Jessica Jones Trailer: Is It Marvel-ous?

Buckle up, Netflix users. It"s nearly time to enter the Marvel universe once again.

But while popular big screen fare such as The Avengers may combine action with light-hearted characters, the first trailer for Marvel"s Jessica Jones makes it clear that the upcoming series is haunting, terrifying and very dark.

It also looks absolutely terrific.

Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter in the beloved title role, a former superhero whose clash with a villain named Kilgrave came to a tragic end.

As a result, she"s left to pick up the pieces of her life as a detective in New York City.

That is, until Kilgrave returns and begins to once again stalk his previous prey.

Along with Ritter, the series – which starts streaming on Netflix on November 20 at 12:01 a.m. EST – stars David Tennant as Kilgrave, along with Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty and Wil Traval.

It is the follow-up to the well-reviewed Daredevil and the precursor to two more Marvel-based dramas on the way from Netflix: Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

After those air, Netflix will take all four main characters and delivers to fans The Defenders.

But we"re getting ahead of ourselves.

Katy Perry and Hillary Clinton: Still Total Besties!

Sure, Taylor Swift’s squad is a force to be reckoned with, but rival Katy Perry has an ally so powerful she makes Karlie Kloss look like…well, like someone who really wouldn’t be that famous if she weren’t friends with Taylor Swift.

Yes, as you may have heard, Katy Perry and Hillary Clinton are pretty tight. In fact, they’re so close that Katy was on Hillary’s mind during yesterday’s Benghazi hearing:

The event that Clinton is referring to is an upcoming Iowa fundraiser that will basically double as Katy’s birthday party.

Perry turns 31 on Saturday, and instead of throwing a $ 4 million banger in Morocco like she did last year, Katy will be doing some slightly more chill (and much more politically-charged) celebrating at a Clinton campaign event.

“I went so cray last year, it’s time to tone it down and not make it so much about me,” Katy recently told The Hollywood Reporter.

She also tweeted about Clinton’s deft handling of yesterday’s often-tense Benghazi session.

“Glad the witch hunt is coming to an end and we can refocus on the future of [America] I admire your unbreakable strength @HillaryClinton #YouABoss”

It’s cute that Katy thinks political with hunts ever come to an end. She must’ve just started paying attention to the news.

Anyway, we think it’s safe Rep. Trey Gowdy won’t be invited to the concert. He’s been a total d-bag lately.

The Vampire Diaries Episode Promo: A Night of Terror

It all seemed to be going so well for Damon Salvatore at the close of The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 3.

With the help of Bonnie and Alaric, he had successfully captured Oscar and then called Lily to offer a swap of one Heretic for one Elena-based coffin.

But then Valerie put a major dent in this plan by killing her quasi brother at the very end of the hour, afraid he would bring mortal enemy Julian back into her life.

So, where will this leave Damon on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4?

Scrambling to come up with a new plan, one that involves The Phoenix Stone and actually bringing Oscar back to life in order to pretend as if he never died.

There"s no way anything goes wrong with that idea, right? What"s that? No? We"re wrong? A lot is about to go wrong with that plan? Oh, our bad.

The following teaser speaks of a "Night of Terror," one that will find Caroline and Stefan attending a college dance and Damon desperately trying to make his hostage negotiation work.

There"s also a bus full of tourists who appear to be in for a lot more than they bargained for upon signing up for a Halloween-themed ride.

Chris Rock to Lamar Odom: Nice Use of Coke and Hookers!

If the following is an example of the kind of jokes Chris Rock will tell as host of the 2016 Academy Awards, we’re in for quite the controversial ceremony.

In light of the Lamar Odom health scare and scandal last week, the comedian jumped on Twitter Thursday evening and shared the following photo:

LOL? Or… what the Hell, dude?

A quick bit of background for anyone out of the loop:

Odom spent multiple days partying at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch in Nevada, using cocaine and an herbal sexual stimulant before falling unconscious on Tuesday, October 13.

He was rushed to the hospital and remained in a coma, with sources saying Odom’s prognosis was so grim that he barely had a 50% chance of survival.

Estranged wife Khloe Kardashian remained by Odom’s side throughout this ordeal, making medical decisions on the star’s behalf before he awoke over the weekend and even starting communicating with those around him.

Once Odom’s condition improved, Khloe’s attorney actually went to a judge and asked to withdraw his client’s divorce papers.

Yup, Lamar and Khloe are giving their marriage another chance.

So that brings us back to Rock’s Twitter message.

Was it out of line, considering Odom just underwent two medical procedures and is still fighting for his life?

Or is it pretty hilarious, considering he’s sort of right: Within a week of going on a hardcore drug binge and sleeping with (legal) prostitutes, Odom managed to win back the woman of his dreams?
