Vince Vaughn Arrested for DUI: Get the Details
Vince Vaughn has not made us laugh via a film role for many years.
Similarly, the actor was involved in a rather unfunny situation late Saturday night/early Sunday morning in Manhattan Beach, California.
TMZ is the celebrity gossip website that broke this news and which has provided us with most of the following details.
According to local law enforcement officials, Vaughn and an unnamed passenger were stopped at a checkpoint around 12:30 a.m. local time and asked to step out of their vehicle.
Police tell the aforementioned outlet that both men were uncooperative, even refusing to actually leave the car after being asked to do so at first.
Once they finally abided by this request, Vaughn was arrested around 1 a.m. and booked and cited for misdemeanor DUI, as well as obstructing a police officer.
His passenger was booked for obstruction and public intoxication.
Vaughn remained in custody for at least three hours, a source confirms.
He has subsequently been released on an unspecific amount of bail.
If Vaughn is formally chargedm this will be his first drunk driving arrest.
Announced authorities on Facebook of the checkpoint, which was in place from Saturday at 8 p.m. to Sunday at 3 a.m.
“The intent of the checkpoint is to encourage sober designated drivers.
By publicizing these educational and enforcement efforts, the Manhattan Beach Police Department believes that drinking and driving and driving while unlicensed will be reduced.
The department continued via this online explanation:
Our ‘Zero Tolerance’ approach to enforcement sends a clear message to those who still don’t heed the warning to designate a sober driver before celebrations begin.
Simply put, ‘If you are over the legal limit, you will be arrested.
No matter your celebrity status, apparently.
The 48-year-old actor is best known for his roles in comedies such as Swings, Dodgeball and Wedding Crashers.
However, of late, he has landed more dramatic roles on the big screen and the small screen, such as starring as drill sergeant in the Oscar-winning Hacksaw Ridge and as a villain in True Detective Season 2.
Vaughn also had a run-in with the cops in 2001 when he was arrested after a bar brawl in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Actor Steve Buscemi was also stabbed in that incident.
An assault charge against Vaughn at the time was eventually dropped.

Tamar Braxton Opens Up on The View: WTH Happened with Vince?
Tamar Braxton kept it real this week on The View.
The former talk show host and recording artist took the unusual step of serving as a guest panelist on the program, touching not only on her failed marriage in the process…
… but doing it with her estranged husband sitting right along side her!
As a quick refresher, Braxton and Vince Hebert called it quits in October after nine years as husband and wife.
About two months later, rumors surfaced that Hebert has knocked up his mistress, something Braxton herself appeared to cite on Instagram when she said Hebert was "having a baby" with his "whore."
Pretty hard to misinterpret that, right?
Except that Tamar said on The View that this wasn"t the case.
"In this situation, I absolutely have no reason to lie about my marriage for ratings," she told her fellow hosts early on, adding:
"I think that"s disgusting and I would never sell my soul to the devil like that."
Well, okay.
But what about that "a bun in the oven of some other woman," as Joy Behar asked Vince himself.
"Absolutely not," he replied.
"And all the other allegations are not true, I"m just not that kind of person. I love this lady with all my heart. I will never stop fighting with my family and make it great."
Then… what about everything Braxton wrote on social media (below)?
What the heck was that about?!?
"Let me just address the meltdown," she replied, expounding as follows:
"That was my fault that I put myself in a position where I opened up the floor for people to give their opinions on my marriage and I have to take responsibility for that.
"I do air my dirty laundry, however I"ve never been that specific. I should have been specific enough to say this is what my so-called friends were saying."

Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert Divorce: What Led to This Stunning Split?!?
With fans still reeling over news that Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert are headed for a divorce, we may now have an answer to the question on everyone’s minds:
WHY?!?
What happened that led to the demise of this nine-year long marriage?
According to TMZ, the real problems started, ironically, after Braxton was fired from The Real.
As previously reported, the singer was let go from this The View wannabe because she was “stabbed in the back.”
That’s what Braxton actually wrote on Twitter:
I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters). I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…
But as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.
So, no, tension did not build up between Tamar and Vince because the latter wronged her in some way when it came to her role on The Real.
However, Braxton allegedly fell into a deep depression after she lost this job, sources claim to TMZ.
As has also been reported in the past, Braxton and Herbert had their issues over the years, with there even being talk last August of a domestic dispute between the couple.
So the relationship wasn’t exactly on firm ground when Braxton got fired.
Insiders claim she actually moved out of the home she had been sharing with her husband three months ago because she was in need of a break and thought maybe the separation would actually save the marriage.
Alas, it failed to do so.
As for why Braxton and Herbert having been acting so lovey dovey despite their faltering marriage?
They’ve simply been trying to promote the upcoming season of their reality show.
That’s right, a new season of Tamar & Vince premieres on November 9 on WEtv.
Should be pretty interesting, huh?
TMZ concludes that Braxton has moved into a high-rise apartment building in Beverly Hills that rents for about $ 15,000 per month.
It has an indoor 75-foot lap pool… an outdoor pool… five gyms… a spa… a restaurant with a free bar… and a screening room.
She may be lacking for love these days, but not for money, apparently.
Howard has also been serving as Braxton’s manager for years and it’s unclear how this divorce will affect the pair’s working relationship.

Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert: It"s Over!
Tamar Braxton and Vince Herbert have sadly called it quits.
The singer and her husband of nine years have confirmed that their marriage is over, as a rep for Braxton just released the following statement:
“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert.
“Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time.
“She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers.”
According to TMZ, Braxton filed for divorce in Los Angeles Country this week, just one month prior to the couple’s official nine-year anniversary.
Before news of this split was made public, the arrist posted a cryptic message on Instagram, which read as follows:
“Dear God… I’m ready.”
While there were rumblings last year of marital trouble for these stars, Braxton did share the photo above this past Father’s Day.
She wrote along with it:
Vince, thank you for being the best father in the world to our Logan. I couldn’t have chosen a better Dad for him. We love you! Happy Father’s Day!
In March of 2016, however, Braxton posted a cryptic message about relationships and also shared a pic of her NOT wearing her wedding ring.
This is what it said:
The following July, after more rumors were circulated around the Internet, Tamar took to social media to post a video of her smiling and singing Mariah Carey’s 1995 ballad “Always Be My Baby” into her husband’s ear.
“After all these years he STILL hates when I sing in his ear #Tamar&Vince,” she wrote along with the footage.
So she tried to put on a positive front at least.
However, in August of last year, TMZ reported that Braxton and Herbert got into a domestic dispute at an Atlanta hotel, during which he reportedly bit her hand.
Yikes, right?!?
No arrests were made and no ambulance was called to the scene.
The two were seen walking and holding hands at an airport the following day and did not comment on the report and Braxton said this to paparazzi members who asked about her romance:
“Just because somebody says something does not make it law and I’m not gonna defend my relationship to anybody. Ever. This is a marriage.
“This is not a baby daddy, this not my boyfriend. We don’t live together. This my husband for 13 years so everybody else, have several seats.”

News of Braxton and Herbert’s divorce arrives two weeks before the November 9 premiere of the final season of their WE tv reality show Tamar and Vince, which is a spinoff of Braxton Family Values.
It will be interesting to see whether ratings go up or down based on this development.
