Royal Family Wears Ugly Christmas Sweaters, Wins the Holidays Forever

The Royal Family is known for many reasons around the world:

Its possession of wealth. Its powerful and yet completely powerless position in Great Britain. The way certain members make sweet and passionate love to Meghan Markle.

But Queen Elizabeth II and her loved ones are not typically known for having a great sense of humor.

Until now, that is! Sort of…

The Internet was ablaze on Tuesday night with photos of Prince William, Price Harry, Kate Middleton, the Queen and a few others rocking ugly Christmas sweaters for an unexpected family photo.

The image was hilarious. It was shocking. It featured Queen Elizabeth II in a corgi-inspired ensemble!

Alas, it was also mostly a fake.

As in: these are fake representations of the most famous Brits on the planet (no offense, Adele).

Madame Tussauds London went ahead and unveiled a special version of the royals’ wax figures on Tuesday, featuring each member in very festive attire.

We probably should have known that it wouldn’t exactly have been a dignified move for the Royals themselves to dress this way.

HOWEVER, these famous relatives did grant permission for Madame Tussauds to dress their wax figures in such Christmas-inspired jumpers.

The display is part of the Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day campaign on December 16.

As you can read more about via the above link, this occasion encourages people to wear “silly festive knits and donate to save children’s lives.”

It’s a great cause and Madame Tussauds will be asking visitors to pay an extra two pounds on December 16 in support of it.

“We are delighted to support Save The Children by having our royal wax figures join in with the Christmas Jumper Day campaign in a seriously stylish way,” said Edward Fuller, general manager of Madame Tussauds London.

It’s hard to discern just which wax figures look the ugliest; i.e. the most amazing.

The Queen’s corgi sweater is hard to beat, especially when the photo also includes actual corgis.

But Prince William and Princess Kate are sharing a sweater built for two, while Prince Harry is proudly smiling in his green penguin jumper. Swoon.

Wonders Helena Wiltshire, from Save The Children:

“Who knows, maybe the Queen will feel inspired to do her annual speech in a more laid-back get-up this year?”

Yeah. We doubt it. We can envision Kate Middleton actually being pregnant with her third child before we can envision the Queen going out in public in an ugly Christmas sweater.

But still.

These wax figures will be on display throughout December and museum visitors will be encouraged to snap selfies with them.

So hurry up and get over there, London residents.

What other photo are you going to put on your 2016 Christmas card, one of you and your family NOT posing with these awe-inspiring, fashion-defying figures?!?

Please.

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz: Somehow Shocked Over Scheana Marie Divorce

Note to Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz:

You may want to watch your own television show.

We can help. You can use this link to watch Vanderpump Rules online in order to catch up with past episodes of this Bravo hit.

Perhaps then you’ll be able to remove your jaws from the floor when it comes to Scheana Marie Shay and Mike Shay recently filing for divorce.

These Vanderpump Rules stars appeared last night on Watch What Happens Live and were asked by host Andy Cohen about Scheana Marie splitting from her husband of two years.

Considering that Scheana staged an intervention for Mike last season…

… and considering that a Season 4 episode also centered on Mike moving out of the couple’s apartment after just months of marriage…

… and considering that Mike actually went missing for a few days in November, while Scheana wondered about his whereabouts and folks wondered if he had fallen off the wagon…

… well, this divorce was not difficult to see coming.

Unless you are Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, apparently.

“It was honestly – it came out of nowhere,” Tom told Cohen on Tuesday evening’s broadcast. “We were blindsided.”

“We all thought they’d be together forever,” added Katie, who evidently has never actually spoken to Scheana or Mike.

Katie and Tom, who got married themselves in August, continued to sound more ignorant than the average Vanderpump Rules viewer, with Tom somehow stating on air:

“You never know what’s going on behind closed doors. They seemed happy from outward appearances.”

Ummm… no, they did not.

Countless episodes of your very own reality show – with camera rolling in front of open doors and everything – depicted Scheana and Mike experiencing serious marital problems.

But Maloney reiterated this same stance in a Facebook Live chat Monday.

“I never saw it coming. We never anticipated it. I thought they would be together forever,” she said at the time.

“My heart goes out to them and I can’t even imagine, but I think it’s the best decision for them both and I know that they will still be able to maintain a friendship.”

It doesn’t sound like you know anything about them at all, actually, Katie.

Wrote Scheana and Mike in a joint statement upon announcing their break-up:

While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship.

Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters.

We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.

Scheana later jumped on Twitter and thanked her fans for their support.

“Thank you all for the love today! It’s never easy to split with someone you still love, but we will always remain friends,” she wrote.

As for what brought the marriage down? And where the relationship will go from here?

A reliable source says more information will leak out as more episodes of Vanderpump Rules air this season.

Tom and Katie may want to tune in.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 1 Recap: Stronger Together

Returning to the airwaves after what seems like an eternity The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 1 featured familiar faces.

The long awaited premiere also revealed a new house guest of Lisa Vanderpump’s — one with a strong celebrity connection, no less.

Who could that be?!

If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online, you know there’s no shortage of star power with this posh crew from the 90210.

However, lots of people were calling the first episode of the brand-new season a snooze-fest, and a slow starter.

When you’re on RHOBH, you’re supposed to crank up the drama to at least 14 — and this is one of the many reasons we miss Brandi Glanville so much.

This season introduced new cast member, Dorit Kemsley, who hails from both New York and London, along with her husband, Paul Kemsley.

Dorit and her husband, randomly, live with Brit sensation, Boy George, and to be honest, bringing BG onto the show — Boy George, that is; not Brandi Glanville — would make things a lot more interesting.

The lovely Yolanda Foster is also gone from the show, and to be honest, it didn’t look like the other Housewives were mourning her absence too hard.

Another cast mate missing from this season is the remaining six feet of Kyle Richards’ hair, which is probably sitting at the bottom of a garbage bag somewhere, crying over its loss.

Kyle chopped her ‘do back in August, but it was still a shock to see the new style during production.

The premiere basically centered around Erika Jayne’s 45th birthday party, which was like a Sex and the City meets Studio 54 meets Boogie Nights redux (without Mark Wahlberg’s penis, sadly).

For her birthday, Erika received a pricey Marc Chagall painting — somewhere in the ballpark of 80k — and a black panther Cartier ring among some other crazy gifts.

The ladies and company gathered at Pump to kick off the celebration with some libations, and truly the only drama we think we’re going to see this season is the fight brewing between Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna.

After sniffing out the dramatics, the new kid on the block, Dorit, said, “I don’t like the idea of women treating women terribly and bullying.”

Honey, do you know where you are?

You’re in the jungle, baby.

The party moved back to Jayne’s house, where she was very inappropriately dressed for a Studio 54-themed party.

Erika was bedecked in a full-length black gown, which doesn’t exactly scream Disco Ducklips.

The dress itself might’ve been the most interesting bit of the party, however — because Jayne was wearing a diamond-encrusted thong underneath.

That’s how you do 45, friends.

The only real drama that occurred — this episode! — was when Rinna and Vanderpump slightly faced off on the dance floor because of last season’s carryover drama.

It’s a brand-new season, ladies … better start churning out some brand-new drama!

Nicki Minaj: SLAMMED for Mockery of Mentally Ill Woman

For Nicki Minaj, it’s one thing to bash Melania Trump.

Some might say the singer was out of line for doing so, considering the real bigoted danger is Melania’s husband, but Minaj didn’t get into all that much trouble in October for referring to Trump as “brainless.”

It’s another thing, however, to make fun of a woman with legitimate mental issues.

And that appears to be what Minaj did in Miami this week.

The artist was filming a homeless woman on the sidewalk (for some reason) when the woman made some kind of remark about how she doesn’t need Nicki’s cellphone.

The woman then walked away, rambling to herself and very clearly seeming out of sorts.

But Minaj felt a need to call after her, saying on camera:

“What you said? Miss? Come here! What did I do? Can we talk?”

Nicki was laughing during this mostly one-sided exchange and included a laughing emoji as her caption when sharing the footage on Instagram.

You can see it here:

A video posted by Nicki Minaj (@nickiminaj) on

Commenters didn’t takevery  kindly to the post, with many locals actually saying the woman being taunted by Minaj in the clip is mentally ill. For real.

“I live in south beach and i know every homeless [person] around. We have a loooot of those around and she has mental illness,” wrote one follower.

Added another:

“You talk about privilege when you don’t get an award you want, but then you use your wealth and fame to abuse this woman who’s less fortunate than you? Hypocritical.”

And yet another chimed in as follows:

“why was this necessary to be put up on social media? Not cool. You sit in your nice limo and roll your window down to make fun of the less fortunate. Mental illness is a real issue… Use your platform to encourage kindness.”

It’s hard to argue with any of these points, isn’t it?

Even if Nicki was unaware of the woman’s mental state… why is she filming a random person on the street?

Why is she engaging with someone who isn’t in a proper state of mind? Why is she laughing at her?!?

A rep for National Alliance of Mental Illness-Miami learned of this incident and contacted The New York Post.

It said via statement:

“Whether or not the woman in the video has a mental illness or other disability, Nicki Minaj’s unfortunate exchange with the elderly woman illustrates the importance for everyone to understand the nature of mental illness and its symptoms and the need for compassionate treatment.”

Added the organization:

One in five people in the United States will suffer from a mental illness at least once in their lifetime. That means anyone can be affected by it, even celebrities.

Celebrities should use their influence among young people in a positive manner to bring awareness to the real issues surrounding mental illness. Nobody would make fun of a cancer patient, and mental illness is an illness like any other.

Fortunately more and more celebrities are opening up about their struggles with mental health creating empathy among the public, and we hope these positive attitudes overshadow the mocking and stereotyping so common in our media.

All well said. And here’s a look at celebrities who do actually suffer from a mental illness:

Minaj has not yet commented on the incident.

But it would be in her best interest to issue a simple apology, say that she was unaware of the woman’s condition and then return to posting nip slip photos on social media instead.
