Sarah Hyland Rails Against Plastic Surgery Rumors, Makes Surprising Bisexual Admission
Sarah Hyland may make viewers laugh for a living as a series regular on Modern Family.
But there’s something the young actress does not find funny at all.
And that something is this: Chatter around the Internet that she’s undergone plastic surgery.
On Wednesday, the 26-year-old actress went off on an article that featured “plastic surgery experts” weighing in on whether she had work done.
The article was included within the pages of supermarket tabloid Life & Style.
“THIS MAKES ME SO MAD to have [doctors] give their opinion ON MY FACE is absolutely ridiculous and degrading,” she tweeted. “F-ck off.”
Citing medical concerns, just like she did back when she slammed talk that she’s anorexic, Hyland continued to blast the erroneous plastic surgery claim, adding via Twitter:
“I have had the worst medical year of my life and to create an entire article surrounding the question of if I’ve had plastic surgery is the MOST insulting thing.
“Adding insult to injury, you have NO IDEA what I have been through. And I have somewhat addressed these rumors already.”
Following this message, the Modern Family star went on to send along numerous videos of herself in a face mask.
“Hey @Life_and_Style. Got some work done tonight. Going for a new look… gonna write about this now?” she joked in one of the captions.
Although we all know there was real vitriol behind this so-called joke.
Later, Hyland used the hashtag “#FakeNews” when sharing another photo of herself in this mask.
Prior to defending her face, Hyland also wrote back to a fan who asked about the sexuality of her character, Haley Dunphy, on the aforementioned ABC hit sitcom.
When asked if Haley is bisexual, the actress responded as follows:
“I don’t know what the writers would say? But I confirm.”
Interesting. We’ve never really heard that possibility bantered about before.
It’s sort of a random question to ask and answer, considering Hyland’s Haley has never dated a woman.
Her most prominent relationships over the course of eight-plus seasons have been with Dylan and Andy, both of whom are of the opposite sex.
But perhaps Hyland is teasing a storyline to come on Modern Family Season 9?
Guess we’ll need to tune in to find out.
In real life, meanwhile, Hyland appears to be dating Wells Adams.

Ariana Grande Rails Against Mac Miller Fan Who Objectified, Degraded Her
Ariana Grande took to Twitter Tuesday to speak out against female objectification following a run-in with a fan of boyfriend Mac Miller.
The pop star felt compelled to document her experience to her 43 million followers after feeling disrespected and degraded by the guy.

According to the singer, she and her rapper beau were out picking up some food when a young fan of his excitedly approached the couple.
“He was loud and excited and by the time M was seated in the driver’s seat, he was literally almost in the car with us,” Grande recalls.
“I thought all of this was cute and exciting,” Ari said, until he said:
“‘Ariana is sexy as hell man. I see you, I see you hitting that!!!"”
That made Grande feel like a sex object and left her reeling.
“Hitting that? The f**k??” she continued.
“This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but I felt sick and objectified. I was also sitting right there when he said it,” she said.
Adding that she “felt really quiet and hurt,” Grande said that these “kinds of moments [contribute] to women’s sense of fear and inadequacy.”
“I am not a piece of meat that a man gets to utilize for his pleasure,” she wrote, clarifying that her beef is most certainly not with Miller.
“I’m an adult human being in a relationship with a man who treats me with love and respect,” she says of her love and musical collaborator.
Nevertheless, it “hurts my heart that so many young people are so comfortable” when it comes to objectifying women “with such ease.”
“We need to talk about these moments openly because they are harmful and they live on inside of us as shame,” the pop star concluded.
“We need to share and be vocal when something makes up feel uncomfortable because if we don’t, it will just continue,” Ariana said.
“We are not objects or prizes. We are QUEENS.”
Not surprisingly, this was retweeted and liked tens of thousands of times within hours of the 23-year-old posting her missive to Twitter.
In keeping with her outspoken nature, this is not the first time Grande has slammed sexist double standards toward her or other women.
In Billboard’s May cover story, she ripped a UK radio station for lavishing praise on Justin Bieber and Zayn Malik for shirtless photos.
The issue was not with those two male stars, she says, but that the same source was simultaneously shaming Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian.
“If you’re going to rave about how sexy a male artist looks with his shirt off,” Ariana argued, then don’t turn around and slut-shame females.
“If a woman decides to get in her panties or show her boobies for a photo shoot, she needs to be treated with the same awe and admiration.”
We could not agree more at The Hollywood Gossip.
In November of last year, she also lambasted two L.A. DJs for a sexist query about whether she’d choose her phone over using makeup.
Grande snapped at the pair with this retort:
“Is this what you really think girls have trouble choosing between? Is this men assuming that’s what girls would have to choose between?”
She does not mince words, and we love it.
Following her tweet about the incident with Miller Tuesday night, Grande responded to fan questions about whether she should talk.
Basically, a common point fans made was that perhaps, given how overtly she uses her sexuality to sell music, she’s being “a tad hypocritical.”
Not that case, Grande says, and here’s why:
“That’s the thing … women expressing their sexuality is often mistaken for ‘hi come disrespect me!!!!’ .. & that’s just not the case.”
“Women (and men) can express themselves however they’d like !!! even loving sex!! this is not an invitation to be disrespected.”

Kailyn Lowry: Going Off the Rails in Wake of Split From Javi Marroquin?
Earlier this week, we reported that Kailyn Lowry got in a very public fight with Javi Marroquin on Twitter, after Marroquin bafflingly boasted about sending racy pics to a female friend.
Days later, Kailyn and Javi are still not following each on Twitter or Instagram, which is a big deal, as Marroquin is overseas with the US Air Force, and social media was one of the main ways they kept in touch.
Now, fans have begun expressing their concerns about Kailyn’s stability and mental health in the wake of what seems to be a separation from her husband.
The outpouring of support began yesterday when Kailyn posted a photo of her new hairstyle on Instagram.
Lowry is sporting dreadlocks now, which may not seem like a big deal on its own, but it’s the timing of the new ‘do along with some troubling tweets in which Kailyn expressed dissatisfaction with her life that have some fans worried.
On top of the tumult in her marriage, Kailyn has reportedly had some difficulty coping with baby daddy Jo Rivera’s engagement to Vee Torres.
Sources say Kailyn is happy for ex, but again, timing is the major issue, as the news of his engagement came just as her marriage was beginning to crumble.

Farrah Abraham RAILS on Teen Mom Producer, Calls Him "White Trash"
If any show makes a great case for why teenagers should not have babies (and then made famous because of it), it"s Teen Mom.
Case in point: Farrah Abraham.
Yeah, I know we could stop right there and you guys would be like, YUP, but Miss Farrah is throwing yet another spoiled-brat-diva tantrum in a clip promoting the season finale of Teen Mom OG.
In the clip, we see production staff arriving at Farrah"s house, only to be told by the star that they should not be there. Which is kind of funny because Farrah is completely camera ready in full makeup and heels.
Farrah tells the show"s co-executive producer Larry Musnik that filming shouldn"t be taking place because of a "void" in their agreement that resulted when the show wouldn"t let her "seek other forms of income."
Musnik explains that Farrah would be in breach of contract if she doesn"t let them film, but Farrah is not dissuaded and tells him to call her lawyer.
"I did everything on my end, sweetheart, so you can just take your little ass and get on a phone call and do your job," she tells him.
Evidently, Farrah is set to appear on another reality show that will focus on the relationship between her and her mother Debra. However, since Teen Mom OG covers a similar plot line, Farrah participating in the new show would be a conflict.
But when Musnik tries to explain this to Farrah, she goes off:
"You know what"s so f**king laughable right now? Larry, I"m laughing. I would love to not laugh in your face! Why are you so white trash?"
And right now WE"RE laughing in Farrah"s face. Has she ever heard the story about the pot and the kettle?
Either all the Teen Moms have gotten way to big for their britches or the show is really pursuing storylines centering around the moms treating the producers like crap.
In a separate clip, we see Amber Portwood yell at a director for asking about a text she sent to her ex Gary Shirley.
Welp, that"s "reality" TV for you.
