Phaedra Parks Breaks Silence, Reacts to The Real Housewives of Atlanta Firing

Phaedra Parks is ready to move on.

The reality star has no real say in the matter, of course, having been fired as a cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta this week.

The bombshell was dropped on fans of the franchise yesterday, following a fiery fourth installment of the show’s ninth season reunion special on Sunday evening.

During the taping, Parks confessed to telling Porsha Williams that Kandi Burruss and Burruss’ husband, Todd Tucker, had planned on drugging Williams and taking her back to their place for some sex.

Did she base this wild accusation on something Burruss and Tucker actually told her, as she previously claimed?

Did she pass it along to Williams based on first-hand information?

No, Parks finally admitted at the reunion.

“I repeated it because I heard it,” Parks explained. “Something was brought to me. I just repeated it. I repeated what someone told me. I’m not saying I didn’t say it. I’m saying I repeated it.”

That’s a pretty fine line.

And, even for a Real Housewives storyline, it’s also a pretty insane topic to broach.

As Kandi cried and insisted that Phaedra essentially accused her of rape, other cast members at the reunion sat in shock.

Kenya Moore couldn’t believe that Parks could make such a reveal and then remain stone-faced, while Porsha fought back tears and replied:

“Oh, Phaedra, that’s awful. Oh God, that’s so awful. I swear to God, Kandi, I would never ever say something like that to you if it wasn’t told to me in truth and confidence.”

Parks did end up muttering an apology on set, acknowledging that she “shouldn’t have repeated it.”

But Williams wasn’t having it.

“I feel betrayed … and completely taken advantage of,” she said, adding on stage:

“[Our friendship] was a lie and I was the pawn used to hurt Kandi. I don’t know if I’ll be able to move past this.”

In the end, producers weren’t able to move past the rape allegations; according to TMZ, they gave Parks her walking papers shortly after this explosive reunion special aired on Bravo.

You can use the video below to watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online and see this utter craziness go down:

How is Parks feeling about the ordeal?

What does she have planned next?

We can’t say for certain, but the controversial star shared the following message on Instagram in the wake of this scandal.

“New day, new week! Have a magnificent #Monday! #letsgo,” Parks  wrote alongside the poster below, which read: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”

Parks tweet

In other words:

The past is the past and Parks is ready to see what the future has in store for her.

Toward the end of the reunion, host Andy Cohen put Parks in her place, telling her directly:

“You got caught in a megawatt lie. I don’t know that you’ve completely copped to it.”

She apologized again at this point, adding: “I’m sorry that it hurt Kandi as well.”

Speaking later to Us Weekly, Cohen expressed surprise that Parks was so calm about the incident. She didn’t express much remorse or emotion on stage.

“She seemed kind of withdrawn about it,” Cohen told the tabloid.

The Watch What Happens Live also said he’s “spoken a few times” with Parks since the reunion taping, but “I don’t get the sense that she has [talked to the other Housewives].”

This is not shocking.

As for whether she can repair her friendships, Cohen has his doubts.

“It seems a little precarious,” he says.

We agree.

Once you accuse a friend of planning to drug and rape another friend, there’s almost never any going back from that.

Teen Mom OG Recap: Who Just Got Kicked Outta the House?

On Monday night’s Teen Mom OG, Maci found herself in an unexpected position with Ryan Edwards, while Amber had a big night planned.

Elsewhere, Catelynn and Tyler butted heads regarding different parenting styles, and Farrah Abraham … ugh. Just ugh.

When Teen Mom OG Season 4 Episode 6 got underway, Maci Bookout decided to get lunch with Ryan’s fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer.

Yes, somebody has agreed to marry Ryan Edwards!

Ryan got engaged to Mackenzie, as shown on the previous episode of Teen Mom OG, and she bonded with Maci over their experiences.

Guess who was also a teen mom … just not on TV?

As always, Maci worried about co-parenting, and expressed how she’d really love for Bentley to spend more time with his dad in life.

However, she would like that to happen at Ryan’s place, not his parents Jen and Larry’s, as has been Edwards’ custom over the years.

With Standifer already slamming MTV producers for their editing, we don’t anticipate this is going to be a drama-free season for long.

Elsewhere, Amber Portwood hit up a casting call with Matt Baier, with the goal of booking models for her Forever Haute fashion show.

Backing up for a second … yes, Amber is running a fashion show, and apparently, models were all too enthused about being in this.

It’s unclear if this will be a success, but we certainly hope it will be, because she’s working hard at it and has come so far in life already.

In Catelynn Lowell’s segment, Tyler Baltierra paid a visit to his dad, the oft-troubled Butch, who he told his wife seemed very depressed.

Sad? Absolutely, yes. Surprising? Not so much.

Cate and Ty have their issues, for sure, but given what they’ve overcome together, and continue to struggle with, our hats are off to them.

Finally, Farrah Abraham’s mom, Debra Danielsen, flew in to Austin to help plan and run little Sophia‘s sleepover-themed birthday party.

Naturally, things went south in a big ol’ hurry.

Debra showed Farrah pictures of her giving birth to Sophia, which didn’t go over well … and later, Farrah asked Debra to pack her bags.

As in, find a hotel ‘cause you can’t stay here.

Farrah acted like this was the plan all along, while Deb was caught off guard and incredulous, and the verbal sparring escalated quickly.

“Are you staying at a hotel? Because you’re not going to be at my house the whole time,” Farrah said of the “arrangement.”

“Last night and the night before,” she said, “you got to stay because Sophia wanted you to stay and it was a slumber party.”

Not now, though, according to Farrah.

“If you can’t respect the boundary and still hang out and be normal the week while you’re here, that’s your loss,” she said.

One is frequently at a loss for words when it comes to Abraham, but she’s ratcheting up the absurdity to new levels lately.

We realize her relationship with her parents is strained, and that it’s a two-way street, but this is just forcing conflict is it not?

Anyway, you can follow the link to watch Teen Mom OG online and relive all the drama – the good, the bad and the Farrah.

Jason Aldean and Britney Kerr: We"re Pregnant!

Jason Aldean and Britney Kerr have dealt with quite a few bumps throughout the course of their relationship.

But now the controversial couple has something to say about a very different kind of bump, one that signifies a baby is in the way.

Yup: the singers are expecting their first child!

The 40-year old country artist and his former American Idol contestant of a wife made the announcement on Instagram last night.

“SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!! This was the hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep,” Kerr penned a caption to the photo below.

She added:

“This journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many tears… The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt! All of the moments of heartache were followed by the biggest blessing in the entire world!!

“We will never take one moment for granted & can’t wait to meet you, sweet baby!!!”

Based on the mixture of pink and blue balloons here, it appears as if the couple has not yet found out their impending baby’s gender.

Said Added Aldean of the exciting personal news:

“Been hard to keep this secret but we couldn’t be happier to add to our family. This year just gets better and better. #bunintheoven.”

Aldean has two daughters, a nine-year old and a 14-year old, from his previous relationship with Jessica Ussery.

He split with her in 2013 after 12 years of marriage after photos emerged of him cheating with Kerr in October of 2013.

With the evidence so glaring, Aldean didn’t try to hide his infidelity. He addressed it head-on in a Facebook message to fans at the time.

“Hey Guys – I wanted to talk to you directly, so you’re hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites,” he wrote.

“The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and I acted inappropriately at a bar.

“I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself.

“I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.”

Aldean and Ussery tried to work on their marriage after this scandal broke, but they filed for divorce a few months later.

In April of 2014, Aldean said he didn’t regret any decisions and he urged critics to lay off of him and Kerr.

So sick of people judging me and @brittanylkerr over things they know nothing about. I have made mistakes but i am a better person because of it,” the singer Tweeted at the time.

“I wouldnt change a thing. Im happier than i have ever been, so thank u to all the people who support us. We are happy and life goes on. Its time to move on people.”

And now it’s time for the couple to move on to parenthood. That’s a mighty huge step!

Kerr and Aldean got engaged in September of 2014, with the former writing upon accepting the latter’s proposal:

“My heart has never been more full of happiness and love. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him.”

Aldean later told People Magazine that he was “down” for having at least one child with Kerr, saying:

“I love kids and being a dad is one of the best things in the world for me.”

Jimmy Kimmel Fires Back at Critics, Stands By Healthcare Critique

Just over a week ago, Jimmy Kimmel shared a heartbreaking and inspiring story with the world.

He fought back tears on stage while he told his audience about the emergency heart surgery his newborn son, Billy, was forced to go through just three days after entering the world.

It was a candid, emotional, memorable and unique moment, one in which a celebrity came across as nothing more than a loving and frightened father…

… and it somehow earned Kimmel some criticism from various Republicans.

This is because Kimmel concluded his monologue with a plea for a national healthcare package that would ensure all babies had the same chance his did.

He said that no one"s income level should determine whether or not their child receives the best medical attention possible.

How is this a controversial stance?

Ask the Congressman who mocked folks for caring about Kimmel"s situation; or the columnist who referred to him as an "elitist creep."

On Monday night, Kimmel gave fans an update on little Billy, while also addressing comments such as these.

“One week ago tonight, I made an emotional speech – that was seen by millions – and as a result of my powerful words, Republicans in Congress had second thoughts about repeal and replace, they realized that what is right is right -– and I saved health insurance in America!” Kimmel.

Wait, he joked, adding:

“Oh, I didn’t? They voted against it anyway? I really need to pay more attention to the news.”

The father of four then thanked his fans, especially those who donations made to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the last week.

“What a humbling outpouring of support," he said.

So many people made donations to CHLA and my wife and I are very grateful for them. Our plan is to send a card to everyone who made a donation and there were a lot, so you might be getting those at Christmas time.”

As for critics such as Newt Gingrich, who claimed Kimmel is simply mistaken in his views because all hospitals would perform emergency surgery on a baby?

"Yes, it is true that if you have an emergency they will do an operation, and that’s terrific if your baby’s health problems are all solved during that one visit," the comedian shot back, adding:

"The only problem is that never, ever happens… We’ve had a dozen doctor’s appointments since our son had surgery. You have a cardiologist, a pediatrician, the surgeons, some kids need an ambulance to transport them – and that doesn’t even count parents who have to miss work for all this stuff."

Kimmel, who did not grow up rich, also said the following about those who referred to him as "elitist" and "out of touch."

I can"t even count the number of times I"ve been called an "out of touch Hollywood elitist creep" this week. Which, I have to say, I kind of appreciate.

Because when I was a kid, we had to drink powdered milk because we couldn’t afford the liquid. Our orange juice came frozen out of a can, it would squeeze out.

My father – on the rare occasion we took a family trip – would hide our dog in the back of the car and then smuggle it into our motel room to avoid paying the two-dollar pet fee.

So I have to say, my dream was to become an "out of touch Hollywood elitist." And I guess it came true.
