Son Asks for Cake That Features a Cow Giving Birth, Actually Gets It

Kids have a variety of interests.

Some are into trains. Some are into sports. Some love Sesame Street. Others can’t stop talking about Frozen.

Benz Packard, a resident of Saskatchewan, Canada, may be in an adorable and unique class by himself.

The four-year old celebrated a birthday this summer, asking his parents for an unusual cake in the process.

See, Benz likes to spend time at his aunt and uncle’s farm.

He helps milk cows there, he helps collect eggs, he hangs out with animals of all kinds.

So when mother Jamie Packard asked her son what kind of cake he would like for his birthday, he replied with what seemed like a very logical answer:

He wanted a cake that featured a cow giving birth.

No, really. This is what he asked for, as detailed (and pictured!) by Jamie in a Facebook post that has gone viral.

calf cake

“For the last couple of months, Benz has been asking for a “cow having a calf” cake for his birthday,” Jamie wrote in her post.

“We tried out best to persuade him [otherwise], in fact I overheard Tyler say to Ben, “a Thomas the Train cake would be cool… would you like Mom to make one for your birthday?”

What did Benz think of this suggestion?

I don’t even watch Thomas the Train, he said.

“We tried,” Jamie continued.

“So there I sat, Google imagining “Cow having a calf cake” and guest what, there were zero results, surprise, surprise!

“So as I’m moulding rice crispy squares into little hooves I’m thinking to myself, no Mother is ever really prepared for this kind of stuff.

“And as I’m applying cherry pie filling as afterbirth, I found myself thinking… Thank goodness it’s only family coming to this party!”

This is simply amazing.

It may be our favorite story ever.

It’s definitely our favorite story ever about a mother baking an unusual cake for her son.

Of all the cake recipes out there, this one, yes, takes the cake.

For other examples of cakes that have been WAY, WAY out there, scroll down and scroll all around the following photo gallery.

Incredibly, there’s more animal vagina in the children’s cake above than any of the dessert items below:

Jana Duggar: Jinger Loves Jeremy Vuolo So Hard!

Jinger Duggar’s family previously admitted her love for Jeremy Vuolo, but it’s clearer than ever how much the new romance is changing her.

Just ask her older sister, Jana Duggar.

On Counting On Season 3 Episode 2, during which Jinger and Jeremy’s courtship became official, several of the siblings went on a road trip.

Much to the chagrin of 22-year-old Jinger.

Sure, leaving their native Arkansas and hoofing it to Missouri for a survival class is standard fare when you watch Counting On online.

It’s just that her mind was elsewhere.

While Jinger was seen packing up and leaving with her brothers and sisters, Jana made it clear her sister wasn’t a big fan of the trip.

“Jinger is probably the main one that really is not wanting to go on this trip,” Jana said as Jinger was seen packing her favorite accessory.

That would be a pillow wrapped in Jeremy’s old soccer jersey; Vuolo is a former professional player who went on to become a minister.

If that’s not nauseatingly cute, we don’t know what is.

So sappy, in fact, that Joy-Anna Duggar said that Jinger’s courtship stage has topped Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald by a wide margin.

No wonder it was hard for her to not contact Jeremy on the trip to Missouri, where she openly fretted about her lack of cellular service.

“If we were to get there and find out there’s no cell phone reception,” Jinger said, she feels like she can’t live without seeing her man.

If only on FaceTime while they’re apart.

“I think that I would just have to figure out a way to send a smoke signal up or something. Have somebody come rescue us.”

Fortunately, she did get service, and Joy-Anna responded by telling her smitten sibling she could have one hour a day to talk to Jeremy.

You know. Chaperone rules and all that.

Speaking of the duo’s courtship guidelines, Jinger made it clear that not all new relationships are “cookie cutter” despite the family’s reputation.

Jinger and Jeremy are, as most fans are aware, already engaged … and possibly breaking courtship rules (or lack thereof) as we speak.

The couple has not yet set a wedding date, and no, despite reports, Jeremy did not get Jinger Duggar pregnant out of wedlock already.

Let’s just clear that much up right off the bat here.

She is planning to peace out of Arkansas and move down to Texas with her pastor beau pretty much the second they tie the knot, however.

Girl always was a rebel by Duggar standards.

Big Brother Recap: Another Crazy Speech

When you’re leaving the Big Brother house, you kind of want to leave on good terms with your fellow houseguests, but Michelle Meyer does not care for making friends.

We picked up after the veto ceremony. As you all know, Nicole chose to keep her nominations the same. Michelle was still the target, but she had a feeling Paul would be going home.

She didn’t feel the need to campaign to save herself. In a season with multiple pawns going home, you’d think she’d be wheeling and dealing for safety.

Sadly, she was a little too comfortable of her position in the house and decided against campaigning. Why the heck would you not campaign in the Big Brother house?

It’s mind boggling. Michelle obviously realized Paul was not campaigning, so she felt pretty safe about her odds of staying in the game.

Granted, Nicole could have done a better job of keeping James and Natalie in the loop about who she wanted gone.

Nicole was in a great position because she could get anyone she wanted out of the house due to the dwindling numbers.

Instead, she thought it would make more sense to reaffirm her commitment to The Final 4.

Corey using his bribe to make sure Victor was voting Michelle out seemed a bit much. If anything, it could have gave Victor second thoughts about the alliance.

Thankfully, he saw the bigger picture and took the bribe.

Meanwhile, Michelle’s meltdown continued as she opened up to Paul about not knowing what was going on with the eviction.

Paul lied to her and said he genuinely doesn’t know what’s going on. Natalie giggled away because she felt like they hadn’t been playing the game all week.

Maybe her, James and Michelle were not, but The Final Four have been conspiring about the next eviction all week.

We got to check in with Victor’s family, who were adamant their son would go further in the competition and that he won’t settle for second place.

He really is the comeback kid, but does he deserve three chances to win the money?

At the eviction, Paul’s speech was classy because he knew he was safe, but Michelle tried to be as controversial as possible.

There was a tie, with Nicole voting Michelle out, sending her to the jury house.

This paved the way for a huge argument, with Michelle calling out Victor and Nicole, before fleeing the house with Paul’s duck.

I was rooting for Michelle a few weeks ago, but the way she acted was deplorable. That was the least classiest exit in the entire 17 year run for the show.

She knew she was gone, so she wanted to be remembered. She’ll be remembered for all the wrong reasons and that’s her own fault.

Julie calling her out for not campaigning was great.

The HOH competition kicked off after Michelle was sent to jury, but the episode concluded before we got to see much of the competition.

Kate Gosselin: Destroyed By Fans For Abusing, Exploiting Collin!

Kate Gosselin says her troubled son, Collin, has been sent away from home to treat “special needs” … and fans are far from pleased.

Obviously, Collin’s personal situation has sparked debate and sympathy from the public, as no one likes to see an adolescent struggle.

The 41-year-old single mom’s conduct – past and present – has come under heavy scrutiny, however, as it pertains to the child.

Kate’s Instagram post promoting her People cover story, which featured all the kids but Collin, has quite the collection of harsh comments.

Followers have lashed out, accusing her of exploiting her 12-year-old son’s issues for her own personal gain – nothing new for Kate.

“Shame on you for being so desperate for attention that you disclose this information about your beautiful boy!” one fellow mom wrote.

“There is no low too low for you,” another opined.

“Colin,” the fan said, “deserves better from you.”

Damn, that’s rough, but after Kate admitted spanking Collin and being “too rough” on him in an attempt to deal with his personal issues?

Well, fans are even more pissed.

“I can’t help but think, one day Collin will read about himself on the Internet, and really think there’s something wrong with him,” says a fan.

Collin has reportedly been undergoing care for at least one month at a Philadelphia-area facility nearly two hours from the family home.

“[There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things,” she said.

“This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. I’ve felt very alone in this.”

“By the same token, it’s not something that has only impacted me or him … our entire family has been impacted [by this].”

Meanwhile, a source close to the children’s father, Jon Gosselin, says he’s furious at the reality star for taking their son’s problems public.

“Jon can’t believe that Kate is talking about this for the cover of a magazine,” the insider said. “Collin is just a kid, and deserves his privacy.”

Jon is also beside himself that his daughters called him a deadbeat in the interview, but that’s a whole different story for another time.

In any event, the abuse allegations against Kate are not new. See Robert Hoffman’s 2014 tell-all, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World.

According to the book, Kate acknowledged being “too rough” with Collin when he was as little as two years old and wouldn’t obey her.

“I feel so guilty that I treated him like that,” she wrote, of disciplining him harshly in 2006. “I will set out tomorrow to be a better mommy.”

In January 2007, when Collin knocked over a high chair and spilled a bag of beans, Kate wrote in her diary that she flew into a rage.

“I was instantly so SO angry, that I grabbed him and spanked him as hard as I could and thought I may seriously injure him,” she wrote.

“So I sent him to his crib til Jon came home!” she wrote. “I have never felt that I may seriously injure a child but today was that day!”

Kate says she noticed Collin’s temper, and observed that she did not like “that he doesn’t know how to handle his frustration and anger.”

Fast forward ten years, and here we are.

She’ll be dealing with the frustration and anger of the public the more she talks about it, and it’s hard to say the criticism isn’t warranted.

We just hope Collin is doing better.
