Josh Waring: Former RHOC Star Claims He Didn"t Shoot Anyone!
Josh Waring thought he was facing seven charges related to a June shooting in Southern California.
It turns out that four more charges were added at an August 19th court hearing, and Waring fears he could be in jail for a very, very long time.
Initially, the charges included “three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and once count of inflicting great bodily injury.”
Now, Waring tells Radar Online, things have gone from bad to worse, with the new charges being “battery, hit and run with property damage, evading police/reckless driving, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer, and unlawful taking of a vehicle.”
Earlier this month, Waring spoke to Radar from prison because he’s unable to post $ 1 million bail.
Is Waring responsible for shooting Daniel Lopez?
“No, absolutely not,” Waring insisted.
“I had a prior altercation that night,” he went, adding that he was high when the series of incidents occurred.
“I was using,” he admitted.
“I was under the influence, and was chased off the property,” he said, referring to the sober living facility where Lopez was shot.
“It was a mistake of bad timing,” he continued.
“Someone came back and shot up the house. Just because of the fact I had priors, I was arrested.”
In Waring’s defense, the police report notes that authorities did not find a weapon in the car he stole, but that point could be moot.
“I have four other cases on top of this,” Waring told Radar.
“One is a trafficking sales case, in which I face a max of 22 years and four months. And for the attempted murder, a 45-year max. I am facing time, which is scary.”
Waring has a history of heavy drug use and brushes with the law. His time on The Real Housewives of Orange County was mainly spent getting into trouble that his mother, Lauri Peterson would have to deal with.
It’s not clear if and/or how often she visits her son in prison, but the former reality star has blown the whistle on Waring, 27, before.
In 2008, Peterson called the police after finding a bag of heroin in Waring’s room. That same year, she left the show.
As of right now, it’s unclear when Waring will receive his sentence.
“I’m doing good. I’m all right.”

Josh Waring: Slapped With SEVEN Charges!
The news for Josh Waring just got incredibly more dim.
Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for attempted murder.
And while that’s a hefty charge, it’s not like anyone didn’t see this coming.
If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, you probably already knew that he’s a troubled young man.
He shot at a man and then fled the scene in his vehicle.
The thing that made it all the more shocking was that he didn’t drive away in his own car.
Instead, he opted for a stolen BMW SUV. He then proceeded to cause a traffic accident and closed off the chase by attempting to run off on foot.
He was not giving in.
Now, new details have emerged about the charges that Lauri Peterson’s son is facing.
Waring appeared in the Costa Mesa Jail courtroom yesterday morning.
According to an Orange County Superior Court public information officer, Waring did NOT state a plea.
Lauri’s worst nightmares are totally coming true about her son.
He was slapped with three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and once count of inflicting great bodily injury.
There’s also word that there was a previous disturbance between Waring and his victim, Daniel Lopez.
“Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman said.
“At about 1:30 a.m. my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing,” a woman who lives across the street from the sober living facility The Way Home said of the dangerous altercation.
“He came back in and just said he wasn’t going to deal with this.”
We wish Daniel a speedy recovery!

Josh Waring: New Details Emerge On Attempted Murder Charges
She’s done everything she could to try and steer her son on the right patch, but former Real Housewives of Orange County Lauri Peterson must have felt helpless after learning what he had done on June 20th.
Josh Waring shot a man in the torso early Monday morning, leaving him in serious condition (though authorities said he will survive).
After leading police on a chase through parts of Orange County (first in a stolen car, then on foot), Waring was finally caught and arrested.
Peterson’s cast mates were horrified by the news, and their first instinct was to support their friend.
“I reached out to Lauri this morning when I heard the news, and let her know I am here for her if she needs anything,” Vicki Gunvalson told Radar Online a day after the arrest was made.
“As a mother myself, I can’t imagine how difficult this is for her.”
Peterson (nee Waring) worked for Gunvalson’s company, Coto Insurance in season one. On one episode, Peterson had to leave her job early because Waring had gotten into an altercation with a faculty member at his school.
From there, Waring’s behavior issues and addiction to drugs increased. Peterson told the Orange County Register in 2008 that she found ecstasy and heroin in her son’s possession, so she called the police.
According to Radar, the shooting took place outside a sober living facility in Costa Mesa.
“Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman said, according to the Los Angeles Times.
One neighbor told the Radar that “At about 1:30 am my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing.
Waring is being held on $ 1 million bail. The charges against him also include vehicle theft, felony evading police, hit-and-run and assault and battery charges.
Peterson has not yet made a comment about the arrest.

Josh Waring: Son of Former Real Housewives of Orange County Star Arrested For Attempted Murder
If you’ve been a loyal follower of the original Housewives franchise, then you’re likely disappointed, but not shocked by this news.
Josh Waring is the troubled son of Lauri Peterson, who starred on The Real Housewives of Orange County for three seasons.
According to Buzzfeed News, Waring has been charged with attempted murder after shooting a man, then fleeing the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Cops were called to a home around 2 a.m. local time, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department. There, they found a male, 35, with a gunshot wound in his lower torso.
Witnesses at the home ID’d Waring as the shooter, who had driven off in a stolen BMW SUV.
A helicopter from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department found the vehicle, and when police approached, Waring tried to get away in the car, causing a traffic accident.
Waring then abandoned the car and continued to run from the police on foot, and was finally arrested after reportedly attempting to hide in a business.
Though no gun has been recovered, police did find evidence “related to the shooting” in the SUV.
Waring was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading, hit and run, assault, and battery.
The victim, though in serious condition, is expected to survive.
Peterson decided to leave the show in 2008 after Waring was arrested for possession of heroin, his latest brush with the law.
“For me, I needed to really pull back, concentrate on my emotional well being and deal with the aftermath of the arrest,” Peterson told the Orange County Register at the time.
Peterson decided to adopt Waring’s three-year-old daughter in 2015 when she and her husband, George realized that Waring and his wife were unable to care for the child.
“As most of the viewers know, I have a son and he’s had just a lot of challenges. And he and his wife had a baby almost three years ago,” Peterson told the Daily Dish last year.
“He’s really struggling and, well, they’re both really struggling. And so [my husband] George and I elected to help out and we actually adopted Kennedy, and so we’re raising her.”
Waring describes himself as a “DJ BaSS Killa, Worldwide nucklehead from Real Housewives, married to the love of my life and expecting a little one on the way :)” on his Twitter account, which hasn’t been updated since 2013.
