Can you see them? Can you smell them? Can you feel them?
We"re talking about the flames coming off a certain clothing item on the celebrities below. Because they are liars, liars and their pants are on fire!
Maybe not always. But these are some of the biggest lies famous people have ever told. Which strikes you as the most bewildering?
1. I worked at the World Trade Center on 9/11…
We’re starting with a doozy: The League actor Steve Rannazzisi had to issue an apology in September 2015 for saying many years beforehand that he worked in the World Trade Center during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He did not.
2. I did not have sexual relations with that woman…
Yes, President Bill Clinton, you did. Her name was Monica Lewinsky and, thanksto you, we’ll never look at cigars the same way ever again.
3. I never took performance enhancing drugs…
Lance Armstrong didn’t just say this. He said it over and over and over again, suing people who said otherwise for defamation. Dude is good for cancer fundraising, bad for truth telling.
4. I nearly died in Iraq!
Okay, Brian Williams didn’t go quite this far. But the anchor lost his spot on the NBC Nightly News due to his extreme exaggeration of how close he got to enemy fire during time spent in the Middle East.
5. I’m totally married!
Brandy announced in 2002 that she was pregnant, and also secretly married to producer Robert Smith. This led to a reality show that chronicled Brandy’s pregnancy, except that Brandy eventually admitted she lied; she was never married, she just wanted to protect her image.
6. I went through SO much as an addict!
James Frey sold millions of books after penning a memoir about his struggles with addiction. Except that he made most of those struggles up. He was humiliated by Oprah Winfrey on television over the major faux pas.
