Simone Biles to Dancing with the Stars Judges: Don"t Tell Me to Smile!
It’s official:
Simone Biles isn’t just a world champion gymnast.
She’s also a world champion comeback generator.
On Dancing with the Stars last night, Biles advanced to this season’s semifinals on the heels of a solid Foxtrot and a strong Paso doble.
But the former Olympian didn’t totally win over the judges with these routines, as Carrie Ann Inaba took Biles to task less for her dancing skills and more for her lack of emotion.
“Your skills are unquestionable,” Inaba said, prior to getting into the crux of her critique:
“You hit every line with precision and perfection. But once again, I’m going to come back to performance and authenticity about who you are when you perform…
“You have this beautiful smile and you are a megastar with your energy, but once in a while, there’s beauty without a smile.
“There’s beauty in pain and all of the other emotions, and I’d like to see more of that.”
Julianne Hough agreed with her fellow panelist.
“I don’t know if the smile is authentic because you want to smile, or if it’s just because you rehearsed it that way,” she told Biles.
“I really just want to see some rawness come out.”
This is, of course, completely ridiculous. And also a bit sexist.
Can you imagine any judge telling a male contestant to smile more naturally?
Fortunately, Biles had the perfect response to this odd and unfair criticism.
“I’ve lived in a gym 14 years of my life, so it’s hard to show something I’ve never felt before,” she said at first, offering up a valid excuse for why she isn’t a natural on the dance floor.
But after remaining stoic upon hearing positive reviews after her second performance, and then being asked by Tom Bergeron why she still wasn’t smiling, Biles responded:
Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.
BAM!
And Biles would know.
This amazing comeback earned the athlete quite a bit of praise and admiration across social media.
And then there was this:
Following the episode, Biles and her partner Sasha Farber spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the struggle she’s had to connect with the judges this season.
“I feel like everyone has their own opinion, clearly, and I feel it’s just how you take it,” Biles said, adding:
“I feel like I am trying, I am being honest, but if they don’t see that, I don’t know what more I can do.”
An intense competitor, Biles is accustomed to simply getting the job done; not concerning herself with what sort of emotions are displayed on her face.
“You don’t know which wild card of sexy or of happy they want to bring, and you almost have to read their minds and find it,” she told ET last night, concluding that she nearly broke down on live television.
“I had tears in my eyes. I almost ran to the bathroom at one point, but I pulled it together.”
You go, Simone Biles!
If we have it our way, this impressive young woman will win the entire thing this season…
… and then accept the Mirrorball Trophy without even the faintest hint of a smile.

Khloe Kardashian Makes Dream Kardashian Smile: See The Pics!
It would be a huge understatement to say that Khloe and Rob Kardashian have had their fair share of feuds.
The pair have been known to bicker about pretty much anything.
Fortunately, it seems like the arrival of Rob’s first child has helped them actually act like family to each other.
Bringing a child into the world when there’s a lot of conflict with family members is just cruel.
The Kardashian klan are notorious for taking over the headlines, but at least this time it’s showing that they can actually function together as a family.
Khloe took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off a picture of herself and Dream.
In the picture, both of them can be seen smiling.
Kylie Jenner was present in the picture and it looked like Dream was laughing at Kylie’s lips. Maybe the kid was thinking to herself, “They ain’t real.”
Already, Dream seems like a great addition to the family. It’s just sad that the kid will probably witness her parents bickering for much of her life.
There’s just no telling when Rob and Chyna are going to call it quits for good. It definitely feels like something that’s on the horizon.
If you recall, their most recent split up was in December and Rob took to Instagram to reveal that Chyna felt the need to take everything and ditch him.
As much as they tried to refute claims that it was a publicity stunt, the proof was definitely in the pudding.
Their tacky reality show had just been renewed, so it would have constructed a perfect little narrative for the few fans who still think the franchise is real.
Back to Khloe. There has been a lot of rumors recently that she is expecting a little child of her own with Tristan Thompson, but nothing has materialized as of yet.
There’s also word that their relationship could be on the rocks, but there’s been no confirmation of that.
Maybe Khloe is ready to take Lamar Odom back, or something.
Kidding aside, we hope things are going great between Khloe and Tristan, but she’s stopped sharing snaps of the pair on Instagram, so that could be a red flag.
There’s also the very real possibility that Khloe just wants to use Instagram to promote Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian and share pictures of babies.
Maybe that’s a subtle hint to Tristan that she wants a bun in her oven.

Rob Kardashian is a father.
For long-time celebrity gossip followers, this remains a difficult fact to comprehend. Also: a frightening one.
This is someone who has had trouble taking care of himself, after all, and now he"s been tasked with taking care of a tiny human being. It"s a daunting task for even the most level-headed person out there.
But it"s all real now, as Blac Chyna gave birth to a girl named Dream Kardashian in November.
The new parents seem totally and completely in love with their child, based on their non-stop posts, photos and messages on social media.

In the sneak peek below, we get a look at the couple"s baby shower, as well as a birthday party for Chyna"s four-year old son, King Cairo, and some drama between Chyna"s mom and Kris Jenner.
In the 15-second clip however, we also see Chyna lying in her hospital bed after giving birth as smiles down at his fiancée.
In the background, you can hear Kris yell out “there’s daddy!” above baby Dream’s cries.

Only Snow White Can Make This Autistic Boy Smile
It’s easy to become a cynic when you work in the world of celebrity gossip.
So we"d just like to take a moment and give thanks to a two-year old boy named Jackson.
The son of photographer Amanda Coley, this infant has a form of Autism that causes him to be non-verbal and to be very shy around strangers.
Most strangers, that is.
But not one stranger in particular.
Coley captured footage of Jackson meeting Snow White during a family trip to Walt Disney World in Florida and the video has gone viral due to the child"s amazing reaction to this iconic princess.
Unable to stop smiling while in the presence of this character, Jackson even rests his head on her lap at one point.
It"s enough to turn even the hardest cynic into a giant bowl of mush.
“If he thinks I am leaving him with those strangers he will get very upset and cry,” Coley told The Huffington Post of Jackson, adding of her son:
“Most times he just ignores them and runs away.”
Jackson had a similar reaction to other Disney characters at the park… but not to Snow White.
“He was so at ease. We had never witnessed this before … I missed several photos because my eyes were full of tears,” Coley says.
“It was so amazing to have him react in this way to somebody and to see him smile and gaze at her. I have never seen him do this to anyone outside of his brothers, his dad and myself.”
And you can see here how the woman portraying Snow White understood, at some level, just how special this experience actually was for the child.
“She has no idea how much that actually meant to us that she engaged in that way,” Amanda told the Orlando Sentinel.
“It was like she just had that sense that [Jackson] needed that.”

Dwayne Johnson Birthday Tribute: That Smile! That Daughter! Those Biceps!
One of the most popular celebrities in Hollywood celebrates a birthday today.

The man who rose to stardom as The Rock in the WWE has done more than stack up one pancake after another on his plate every morning.
(Seriously, how awesome is that photo above?!?)
He’s also stacked up a number of hits at the box office, essentially taking over for Arnold Schwarzenegger as the most reliable action star on the planet.
But while Schwarzenegger ran California into debt as Governor and then ran his penis up his housekeeper as a really terrible husband, Johnson has done nothing of the sort.
This is a star who recently stopped production on a movie version of Baywatch for the best reason ever.

North West Meets Santa Claus, Makes Kanye Smile
North West has achieved the impossible, folks.
On two fronts.
First, the adorable two-year old has managed to make her grumpy father smile, as not even Kanye West could withhold a grin upon holding his daughter when she met Santa Claus last week.
Just look at the rapper’s face in the adorable photo above.
It was recently shared by Kim Kardashian on her official app/website.
Secondly, North has given editors at The Hollywood Gossip nothing at all to mock about this famous family.
We aren’t exactly fans of Kim Kardashian and kompany, but what is there to negatively say about a toddler’s satisfied face upon being presented with Saint Nick himself?
The image comes to us from Kris Jenner’s Christmas Eve party, which also included our first look at Kardashian following the birth of her second child, Saint West.
We’re still waiting on photos of Saint himself, with various reports claiming Kim and Kanye have been offered A LOT OF MONEY to make the baby public.
They are yet to accept, however.
When it came to North, Kanye actually revealed her very first photo when he appeared on Kris Jenner’s talk show as a guest.
That (ridiculous) talk show no longer exists, so it remains a mystery when we’ll catch our initial glimpse at Saint West.
In the meantime, North remains adorable. This statement cannot be debated.
