Kate Beckinsale Dresses as Penis for Some Awesome Reason
Kate Beckinsale is a classic beauty.
According to Esquire Magazine, she was once THE classic beauty.
But that doesn’t mean Kate Beckinsale is above dressing up in an inflatable penis costume and having a bit of fun.
Yes, Kate Beckinsale just dressed up in an inflatable penis costume.
The gorgeous actress made this phallic fashion statement on Monday, sharing the unexpected photo of herself on Instagram.
She included with it a hilarious caption that reads as follows:
“Just a girl trying to make it in a man’s world.”
As you can see above only the face of the 42-year old is visible in this get-up, as she seems a bit confused while standing alongside her bed, donning the genitalia-mimicking ensemble.
Is she making an actual statement here?
Just a few weeks ago, remember, Beckinsale accused director Michael Bay of body-shaming her.
Bay later scoffed at the story and said he and his former Pearl Harbor colleague are on great terms.
Still, it’s possible Beckinsale wasn’t aiming for humor with her caption or with this costume.
It’s possible she was covering up her body with a pretend penis as a commentary on sexism in Hollywood.
But we doubt it. In general, it’s not a great idea to attempt to make a serious statement while dressed as a penis.
“Hilarious! My wife is dying to know where she can get an inflatable penis suit,” one follower wrote in response to the image, while another joked:
“What a magnificent erection.”
Way back in September of 2012, during an appearance on Conan, Beckinsale – who split from husband Len Wiseman last fall – did say that she has an X-rated sense of humor.
“I do like a penis joke. Right? Doesn’t everybody? Especially when you’re on a holiday,” she said at the time.
“Whenever I visit my mother’s house, I always have to leave a banana and two apples or whatever fruit she has.
“It’s nice we have a family tradition… and ours is penis-based.”
So there you awesomely have it, folks.

Michael Bay: Kate Beckinsale and I Are Fine, I"m Not A Bad Guy!
Kate Beckinsale told a rather amusing story on The Graham Norton Show, but one person did not find it funny.
Director Michael Bay defended himself on June 1st against story after story that pegged him as a misogynist, having allegedly told Kate Beckinsale to keep it right and tight for 2001’s Pearl Harbor.
“I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren’t bigger than my head and I wasn’t blonde,” Beckinsale joked on the May 27th episode, alluding to rumors that Bay is somewhat of a sexist.
“I’d just had my daughter and had lost weight, but I was told that if I got the part, I’d have to work out. And I just didn’t understand why a 1940s nurse would do that.”
Not so, Bay pointed out, blaming reporters for allegedly twisting the story to make him look like the bad guy.
“Really?” he wrote on his blog. “This poster [below] has hung proudly over my desk for 15 years.”
“Yesterday I read in the press that I don’t think Kate Beckinsale is ‘a stunning beauty,’ huh? And they went on to suggest that Kate and I don’t like each other?
“Well, totally untrue,” he wrote.
“Kate and I are friendly. She is a fantastic actress, very funny, witty lady, sassy, speaks her mind, and I truly respect her. That’s why she has come to so many of my Christmas parties and Birthday parties.
“This so called ‘problem of us not liking each other’ was reported by a tabloid-esque reporter after Kate appeared on an edgy English talk show, speaking about our meeting 16 years ago while casting Pearl Harbor.
“The reporter made her story into some scandalous confrontation, when it was nothing of the sort,” the blockbuster director claimed.
“Spoke to Kate today and she felt she told a funny story. “
FYI, Bay said, most leads in action movies require a trainer for stunts, etc.
“So I guess I was the ‘bad guy’ 16 years ago for suggesting a trainer because she just had her new beautiful baby girl—and she was about to enter into an intensive action movie.
“Note to reporters: 95 % of leads in movies have trainers and drink green juice!”
Is Bay misunderstood? Or is Beckinsale’s example of his treatment of women pretty spot-on?

Kate Beckinsale: "Pearl Harbor" Director Michael Bay Body-Shamed Me!
Director Michael Bay is kind of a jerk, and everybody knows it.
While promoting her new movie, Love & Friendship on The Graham Norton Show in the UK on May 27th, Kate Beckinsale brought up the fact that her Pearl Harbor director, Michael Bay was very good at body-shaming women.
“I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren’t bigger than my head and I wasn’t blonde,” Beckinsale said when they made the 2001 blockbuster.
“I’d just had my daughter and had lost weight, but I was told that if I got the part, I’d have to work out. And I just didn’t understand why a 1940s nurse would do that.”
(For the record, Beckinsale has admitted to having an eating disorder in the past)
Even after filming wrapped, Bay was still obnoxious as hell.
“When we were promoting the film, Michael was asked why he had chosen Ben and Josh, and he said, ‘I have worked with Ben before and I love him, and Josh is so manly and a wonderful actor,’” Beckinsale recalled.
“Then when he was asked about me, he’d say, ‘Kate wasn’t so attractive that she would alienate the female audience.’ He kept saying it everywhere we went — and we went to a lot of places!”
Beckinsale isn’t the first actress to call out Bay for his somewhat misogynistic tendancies.
Megan Fox claimed he was a nightmare to work for during Transformers.
“He’s like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation,” Fox told Wonderland in 2009.
“He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he’s not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he’s so awkward, so hopelessly awkward.
“He has no social skills at all. And it’s endearing to watch him. He’s vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he’s a tyrant.”
That…sounds like someone I would never want to have dinner with. Ever.

Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale: Dating?!
It’s been five months since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner called it quits on their 10-year marriage, and still most of the rumors about their respective love lives center around the possibility of a reconciliation.
Reports of Ben and Jen getting back together seem to pop up once a week, but Affleck may finally be putting them to rest by moving on with a former co-star.
Back in 2001, Affleck and Kate Beckinsale starred in Michael Bay’s ode to historical explosions, Pearl Harbor.
In addition to being one of the most forgettable blockbusters in movie history, the film is noteworthy as one of the first sources of tabloid drama in Ben’s career.
At the time, there were reports of Ben and Kate were hooking up on set (even though she was dating and raising a child with actor Michael Sheen at the time).
Affleck and Beckinsale denied that their relationship was anything more than a professional one, but now, 14 years later, the actors once again find themselves the subject of romance rumors.
Kate and husband Len Wiseman announced last week that they’re separating after over a decade of marriage.
She reportedly got in touch with Ben in search of “support,” which can mean a lot of different things when you’re talking about two good-looking newly single people.
“She’s turned to him for support as a friend because they’ve stayed in touch during her difficult time,” an insider tells The Daily Mail.
“Some of their friends have suggested that they’re made for each other and should give a proper relationship a go.”
Yes, it seems that Ben and Kate’s friends are trying to make Beckfleck a thing.
We’re not sure about a “proper relationship,” but we imagine the two of them supporting each other’s brains out these days.
