Remy Ma Actually Wins BET Award, Calls Out Nicki Minaj

Remy Ma achieved what many believed to be impossible on Sunday night.

Following seven consecutive wins by Nicki Minaj for Best Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards, Ma finally came out on top, besting her rival in this all-important category.

And she responded to the victory with grace, lavishing praise on her fellow singer while accepting the trophy on stage.

Just kidding.

Remy Ma rubbed the surprising win in Minaj’s face. Big time.

“Are you dumb?” Ma said to open her speech, prior to thanking her husband Papoose as well as rapper Fat Joe.

The former convict proceeded to give a shout out to prisoners in her speech, telling them to always believe in second chances… and then she turned her sights on Minaj.

Quoting a line from her song “Spaghetti,” Remy said the following:

“Y’all bitches got fat while we starved/Shots in your ass, pads in your bras. Y’all some liars it ain’t no facts in your songs/And yeah that crown is coming back to the Bronx.”

This isn’t exactly the first (or second… or third…) time Ma has feuded with Minaj.

In February, Minaj was featured on a pair of songs (“Swalla” by Jason Derulo and “Make Love” with Gucci Mane) that included pretty blatant slams of Ma.

Remy responded by releasing a seven-minute track titled “ShETHER” that is nothing but an evisceration of Minaj.

“I saw Meek at All-Star, he told me your ass drop,” Remy rapped of Nicki and her then-lover, Meek Mill, adding:

“He couldn’t f-ck you for three months because your ass dropped. Now I don’t think you understand how bad her ass got. The implants that you had put in her ass popped.”

In March, Minaj clapped back at Remy with her own diss track, “No Frauds.”

“Heard your p-ssy on yuck, I guess you needed a pap,” Nicki raps in it, asking: “What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rack?”

Savage.

Most people think Remy won this feud before she even won her BET Award last night, with insiders even claiming the singer feels bad for Minaj.

Her fans definitely do not, however.

Consider just a few of their social media messages shortly after Remy Ma was named Best Hip Hop Artist on Sunday, with some replying in shock and others in celebration:

remy response

As for Minaj? How did she react?

We don’t know. She wasn’t even in attendance.

“Nicki has no desire to deal with her enemy on any level,” an insider told Hollywood Life over the weekend.

“Nicki has decided to skip the BETs this year for several reasons.

“Avoiding the drama and headache of reigniting a feud that might come with bumping into Remy is just one of them. And besides, she’s a very busy lady with a performance at the NBA Awards scheduled for Money.

“She has little time to attend the BETs and honestly feels like the show is beneath her too.”

Remy Ma: I Feel Sorry for Nicki Minaj!

Aren’t you just loving the delightful little feud between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma?

Of course you are. What’s not to love?!

It started — well, it started a while back, but this latest bit kicked into gear when Remy released “ShETHER,” a seven minute long diss track all about Nicki.

Remy went after Nicki’s alleged plastic surgery, her relationships, her talent (or lack thereof). She even mentioned her brother’s child sexual abuse charges.

It was savage. And it was beautiful.

Remy explained in an interview with Wendy Williams that her issues with Nicki are about her “behind the scenes” behavior.

Basically, she claimed that Nicki had been trying to sabotage her career by trying to block her from red carpets and award shows, and by convincing others to give her music bad reviews.

For Remy, Nicki’s been trying to mess with her career, which means messing with her income, which means messing with her ability to provide for her family.

And that’s not OK.

So Remy destroyed Nicki, then Nicki waited a couple of weeks to release a lame song of her on — “No Faults,” with Drake and Lil Wayne.

Though Nicki had some harsh words for Remy — “Heard your p-ssy on yuck, I guess you needed a pap,” she rapped at one point — the general consensus is that Remy came out on top.

And it seems like Remy feels the same way.

According to a source who spoke with Hollywood Life, “Remy’s laughing at Nicki’s so-called response to ‘ShETHER. If that’s the best Nicki can do, then Remy feels sorry for her.”

Ouch, but also YES.

“The track and vocals were weak AF and didn’t even come scratching Remy’s face, let alone kill her like ‘ShETHER’ did,” the source continued.

“Remy thinks Nicki should hop back in the studio and try to come harder.”

As for Nicki’s claims that Remy’s nothing without her, that she wouldn’t be seeing any success or attention without bringing Nicki’s name into it, the source says this:

“Remy’s said it before and she’ll say it again, she don’t care about the numbers or high something charts in mainstream. Her loyalties are to the game and the streets, and both of them don’t respect Nicki.”

Brutal … and true.

So now we just have to wait a month or two for Nicki to formulate her next “too little, too late” response.

We look forward to it!

Nicki Minaj Drops "No Frauds," Claps Back at Remy Ma

If you"re a fan of epic hip hop beefs, you"ve probably spent the past two weeks enthralled by the re-ignited Remy Ma-Nicki Minaj feud.

Or maybe you were enthralled at first, and now you"re just bored and impatient by Nicki"s lack of response to Remy"s scathing diss tracks.

There was a time when it looked like Nicki had given up and conceded victory, but this morning she finally clapped back with "No Frauds," which also features guest verses from Drake and Lil Wayne.

Yes, Nicki flexed her star power muscle and recruited a couple of her A-list friends for the track, but it"s worth noting that Drizzy and Weezy both refrain from going after Remy and instead stick to singing Nicki"s praises.

Probably a smart move to remain semi-neutral, as this beef is getting uglier by the day.

Nicki absolutely goes off on Remy in her verse, savaging her rap rival for everything from her perceived lack of skills to the fact that Ma recently completed a seven-year prison sentence

"Heard your p-ssy on yuck, I guess you needed a pap," Nicki raps at one point.

"What type of bum bitch shoot a friend over a rack?"

She goes on like that, eventually concluding:

"The bitch gambled on her career/Now it"s gonna be severe"

Like we said, she doesn"t go easy on Remy.

Check out the clip below for more highlights and stay tuned for Remy"s inevitable response:

Nicki Minaj: I Give Up! You Win, Remy Ma!

It’s been nearly two weeks since Remy Ma Dropped “shETHER,” a scathing diss track targeted at the longtime rival Nicki Minaj.

Ma’s verses were absolutely brutal in their assault on everything from Nicki’s cosmetic surgery procedures to the reports surrounding Minaj’s brother’s alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Fans expected that Nicki, never one to back down from a fight, would respond with an equally punishing takedown.

When a week passed without a response, they began to grow concerned.

When Azealia Banks sided with Remy, they began to despair.

When Remy dropped another diss track, this one chiding Nicki for a lack of a counter-argument, Nicki boosters began to worry that the battle was lost.

So they probably won’t be surprised to hear that Nicki is is officially throwing in the towel and waving the white flag, revealing today that she will not be replying to Remy’s bars any time in the near future.

Moments ago, TMZ broke the news that Nicki fans have been dreading:

The rapper apparently feels she’s “winning through silence,” making high-profile appearances at Paris Fashion Week and taking the occasional jab at her rival on Instagram, while Remy struggles to rebuild her life post-prison and copes with disappointing sales for her collaborative album with Fat Joe.

It’s the old “living well is the best revenge” approach.

The problem is, when a woman who claims to be the queen of rap takes that approach to an old-school hip hop beef, she basically hands the crown to her opponent.

Interestingly, the other high-profile mainstream beef of the past year involved Drake and Meek Mill, who happens to be Nicki’s ex-fiance.

In that situation, Meek took forever to respond, allowing Drake to drop not one, but two blistering tracks targeted at “Mr. Minaj.”

When Meek did finally clap back, his weak response got him roasted to a crisp on Twitter.

Perhaps Nicki feared a fate similar to her ex’s.

Maybe she stepped into the studio and the bars just weren’t coming for her.

Hell, maybe she heard Remy’s track and realized she was truly outmatched.

Whatever the case there’s no longer any question about who came out on top in this beef.

All hail Remy Ma, Queen of Hip Hop.

Remy Ma Reveals Her Issues with Nicki Minaj: SO MUCH SHADE!

Remy Ma isn"t done with Nicki Minaj.

Last week she released her epic diss track, "shETHER," and on Thursday she released a second track about Nicki titled "Another One."

But along with the two songs, Remy made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show. And it was an absolutely incredible whirlwind of shade.

Remy was already scheduled to do the interview before she released her first song about Nicki — she and Fat Joe had planned to go on Wendy"s show to promote their new album.

And they did promote the album, but hey, Wendy couldn"t have Remy Ma on her show and not talk about Nicki.

Remy had a lot to say — she revealed that she didn"t make "shETHER" because of Nicki"s verses about her, but because of some "behind the scenes" behavior she didn"t appreciate.

Nicki, she claims, has tried to keep Remy off of red carpets, she"s tried to keep her from getting any awards, and she"s tried to convince others to give her new album bad reviews."

She says that Nicki is "not a nice person," and her feuds with Mariah Carey, Lil Kim, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus prove it.

Also, Remy Ma struts into the interview in all black — as she tells Wendy, "I came appropriate for the services."

After telling her side of the story, she said "My grandmother always told me to never speak ill of the dead, so we"re just going to leave this conversation alone."

Watch the whole delightful interview below:

Remy Ma Eviscerates Nicki Minaj With ANOTHER Diss Track

If you"re a hip hop fan than you"ve probably already heard (or at least heard about) Remy Ma"s "shETHER" – a blistering diss track targeted at the current queen of rap, Nicki Minaj.

The music world went wild when "shETHER" dropped online last week with its cold-blooded attacks on everything from Nicki"s alleged plastic surgery to the the sexual abuse charges leveled against her brother last year.

The consensus was that with a single track, Remy had left Nicki"s career on life support.

Azealia Banks took Remy"s side, and Twitter seemed to be overwhelmingly Team Ma.

Even those who still supported Nicki agreed that she needed to record face-saving response track ASAP.

Much to their chagrin, a week later, Nicki"s clap-back remains limited to a couple lame jabs on Instagram.

But while Nicki"s posting selfies and throwing shade with memes, Remy is going in hard yet again.

The Brooklyn MC dropped a second diss pointedly titled "Another One."

The title is not only a reference the fact that Remy has, indeed, dropped another track on Nicki, it also cleverly references the refrain from Drake"s "Back to Back," a diss track directed at Nicki"s then-boyfriend Meek Mill.

At this point it seems unlikely that Nicki will ever be able to fully recover from Remy"s assault.

But after listening to "Another One", she"ll likely feel the need to at least try:
