Vanessa Lachey: Did She Fake Wardrobe Malfunction on Dancing With the Stars?

Vanessa Lachey has proven she’s a force to be reckoned with on Dancing with the Stars.

While she and her dance partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy, have apparently had their fair shares of ups and downs, it appears that they have buried the hatchet in favor of winning the coveted trophy.

For Vanessa, winning would mean she would stay relevant for another few months, and she definitely has the skill to make it further into the competition.

During the most recent episode, Vanessa suffered a wardrobe malfunction that resulted in her dress ripping during her routine.

It was perfectly timed because the cameras were very much on her.

Some fans have questioned whether she orchestrated the whole thing herself to keep her name in the media.

While it’s common for people on reality TV to want to milk the exposure to the bitter end, we have no idea whether Vanessa would go that low.

According to Star Magazine, Vanessa knew what she was doing, and did it to advance further into the competition.

Vanessa’s dance last night was flawless, but her skirt ripping off was totally staged!” the tipster dished to the publication.

“She is so thirsty to win now that she is willing to do anything to stay on air,” the source continued.

“She isn’t stupid. Before Vanessa was a celebrity in her own right, she was an entertainment news reporter, so she definitely knows how to make headlines.”

While it’s a fair assumption to make about Vanessa’s previous line of work, it is difficult to imagine her essentially stripping off on live television to get people talking about her.

If she did go that far, it would show the world what her character is really like.

There were rumors earlier this month that her place in the competition was in jeopardy when Val grew tired of her diva behavior.

“Vanessa is the boss and likes submissive men that do what she tells them to do,” a source revealed to Star at the time.

“She wants to choreograph her own dances, select her own music and even design her own costumes.”

What do you think about all of this? Could the star really be trying to craft a controversial path to glory?

George Clooney: Accused of Sexual Harassment by ER Actress Vanessa Marquez?!

All the Harvey Weinstein news that’s been coming out for the past several days … it sure has been tough to stomach, huh?

Every single day — sometimes it feels like nearly every single hour — we hear new details about all the horrible things he’s done throughout his career.

A new woman comes forward with a new story, filled with new horrors, as if our faith in humanity wasn’t shaky enough these days.

And the stories aren’t even just limited to the crimes of Harvey Weinstein: tons of celebrities are feeling inspired to share stories of sexual harassment they’ve experienced throughout their careers, regardless of who the perpetrator was.

We’ve heard (or been reminded) of some pretty terrible tales about Ben Affleck, and actors like Terry Crews and James Van Der Beek have made it clear that men are victims of sexual assault in Hollywood, too.

But now we’re hearing a new story — one about George Clooney.

And it sure is a doozy.

Let’s think back, around 20 years ago, to a time when George was on a little show called ER.

For the first three seasons of the show, George acted alongside a woman named Vanessa Marquez, who played the role of Nurse Wendy Goldman.

Vanessa didn’t return for the fourth season though, and except for a few small roles here and there, she hasn’t acted since.

And that’s because, as she claims, she was blacklisted from the industry after speaking out about sexual harassment on the set of the show.

The whole thing began when George made a statement about Harvey Weinstein — the two had worked together extensively over the years.

In the statement, he called Harvey’s actions “indefensible,” and claimed that “I’ve never seen any of this behavior — ever.”

Vanessa discussed the matter on Twitter, where she wrote “B.S. Clooney helped blacklist me when I spoke up abt harassment on ER. ‘Women who don’t play the game lose career’ I did.”

She says that she’s been telling this story since it happened over 20 years ago, but since George Clooney is such a beloved actor, no one believes her.

“Clooney is doing pre damage control,” she theorized about his Harvey statements. “He has his own secrets and I know them!”

She called him a “predator” and a “hypocrite,” and said that “He’s not who he pretends to be,” he’s “a monster in his own way.”

As for the harassment she faced on the set of ER, she said that she experienced both sexual assault — she referred to what happened to her as “pussy grabbing” — and that things also got racial, and she heard “Mexican jokes EVERY day.”

“Happened to all the women,” she claimed. “They chose 2 b victims. I fought.”

To be clear, she never says that George was one of the people who harassed her on set, just that he was involved in blacklisting her after she brought the issue to light.

Many people are alarmed at this story, because there’s never really been any horror stories about George Clooney.

And George himself has already taken the time to address this story.

“I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted,” he said. “I take her at her word. I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show.”

“I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor. If she was told I was involved in any decision about her carer then she was lied to.”

“The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t,” he concluded.

Vanessa, meanwhile, stands by her story.

What awful story are we going to hear next?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Just Wrote the Sweetest Note to Vanessa Lachey

It looks like we can put rumors of a Dancing with the Stars feud to rest.

Last Monday night, after Maksim Chmerkovskiy skipped out on an episode of this popular ABC competition, multiple outlets reported that he and partner Vanessa Lachey do not get along.

But that’s putting it mildly.

They pretty much hate each other and are “miserable,” an insider told Us Weekly, citing dueling stubborn and strong personalities as the basis for this alleged beef.

But Chmerkovskiy quickly tried to quell such chatter, issuing an apology to Lachey for his absence and saying he was psyched to make a return this past Monday night.

And return he did!

Vanessa and Maksim performed an strong Rumba that earned then 24 out of a possible 30 points.

You can watch this routine in full via the video at the top of the post.

Equally as impressive as the performance, however, was the raw honesty showed by Lachey.

In the pre-taped video package that aired before she took the floor, Lachey explained how she nearly died after giving birth at just 29 weeks to her son in December.

After little Phoenix entered the world, Lachey told viewers that she was rushed in to emergency surgery.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” she said on air, fighting back tears.

Chmerkovskiy listened closely to this harrowing account during the installment.

And now he’d like to share a few thoughts he has about his partner.

“Everything I ever want for my partners is literally what @vanessalachey has brought to the dance floor last night. Raw, unapologetic, real emotion expressed through a beautiful dance,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted.

Very handsome and considered a strong stud muffin, Maksim also admitted that Lachey’s story tugged at his heartstrings.

Hard.

“Yesterday also marked the first time when I completely lost it right before the dance… I rarely cry but this was something different, something I’ve yet to experience watching someone else’s story,” he wrote, addressing Vanessa and adding:

“”I’m proud of you partner! They can say what they want but you’re a star and I wouldn’t want to be on this rollercoaster with anyone but you!

“And we have so many more of these moments to share with each other, and everyone else who couldn’t stop their tears…#teamBabiesAndBallroom #DWTS #NeverADullMoment.”

We love it.

We hope to continue seeing Lachey and Chmerkovskiy on the dance floor for many weeks to come.

They’re our new favorites this season!

Vanessa Lachey Details Near-Death Experience on Dancing with the Stars, Rumbas Through Partner Rivalry

Vanessa Lachey could not hold back her emotion on Dancing with the Stars last night.

But the tears this competitor shed had nothing to do with the alleged feud between her and Maks Chmerkovskiy.

Instead, they had everything to do with the time Lachey nearly died.

First, a quick refresher:

Last week, multiple sources claimed Lachey and Chmerkovskiy actively hated each other, with one source telling Us Weekly there’s constant “fighting” when the cameras are off and that each half of this partnership is “miserable.”

This tabloid cites dueling stubborn personalities for the basis of these disagreements.

Neither Vanessa nor Maks have really commented on the rumor of a rivalry, but the latter did skip last Monday’s performance show, raising some major eyebrows around the Internet.

He later apologized.

“As you are all aware, I had to leave the show last week to take care of some personal issues,” Chmerkovskiy Tweeted on Wednesday, adding:

“I take full responsibility for my actions and want to apologize to my partner Vanessa.

“We are both looking forward to dancing for our fans next week!”

And dance they did on Monday evening, doing the Rumba on an episode that episode featured the celebrities’ most memorable years.

As part of the pre-taped package before they took to the live stage, Lachey explained why this has been her most memorable year:

Because she nearly died right before it started.

“I was in the hospital on bed rest and then my water broke. I was only 29 weeks,” Lachey explained to Chmerkovskiy about what transpired with her son, Phoenix.

Husband Nick Lachey, who is also a contestant on Season 25, was featured in the video as well.

“I’ll never forget. She called me in a panic: ‘They’re taking me in for an emergency surgery. Get here as quick as you can,’” he said.

Vanessa remembers every detail of the harrowing experience.

“I was on the operating bed and I looked up and I didn’t know a single face and I remembered thinking I hope the baby’s okay and don’t worry about me. Just make him okay,” Lachey said, crying at this point.

She then went out and danced to a track sang by her husband.

“This song got us through some really tough times and helped us bond even closer as a family,” Vanessa explained.

Watch Vanessa and Maks crush their Rumba!!!!!!!!!!

Did the supposed feud between herself and Chmerkovskiy affect the routine?

Or the raw emotion of the moment?

Not really, as the tandem earned 24 points out of a possible 30.

On a related note, we send the very best to Vanessa, Nick and their kids.

What a scary experience for everyone involved. We’re just glad Lachey is doing okay these days.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Apologizes to Vanessa Lachey, Tries to Squash Beef Rumors

Amidst rumors that he and Dancing with the Stars partner Vanessa Lachey don’t exactly get along, Maksim Chmerkovskiy has come out and attempted to quiet all such chatter.

He’s issued a direct apology to the television personality.

To open the ABC broadcast on Monday night, co-host Erin Andrews told viewers that the international stud muffin was absent due to “personal issues” and Lachey would be dancing with Alan Bersten instead.

No other information was given at the time.

But the timing was questionable because Chmerkovskiy essentially no-showed an episode just as the Internet was blowing up with rumors of a rivalry between himself and his partner.

“There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes,” a source told Us Weekly this week, explaining a bit more in detail:

“Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another…

“They’re playing nice for the cameras, but both are miserable paired with each other.”

This alleged dispute hasn’t affected the tandem on screen, however.

If there is a beef, it’s been put aside during the actual program, as Chmerkovskiy and Lachey have sat atop the leaderboard all season long.

And they’ll be back at it again in just a few days.

“New week! VEEEEERY excited for @DancingABC new dance studio and new dance with @Vanessa Lachey! Can’t wait to be back at the Ballroom!” Chmerkovskiy also Tweeted yesterday.

Fellow professional Lindsay Arnold, meanwhile, has confirmed to People Magazine that she saw Maks and Vanessa in the studio this week.

Yes, together.

Elsewhere, actress Sasha Pieterse (who is competing on Season 25) also spoke to People and basically said if there’s tension between Chmerkovskiy and Lachey… well… she hasn’t seen it.

With Vanessa’s husband (Nick Lachey) and Maksim’s wife (Peta Murgatroyd) also paired up this fall, the former Pretty Little Liars star says everyone is having a blast.

“Honestly, they’re awesome, I love them. Nick and Vanessa are awesome so are Peta and Maks. They’re such a fun partnership,” said Pieterse, who is still alive with partner Gleb Savchenko.

In the end, of course, does it really matter if Chmerkovskiy and Lachey get along?

If anything, it’s almost more interesting that they may detest each other personally, yet are still able to perform well professionally.

All we know for sure is that we’ll be tuning in next week to see if we can spot any issues at all between these two while they once again try to impress the judges and the viewers at home.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey: They Hate Each Other!

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Vanessa Lachey are still around on Dancing with the Stars.

The tandem has not yet been voted off the ABC competition.

Unlike most pairings, however, Chmerkovskiy and Lachey may actually be distraught over this fact.

For what possible reason?

Why would two contestants be anxious to go home instead of go on to the next round?

It’s simple, an anonymous insider tells Us Weekly: Chmerkovskiy and Lachey hate each other!

There is a lot of fighting going on behind the scenes,” a source tells the tabloid of the professional dancer and his partner.

There hasn’t necessarily been one topic of dispute that stands out or anything. There’s nothing especially juicy or scandalous to report.

It sounds more like this is just a clash of personalities.

“Their personalities are very similar so they disagree about everything. They refuse to give into one another,” the magazine writes, adding:

“They’re playing nice for the cameras, but both are miserable paired with each other.”

Despite these differences when the cameras are off, Maks and Vanessa have been doing very well once they hit the dance floor on Monday nights.

They’ve been close to the top of the leaderboard each week.

However, fans were left without any answers when the Ukrainian stud muffin was a no-show for the Monday, October, 2 episode.

“Maks is dealing with a personal issue so Alan [Bersten] is stepping in and dancing with Vanessa tonight,” cohost Erin Andrews simply told viewers at the outset of the show.

We’ve heard nothing since about the basis for Chmerkovskiy’s absence, making us think this rumor of a rivalry is legitimate.

Heck, there wasn’t even the usual pre-taped package for the pairing, depicting them rehearing together for this week’s performance.

A second source tells Us Weekly that Chmerkovskiy refused to practice last week, but Lachey showed up, ready to put personal differences aside for the sake of the Mirrorball Trophy.

And it’s not like teammates have to get along in order to succeed.

Just take Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal on the Los Angeles Lakers teams of the early 2000s. They won three titles together, even if they often clashed while doing so.

But you need to practice.

Adding to the tension and unusual nature of this feud?

Nick Lachey, Vanessa’s husband, is teamed with Peta Murgatroyd this season… she’s Chmerkovskiy’s wife!

“Nick and Peta are totally fine,” the source says, though. “Nick is awesome. He’s very laid back and sweet. Peta just goes with the flow, she’s easy.”

Rachel Lindsay: Oh Yeah, Vanessa Grimaldi and I Hated Each Other

Vanessa Grimaldi won Nick Viall’s heart and hand on The Bachelor — well, until they broke up, anyway. But the thing about winning a competition is that some people make friends along the way, and others make enemies.

It’s been rumored for a long time that Rachel Lindsay was among the enemies that Vanessa made. Or, at the very least, that the two of them didn’t get along.

This week, Danielle Lombard confirmed that the two didn’t like each other. And Rachel Lindsay is providing even more details.

So, earlier this week, the stunningly beautiful Danielle Lombard did a Reddit AMA.

(AMA means Ask Me Anything, by the way)

You’d expect the standard questions about Danielle Lombard and Dean Unglert and, you know, their whole love triangle mess in Paradise.

But remember, Danielle Lombard didn’t make her Bachelor debut on Bachelor in Paradise. That’s … well, that’s not how it works.

There have been rumors for ages that Rachel and Vanessa got along about as well as two wet cats in a burlap sack.

Danielle basically confirmed it:

“Vanessa called Rachel something that was extremely derogatory. From what I heard it was bad. Vanessa had to be separated for the rest of the show.”

Obviously, that is vague but ominous.

Like, Danielle did a great job of not filling in the blank with a word that she’d heard in rumor form.

If Vanessa Grimaldi had used a slur, for example, she probably should have been removed from the show immediately.

(Rachel Lindsay was the first-ever black Bachelorette, and remember that there was even a racist contestant within her own season)

Naturally, everyone wanted to know what exactly was said, but Danielle was relying upon hearsay even to tell that much.

She didn’t want to put words into anybody’s mouth.

Thankfully, Rachel Lindsay was willing to at last break her silence on the conflict.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rachel Lindsay shares exactly what went on between her and Vanessa.

Finally.

“One thing I know about Danielle [Lombard] is that she’s not a liar.”

That’s a great way to start off.

“But I do want to set the record straight on what happened between Vanessa and I.”

That should be “Vanessa and me,” but that’s beside the point.

“Being in the Bachelor mansion is a true test of your character. It’s a high-stress, low-sleep situation, and I learned all I needed to know about Vanessa during that time.”

We can only imagine.

Rachel says that she avoided Vanessa in order to avoid drama, but that it didn’t quite work out and that Vanessa pulled her aside and confronted her.

“Vanessa told me that I used ‘aggressive’ tones with her, and I was very upset by that.”

If you’re not aware, words like “bossy” and “aggressive” are thrown at black women as a way of exploiting stereotypes. People using those words usually hope to make the women shut down and be quiet out of fear of “confirming” stereotypes. It’s a hateful thing.

There’s no telling if Vanessa was aware of this, but Rachel certainly was.

“There are so many stereotypes placed on African-American women.”

And as for that “derogatory word” we heard about …

“She called me a ‘bully’, and for her to use that phrase was offensive to me. She had no examples to match it. … I also felt as a special education teacher who works with children, she was using the word frivolously.”

That’s certainly a derogatory word to call someone, but it’s thankfully not a slur.

(That is an odd way for someone who should know better to talk … but some people are very different at work than they would be on reality television)

When Rachel Lindsay spoke to Vanessa about her behavior, Vanessa didn’t apologize but instead doubled down.

“She told me, ‘No, you’re a bully, and I told Nick that."”

Yikes.

“This was an assassination on my character. After I’ve faced uphill battles for my entire life and worked to prove myself in my career. I told Nick, ‘I’m going to let bygones be bygones."”

That was the right attitude. If she’d tried to make trouble, maybe she wouldn’t have landed her role as the Bachelorette. Maybe she wouldn’t have ended up with Bryan Abasolo.

She mentions that she waited until now to share this because of that gig, but also because Vanessa and Nick were engaged. Obviously, things have changed.

And now we know.
