Carlos Lopez, Operation Repo Star, Dead from Apparent Suicide
Carlos Lopez Jr., a former reality star best known for his long-running role on TruTV’s Operation Repo, was found dead Sunday night on the balcony of his Los Angeles apartment.
He was 35 years old.
According to TMZ, Lopez’s body was discovered by his roommate around 8 p.m.
The roommate then dialed 911 and paramedics eventually arrived at the residence… but it was too late. Lopez was announced dead at the scene.
The cause of death appears to be a simple, obvious and tragic one:
Lopez was found with what looked to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. In its report, TMZ also claims that he left behind a suicide note.
Lopez was an Army veteran who served 37 months in combat with the 82nd Airborne in the Army, per his IMDB page.
He appeared on Operation Repo from 2012 to 2014 and also enjoyed small roles on television shows such as iCarly and CSI: Cyber.
Most recently, he appeared as a CIA station chief in the Tom Cruise movie, American Made.
Based on a recent Facebook post, it also sounds as if Lopez will have a small part in the upcoming Transformers spinoff, Bumblebee.
Operation Repo, meanwhile, was the English-language version of the original Spanish reality program that aired on Telemundo.
Based out of California’s San Fernando Valley, it chronicles a professional team that conducted repossessions for finance companies; it was canceled in 2014 following six years on the air.
Wrote Carlos’ mother on Facebook not long after this awful news went public:
Our hearts are heavy. Our handsome adventurous and loving son Carlos Jr. Left is for Heaven yesterday and our hearts are so heavy. Keep our family and Carlos’s friend Ronnie Lee in your prayers please.
We’ve lost our eldest son and military warrior.
Lopez’s death comes on the heels of two other suicides in Hollywood.
First, legendary designer Kate Spade took her own life via hanging. She was 55 years old.
Then, beloved chef and author Anthony Bourdain took his own life, also via hanging, while on location in France for his CNN show Parts Unknown.
On Monday morning it was revealed that Pawn Stars star Richard Harrison had died at the age of 77.
Very sad news all around.

Carlos Correa Wins World Series, Proposes on Field, Has Won Life
Carlos Correa is a handsome 23-year old shortstop who is one of the best young players in baseball.
He helped his team, the Houston Astros, win their first-ever World Series on Wednesday night, as they defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 5-1.
The guy could have gone out on the town afterward and had his pick of women to take home.
But it turns out Correa had already selected his woman a long time ago: Daniella Rodriguez, who was crowned Miss Texas USA in 2016.
Therefore, after celebrating with his teammates on the field, the All-Star stopped to chat with reporter Ken Rosenthal, only to interrupt his own interview because he simply could not wait any longer.
You make me the happiest person in the world, he told Rodriguez while the Fox camera rolled.
Will you marry me?
The 22-year old beauty pageant champion didn"t even reply at first. Not verbally, at least.
She burst into tears and simply kissed Correa right smack on the lips for an extended period of time.
"I was planning if we were World Series champions, I was going to do it right there," Correa told ESPN later in the night, adding:
"I don"t think that"s a stage you can create; it just has to happen. And we were able to win tonight, so perfect timing for me to get engaged."
The shortstop said he told a clubhouse attendant to please go fetch the ring in the ninth inning, once victory really did seem imminent for Houston.
"It doesn"t get any better," the 23-year-old Correa later said.
That"s for sure.

Alexa and Carlos PenaVega Announce Absurd Baby Name
Alexa and Carlos PenaVega are one of the cutest celebrity couples.
Alexa and Carlos recently revealed the news that they are expecting their first child together.
It’s such an exciting time for them. So much so that Alexa felt the need to take to Instagram to reveal some new details on her little bundle of joy.
For a start, she confirmed she and Carlos are expecting a little boy.
She went one step further and unveiled the baby name.
Ocean King PenaVega.
It sounds like a very supreme name, but pretty stupid at the same time.
Might they be thinking about the potential google searches for their child down the line?
That’s a name that isn’t going to get muddled up with other people on the internet.
It’s odd, but maybe they’re thinking about the potential career of their little one, too.
Celebrities sure have a knack for choosing crazy names for their kids. Right?!
Alexa also revealed a picture of the sonogram for the baby.

In another recent Instagram post, Alexa revealed that she couldn’t wait for her son to wear mini bathing suits.

“PREGNANT! It’s #ClearblueConfirmed a lil blessing is joining the PenaVega fam! #ItsHappening,” Alexa actress, 27, tweeted.
Her husband, Carlos followed her tweet up confirming it.
“Breaking news! It’s #ClearblueConfirmed a lil PenaVega is on the way! #ItsHappening #HolyWow #ClearbluePartner.”
The couple began dating in 2013 and were engaged the same year. They married in January 2014.
They also made headlines last year when they became the first married couple to compete on Dancing With the Stars.
We extend our congratulations to the couple!

Eva Mendes Brother Carlos Dies of Cancer, He was 53
Eva Mendes lost her older brother Carlos to cancer on April 17.
He was 53.
Carlos was diagnosed with throat cancer two years ago, and according to his younger brother Carlo, “fought with all his might” before passing.
Eva shared the black and white photo above of herself with Carlos to Instagram three weeks ago.
In the caption, she included only a black heart emoji.
Carlo made the announcement on Instagram earlier today.
He posted information about the funeral, which took place on Tuesday.
In the caption, he wrote an ode to his older brother:
“To remember who my brother was and the impact he left on us.
“The amazing person he was, the funny charming genius comedian creative hot tempered crazy calm person that he was.
“I still can’t believe this has happened.
“I’m crying as I write this and I have no idea how to cope with him being gone but I want to thank you all who have reached out to me and believe me when I say your messages make me feel a little bit better.
“My life will never be the same without him. Thank you all.”
Eva has still not posted to social media about her brother’s passing, as the actress is said to be taking a break from the spotlight.
However, we learned earlier this month that that the Hitch star is pregnant with her second child with boyfriend Ryan Gosling.
Our deepest condolences go out to Eva and her family during this difficult time.

And that’s exactly what Emilio Estefan and his wife Gloria Estefan did when creating the song and video We’re All Mexican!

The video also features celebrities such as Kathy Griffin, Whoopi Goldberg, Amaury Nolasco, Eva Longoria, Carlos Ponce, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, and Kate Del Castillo. Oh yeah, and if you peek around 2:08, you’ll see a friendly, familiar face too!
Emilio said of creating the song:
“As immigrants, we have a love and appreciation for this country and for the freedom that it represents. We need to lift up our pride and show the world all the great things we’re doing. I wrote and produced this song to communicate a message of uniting all immigrants, not dividing them.”
We’re All Mexican serves as a metaphor to show that no matter who you are, anyone can be a victim of racism and bigotry much like the Mexicans who’ve been recently targeted by some media outlets as well as political leaders.
