Katy Perry: Throwing Shade at Taylor Swift With New Perfume?!

Long before Kim Kardashian vs. Taylor Swift, the Queen of Bad Blood was embroiled in another bitter conflict with one of her A-list peers.

The Katy Perry-Taylor Swift feud was the one that first showed us that the cat-loving Ms. Swift has some claws of her own.

Rather than letting the media speculate that she and Katy were at odds, Taylor straight-up confirmed the rumors in song form with “Bad Blood.”

You might remember the video, in which Taylor and her squad basically sent the message that, like the Wu-Tang Clan, they ain’t nothin’ to f–k with.

The song’s chorus was likely stuck in your head for about six weeks last year, but in case you forgot the titular line went:

“‘Cause baby now we got bad/You know it used to be mad love.”

Taylor never explicitly confirmed that the line was meant to throw shade at Katy, but there’s basically no other way to interpret it.

So it’s hard to believe that the name of Katy’s new fragrance doesn’t qualify as return fire:

Yes, Mad Love.

Two words that mean an awful lot to Swifties and KatyCats alike.

Obviously, we’re not certain that Katy’s intention was to dredge up old beefs, but doing so in this fashion would certainly fir with her M.O.

Katy never dissed Taylor at the Super Bowl or publicly talked trash, despite having many, many opportunities to do so.

Instead she threw low-key shade while ostensibly taking the high road, and this seems to be the latest example of that strategy.

Something tells us Mad Love smells an awful lot like bad blood.

Kim Kardashian Slams Senate for Failed Gun Control Bills

For the second time in just over a week, we’re forced to say the following:

Kim Kardashian is right.

Shortly after the tragic Orlando shooting that claimed the lives of 49 people last week, Kardashian didn’t simply offer hollow thoughts or prayers.

She Tweeted an actual solid point, referencing the “Terror Gap” in the United States, a loophole that allows suspected terrorists on the FBI Watch List to purchase automatic weapons.

“We have repeatedly called on Congress to close this loophole that makes it easy for dangerous people to get guns & kill,” Kardashian wrote last week.

“Nothing has changed!!!! People continue to senselessly die. When will these gun laws be changed?!?!?!?!!!!?????”

Fast forward to Monday night and the Senate rejecting a quartet of legal measures, each of which would have made it more difficult for certain people to purchase guns in America.

Most of this proposed legislation centered on the extension of background checks… and no bill received the 60 votes it needed to pass.

This is how Kardashian responded to the failure of politicians to change anything about gun control in her country:

“So terrorists on fbi’s wanted lists can legally still buy guns. Oh & mentally ill people can buy guns without a background check too..

“The fact that anyone can so easily access guns is so scary & after all of the devastating loss the Senate should have not failed us!!!”

Kardashian also re-Tweeted a multitude of related messages, such as the list of which Senators voted for or against one of the measures.

There is also a list going around of how much money these Senators have received over the years from the National Rifle Association.

It may sound silly, but Kardashian could have actual influence on issues such as these.

She has over 74.5 million Instagram followers. She can get, like, half of them to purchase some kind of lipstick she likes.

Imagine what she could push them to do if she were to focus on topics that truly impacted the nation…

Jeremy Vuolo: Who Is Jinger Duggar"s New Man?

As we reported yesterday, Jinger Duggar is officially courting Jeremy Vuolo.

Duggar devotees know that the family regards courting as basically the step between dating and engagement.

More often than not, the courtship process results in marriage.

(Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson broke up after several months of courting, but that’s rare in Duggarland.)

Needless to say, a lot is riding on the courtship of Jinge and Jer, and lots of Duggar fans have questions about the man who might soon be raising a litter of younguns with the 22-year-old daughter on Michelle and Jim Bob.

So here’s what we know about the possible future member of the Duggar clan:

Jeremy is a 28-year-old professional soccer player and former minister.

A native of Philadelphia, Vuolo is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he played goalkeeper for the Orangemen.

After a season with the Finnish club AC Oulo, Vuolo returned to the States and signed with the New York Red Bulls in 2012.

Vuolo was released from the team after one season, and he announced on his social media accounts that he planned to focus on ministry full time.

In 2013, however, he signed with the San Antonio Scorpions.

He played one full season and part of a second season with the team, but he lost his spot on the roster in 2014.

Since then, Vuolo has focused on performing missionary work.

“My identity needs to be in something that’s never going to change, and that’s Jesus Christ,” Vuolo said shortly after leaving soccer behind.

Vuolo is a longtime friend of Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald, and they reportedly introduced him to Jinger sometime last year.

But it wasn’t until the two of them took a missionary trip in May that they really hit it off.

Yesterday, the couple made their courtship official with an announcement to People magazine.

Yes, he’s an evangelical former pro athlete whose first name starts with a “J.”

Sounds like wedding bells are in Jinger’s future.

Anton Yelchin Update: Did the Actor Suffer?

We have an update on the tragic death of Anton Yelchin.

As most likely know by now, the actor was killed in a horrible accident early Sunday morning.

He was leaving to meet his friends when he somehow got pinned between his car and a security fence on his property.

It appears as if the car (a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee) malfunctioned, rolling down Yelchin’s driveway and gravely injuring his head and chest upon impact.

An investigation is underway to determine whether the faulty vehicle ought to be recalled or not.

According to TMZ, meanwhile, Yelchin at least did not suffer during this fatal incident.

Investigators on the scene have determined that the actor, best known for his role in the new Star Trek franchise, passed away within one minute of impact between car and body.

Moreover, it does appear to have been a freak occurrence.

The 27-year-old actor had no history of drugs… and no prescription pills or alcohol of any kind was found in the vehicle.

Investigators have also determined Yelchin was not known to smoke marijuana.

One final note: there were apparently security cameras posted on the gate near where Yelchin was killed.

Authorities are reviewing these cameras and their tapes and may be able to actually call up footage of Yelchin’s death.

This would at least help us figure out what happened to the very unfortunate young man.

We continue to send our condolences to his friends, family members and loved ones.
