Because Liam Hemsworth is not walking down the aisle with Miley Cyrus any time soon.
Despite talk that the handsome actor and wild singer were recently married in a private beach ceremony, Hemsworth himself appeared on Australia’s TV Week a few days ago and said very simply:
“I am not engaged, no.”
Oh… ok then. Our bad!
Rumors that the off-again, on-again couple had once again agreed to get married started to swirl in January after Cyrus was spotted wearing the 3.5 carat engagement ring she had previously accepted before her split from The Hunger Games hunk in 2013.
The romantic reconciliation has taken many by surprise.
But not anyone who has been close to Cyrus for the past couple years.
“Miley is where she has wanted to be for the past two years. Back with Liam and very happy,” a source told People several weeks ago.
“Miley never wanted to split. Things just got so bad that they really needed the break.”
And now?
There may be no marriage plans, but Cyrus and Hemsworth are most definitely back together.
It’s very possible they rushed into an engagement last time around. So they’re likely playing it smart by taking it slower now and let’s hope it works out for the best for everyone involved.
