Nicki Minaj Denies Dissing of Disabled Person

Nicki Minaj may have dressed up for Halloween as a fairy. (A sexy fairy, of course).

But that doesn’t mean the singer believed she had actual magical powers on Saturday night. It also doesn’t mean she’s a terrible person.

The singer found herself in hot water over the weekend after video went viral of Minaj pointing her wand at a woman in a wheelchair while celebrating Halloween at 1 OAK in Las Vegas.

She then commanded this person to “walk.”

Which would be rather cruel and inappropriate if this person were truly confined to a wheelchair, as most assumed and as most celebrity gossip outlets wrote.

But Minaj Tweeted in response to Perez Hilton accusing her of this act by writing the following on Sunday evening:

“Lol. That’s NOT a disabled person and u know that. Are u that desperate for attention?

“Bitch, u knew. That’s my friend in a scooter. Have a great day. I surely will.”

Oh. Right. Sorry. Our bad, Nicki.

The singer wasn’t done being critical, however.

She also took note of someone dressed as Bill Cosby for Halloween and made her feelings known on Twitter, coming down hard on anyone who would use multiple sexual assault charges as the basis for a costume.

“Our generation is so desensitized,” she wrote while posting a picture of a man dressed up as the comedian, holding a woman appearing to be asleep.

Cosby costume

She makes a couple good points here, doesn’t she?

  1. Cosby is accused of drugging and raping over 40 women throughout his professional life.

  2. And also, come on… who would think Minaj would truly yell at a woman in a wheelchair?!?

The Real Housewives of Orange County Reunion Recap: I"ll Never See You Again!

Good riddance to Brooks Ayers. That was the long and short of it Sunday night on the third part of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion.

The three-part reunion concluded with The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 Episode 22, and Brooks was the center of it all.

Literally, the entire hour.

Vicki Gunvalson’s longtime boyfriend faced allegations both old and new, and by association, Vicki found herself forced to answer for her now-ex.

“I don’t have any proof that he doesn’t have cancer and he won’t give me enough proof that he does have [it],” she said of the cancer faking accusations.

“So that’s where I’m at.”

That’s an interesting position, and Heather Dubrow felt it didn’t add up: “He’s got something on you, you’re too smart for this,” she said.

Vicki then admitted part of her is afraid of Brooks, which opened the floodgates from Tamra Barney and Vicki’s daughter, Briana Culberson.

Both women claimed Ayers beat Gunvalson; Culberson said she and her husband, Ryan, both witnessed him abuse her, separate times.

Briana then claimed that since he and Vicki broke up this summer, Ayers has kept harassing her verbally, including via new text messages.

Ayers, for his part, has “categorically” denied all claims of abuse, or that he hit on Culberson and tried to show her his penis for that matter.

Shannon Beador then jumped in with logistical details of how and where Brooks said he got cancer screenings “cannot possibly happen.”

By the end of the night, Vicki said her gut was suspicious that he didn’t have cancer, and he never came clean, causing much tension.

She had been repeatedly asking him for his medical records behind the scenes, before they broke up, which did not help their relationship.

Gunvalson also admitted to “fabricating” a story about calling in Dr. Terry Dubrow to treat Ayers one night with an IV after he became ill.

“I fabricated [the story], because I really was looking for compassion from somebody,” she said, in a moment of honest vulnerability.

If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online, you know the strain this has put on Vicki’s relations with … everyone else.

Time may heal all wounds – Vicki and Briana say they’re in a better place now – but it will take a good amount of it to bury these hatchets.

In a separate sit-down with Andy Cohen, Ayers said that yes he has cancer, and that Gunvalson “misspoke quite a bit” about his health.

Ayers said his “numbers are normalizing” and his lymphatic legions were gone. As for his take on Meghan King Edmonds, his loudest critic?

“F–k off. How ’bout that?”

One Direction Concludes Tour, Embraces on Stage

One Direction has sworn over and over and over that it is not breaking up.

Yes, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan announced an extended hiatus on the way in 2016, but multiple (handsome) band members have said the same thing.

It will just be a hiatus, they"ve insisted. They need a break. The future of One Direction remains bright.

That may still be the (cute) company line, but fans were given a new season to worry on Sunday night.

One Direction wrapped up its “On The Road” tour with a concert in Sheffield, England by embracing on stage, engaging in a group hug that left many wondering why there was so much emotion.

Could it be because Harry and company will never tour with each other ever again?

During the show Styles said he and his musical friend would never forget their fans who supported them for “five years, four months, two weeks and a couple of days.”

Horan, meanwhile, noted on stage: “I remember five years ago when this all started.”

In addition to thanking the supports, Horan told his three bandmates that he loved them. Which is very nice and sweet and everything… but which also feels like a permanent goodbye, doesn"t it?

He did add the following on Twitter, however:

“Thank you anyone who has come to watch us live over the last few years, it’s incredible to be able to play our music live for you.

"Don’t let the papers or online stuff tell you we’re not coming back. We are, I’m just going on a long holiday.”

One Direction, who recently took a shot at Taylor Swift, has a new album coming out on November 13.

But you"ll be hearing against from these boys for sure.

But will we ever see them on stage again? God, let"s hope so.

Fred Thompson Dies; Law & Order Actor and Former Senator Was 73

Former US senator and prolific actor Fred Thompson has passed away at the age of 73.

His family broke the news in a statement issued to several media outlets earlier today:

“It is with a heavy heart and a deep sense of grief that we share the passing of our brother, father and grandfather who died peacefully Nashville surrounded by his family,” said the statement.

“Fred was the same man on the floor of the Senate, the movie studio, or the town square of his home.”

According to the statement, Thompson died following a recurrence of lymphoma.

After beginning his career as an attorney, Thompson alternated between politics and acting for much of his adult life.

Thompson served as a Republican senator for eight years.

Once considered a rising star of the Senate, Thompson retired after his term expired in 2003, stating that he “didn’t have the heart” for another term.

Thompson launched a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008, but dropped out after attracting little support in early primaries.

As an actor, Thompson is perhaps best known for his role as District Attorney Arthur Branch on Law & Order and its spinoff series SVU, Trial By Jury and Criminal Intent.

In addition to portraying Branch from 2002 to 2007, Thompson starred in dozens of feature films, including Cape Fear, In the Line of Fire and Die Hard 2.

Thompson is survived by his wife, political commentator Jeri Kehn Thompson, and four children.
