Dancing with the Stars Athletes Season: Cast Revealed!

It seems like an athlete wins nearly every season of Dancing with the Stars, doesn"t it?

Looking ahead to Season 26, however, we can say with absolute certainty:

An athlete WILL win Dancing with the Stars.

This is because the ABC competition will air a special four-week event in which only current and former athletes compete.

Pretty cool concept, right?

With the exception of the inclusion of a certain disgraced figure skater who almost definitely played a role in assaulting her main rival at the Olympics back in the 1990s.

Who are we talking about?

Who are the players set to take Dancing with the Stars field next season? Scroll down. Find out!

1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem abdul jabbar

The NBA’s all-time leading scorer will be paid with Lindsay Arnold as he attempts to dunk all over the competition.

2. Johnny Damon

Johnny damon

Teamed with Emma Slater, the speedy ex-centerfielder will hope to run (and dance!) circles around all his ballroom foes.

3. Tonya Harding

Tonya harding and sasha farber

Tonya Harding is going from the ice to the dance floor… and all other athletes would be well served to don knee braces all season long.

4. Adam Rippon

Adam rippon and jenna johnson

Adam Rippon will partner with Jenna Johnson as one of the only ice skater on Season 26 who did NOT try to take out a rival via physical assault.

5. Josh Norman

Josh norman

The NFL cornerback will have Sharna Burgess by his side when he tries to intercept the chances of anyone else to win this season.

6. Mirai Nagasu

We know Mirai Nagasu can do a triple lutz. But will she and Allen Bersten twirl their way to the Mirrorball Trophy?

Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon Join Dancing With The Stars" All-Athlete Season!

Watch out for your kneecaps! (Kidding!)

Tonya Harding will be on the new season of Dancing With The Stars.

Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson and Olympic figureskater and media darling Adam Rippon will also be joining the cast.

The finale of Dancing With The Stars was last November, and it’s about time that the world learns who’ll be starring on this next season.

Well, Us Weekly reports that Tonya Harding will be one of the “stars” who will be dancing.

Harding was infamous in the ’90s after her ex-husband … who was also her bodyguard … orchestrated a “hit” on Nancy Kerrigan, designed to injure Harding’s rival so that she could not compete.

Harding did not order it herself, and complains that she has been unfairly condemned for it. But she did admit to knowing about the attack before it happened.

It’s worth noting that Kerrigan has competed on Dancing With The Stars before, during season 24.

This will be the dance competition’s first-ever all-athletes season, so this controversial Olympian won’t be alone.

Olympian Adam Rippon made headlines earlier this year over his back-and-forth conflict with Vice President Mike Pence.

Rippon is openly gay, Pence is notorious for holding extremely anti-gay views.

Donald Trump himself has reportedly joked that Pence would prefer to see gay Americans be executed by hanging.

And Pence’s history of espousing extremely conservative views and carrying those beliefs into government speaks for itself.

Rippon, however, turns out to be a media darling, adored by American fans for his unbridled honesty and his sense of humor.

He’ll make a great addition to this upcoming season.

As one of the best figureskaters on the planet, he’ll also be one hell of a dancer.

Jamie Anderson will also be on Dancing With The Stars.

She is an extraordinarily talented snowboarder.

Anderson is one of the top slopestyle riders in the world, and demonstrated this at the Sochii Winter Olympics in 2014 and in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in 2018.

With four gold medals, five silver medals, and two bronze medals, she’s proven that she’s devastating in the snow.

But how will that translate to dance?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Tonya Harding reentered the spotlight recently with the Oscar-nominated film, I, Tonya.

It appears that she hopes that this film can be part of her redemption in the eyes of the public.

“The media had me convicted of doing something wrong before I had even done anything at all,” she lamented last December. “I’m always the bad person.”

Honestly, she hasn’t always done herself that many favors, as she has sometimes taken odd stances in interviews over the years.

It will be interesting to see how well she takes the inevitable jokes at her expense when she appears on Dancing With The Stars.

To be clear, ABC has yet to officially confirm that Harding, Rippon, and Anderson will be on this season.

They’ll announce the full list of “stars” on Friday, April 13th, on Good Morning America.

Considering how interesting these three names are, we have to wonder who else will be among their competition.

And, for that matter, who their dance partners will be.

Scott Disick: Watch Sofia Richie Dancing in Her Underwear!

Scott Disick and Sofia Richie are still together, folks. And they"re looking positively domestic.

The self-described Lord filmed a video of Sofia dancing in panties in his kitchen, as you"ll see below. And she"s dancing to her dad"s music, which adds a whole other complicated layer to this.

You"ll have to decide — is the video fun and festive and playful, or is it creepy?

Your opinion of the video will probably be based on what you think of Scott Disick himself.

Is Scott Disick a creepy older man taking advantage of a teenager … or is he just living out the fantasy of most straight men?

Or, quite frankly, is it both?

(It might be both)

We"ve heard that Lionel Richie hopes that Sofia and Scott split, so we know what side her dad takes in all of this.

Let"s just hope that he misses this particular video.

There"s no questioning that Sofia Richie looks gorgeous.

She"s a 19-year-old model.

Also, she"s dancing around in a santa top and she"s not wearing any pants. But hey, a red top and white panties makes for a festive Christmas color scheme, right?

Scott Disick might be genuinely in love with Sofia … or she might unwittingly be some sort of revenge for Kourtney finding happiness with Younes Bendjima.

In the first part of this video, which Scott decided to share with the world, he appears to be tossing ice cubes, which Sofia is catching and tossing into the sink.

They"re just goofily messing around. If you forget about their huge age gap or how Scott spent most of 2017 before settling on Sofia, you"d think that it"s just a cute video of a girlfriend and boyfriend.

Which is what it is. It"s just that the girlfriend is 19 and the boyfriend is 34.

If you don"t feel like doing math, 19 x 2 is 38, which means that Sofia is literally half the age of Scott"s ex and baby mama, Kourtney Kardashian.

At the same time, though, Sofia"s an adult. Are critics of the relationship infantalizing an adult woman who can make her own decisions?

It"s the second part of the video — where the dancing puts her panties on full display for the camera and therefore for Scott"s many, many followers — that really has people talking.

Sofia"s dancing looks great, don"t get us wrong. And she has very muscular legs.

But she"s dancing to her dad"s music — when Lionel Richie is scared to death by her current relationship.

A little awkward, even if she claims that her dad totally supports her relationship choices.

The creepiness level — Scott filming a teenager"s sexy dance while her father"s voice sings — may be more unnerving than their age gap, quite frankly.

Scott Disick is a complicated man. More complicated than you"d imagine for a dude who drank and banged his way through 2017 in order to try to get over a breakup.

And Sofia, despite her youth, is an adult. She has actual thoughts and feelings and desires of her own, and perhaps shouldn"t be reduced to "Scott Disick"s hapless girl-toy."

When you watch this video below, which version of their relationship do you see?

A cute couple celebrating the holidays or a man showing off his nubile young conquest, flaunting her in the faces of everyone he dislikes?

And, again, might it be both?

Dancing With the Stars Finale Results: The Winner Is ...

Dancing With the Stars’ 25th season has come to an end.

Monday night, Drew Scott was eliminated, leaving Lindsey Stirling, Frankie Muniz and Jordan Fisher as the last three celebrities standing.

Who hoisted the Mirrorball trophy to close out 2017?

Let’s break down the final performances of the season…

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – Jive – “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham!

Lindsey and Mark went with one of their more popular numbers for the repeat round. Before the performance, Lindsey opened up about her struggle with anorexia and depression, before taking to the stage.

What was great about this round was that it let them put all of the comments from the judges back when they performed the number into this new iteration of it.

It secured the duo a perfect score, and it was well deserved. They were simply breathtaking.

Score: 40/40

In the dance fusion round, they went with a Cha Cha/ Tango Fusion, and it was, once again, a rock-solid performance from the duo. Given that they had a mere 24 hours to learn it, they performed it well.

Score: 30/30

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Argentine Tango – “Angelica” from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

It’s crazy to imagine that Frankie could have been clipped early on in the season. He has taken all of the feedback on board and wanted to ensure he performed to the best of his ability.

Despite several meanders along the way, his first performance on finale night was excellent. Everything about it was polished, and the movements were on point.

Score: 30/30

They then performed the Foxtrot/ Tango for their dance fusion section, and it slowed down considerably. They had 24 hours to learn it, and that was pretty obvious.

It was not as good as their first number of the night, and their score suffered as a result.

Score: 28/30

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold Samba – “Mi Gente” by J. Baldwin and Willy William

Jordan is the gift that keeps on giving. He has dealt with a whole lot of rejection in his life, so being on the stage and getting perfect scores must be a good feeling for him.

It was almost as though the judges were running out of things to say about him because, well, he had been getting praise all season long.

Score: 30/30

Jordan’s final performance with Lindsay was a Salsa/Paso Doble fusion, and it was another delightful performance for the pair. If these two don’t win, then there will be hell to pay.

Score: 30/30

Can we just stop for a second and chat about how much filler the episode had? Yes, we know the holidays are coming, but we could have done without half of the stuff that happened.

As expected, Frankie and Witney secured third place in the competition.

Then, we found out that Jordan and Lindsay secured the win over Lindsey and Mark!

That’s a wrap on Season 25! What do you think of the results?

Dancing With the Stars Results: Who Will Make the Final Four?

Dancing with the Stars Season 25 is already past the midway point, and the competition is becoming tougher with each passing week.

Heading into the home stretch, only Drew Scott, Victoria Arlen, Lindsey Stirling, Frankie Muniz and Jordan Fisher remain in the field.

Who would survive to dance another week?

Let’s break down the routines!

Drew Scott and Emma Slater – Tango – “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by The Proclaimers

Is it just us or has Drew continued to go from strength-to-strength? Who would have thought he would be in the final five after his mediocre performance earlier in the season? The duo clearly wanted to do something different, and that explains the song choice.

They were both in sync, and it was apparent they wanted to go out dancing if this was their final night.

Score: 24/30

The duo then tried to copy a routine that was first performed in Season 17. It was originally performed by Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff with Witney Carson. The surprising thing was that Drew managed to keep up with Emma.

You would not believe they were copying another performance entirely. They made it their own.

Score: 24/30

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy – Contemporary – “To Build a Home” by Cinematic Orchestra feat. Patrick Watson

This performance was one of those ones that will be remembered for years to come. The chemistry was off the charts, and it was hands down their best performance of the season.

After weeks of circling the drain, they found an exciting way to show off their talent together. The judges were enamored with it.

Score: 27/30

They then moved on to perform a routine by Amber Riley and Derek Hough from Season 17, and that was an even better fit for them. Maybe they should have been looking the back catalog of solid performances.

This was the type of performance that deserved a perfect score, but it got close to it.

Score: 29/30

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – Argentine Tango – “Brother” by NEEDTOBREATHE feat. Gavin DeGraw

These two have been the ones to watch all season long, so it’s difficult to watch them fluff their performance in such a manner. The chemistry was just not there during this performance. Did they have an on-set incident or something?

They still secured praise from the judges because of their other performances this season.

Score: 28/30

Things improved when they performed an old Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas number, and it was almost like they fixed what was wrong because it gave them another perfect score!

Score: 30/30

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – Contemporary – “Head High” by Alexander Jean

Mark went with a song from his own band with his wife. He was not trying to plug it, we hope. There was something emotional about the whole performance. Maybe it’s because he and Lindsay have struggled to become frontrunners this season.

They were in sync throughout and proved that they had taken all of their feedback on board which is all we can ask for at this stage.

Score: 29/30

Their chemistry continued to be off the charts in a rehash of Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Season 18 dance number. They went all-out with their costumes, proving they had something to prove.

Score: 28/30

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Salsa – “Shake” by Yin Yang Twins and Pitbull

These two have yearned for a place further up the leaderboard all season long, but this song was not the best choice for them. It had the potential to make them sink or swim, and they did something around the middle.

The judges noted that Frankie was trying to make the performance work, but it did not happen for them.

Score: 25/30

Their iconic dance performance took us all the way back to Season 4 for a number from Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough. They went for a step-by-step rehash of it, and it failed in part due to Frankie not being able to keep up with Apolo’s fast-paced moves.

Score: 26:30

Victoria and Val and Frankie and Witney found themselves in the bottom two after the performances, and Victoria and Val were let go. It was a real shame when you consider that they gave it their all during this performance episode.

What do you think about all of it?

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Got TWO Perfect Scores?!

One duo has emerged as the ones to watch as we approach the conclusion of Dancing with the Stars Season 25.

They managed to score two perfect scores, solidifying their status as the best dancers in the competition, but who lost their place in the competition?

Was it another shocking elimination?

Let’s break down the performances!

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke Charleston – “Bad Boy, Good Man” by Tape Five (feat. Henrik Wager)

Terrell Owens had a lot to prove on the episode. He needed to prove that remaining in the competition was the best move, and nothing could prepare us for his fast-paced moves.

Despite a hiccup in rehearsals, it was a wonderful performance that solidified his status as a competitor.

Score: 27/30

The trio round found the duo joining forces with Kelly Monaco and performing the Ruma to “Slow Hands” by Niall Horan. It did not work as a trio number, and it proved that sticking to a duo is still the best way to go.

Score: 24/30

Drew Scott and Emma Slater – Waltz – “Both Sides Now (Torch Songs)” by Years & Years

Drew and Emma have been all over the place throughout Season 25. Every time it seems they are ready to become contenders, they find themselves put back down the leaderboard.

Their most recent performance was not great. For this part of the competition, they should be doing better. Drew’s confidence is rearing its ugly head, and that will likely send them out of the competition quickly.

Score: 22/30

Rashad Jennings joined them for the trio round, and they performed the Cha Cha to “Get Up Offa That Thing” by James Brown. It was a much better performance. But Drew struggled to keep up, and they were gifted with a better score than they should have been.

Score: 25/30

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy – Argentine Tango – “Down” by Marian Hill

Victoria wanted to prove that she was a worthy competitor to win the trophy, and that involved her oozing some sex appeal into her performance.

The performance was decent, but it was very clear she was uncomfortable, and that hindered them from emerging from the pack

Score: 24/30

Laurie Hernandez joined forces with them for the trio round, and they performed the Jive to “Magic” by B.o.B. This one was intriguing because Laurie and Val won together.

There was a severe lack of fluidity from Victoria, and that could prove detrimental to her winning the whole competition.

Score: 24/30

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas – Samba – “Morning Drums” by Gregor Salto

Lindsay was a woman on a mission during the latest episode of this ABC juggernaut. She was ready to prove that she could rise from the doldrums, and she did so in winning fashion.

Her pain appears to be well and truly gone, and her performance with Mark benefited from it. Their timing was on point, and that’s the most integral part of the competition.

Score: 26/30

Kristi Yamaguchi returned to the stage after nine years for the trio number, and it was a resounding success. They went with the Jazz to “Let’s Face the Music and Dance” by Seth McFarlane.

Everything felt very fluid, and the three danced very well.

Score: 28/30

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Viennese Waltz – “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran

Frankie’s dancing has been up and down over the past few weeks and he wanted to come out roaring after his Halloween spectacular. While it was fun, it lacked the finesse of their previous efforts.

Score: 26/30

Alfonso Ribeiro joined in the fun at the trio round. They performed the Jive to “Good Place” by Leo Soul. Alfonso noted straight off the bat that Frankie needed to be more confident if he wanted to win the competition.

These words of wisdom helped and Frankie emerged as the best part of this trio.

Score: 27/30

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – Quickstep – “Chuck Berry” by Pharrell Williams

Jordan has already proved that he is the best dancer of the season, and the judges were enamored with his latest performance. Knowing a thing or two about dancing works wonders.

The performance was one of the best of the season.

Score: 30/30

Fellow Disney actor, Corbin Bleu joined them in the trio dance. They all got along like a house on fire and Lindsay wanted to make sure they were all on the same page.

All three of them were in sync, and the judges lapped up the performance. It was delightful.

Score: 30/30

Terrell and Cheryl and Frankie and Witney were revealed to be in danger. Yes, we were shocked to the very core about Frank and Witney, but they lived to dance another day.

Terrell and Cheryl lost their place in the competition!

What did you think of the dances?

Dancing with the Stars Fans Cry "SEXISM!" Over Latest Results

Dancing with the Stars treated viewers to quite a treat the night before Halloween, as two contestants were sent packing on Monday night.

Indeed, the ABC competition scared up a stunner when both Nikki Bella and Vanessa Lachey were eliminated.

The results were announced not long after Bella and partner Artem Chigvintsev earned 24 points for their Jive and after Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy earned the same score for their Paso Doble.

Not great tallies.

But not terrible ones, either.

(This special Halloween installment also featured the first team dances of Season 25.

Team Monster Mash – including Jordan, Lindsey, Terrell and Nikki – scored 24 out of 30; and Team Phantom of the Ballroom – comprised of Victoria, Frankie, Drew and Vanessa – earned 30 out of 30.)

At the end of the episode, some viewers were left shocked that two stars got the boot – while others were left shocked over which two got the boot.

Specifically, a contingent of the Internet believes the gender of these stars played a key role in their elimination.

Yes, Dancing with the Stars is now facing accusations of sexism.

“An extremely sexist show!!!” someone with the handle @Mieczyslaw wrote after witnessing a pair of early-season favorites go home, adding:

“This protection with male artists must end!”

We had no idea such a protection existed.

Has Dancing with the Stars been under a sexism microscope in the past?

“I’m sorry but the two eliminated teams from #DWTS got screwed,” @kmf409 Tweeted. “I think there are two male stars who should have gone before either.”

It appears as if a number of fans think Terrell Owns and/or Drew Scott should have been eliminated long before either Lachey or Bella.

Especially when you consider that Scott took a tumble on stage last night.

“#DWTS really there is no way Terrell and Drew should of stayed over Nikki and Vanessa,” exclaimed @tylllah92, who believed the results to be “straight BS.”

The user @reneesbellas agrees:

“PLEASE do not try to come for me and tell me Drew Scott & [Terrell] deserved to stay over Nikki Bella & Vanessa Lachey That’s a damn lie.”

And while not every critic believes sexism was to blame for this outcome, some pointed to long-standing chatter that Dancing with the Stars is rigged.

“Never believed in the rumours of #DWTS being rigged until this season & I’m not just being petty…,” one Twitter user wrote of the latest elimination, while another chimed in as follows:

“Rigged. Nikki Bella was cheated. We know her fan base and scores.”

Who would rig the show?

Why would he or she rig it against Vanessa and Nikki? It’s unclear.

Are you buying any of these claims?

Do you think there was anything legitimately fishy about these eliminations? Sound off now!

Vanessa Lachey: Did She Fake Wardrobe Malfunction on Dancing With the Stars?

Vanessa Lachey has proven she’s a force to be reckoned with on Dancing with the Stars.

While she and her dance partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy, have apparently had their fair shares of ups and downs, it appears that they have buried the hatchet in favor of winning the coveted trophy.

For Vanessa, winning would mean she would stay relevant for another few months, and she definitely has the skill to make it further into the competition.

During the most recent episode, Vanessa suffered a wardrobe malfunction that resulted in her dress ripping during her routine.

It was perfectly timed because the cameras were very much on her.

Some fans have questioned whether she orchestrated the whole thing herself to keep her name in the media.

While it’s common for people on reality TV to want to milk the exposure to the bitter end, we have no idea whether Vanessa would go that low.

According to Star Magazine, Vanessa knew what she was doing, and did it to advance further into the competition.

Vanessa’s dance last night was flawless, but her skirt ripping off was totally staged!” the tipster dished to the publication.

“She is so thirsty to win now that she is willing to do anything to stay on air,” the source continued.

“She isn’t stupid. Before Vanessa was a celebrity in her own right, she was an entertainment news reporter, so she definitely knows how to make headlines.”

While it’s a fair assumption to make about Vanessa’s previous line of work, it is difficult to imagine her essentially stripping off on live television to get people talking about her.

If she did go that far, it would show the world what her character is really like.

There were rumors earlier this month that her place in the competition was in jeopardy when Val grew tired of her diva behavior.

“Vanessa is the boss and likes submissive men that do what she tells them to do,” a source revealed to Star at the time.

“She wants to choreograph her own dances, select her own music and even design her own costumes.”

What do you think about all of this? Could the star really be trying to craft a controversial path to glory?

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Got the First Perfect Score?

Disney Week made its way to Dancing with the Stars, and there was no fairytale ending for the celebrities on this special night of the ABC reality series.

With one couple definitely going home, tensions were at an all-time high, but one couple managed to get a perfect score, so it wasn’t all bad.

Let’s briefly break down the performances of the night, so we can establish who did not make it through to the next heat of the competition.

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy

After emotions ran a little too high, this performance was all about bringing the fun back to the forefront, and that was a good thing. You could tell Victoria was in a much better place than she was last week. They threw it all the way back to 1928 for a homage to Steamboat Willie.

She and Val fit together like a glove, and their performance was a well-choreographed one that proved they have been taking feedback on board.

Score: 27/30!

Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy:

Vanessa and Maks have been solid dancers all season long, and despite some alleged behind the scenes drama, they do work well together.

However, they aren’t exactly offering anything new with their performances. With some of the other couples going from strength-to-strength, this pair appears to be stuck in a rut.

That’s not to say their waltz was terrible. They just need to change things up a little.

They could have done so much different with their Snow White and the Seven Dwarves inspired performance.

Score: 24/30!

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas

Lindsay claimed she always wanted to be a Disney princess, and it sounded like the judges agreed that she would make a great one.

The jazz from the couple won rave reviews from them, and Len even handed them out a 10. When does that ever happen with Len? He’s always got something negative to say.

Score: 28/30!

Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd

Being at the bottom of the scoreboard is not the best place to be, and Nick knew there was a lot riding on his performance. The couple performed the quickstep, and you could tell it took its toll on Nick.

The Jungle Book is a great movie, and now, we will probably never watch it again thanks to Nick’s wooden performance.

By the end, he looked like he wanted to take a nap on the stage, and the judges picked up on it.

Score: 22/30!

Drew Scott and Emma Slater

Drew and Emma have had a lot of chemistry going for them since the season kicked off, and that always seems to go in their favor. The went with a fun performance inspired by The Muppets Movie.

The waltz garnered them some praise from the judges, and they really deserved it.

Score: 25/30!

Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko

This duo went with the rumba inspired by The Little Mermaid, and it was a delight. Sasha struggled with nerves earlier in the season, and has been improving every single week.

The judges took note, with Carrie saying she was “mesmerized” by the whole display. Even Len gave another positive comment. What’s going on?

Score: 24/30!

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke

All of the performances seemed much better than recent ones, and Terrell’s was inspired by The Lion King. The whole performance was full of memorable moments, and Terrell managed to dance very well given the big height difference between him and Cheryl.

They secured their highest score of the season, and it was well deserved.

Score: 25/30!

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson

While his short-term memory may not be all that, Frankie’s short-term one is good because he continues to be one of the best dancers. The duo went with a tango to The Pirates of the Caribbean.

The performance would have definitely secured a perfect score had Witney’s heel not caught in her dress.

Score: 29/30!

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold

Jordan knows a lot about Disney, and that’s because he has been in the family for a long time. He performed a foxtrot to his song “You’re Welcome” from Moana.

It was flawless, and the judges seemed to think it was the best performance of the season. They were right. It secured them a perfect score.

Score: 30/30!

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev

Nikki went with the upcoming move, Coco, as her inspiration, and it was a refreshing mix of style, confidence, and chemistry with Artem. It was a real surprise, and Len called it Nikki’s best dance yet.

Score: 27/30!

Sasha Pieterse & Gleb Savchenko, and Frankie Muniz & Witney Carson found themselves in the bottom two. No, that’s not a joke. In the end, Sasha and Gleb were sent packing.

It’s not up there with the Heather Morris elimination, but it sure was shocking. Nick Lachey should have been the one to go!

Dancing with the Stars continues next Monday on ABC!

Vanessa Lachey Details Near-Death Experience on Dancing with the Stars, Rumbas Through Partner Rivalry

Vanessa Lachey could not hold back her emotion on Dancing with the Stars last night.

But the tears this competitor shed had nothing to do with the alleged feud between her and Maks Chmerkovskiy.

Instead, they had everything to do with the time Lachey nearly died.

First, a quick refresher:

Last week, multiple sources claimed Lachey and Chmerkovskiy actively hated each other, with one source telling Us Weekly there’s constant “fighting” when the cameras are off and that each half of this partnership is “miserable.”

This tabloid cites dueling stubborn personalities for the basis of these disagreements.

Neither Vanessa nor Maks have really commented on the rumor of a rivalry, but the latter did skip last Monday’s performance show, raising some major eyebrows around the Internet.

He later apologized.

“As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted on Wednesday, adding:

“I take full responsibility for my actions and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa.

“We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!”

And dance they did on Monday evening, doing the Rumba on an episode that episode featured the celebrities’ most memorable years.

As part of the pre-taped package before they took to the live stage, Lachey explained why this has been her most memorable year:

Because she nearly died right before it started.

“I was in the hospital on bed rest and then my water broke. I was only 29 weeks,” Lachey explained to Chmerkovskiy about what transpired with her son, Phoenix.

Husband Nick Lachey, who is also a contestant on Season 25, was featured in the video as well.

“I’ll never forget. She called me in a panic: ‘They’re taking me in for an emergency surgery. Get here as quick as you can,’” he said.

Vanessa remembers every detail of the harrowing experience.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” Lachey said, crying at this point.

She then went out and danced to a track sang by her husband.

“This song got us through some really tough times and helped us bond even closer as a family,” Vanessa explained.

Watch Vanessa and Maks crush their Rumba!!!!!!!!!!

Did the supposed feud between herself and Chmerkovskiy affect the routine?

Or the raw emotion of the moment?

Not really, as the tandem earned 24 points out of a possible 30.

On a related note, we send the very best to Vanessa, Nick and their kids.

What a scary experience for everyone involved. We’re just glad Lachey is doing okay these days.

Dancing WIth the Stars Recap: Who Danced to the Top?

Which year was the most memorable for the dancers?

That was the big question on the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars, and they opened up about it before hitting up the ballroom for some elegant dances.

Which couple was clipped right before the close of the episode?

Get up to speed on all the routines below.

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson – Quickstep – “Adventure of a Lifetime” by Coldplay

Frankie is a talented actor, race car driver and rock & roll drummer. He can now add dancer to that list because his performance throughout this season has been reliable.

He opened up about his favorite year being 2017 because he has suffered nine concussions in his life and several mini-strokes in his life. On top of that, he has some significant memory problems and cannot recall several key moments from his earlier years.

“It makes me a little sad,” said Muniz. “Things pop back into my mind [that] I should have remembered.”

The performance was solid, serving as a great return to form after last week’s mediocre one.

Score: 24/30

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke – Viennese Waltz – “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston

Terrell had a lot to say about the year 2012, and that’s because it is the year he lost his Grandmother. She was the one who raised him to become the fine man he is today and she done an awesome job with him.

He and Cheryl turned in their best performance of the season. It was fluid, and clear they had taken on all of the feedback given to them by the judges.

Score: 24/30

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev – Contemporary – “Fight Song” by Rachel Platten

Nikki had a rough 2016 because that was the year her neck was allegedly going to snap in half and threatened to end her career. She managed to get strong again in just seven months, and it proved she was a solid competitor.

The song choice was appropriate when you consider what the woman has gone through over the last year, and her performance benefited from it.

Score: 24/30

Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd – Contemporary – “Falling Slowly” by Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard

Nick went with the year 2011, the year he and Vanessa got hitched. We’re surprised he never went with the first year he was on that reality show with Jessica.

Remember the time she quizzed him about the tuna and chicken? That was reality TV gold.

The performance was more of the same from Nick. He is still wooden and trying too hard to do something he lacks the skill to do. Peta continued to be a delight.

Score: 22/30

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas –  Viennese Waltz – “Anchor” by Mindy Gledhill

Lindsey went with the year her father died and crafted a dance that found a young girl dancing with her father. To get into character, he even wore one of Lindsey’s father’s scarf.

Yes, it all sounds a little out there, but it resulted in Lindsey’s best performance of the season. The judges loved it and it, reflected in the scores.

Score: 26/30

Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess – Jazz – “Move on Up” by Curtis Mayfield

Derek went through hell when he learned his daughter had eye cancer at just ten months old. With experimental surgery on the table, he chatted about handing his daughter over to have the surgery.

It was a harrowing story and one that had some light at the end. It did result in a more polished performance, but he is still not fully in sync with Sharna, and that’s not a good thing.

Score: 23/30

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold – Contemporary – “Take Me Home” by Us The Duo

Jordan was officially adopted by his grandparents in 2005, and he planned to show off how he felt about it with a dance routine. As always Jordan killed it.

The judges seemed astounded by the technique and the routine as a whole.

Score: 29/30

Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko Foxtrot, “Over My Head (Cable Car)” by The Fray

Sasha opened up earlier this season about the comments about her weight due to her health issues. It came to a head in 2016 when Pretty Little Liars wrapped filming, and she struggled to get a new gig.

Her boyfriend proposed to her, and it helped her put things in perspective.

Sasha continued to show a marked improvement vs. her performance in week one, and it helped her and Gleb off the bottom of the leaderboard.

Score: 24/30

Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Rumba – “Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)” by Nick Lachey

Vanessa’s big life moment was giving birth to her child at 29 weeks, and not knowing how to process all of it. These stories are real heartbreaking tonight.

Unfortunately, we did not get any of the details on what really happened between Vanessa and Maks, but at least they were back together tonight.

Their performance was not quite as polished as some of their earlier ones. They did a dance to one of Nick’s songs, so it did make for an interesting watch.

Score: 24/30

Drew Scott and Emma Slater – Jive – “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen

Drew struggled in 2007 when his acting career did not take off, so he got his brother to work with him on a little show called Property Brothers. And that show is still a roaring success.

Their dance seemed like a normal one, but then Jonathan appeared on the stage to dance along with them. What the heck is going on this season?

Score: 24/30

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy – Foxtrot – “I Lived” by OneRepublic

Victoria’s whole life has been memorable, and that’s because her illness came out of nowhere and there was a chance she was never going to emerge from her vegetative state.

Her dance tonight was an ode to her life, and everything about it was flawless. The judges lapped it up.

Score: 27/30

The couples in danger of elimination were Nick and Peta and Derek and Sharna. Just when it seemed like there was hope for Derek and Sharna, they lost their spot.

What do you think about this?
