On Teen Mom 2 Season 8 Episode 12, as Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin’s feud reached its boiling point, she decided to quash the beef.
Of course, you know that can only last so long – and last night’s reunion special brought us up to date on all the latest dramatic fallout.
Looking back on how she was portrayed all season, Kail decided it was better to let bygones be bygones for the sake of her children.
Of course, she was soon blindsided by alarming new allegations that made her question whether she actually made the right decision.
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, you know Kailyn saying she wants to “end this chapter” of her life is a startlingly recurring proclamation.
Still, in this case, it carried a little extra weight after the dramatic season that was. Every week featured non-stop drama in Kail’s storyline.
Saying she wanted to explain herself and get it over with, Lowry told Dr. Drew Pinsky that much of what you saw was a big misunderstanding:
Javi Marroquin returned from deployment expecting to reconcile and get back together, she said, only to find Kailyn filing for divorce.
Later, Javi came out on stage, they spoke about their co-parenting plan, and everything seemed to be civil enough by their standards.
Then Kailyn’s other baby daddy, Jo Rivera, joined in with his fiancee, Vee Torres, to discuss Kailyn’s two children, Lincoln and Isaac.
Vee wasted no time revealing she wanted Jo to get 50/50 custody of Isaac, which made Kailyn Lowry “very pissed off” pretty quickly.
According to Vee, Jo picked up and moved to Delaware after Kailyn and Javi built a life here, so they should be given a little respect.
Kailyn began to cry, saying she felt threatened.
While Lowry dealt with dueling baby daddies on stage, Chelsea Houska ironically had the polar opposite situation during her segment:
Husband Cole DeBoer didn’t want to go on stage, because he’s Cole and actually doesn’t like the attention, and Adam Lind no-showed.
Because … well, c’mon, it’s Adam Lind.
Dude has flaked on everything else all season, and in life, including paying child support and even calling his own daughter on her birthday.
Should we really be surprised here?
The Housk had plenty of good things to discuss, such as her wedding and pregnancy, but admitted “some disappointment” with Lind.
Understatement of all time there.
Cole was always there for Aubree, she said, referring to the role her longtime partner has played as a father figure to Adam’s daughter.
We weren’t done with Lind, though.
Dr. Drew read aloud a text that an MTV producer received from Adam just one day before filming on the Teen Mom 2 reunion began.
It was, predictably and somewhat hilariously, so laden with profanity that it sounded like one long expletive being bleeped out.
Lind accused producers of leaking his personal information to celebrity gossip site and said he wouldn’t show up to film s–t.
Chelsea was asked to react to this.
“I wish he would just decide if he’s going to be there or not going to be there, and stop messing with my child’s head,” Houska sighed.
A fair request (that he won’t honor).
Long story short: Adam Lind is such a D that he ruled the show even in absentia, but he obviously won’t quit, despite his tough talk.
Mr. No Action needs the cash. Fact.
In any case, the dramatic bar is set high for Jenelle Evans next week as she and Leah Messer take their turns in the hot seat.
Should be awkwardly entertaining.
