The Bachelor: Countdown To Nick Recap: Who HATES Nick Viall?

If you were looking for The Bachelor spoilers on ABC’s pre-season special, you were likely disappointed, but the network did succeed in hyping up the new season last night.

Nick Viall is the new bachelor and there’s going to be a whole lot of drama during his season of the ABC hit.

The dude is on to his fourth attempt at finding love on national TV, and not everyone is happy about his presence.

We kicked things off with a montage of the three women from the franchise Nick had fallen for over the years. As you probably know if you watch The Bachelorette online, all of his prior relationships never quite stood the test of time.

Things got pretty tense when the producers thought it was a good idea to send Nick to a booth in which fans lined up to give him a piece of their mind. Nick’s casting was met with a polarizing reception from fans of the show.

Most of the reaction stemmed from the way Nick had acted in previous seasons. There was very little positive reception and that will probably worry the producers of the series. Might this be the year the series craters in the ratings?

Time will tell.

If you thought that couples from the Bachelor franchise never really stood the test of time, then the producers certainly went all-out to prove that there were some successful pairings from the show out there.

Ashley and J.P Rosenbaum were first up and they were quick to point out that their life was great. Despite what some may think, there are some of these couples that are not only together for the cameras.

Desiree and Chris Siegfried are new parents and are loving every minute of it. Having kids is a huge step for any relationship, so they must be really in it for the long haul.

As you probably know if you watch Ben and Lauren online, the pair are still happily together, but they have yet to be married, with Ben worrying that they were both in the relationship for the right reasons.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are busy planning a wedding in Nashville and revealed that they are really ready to start thinking about starting a family.

Finally, Carly Waddell and Evan Bass are loving the new dynamics in their relationship. Carly revealed that she is very much enjoying playing step mother to Evan’s children.

It’s pretty great when you think that all of these couples became a thing because of the show, will Nick’s fourth and probably final attempt be the one that finds him a partner for life?

The episode concluded with scenes from the season ahead and it sure looks like viewers in for a treat. The most notable scene involved Nick crying, speculating whether his engagement was going to come to fruition.

Okay, ABC, we’re intrigued!

What did you think of the special?

Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 6 Recap: Another Catfishing Scandal?

The drama on Sister Wives has always been up there with some of the best on reality television, but Meri Brown’s catfishing scandal was one of the craziest developments on TV last year.

The drama continued on Sister Wives Season 7 Episode 6, with Meri struggling to move on in the aftermath of it, but why did Kody just want to move on from it?

He did not want the perpetrator to get any more ammunition to use against the family.

While that is definitely a good reason, Meri needed some closure and that closure came in the form of causing some more drama.

Meri decided that the best course of action would be to go meet up with a woman named Cheryl, who was targeted by the same person. She kept Kody in the dark about the whole thing until she booked her flight to Atlanta.

As you probably know if you watch Sister Wives online, Kody Brown does not like being blindsided, but there was really not much he could do about this one.

It’s not like Meri was going to get the money back from the flight ticket.

Robyn was very supportive of Meri.

She understood that Meri needed to close this chapter in her life and doing so would allow her to move on and not worry about it popping back up down the line.

When Meri met up with Cheryl, both women became instant friends.

That’s sort of what happens when you realize the same person who made your life hell, did the same to someone else.

In other words: they had much to discuss. Meri was very open about just how far Sam/Lindsey went to pull the wool over her eyes.

Meri revealed that Sam had lied about investing in the business and that she had given over some details about the family.

Meri then lifted the lid on the big road trip fiasco. She had went on a road trip with Lindsey because she had cancer.

Meri put all of the pieces of the puzzle together when she was in that car and there was much drama when Lindsey went crazy when Meri questioned her.

The psychotic person even went as far as saying that Meri’s phone and house had been bugged and that eher every move was being watched.

It genuinely sounded like the most horrible experience for anyone to go through.

It was clear that this whole meeting was a positive thing for Meri. Just being there, laughing about the person who had made her life hell made her realize that it was all in the past.

Meri’s next plan of action with Cheryl was to visit a therapist to understand the catfisher’s motivations for being so cruel to everyone.

The therapist was quick to point out that there’s no solid reason they were targeted.

In the end, Meri returned to Kody and the pair got talking about their life together. Things are actually looking up for them.

Elsewhere, with Maddie’s wedding out of the way, it was time for the family to start planning Mykelti’s. I mean, does this family ever stop planning weddings?

Christine was nervous at the prospect of Mykelti getting married.

She felt that things were moving along a little quickly and she was not quite ready to hand her daughter over to Tony.

Christine was also annoyed that the pair were making out in front of the younger siblings.

She felt like she needed time with Tony to lay some ground rules and to get to know him.

What did you think of all the drama?

Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez Welcome Baby Girl!!

Looks like congratulations are in order for Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars Joseline Hernandez and Stevie J on the birth of their baby girl!

After a tumultuous year, Bonnie Bella was born on December 28, just a few days before 2017, and hopefully a new start for her parents.

The near-constant drama between Joseline and Stevie J pretty much needs no introduction if you watch Love & Hip Hop Atlanta online.

Or even if you don’t watch it, in all likelihood.

To sum up: Joseline and Stevie were together for a long time. They were never married, even if they referred to each other as spouses.

Then they broke up this year … after Joseline said she was pregnant and Stevie is a deadbeat child molester who disavowed the baby.

She also said she took a polygraph to prove he watches gay porn. Yeah … things got so bad that Stevie threatened a defamation lawsuit …

… only to make peace with her last month.

In early December, he revealed he is in fact Bella’s father, and was over the moon about it, in an Instagram post that was beyond touching.

And, typically for the couple, short-lived.

Not even 24 hours later, Joseline went HAM and allegedly attacked Stevie in her home, prompting him to claim Hernandez is certifiable.

You could say these two are mercurial.

Fortunately for baby Bonnie, it looks like once again, they have been able to put their differences aside in honor of this important milestone.

Joseline and Stevie both shared photos of Baby Bonnie in their social media feeds, gushing about their new arrival of the past week:

Neither picture shows Bonnie’s face, which we have to imagine is deliberate. You have to do a proper reveal for the cameras, correct?

Oh yes. Joseline even came out and said that she’s saving the close-up in order to build up hype for Special Delivery, her VH1 spinoff.

Hey, at least she’s up front.

The above image is Stevie’s posted on Instagram the day after her daughter’s birth with the photo caption: “Bonnie Bella Jordan 12.28.16.”

A second photo, courtesy of Joseline, features a large thumb and a precious tiny fist, which she captioned “My daughter and my niece.”

Here’s that adorable image:

That’s all we’re getting for now, but we imagine the drama will continue promptly, as Stevie J now has six kids with five different women.

Oh yes. His love life is complicated, to say the least, as is his financial situation when it comes to supporting his growing number of kids.

While there is no longer controversy over whether Stevie is the father of the baby girl, the question of who will raise the poor child remains.

Stevie J is facing a mountain of debt and possible jail time for unpaid child support, which you can guarantee Joseline will use as leverage.

And despite claims not even a month ago that he would consider “getting back together” with his fiery ex, he also thinks she’s crazy.

So … there’s that. Happy New Year?

Mariah Carey on New Year"s Eve Debacle: S--t Happens (and Producers Sabotaged Me)!

Mariah Carey is shaking off her failed New Year’s Eve performance, while her team is insinuating that she was set up to fail by producers.

By now, you’ve likely seen or at least heard about the music icon’s disastrous night in Times Square on Saturday night in NYC:

Carey failed to complete her planned performances for Ryan Seacrest’s annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special, baffling viewers nationwide.

Her reaction, in her own words:

S–t happens, people!

“Have a happy and healthy new year everybody! Here’s to making more headlines in 2017,” she added in a brief message to her Twitter fans.

Severe audio issues 86’d the performance, in which she was supposed to sing “Emotion,” “We Belong Together” and “Auld Lang Syne.”

Throughout the live gig, Carey told the crowd she couldn’t hear through her earpiece, telling them she was still “trying to be a good sport.”

“We didn’t have a [sound]check for this song, so we’ll just say it went to number one,” she said, adding that the track was missing “some of the vocals.”

“It is what it is.”

Carey ended her time on stage, a fitting conclusion to the year that was, by saying, “That was … amazing” and “it just don’t get any better.”

A rep for ABC had no comment when asked what the deal was, while a publicist for Dick Clark Productions was not immediately available.

Likely getting too hammered or too busy reading the Twitter comments, or both, as these were the national pastimes on Saturday night.

Singer Josh Groban notably tweeted, “Any time one of the greatest voices of my generation lip syncs an angel loses its wings.”

He didn’t name names, but it was obvious who he was referring to, and after getting some less-than favorable responses, he apologized.

Groban nixed the tweet and wrote:

“Deleted my tweets about a certain performance because it was made in humor but taken way more meanly than intended. Not out to diss artist.”

Jennifer Lopez also addressed the Carey disaster on social media, by liking a comment on Power 106 KMEL Big Von’s Instagram page.

Big Von shared a link to the performance and wrote, “Ever seen an accident you couldn’t take your eyes away from? That was her tonight!”

Fans noticed that one of the Likes on that comment is from none other than Lopez’s official account. Subtle shade, but shade nonetheless.

Sources in Carey’s camp, meanwhile, told TMZ and Billboard that believe she was “sabotaged” and that “production set her up to fail.”

Anyone buying that?

Dick Clark Productions sure as heck isn’t, and released the following statement about Mariah’s performance in response to those stories:

As the premier producer of live television events for nearly 50 years, we pride ourselves on our reputation and long-standing relationships with artists.

To suggest that DCP, as producer of music shows including the American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and Academy of Country Music Awards, would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.

The production company seemingly acknowledged that the issues faced by the 46-year-old singer were not her fault … or the company’s:

In very rare instances there are of course technical errors that can occur with live television.

However, an initial investigation has indicated that DCP had no involvement in the challenges associated with Ms. Carey’s New Year’s Eve performance.

We want to be clear that we have the utmost respect for Ms. Carey as an artist and acknowledge her tremendous accomplishments in the industry.

What do you make of all this, THGers? Obviously, we may never know what happened that night in Times Square, but we can tell you this:

It was the most 2016 thing ever.
