Kim Kardashian BLASTS Wall Street Journal for Anti-Armenia Ad

It’s incredibly rare that we hear Kim Kardashian speak on a topic other than herself.

But yesterday, she broke with tradition and addressed her displeasure at a controversial ad that appeared in The Wall Street Journal.

The full-page ad denied the Armenian genocide that started in 1915, asserting that the number of deaths were overstated by historians and that the people of Armenia were to blame.

Kim, whose family is of Armenian descent, lashed out at the paper on her blog, writing:

“Money talks, and right now it’s talking sh*t.

“My family and I are no strangers to BS in the press. We’ve learned to brush it off. Lies make good headlines, good headlines make great covers, great covers sell magazines.

“But when I heard about this full-page ad that ran in the Wall Street Journal denying the Armenian genocide, I couldn’t just brush it off.

“For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting and dangerous.

It’s one thing when a sh*tty tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide — it’s shameful and unacceptable.”

The WSJ defended itself by claiming that it accepts a “wide range of advertisements, including those with provocative viewpoints.”

According to the reality star, the ad in question was purchased by Turkic Platform, a Turkish group that denies the genocide took place.

Kim didn’t buy the paper’s excuse and continued with her diatribe.

“Advocating the denial of a genocide by the country responsible for it—that’s not publishing a ‘provocative viewpoint,’ that’s spreading lies,” she continued.

“If this had been an ad denying the Holocaust, or pushing some 9/11 conspiracy theory, would it have made it to print?” she added.

All excellent points, we have to say.

Maybe politics is Kim’s true calling.

First she brokers a peace talk between hostile enemies Kylie Jenner and Blac Chyna, and now this.
