Justin Bieber: Criticized By PETA For Controversial Photo

They say a picture’s worth a thousand words.

We don’t know if that’s true, but this photo of Justin Bieber chillin’ with a tiger is worth at least one WTF?! and two clear observations:

  1.  Justin finally cut his dreadlocks, so the world can now get back to making fun of everything else about him.

  2. That tiger doesn’t look too thrilled to be there.

Not surprisingly, PETA is focusing on the latter aspect of the pic, which was posted to Bieber’s Instagram page over the weekend.

Apparently, the tiger was one of the attractions at an engagement party for Bieber’s father, because if there are no jungle beasts, how will people know you’re serious about getting hitched?

Anyway, as you probably know, PETA is not big on wildlife being held captive for the amusement of rich D-bags, and they’ve taken to social media to express their thoughts on the Bieber Boys’ fondness for using endangered species as status symbols:

“Justin Bieber is lucky not to have had his throat torn out by this stressed captive tiger,” wrote PETA representative Lisa Lange in a statement posted online today.

“We know he (Bieber) is drawn to animals, but this is the very worst way to recognize this interest because exotic animals are usually torn away from their mothers prematurely, beaten into submission by trainers, are often doped up to be docile, and are deprived of everything that’s natural and important to them.”

Apparently the situation is particularly egregious as it’s believed that the tiger is owned by Michael Hackenbeger, a trainer for Hollywood movies, who is currently under investigation for animal cruelty.

“The tiger who appeared at the Bieber party is identical to Robbie, a Bowmanville Zoo tiger we know is used for encounters with the public and was used in The Interview,” reps claim, adding that Robbie is thought to be one of the animals Hackenberger abused.

The organization says it also sent a letter to Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, encouraging the pop idol to set a better example for his fans:

“To people with huge influence like Justin Bieber, our message is simple: tigers are wild animals, not entertainers,” PETA says.

“People posing with wildlife don’t realize that a ‘once in a lifetime’ photo for them means a lifetime of misery for the animal,” the group said in a statement.”

Sadly, this is not the first time Justin’s treatment of animals has been criticized.

In 2013 Bieber adopted a pet monkey, which he was forced to turn over to German authorities when he attempted to take it on tour.

Gwen Stefani Not Asked Back to The Voice; Christina Aguilera To Blame?

She’s wields lot of power, that Christina Aguilera.

Or so some tabloids would have you believe.

Even before she returned to The Voice, Aguilera reportedly had it out for Gwen Stefani, who fell in love with co-judge Blake Shelton during Aguilera’s hiatus.

When Aguilera returned to her red seat, Stefani came back as a mentor for Shelton’s team.

From there, the rumors about the two women feuding spun out of control.

And now, since Miley Cyrus is replacing Aguilera as a permanent judge, Stefani (again, reportedly) thinks that the “Fighter” singer had something to do with it.

“Gwen is livid that she was not asked to replace Christina on The Voice next season,” a source told Radar Online.

“And because of this she wants to quit the show altogether.”

Before this news broke, it was Shelton who resented Aguilera for coming back as a judge.

“Blake hates the fact that Gwen is no longer with him in the judges’ chairs this season,” a source from the set told Radar.

“Everyone knows this and he is taking it out on Christina, and they are not getting a long at all.”

The whole ordeal has turned into a hot mess, because now Shelton and Stefani are allegedly taking a stand again the show’s executives for the slight.

“She [Stefani] and Blake seem to feel that Christina was responsible for this because she wanted to piss Gwen off,” the source added.

“And it did!”

Gossip Cop, however, contacted Stefani’s rep, who refuted any claims that there is unrest on the set.

Any stories about Stefani quitting the show are “untrue.”

Michelle Duggar Recalls Rock-Bottom Moment, Credits God With Helping Her Raise Kids

This may come as a shock, but the Duggars are somewhat of a religious family.

And by that we mean if you watch Jill & Jessa: Counting On online for all of about four seconds, it’s a safe bet someone will talk about God.

But the Dugz don’t just preach when the cameras are rolling.

Some of their beliefs may be controversial, but there’s no denying these folks walk the walk when it comes to their beliefs.

Well, most of them, anyway. More on that later.

Anyway, on her blog this week, Michelle shared a story of her lowest point, which apparently took place at 1 am one morning about twelve years ago when she was feeling overwhelmed with the colossal load of housework that comes with raising a veritable army of kids:

“I cried aloud, ‘Lord, I need your help, I can’t do it all! I feel so inadequate! Diapers, dishes, laundry, meals, cleanup, school lessons, baths, hugs, kisses, correction,” Michelle wrote.

“Then it was as if a still small voice said, ‘Michelle, it’s easy to praise ME when things are going good, but are you willing to praise ME now?’ Immediately the scripture that says, ‘Offer up a sacrifice of praise,’ came to mind.”

“I said, “OK Lord, I will praise you even now! It really is a sacrifice!” So through the tears I began to sing, “The joy of the Lord is my strength”. In my heart there was a release as if a burden had been lifted. I finished the laundry at 2 AM and went to bed.”]

She goes on to say that the family’s piano teacher noticed her dozing off a few days later and asked if everything was okay.

Michelle confessed that she was exhausted, at which point the teacher revealed that she loves doing laundry (?!) and would be happy to help Michelle wash her kids’ clothes.

For 12 years now, our piano teacher, whom we consider a part of our family and loving call “NaNa” has faithfully come (now twice a week) to help us with laundry! GOD sent “An angel” in answer to my cry for help.

As we stated earlier, not all of the Duggars are firmly committed to the family ideals, and it’s a bit odd that Michelle didn’t cite the Josh Duggar sex scandals as her low point, but then again, we can see not wanting to get into that in what’s supposed to be an uplifting blog entry.

Some problems can’t be fixed by even the most devoted laundry angels.
