Girls is getting ready to say goodbye.
Sources have confirmed to E! News that the popular, controversial series will go off the air for good following Season 6.
Before you start wondering what you’ll ever do without Hannah and company in your life, remember:
Girls is yet to even premiere Season 5. So we still have many mostly naked adventures to go on with Lena Dunham and her co-stars.
This news is not really breaking, of course.
Dunham has often said that the series she writes, producers and stars in will end in 2017.
“It’s really exciting,” Dunham told radio host Elvis Duran in September. “I started working on this show when I was 23, and I’m going to be 30, so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world.”
Girls – which also features Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet – will kick off Season 5 on February 21 with a six-month time jump.
Events will pick up after a fourth season finale that saw all of the girls in surprising new places in life, including Hannah in a new relationship with Fran and Shoshanna living in Japan.
Will you miss Girls when it’s gone?
