The Bachelor Finale Recap: Are You F--king Kidding Me?!
Whether you hate him or really hate him, Arie Luyendyk Jr. will go down in The Bachelor history books after this epic three-hour finale.
Who did he choose, Becca Kufrin or Lauren Burnham … and what happened after that? Were The Bachelor spoilers correct all along?
Before we could find out if said Bachelor spoilers were on point, the remaining two ladies got to meet Arie’s family, seeking their approval.
Lauren Burnham hit it off with the Luyendyks, while Becca Kufrin seemed more shaken by the high stakes as decision day drew near.
Yet Arie’s family eventually gravitated toward Becca as the woman they saw a future with for their son. And Luyendyk seemed to agree.
As both ladies prepared for their last dates of the season, he seemed like he had made up his mind, but this is Arie we’re talking about.
Lauren went from long shot to even money, overnight.
After she finally opened up to him and talked about a future together that he envisioned in much the same way, Lauren turned a corner.
Arie was clearly infatuated with the 25-year-old all season long, but wondered if she would truly become vulnerable and let him in.
It wasn’t until this date that she did, and it made him question everything. Finally, he could picture himself spending a lifetime with her.
BUT … then it was time for Becca’s final date, and well, she’s the same, pretty, funny, smart, authentic girl next door she’s always been.
She got the nod … and the final rose, and the ring.
Prior to his proposal to the 27-year-old Becca, of course, Arie had to break up with Lauren, who was expecting a proposal herself.
Suffice it to say, she did not receive this well.
Apparently, neither did he … because he remained obsessed with Lauren, around the clock. This was after his engagement to Becca.
As weeks went by after he popped the question, Arie’s thoughts turned to Lauren, not the girl he’d gotten down on one knee for.
Becca was absolutely over the moon at the final rose ceremony, and afterward. But his heart was elsewhere, and he knew it.
He made a mistake, he told the cameras, and as painful as it is to admit it, he has to follow his heart and end the engagement.
So it was time to blindside Becca … on TV.
In a hilariously overhyped yet nevertheless gripping sequence, producers filmed the breakup and aired it, unedited, in a split screen.
The footage was as raw and uncut as The Bachelor – or any reality show – has ever aired, and Becca’s pain was devastating to witness.
Arie tried to let her down gently, but there was no chance of that. The f-bombs flew. The tears flowed. The awkward silences lingered.
Caroline Lunny’s comment on last week’s “Women Tell All” special that she “knows what Arie did” sure makes a lot more sense now.
So does the odd emphasis on Arie falling in love with two women, and ABC’s relentless promotion of this historic, unexpected event.
It was nothing short of savage. Brutal.
Seeing this story play out in real time was unlike anything we can compare it to – Chris Harrison was right about that – and it didn’t end there.
There are two more hours to go, and we’ve yet to hear from the beautiful woman Arie couldn’t get out of his mind, Lauren herself.
Stay tuned.

Miss USA Kára McCullough: Just Kidding About Those Health Care Comments!
On Sunday night, Kára McCullough was crowned Miss USA.
It was a pretty neat win, considering that Kára is a nuclear scientist beauty queen, but when comments that she’d made during the competition began circulating widely …
Well, it got a little less neat.
During the question-and-answer segment, Kára was asked if health care in America is a privilege or a right, and her answer shocked many.
“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege,” she said, going on to explain that “As a government employee, I’m granted health care.”
“And I see firsthand that for one, to have health care, you need to have jobs, so therefore we need to continue to cultivate this environment so that we’re given the opportunities to have health care as well as jobs for all Americans worldwide.”
It’s a questionable stance — just check out Jimmy Kimmel’s story about his newborn son that required heart surgery soon after birth if you’re having trouble understanding why.
Of course it would be wonderful if everyone could have jobs and afford health care, but that’s not the reality, and people shouldn’t have to suffer or die because of that.
In addition to the health care statement, Kára also had some strange words when asked about feminism.
“As a woman scientist in the government,” she said, “I’d like to lately transpose the word feminism to equalism. I don’t really consider myself — try not to consider myself like this die-hard, you know, like ‘Oh, I don’t really care about men."”
That’s not what feminism is anyway, but OK, honey, sure.
Kára went on to add that “One thing I’m gonna say, though, is women, we are just as equal as men when it comes to opportunity in the workplace …”
“And I say firsthand: I have witnessed the impact that women have in leadership in the medical sciences, as well as just in the office environment.”
“So as Miss USA, I would hope to promote that type of leadership responsibility globally to so many women worldwide.”
Yes, so as you can imagine, these statements didn’t go over so well.
And so now our brand new Miss USA is trying to spin that mess into some positivity in the form of a new interview with E! News.
About the backlash, Kára said “That’s what life is about. You have to roll with the punches. When challenges are thrown your way, you have to understand how to maneuver around them.”
“I think having that mindset comes with loving science so much.”
When asked about those controversial questions during the pageant, she said that “They were about social issues going on in our nation and I think it’s wonderful that we’re able to answer them as well as start conversations about these types of issues.”
“Of course, no one wants backlash,” she added. “No one wants to be talked about badly. That’s the beauty of life.”
“We’re given that opportunity to share our opinions and as long as we can continue to keep this open dialogue and have people integrating and sharing ideas, everyone’s minds are really going to expand.”
And then, naturally, she took the chance to “clarify” her statements about health care.
“As a woman,” she began, “I will own up to what I said. I would love to clarify the points on that answer.”
“Essentially, yes. I am privileged to have health care and I’m extremely thankful for it. I do believe affordable health care should be a right to all.”
“I know as Miss USA, promoting a healthy lifestyle is a message I want to get across as well.”
So is she claiming that instead of saying that health care is a privilege, she meant to say that she’s privileged to have health care?
It’s a little confusing, but at least she’s saying now that affordable health care is important.
We want to love you, Miss USA. Please just let us love you.

Mackenzie McKee on Briana DeJesus Joining Teen Mom 2: You Kidding Me, Bruh?!
Mackenzie McKee is NOT thrilled about Briana DeJesus joining Teen Mom 2, in large part because she claims MTV picked Bri over her.
There’s not a lot of love lost between the one-time cast members of 16 & Pregnant and even more short-lived Teen Mom 3, apparently.
The other four Teen Mom 2 cast members are pissed at MTV over the fact that DeJesus is joining as well, but for an obvious reason:
Five people means fewer screen time than four, and they’ve got a good thing going now. Why add a new girl to the mix now, in 2017?
For McKee, she’s upset that it’s not her entering the fray.
“They interviewed me and Bri two months ago, but chose her,” Mackenzie, who is somehow only 22 years old, told Radar this week.
“I thought, ‘This can’t be true!’ I was confused.”
Oh, but it is true, though we can see why McKee, who has been involved in no shortage of ridiculous drama over the years, was surprised.
She believes her massive social media following better qualified her for the very public reality TV role, and there’s no arguing the numbers.
The personal trainer and mother of three currently boasts 617,000 Instagram followers to DeJesus’ 87,000, a more than 7-to-1 margin.
“I think the amount of following difference is shocking,” she told the celebrity gossip site, really driving home how key she thinks this is.
“I’ve been consistent with followers. She deleted her social media once; I helped her get her following back. And here she is on Teen Mom!”
In addition, Mackenzie points out, she’s currently working on multiple projects in her life, making her the ideal Teen Mom 2 cast member.
It’s unclear what those are, but she feels she’s “earned” it.
“I have worked very hard for where I am. I’m working on all this stuff and what has she done? She’s not working on anything,” she said.
“It sucks the one who has been working harder didn’t get it.”
Again, we have no idea what work she’s been doing makes her so qualified, but McKee threw out an interesting theory as to why she lost out.
“I hope MTV didn’t choose her over me because I am married and have three kids with the same guy,” Mackenzie lamented in her interview.
“The different baby daddies is what people are interested in.”
DeJesus, 22, is the mother of Nova, 5, and currently expecting a second child by a father whose identity has yet to be revealed publicly.
Think that’s why MTV wanted her back in the fold?
On the one hand, it’s true that makes for compelling TV, but Kailyn Lowry is already pregnant by a mystery man. She’s got that covered.
Beyond that, Mackenzie claiming her personal life is too stable for the network is laughable, given the drama she’s often wrapped up in.
She recently split from Josh McKee, her husband and the father of her kids, after he accused Mackenzie of cheating on him on Facebook.
According to Mackenzie, they are now back together.
We’re happy for them if so, but this is also a woman who reported planted rumors of a Mackenzie McKee sex tape in order to stay relevant.
Our point is that if MTV wanted drama, she could provide plenty of it … but she may have overplayed her hand and come across as thirsty.
Washed-up reality stars troll the Internet for attention all the time, but the Mack has a bigger reputation for doing so than most. Just saying.
Despite McKee’s incredulous reaction, DeJesus reportedly has already started filming scenes for the next season of the MTV hit series.
Briana herself has yet to confirm this, for what it’s worth.

Kanye West on Scott Disick Hollering at Amber Rose: U Kidding Me Bruh?!
Kanye West was reportedly far from pleased at Scott Disick’s (alleged) ties to his ex Amber Rose, sources close to the rapper report.
In typical ‘Ye fashion, however, he may have jumped the gun with a very strong reaction to a situation he didn’t have all the facts on …
Amid reports of Scott Disick and Amber Rose hanging out, Kanye “lost all respect” for Kourtney Kardashian’s estranged baby daddy.
By befriending Rose even a little bit, the Lord is disrespecting himself, his family and especially Kim Kardashian, at least in the eyes of ‘Ye.
“Out of all the women in the world, Scott wants to connect with Amber? Who does that? Scott should know better,” a West source says.
“Kanye doesn’t care that Amber is his ex,” the insider adds.
Rather, “he cares that Amber has disrespected Kim time and time again and that Scott should be loyal to Kim at all costs.”
“If it were not for Kim, Scott wouldn’t have a career.”
While Kanye’s assessment of Kim’s influence on the world is hilariously over the top, he does have something of a point here.
Where would Disick be without the Kards overall?
Allegedly, “Kanye’s demanding Scott return all the YEEZY Boosts and clothing he’s given him from his collections at once!”
“Scott’s not worthy of wearing the King’s priceless clothing. He doesn’t want to see Scott in his clothing within two miles of Amber Rose.”
“That would tarnish his brand and he doesn’t want that.”
“Perhaps Scott should try on some of Amber’s clothing, like the jumpsuit she wore with all the derogatory words on it at the [VMAs].”
“That’s a better look for Scott.”
Hilarious as these likely fake quotes are, and sadly for all of us in the gossip biz, it doesn’t look like a Disick-Rose romance is going to take.
Let’s recap the facts here, not the rumors:
Chris Brown was the man who introduced Scott to Amber, whose “body is banging and [who’s] got an ass that makes a grown man cry.”
That may be, but she’s too hard core for Scott’s taste, and Rose even denied trying to stir up any drama on Instagram (on this front).
From Amber, that’s the most telling sign.
We all know she will throw down with Kanye or anyone else in epic fashion and will never back down from a diss or a feud if motivated.
If she were hollering … she would own it.
As for the still-short-tempered West, we have no doubt he would be upset about Scott and Amber banging, but it just ain’t happening.
Too bad / phew.

The Dalai Lama -- Ugly Chicks Can"t Do My Job ... And I"m Not Kidding (VIDEO)
Z STAFF
The Dalai Lama is doubling down on his jaw-dropping comments about a woman eventually stepping into his shoes — insisting she better be hot if she wants his gig.
TDL was talking to a BBC reporter about an interview he did years and years ago, where he said, “If a female Dalai Lama comes, their face should be very attractive.”
Check out the new video — the BBC reporter is clearly uncomfortable and thinks the Dalai’s gotta be joking, but the Buddhist spiritual leader stood his ground … and, believe it or not, probably made it worse.
The Dalai Lama frequently refers to himself as a feminist. He just has a funny way of showing it.
