Simon Helberg and Jocelyn Towne Support Refugees at 2017 SAG Awards

A number of actors and actresses who accepted trophies tonight at the 2017 SAG Awards made a mention of Donald Trump’s latest executive order.

You know the one; the one being referred to as a Muslim Ban across social media and, really, most of the free world.

But while Simon Helberg didn’t personally take home any gold at the event in Los Angeles, he still made his opinion on Trump’s order as clear as possible.

And he did so without saying a word:

Check out the sign held on the red carpet above by Helberg and wife Jocelyn Towne.

It has created quite the stir across Twitter, Instagram and the Internet at large.

Helberg us carrying a small sign that read, “Refugees Welcome.”

Meanwhile, Towne was seen with the words “LET THEM IN” written above her chest.

The President has faced major backlash after issuing the controversial order.

The ban has led to protests across the country, specifically in airports in which refugees were being detained, some of which were in possession of a legal green card.

Here is what other stars have said about the Muslim Ban:

And here is what Julia Louis-Dreyfus said upon winning Outstanding Female Actress in a Comedy Series:

“Whether the Russians did or did not hack the voting of tonight’s SAG awards, I look out at the million or probably even a million and a half people in this room, and I say this award is legitimate and I won.

I’m the winner, the winner is me — landslide!

She then turned serious:

I want you all to know, I am the daughter of an immigrant.

My father fled Religious persecution in Nazi-occupied France. I’m an American patriot and I love this country, and because I love this country I am horrified by its blemishes.

This immigrant ban is a blemish and it is un-American.

What do you think of celebrities denouncing the Muslim Ban? And Trump in general?

Are they helping their cause? Hurting their cause?

Would you prefer to watch an awards show that is apolitical? Or do you understand why these stars feel a need to speak out?

And how excited are you to see Trump’s response tomorrow on Twitter?

Raven Gates: The Bachelor Front-Runner in 2017?!

She may be overshadowed by Corinne Olympios, but Raven Gates is a serious Bachelor contender (as The Bachelor spoilers predicted).

A big reason for that? From the moment she stepped out of the limo at the iconic mansion, she hasn’t been afraid to speak her mind.

Even when it comes to calling out Nick Viall over Corinne.

The 25-year-old boutique owner from Hoxie, Arkansas, has definitely caught Nick’s eye, and her bluntness is something Viall admires.

Even if she criticizes him for enabling Corinne Olympios‘ sexual antics and dramatics, Nick can’t help but admire her honest sincerity.

Asked by Glamour why she tried out for the show, Raven said “my parents have been married for 30 years, so I have really high expectations.”

Someone doesn’t watch The Bachelor online apparently.

While you might think looking for love on TV is looking for love in all the wrong places – or with the right people – Gates begs to differ.

“Somebody that’s going on national television is really ready for love and has their stuff together when they are looking for a wife,” she says.

“When I first applied, I came out of a terrible breakup and didn’t think I’d date again, but … I still want to be a wife and a mother.

“So I’m crazy to go on an adventure on national television, but I’m really that desperate for love! [Laughs.] I’m excited, though!”

“I think I’m a little bit crazy, but it’s going to be awesome!”

What made her want to embark on this crazy journey?

“I was sad and broken-hearted and all alone in my bedroom, and I thought, I’m going to put myself out there. So I applied,” she said.

“I didn’t know the Bachelor was going to be Nick, but I was excited when I found out it was going to be him,” Raven says of the star.

Gates says she wanted to go into this with an open mind:

“What’s funny is that my best friend is obsessed with him.”

“When I found out it was Nick, I was like, ‘Please don’t tell me anything about him, ’cause I want it to be super organic when I meet him."”

“I mean, as organic as it can be! [Laughs.]”

Raven says that when it comes to love, she values “Loyalty, loyalty, and loyalty. In past relationships I’ve never found a true loyal person.”

“I probably wouldn’t settle for someone who didn’t love their mother or [who] treated a waitress or someone that was serving them badly.”

Luckily, Nick Viall loves his mom, and treats all the women he meets very well these days … if you know what we’re talking about here.

(If you don’t, see below gallery.)

As for her Bachelor franchise #couplegoals?

“Carly and Evan [from Bachelor in Paradise], 100 percent! I cried. OK, first of all, I laughed at the one episode,” Raven tells the magazine.

“Me and my mother were watching it together … I was dying laughing because Carly was so icked out by him, but she loves him.”

“She’s falling in love with him! I feel like I might be the same way with that, I’m not sure. But I’m really digging it! And then I cried.”

“When they got engaged, it was so genuine, so heartfelt. They’re my favorite, favorite couple! If they walked in the door, I might fan-girl!”

“And I’m not a fan girl, you know, if I saw a celebrity” on a regular day, she says, but with Evan Bass and Carly Waddell, “I would fan-girl.”

Wouldn’t we all over CarlVan, though?

Oscar Nominations 2017: Shocks! Snubs! Screwjobs!

The nominations are in…

… and the complaining can now begin!

Earlier today, the world was made aware of which movies, actors and actresses will compete at the 2017 Academy Awards.

But we"re more focused right now on which movies, actors and actresses will NOT be competing. That is, who got snubbed the hardest?!?

And these nominees are…

1. Amy Adams, Arrival

Amy adams arrival

What?!? We thought she’d actually win Best Actress… and she’s not even nominated?!? We adore Meryl Streep, but she doesn’t need to be up for every single role she takes on. Come on now!

2. Sully

Sully

Clint Eastwood directed. Tom Hanks starred. And yet nothing at all came this drama’s way.

3. Silence

Silence

Over the last 16 years, the only Martin Scorsese movie that failed to earn a Best Picture no was Shutter Island. We can now add Silence to the list.

4. Annette Bening, 20th Century Women

Annette bening 20th century women

Sorry, Steep. But Bening was more deserved for her portrait here of an eccentric single mom.

5. Deadpool

Deadpool

Didn’t the Oscars expand the Best Picture category to 10 potential nominees in order to include more commercial films such as Deadpool? Why make that move and then NOT nominate this fun superhero flick?

6. Rogue One

Rogue one

We also would have accepted Rogue One as the mainstream movie nominated for Best Picture.

2017 Oscar Nominations: Who Was Honored? Who Was Snubbed?

Ariel Winter Stuns in First Swimsuit Photo of 2017!!!

Question: what have we mere mortals ever done in our entire history as a society to deserve something so precious, so beautiful, so ridiculously hot as Ariel Winter?

Answer: not one damn thing.

We don’t deserve Ariel, and that’s a fact. She’s too good for us.

And yet, she’s still here, and she’s still giving so much of herself so that we miserable peasants can catch one little glimpse at true beauty.

And that’s how we have this, the very first Ariel Winter swimsuit Instagram post of 2017.

Looks like the year is off to a pretty wonderful start right now, huh?

This glorious photo was taken while Ariel was on vacation in Bora Bora, and don’t you just love it?

Even if you’re not the type to get all excited about some boobs — though let’s be real, is that even a type that exists? — you can still admit how amazing she looks here.

She went for a simple black high-cut swimsuit, nothing too crazy. It’s elegant, and it just goes to show that she’s capable of pulling off more looks than just the racy ones.

But if you had your heart set on racy, you know our girl had that front covered, too:

That’s a photo she shared on Snapchat of the absolutely breathtaking view in Bora Bora.

Are we talking about the water and the sky, or her ass? It’s hard to say.

And if you were confused about exactly why we think that Ariel Winter is too good for this world, well, maybe that photo has given you an idea of what we’re talking about.

Of course, Ariel didn’t go all the way to the South Pacific by herself.

She brought along a few friends with her, and one of them was kind enough to snap this darling photo of her and another friend swimming:

Here, she’s rocking yet another swimsuit, as well as an actual flower crown — that’s no filter, y’all.

She’s the picture of beauty and grace. And boobs.

And we couldn’t be more grateful.

Oh, and hey, just for fun, don’t all these beachy photos bring to mind another recent vacation of Ariel’s?

Perhaps one where there was a little less swimming and a little more twerking?

Bless this girl. Bless her so hard.

Golden Globes 2017: Who Should Win?

The 74th annual Golden Globe Awards will broadcast by NBC Sunday, January 8.

There are a lot of different awards up for grabs, but who will emerge victorious in the race for the most awards?

We have some predictions for you.

Scroll down to find out who we think should win.

1. Drama Series

Ramsay boltons army

Despite what some may say, there is still no other show on TV quite like Game of Thrones. The sheer scale and writing is on another level from the other shows in the category. With some tweaks, Westworld could get there. This Is Us will win because it’s the only show on the list about family values, but Game of Thrones should win.

2. Drama Series – Actor

Rami malek in green

Rami Malek is without a doubt the best actor in this category. Despite a creative nosedive for Mr. Robot in Season 2, Rami Malek turned in an other outstanding performance as Elliot Alderson. Then again, Matthew Rhys has been turning in solid performances on The Americans for four seasons. Rhys will eke out the win over the others in the category, but Malek should win.

3. Drama Series – Actress

Evan rachel wood in toronto

Westworld shocked us all with a solid first season that made us question the world around us. Part of that was Evan Rachel Wood’s convincing portrayal of Dolores. Considering the acclaim the series has acieved – particularly for Wood’s performance, she should and will win it.

4. Comedy or Musical Series

Atlanta promotional picture

Donald Glover’s Atlanta has been a hit with critics and viewers. It should and will secure the win over Veep and Mozart in the Jungle.

5. Comedy or Musical – Actress

Sarah jessica parker 2016 costume institute gala

Sarah Jessica Parker will do battle with the likes of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Gina Rodriguez and Rachel Bloom. There’s no denying that she deserves the win. After years away from a hit show, her acting chops are still there. She should and will win.

6. Comedy or Musical – Actor

Donald glover on community

The writing on Atlanta was just the tip of the iceberg. Donald Glover’s performance as Earnest Marks struck a chord with viewers. So much so that he should and will take the win over Nick Nolte, Jefrey Tambor, Anthony Anderson and Gael Garcia Bernal.
