried with him all these years.”
Inviting more controversy and scorn, he then added:
“This story has encouraged me to address other things in my life…
“I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.”
As you can see above, Spacey has been harshly criticized for adding this second part about his personal life.
Most people have interpreted it as Spacey’s attempt to distract from the allegations against him, while they’ve simultaneously wondered:
So what? What does being gay have to do with any of this right now?
On a professional level, the actor also learned that he will not receive the International Emmy Award in light of the sexual misconduct allegations.
Moreover, Netflix at first announced House of Cards will end after six seasons.
And then announced production has been suspended.
Meanwhile, actor Roberto Cavazos came forward on Tuesday and brought up his own alleged experience fending off Spacey, claiming the Nstar’s inappropriate behavior toward younger actors was “common” practice during his 12-year-run as artistic director at The Old Vic Theatre.
So now Spacey is seeking “treatment.” What kind of treatment?
No one knows.
This seems like another attempt to distract and deflect by Spacey.
After all, what sort of treatment is there for simply being a pompous creep?

Michael Bublé: Sister Shares Inspiring Instagram Post in Light of Nephew"s Cancer Diagnosis
As previously reported, tragedy has struck Michael Buble and his family.
The singer confirmed via statement last week that his three-year old son, Noah, has been diagnosed with cancer.
The statement was posted on his wife’s Facebook page and it read as follows…
“We are devastated by the recent cancer diagnosis of our eldest son Noah who is currently in treatment in the United States.
“We’ve always talked a lot about the importance of the family and the love we have for our children.
“[My wife] and I are going to spend all our time and attention to help Noah to get better, by suspending our professional activities for now.
“During this difficult time, we ask that you pray for him and please respect our privacy.
“We have a long road ahead of us and we hope that with the support of our family, friends, fans around the world and our faith in God, we can win this battle.”
Buble and his wife are also parents to a baby boy named Elias.
A few days after this awful news was made public, Noah’s aunt and Michael’s sister, Brandee Bublé, has shared some inspiring words on Instagram.
Brandee took to her social media account and posted a picture of a chalkboard.
On the chalkboard was written a biblical quote from 1 Corinthians 13:13. It reads:
“And now these three remain: faith, hope, & love. But the greatest of these is love.”
“And we’ve got a lot … ” the children’s book author captioned the inspiring message, adding a heart emoji.
Shannen Doherty, who is in the middle of her own breast cancer battle, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Noah’s diagnosis
She confessed that she “can’t even begin to touch” on how the family is feeling, considering Noah’s young age, she was speaking from experience when she said:
“Just trust in your doctors. Make sure you have amazing doctors, a great team and know that organizations like the American Cancer Society, Stand Up to Cancer, they are doing so much good for cancer.
“And [there is] so much research that we have much better chances now. Stay positive. That positivity, that outlook on life that you can get through something, it actually does get you through.”
We send our prayers to the Buble family and we hope they know our thoughts are with them.
As demonstrated above and also around the nation, people most certainly do overcome cancer.
We hope Noah Buble can be added to this list.
