This week on Teen Mom 2, Kailyn Lowry faced off with Javi in court, while Chelsea Houska heard something disturbing about Adam.
What else is new, are we right?
Meanwhile, Jace met his new baby sister as his mother, Jenelle Evans announced her (controversial) engagement to David Eason.
On Teen Mom 2 Season 9 Episode 4, new cast member Briana DeJesus’ daughter, Nova, struggled with an identity crisis of sorts.
Her dad, Devoin Austin, is out of the picture, so Nova is not exposed to black people or culture for the most part, which troubles her.
Devoin said he would be willing to be a bigger part of her life, though he would prefer if this could happen without Briana’s supervision.
He complimented her “pretty hair” when he saw her, which made her face light up, and added, “She can learn a lot of things from us.”
Most importantly, we hope she learns what a good father figure is; Briana’s breakup with Luis makes us similarly concerned for Stella.
Meanwhile, in Delaware, things were less uplifting …
Kailyn Lowry was feeling like she was being harassed by ex Javi Marroquin about her pregnancy, so she got a restraining order against him.
Technically, it’s a PFI (Protection From Intimidation).
There is no allegation of abuse, but he still must stay more than 100 yards away from her her and can only contact her about Lincoln.
Javi agreed to her terms, which are valid for a year.
“She’s a real piece of s–t is what she is,” Marroquin said after court, clearly fuming. “I’ll never have anything to say to her besides Lincoln.”
This heated debate between the couple is enough to rival that of Jenelle Evans’ love life, though she was on cloud nine after her engagement.
However, there’s still the matter of Nathan Griffith.
“I really don’t give a f–k,” Nathan said about his former fiancee’s engagement to David Eason … or the birth of the couple’s child FWIW.
“What the f–k kind of name is Ensley?”
Well, that was pretty blunt Nate.
In West Virginia, Leah Messer’s daughter Ali is suffering from muscular dystrophy, as we know, and lately it’s been especially challenging.
“Whatever she wants to do at the end of the day that’s what matters,” Leah said when Ali didn’t want to continue her tumbling classes.
When her twin sister Gracie did not understand why Ali was bailing, Leah interjected, “Gracie you just need to mind your own business.”
If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Poor Leah.
Finally, Chelsea Houska’s daughter, Aubree, was sad after Adam Lind ditched her father-daughter dance (and not for the first time).
“I honestly don’t ever think about him,” was how Chelsea explained Aubree’s words … and that wasn’t the half of it, either:
Adam Lind actually went to court in order to attempt to lower his child support payments to Chelsea, but in order to do so?
He had to take a drug test … and failed.
He tested positive for methamphetamines (commonly called meth) and amphetamines, and subsequently, the court date is on hold.
“I wish she didn’t have a drug addict father,” Chelsea said upon hearing the shocking/not shocking news that Adam Lind tested positive for meth.
Understatement …
