Tarek & Christina El Moussa: Has Divorce Been Good For Their Careers?

If you’re a fan of the HGTV series Flip or Flop, you’re probably aware that Tarek and Christina El Moussa are getting divorced.

And this isn’t one of those situations where the couple gradually grew apart and mutually decided to call it quits.

No, the El Moussas separated after a frightening altercation during which Tarek brandished a gun and allegedly threatened suicide.

What’s truly bizarre about the situation, however, is the apparent lack of fallout.

The El Moussas are still working together, and they say they see no reason why either of them should leave the show they helped create.

There were plenty of skeptics who doubted that viewers would tune in for a lighthearted house-flipping show hosted by a former couple fresh out of a seriously unhealthy relationship.

Amazingly, however, it looks as though all the recent drama has actually made the show more popular than ever.

“They were convinced when the news broke about their separating that it was going to hurt the show, especially as more details about their fighting and the nature of their relationship came out,” a source close to the situation tells E! News.

“Everyone thought it would be their last season, but ratings and ad sales for the show skyrocketed.”

In a recent interview with Good Morning America, Christina spoke about her ex-husband and co-host in glowing terms:

“We have so much fun on set and we look forward to continuing the show,” Christina said.

“We met at work, so we worked together before we ever started dating.”

Tarek echoed that sentiment while speaking with Today last week:

“We love filming. That’s our job. We’ve been doing it a long time,” he told Joe Fryer.

“We love releasing a good product for our fans and just had to fight through it and do the best we could and I think it turned out great.”

it would make sense that Tarek and Christina would launch a PR tour in hopes of saving the show they both worked so hard to build an audience for.

What’s remarkable is that HGTV seems just as optimistic about the future of the series:

“HGTV is thrilled to bring new chapters, new stories and new talent to complement a series that’s been a big success on its air,” said a spokesperson for the network in a recent statement.

Of course, the sad truth of the situation is that a big reason for the show’s recent viewership boom is the amount of free tabloid publicity the El Moussas have received in recent weeks.

Only time will tell if those newcomers will stick around after the dust has settled.

Tarek & Christina El Moussa: Instagram Pic Sparks Reunion Rumors!

It’s been three months since we first learned that Flip or Flop hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa had separated.

Given the ugly nature of the incident that led them to split (sources say Tarek brandished a gun and threatened suicide), it’s not surprising that the El Moussas moved fast when it came to legally end their marriage.

Christina El Moussa filed for divorce just weeks after she and Tarek moved into separate homes.

These days, she’s rumored to have already moved on and begun dating Gary Anderson, a contractor who frequently worked with the El Moussas.

But while the HGTV personalities may have made haste in their efforts to bring about a clear and decisive end to their time as man and wife, it seems they have no intention of establishing separate lives.

Christina and Tarek have two kids together, so they’re bound together by their co-parenting duties, but that’s only the beginning of the complexity.

Despite being in the midst of one of the ugliest celebrity divorces in recent memory, the El Moussas plan to continue working together.

Yes, both Tarek and Christina are planning to stay on as co-hosts of Flip or Flop.

The move would make sense if it were the kind of reality show that capitalizes on high drama, but it’s most certainly not …

It’s an innocuous, lighthearted house-flipping series that depicts the El Moussas as the sort of annoyingly happy couple you might want as neighbors.

So the El Moussas are gonna have to engage in some serious image rehab if they want to make audiences forget about the drama of the past few months.

And based on their social media profiles, it looks like they’ve already begun:

The El Moussas popped up on one another’s Instagram pages last night, seemingly following an onstage performance by their daughter:

“Taylor did SOOO amazing at her Peter Pan performance!” Tarek captioned the pic above.

“Now… dad gets to watch it for the next THREE nights lol but worth every moment… LOVE HER”

Yeesh. Four consecutive nights of a grade school play, huh?

That sounds almost as painful as watching a newly-divorced couple pretend to be besities while navigating the real estate market.

We kid!

Christina El Moussa on Divorce: It"s All Good!

Christina El Moussa has once again spoken out on her split from Tarek El Moussa.

Unlike her estranged husband and Flip or Flip co-host – who has remained mostly out of the spotlight ever since filing for divorce in January – Christina has been fairly regularly addressing her personal life with various media outlets.

Most notably, Christina sat down with People Magazine for a lengthy cover story on the topic last month.

“There’s a lot of false stories and a lot of hype, but in the end we’re just normal, nice people who just want to be the best parents and coworkers that we can be,” Christina told that publication at the time.

Among the rumors that have followed Christina and Tarek around since their separation:

  • Tarek grabbed a gun and bolted for the woods after a fight with Christina in May (since confirmed).

  • Christina dated family contracted Gary Anderson for several months after the break-up (since confirmed).

  • Tarek often berated Christina on set, even joking about raping her on more than one occasion (not confirmed).

Parents to an 18-month old son named Brayden and a six-year old daughter named Taylor, Tarek and Christina suffered through communication problems after she had a miscarriage in 2014 and he was then diagnosed with cancer.

She told People that she returned to work too quickly after giving birth to Brayden and that the tension simply reached an untenable breaking point after awhile.

“It is what it is and we are going through a divorce and eventually we will be dating other people,” she told the magazine, adding:

“I’m happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life and I just hope he’s happy.”

Now, in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Christina reiterates that she and Tarek are doing just fine.

She appears to scoff at any chatter to the contrary.

“Honestly, I’m doing really good. I’m in a really good place,” Christina told Lauren Zima at the All-Star Chef Classic at L.A. Live.

“The kids are happy, they’re healthy, Tarek and I are in a good spot. We have a lot of things that we’re working on, cool things coming in the future, so we’re just looking forward.”

Cool things coming, huh?

Previous reports had indicated that Christina and Tarek would only continue working together through the current season of Flip or Flop.

They each allegedly want a solo show down the line, while HGTV is planning five Flip or Flop spinoffs… but none starring the El Moussas.

For now, though, Christina is simply focused the original version of this franchise.

“We have an amazing crew, they are the funest, funniest guys, and they just keep everything super upbeat and light,” she told ET, adding:

“Tarek and I have worked together for 10 years, and we’re going to continue to work together. We’re getting along really, really well right now.”

Is that really feasible, given all the stars have been through?

It’s just letting go of past resentment and living in the future, and remembering that kids are the priority,” she explained of how the ex-couple stays on solid terms.

“And we are going to be in each other’s lives for forever, so we just decided to put the past in the past and move on.”

Sounds like a lesson many other parents should heed: despite your personal difficulties, the kids always need to come first.

Christina also says she has a book on the way, one that will document this entire experience.

“Going through a divorce is tough on anyone, so I’m just kind of writing about some of the experiences that I’ve had and things that have really helped me cope, and just hoping I can help people going through similar situations.

“Putting the kids first and recognizing the fact that we need to be happy, healthy, wonderful parents [has helped me cope.

“Other things that have helped me a lot is – I’ve found yoga, and yoga has really helped me relieve a lot of stress and really helped me think that I have control over my emotions and just really find peace.”

Christina Grimmie: Family Thanks Fans for Support in Heartbreaking Statement

Will there ever be a time when simply hearing Christina Grimmie’s name doesn’t bring a tear to your eye and an ache to your heart.

Honestly, probably not.

Christina was just 22 years old, all set to be a huge pop star, when she was murdered after a concert in Orlando.

A man named Kevin Loibl — who, by several accounts, was very unhealthily obsessed with Christina — approached her while she was signing autographs and shot her.

Her brother Marcus was able to wrestle Loibl to the ground, but the shooter quickly turned his gun on himself.

To call it a nightmare would be a huge understatement, obviously, but the nightmare continues on to this day: the Grimmie family is in the middle of a legal battle against the entertainment company that owns the venue where Christina died.

The issue, the Grimmies believe, was that the venue didn’t have appropriate security in place to protect the performers, or anyone, really. And that’s a fair point, considering Loibl was able to waltz in with two handguns.

It must be terrible for her family to have to deal with a legal battle along with their unimaginable grief, but one thing is for sure: Christina’s fans are, to this day, a source of comfort for them.

And they said as much in a touching message shared to Christina’s Twitter account.

See, Christina won a Teen Choice Award last July — she was named Choice Web Star in the Music category.

Her fans took issue with the show at the time, since Christina’s award wasn’t announced during the broadcast of the awards show. In fact, her name wasn’t mentioned even once.

It seemed like a pretty big oversight, considering that the Teen Choice Awards aired just a month after her murder.

When you consider that they also included an entire tribute dedicated to victims of gun violence and their surviving family members, still with no mention of Christina … yeah, her fans were upset.

But it seems like after all these months, the Teen Choice Awards pulled it together long enough to get Christina’s award to her family. About time, right?

Her parents shared the picture of the award:

Along with the photo, they thanked “#TeanGrimmie” for helping them finally get the award.

“Your commitment to Christina’s legacy and making your voice heard online is a blessing to us,” they wrote. “We also acknowledge those who supported behind the scenes to make this a reality.”

“Thank you with love!”

And Christina’s fans were quick to share their ongoing support.

“She deserved this more than anyone else,” one person commented, and another said “We won’t let her be forgotten.”

One fan wrote “I’m so happy. Christina deserved that award and I’m sure she is smiling in heaven. God bless all.”

We’re not crying. You’re crying.

Christina El Moussa Throws Subtle Shade at Tarek, Makes Heartbreaking Confession

According to a new report, Christina El Moussa is no longer running her tongue over the body of Gary Anderson.

She and the man she dated for a few months after splitting from husband Tarek have ended their relationship.

With her tongue therefore free to do other things, Christina has decided to not bite it.

In other, less confusing terms, what we’re saying is this:

El Moussa hopped on Instagram this afternoon and hurled some shade in the direction of Tarek, her estranged ex and ongoing Flip or Flop co-star.

Both of these HGTV employees have been in the news a lot over the past few days, with Tarek and Christina actually giving duel interviews on Today and Good Morning America, respectively, on Tuesday.

In his pre-taped sit-down, delved into detail regarding the strange incident last May in which he stormed out of his house with a gun, following an argument with Christina.

He said he was never suicidal and simply wanted to protect himself against wild animals in the woods while he blew off some steam via a hike.

Tarek also admitted that it’s been a little awkward filming Flip or Flop with Christina, but that both sides agree on what’s most important these days:

“The number one goal is to co-parent our children. We have to make sure we remain friendly.”

As you can see in the above clip, Tarek didn’t say anything too controversial in his Today Show interview.

Nevertheless, Christina definitely appears to have taken a shot at her soon-to-be-ex-husband in her latest Instagram post.

It’s a photo of a very serious looking tiger, staring into camera, with the following words plastered over his face:

Be selective in your battles. Sometimes peace is better than being right.

el moussa tweet

Our translation here?

I’m right. Tarek is wrong. But I’m gonna take the high road, place my children’s well-being above all else and keep the peace. Even though, remember… I’m right!

What has Tarek said or done that prompted Christina’s shade? We can’t say for certain at the moment.

Elsewhere, Christina opened up to People Magazine for its latest issue, admitting that communication between her and Tarek fell apart to such a degree that they didn’t even drive to the Flip or Flop set together toward the end of their marriage.

She doesn’t sound bitter at this point, however.

“It is what it is and we are going through a divorce and eventually we will be dating other people,” El Moussa tells the publication, adding:

“I’m happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life and I just hope he’s happy.”

In a newly-released excerpt from the cover story, Christina also tells a sad tale about the separation and its aftermath.

When she first moved out, Christina said she kept the reasons why pretty “vague” in talking to daughter Taylor, which worked for a little bit because the family often renovated their house and would live elsewhere temporarily.

Later, however, once the couple decided that reconciliation was not on the table, Christina says:

“Taylor asked if we could get back together. We had to explain that sometimes couples get divorced but that she and Brayden are our No. 1 priority. We’ll always be a family.”

That’s a sad thing to hear, but a few months after Tarek and Christina called it quits, it sounds as if six-year Taylor and 17-month old Brayden are doing well.

“Our kids are amazing … our kids are transitioning well,” Christina said Tuesday on Good Morning America.

“Tarek and I are friends and we have a lot of support from our family. The kids are doing great.”

Christina Grimmie: Could Her Death Have Been Prevented?!

Last June, Christina Grimmie was murdered while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando, Florida.

She was only 22 years old.

The whole thing is tragic any way you look at it — she was so young, she was killed while spending time with her fans, her death was so incredibly violent — but as we’re learning now, there’s one more awful aspect to it.

And that aspect is that, according to new legal documents filed by Christina’s family, her death could have very easily been prevented.

Christina’s parents filed a wrongful death lawsuit late last year against AEG, an entertainment company and the owners of the Plaza Live Theater, the venue where she was shot.

AEG asked the court to dismiss the suit, claiming that Christina’s family had no real reason to blame them for what happened.

These new documents are ones that the Grimmie family just filed — documents urging the court not to dismiss the case because AEG is certainly responsible for Christina’s death.

As the documents explain, “Christina’s killer, Kevin Loibl, was able to enter The Plaza Live Theater with two 9mm Glock handguns, two full magazines and a large hunting knife.”

“He was able to bring these weapons into The Plaza Live Theater notwithstanding the presence of security personnel hired by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, who conducted bag checks at the entrance of the theater, but failed to detect Loibl’s arsenal.”

“Although the presence of security personnel demonstrates that Defendants were aware of the possibility of violent actions at the theater, including against Christina and the other performers,” proper measures weren’t taken to ensure their safety.

“The security personnel stationed at the entrance of The Plaza Live Theater did not use stationary metal detectors, metal detector wands or body pat downs to ensure that attendees at the scheduled concert did not have firearms or other weapons upon entering the theater.”

So that’s all pretty bizarre, right? These days, most venues require a bag check and a light pat down at the very least — many people can’t sneak in cameras or booze, and this guy was able to walk in with two guns?

And what’s more, when Loibl shot Christina, security guards weren’t the ones to take him down. Christina’s own brother was the one to tackle him.

“After Christina’s performance,” the legal documents explain, “while she was conducting a ‘met and greet’ with fans, Loibl fired three shots into her. His barrage was only stopped by Christina’s older brother and road manager, plaintiff Marcus Grimmie, who wrestled Loibl to the ground, before Loibl broke free and killed himself.”

“Marcus sustained a quadriceps tear on this left leg and body bruises as a result of his heroic actions, and lives with the emotional distress resulting from witnessing his sister being shot to death in front of him.”

This is important because the lawsuit also mentions Marcus’ emotional distress — which is pretty easy to understand.

The documents conclude by stating that “The simple fact is that, had defendants taken reasonable security precautions at The Plaza Live Theater, and prevented Loibl from entering with his arsenal, Christina would be alive today.”

It’s so sad that this even has to be an argument — it seems pretty obvious that the man who killed Christina shouldn’t have been able to waltz in a concert with two loaded guns.

Hopefully her family can see a little bit of justice.

Christina El Moussa and Gary Anderson: It"s Over!

Christina El Moussa is no longer mixing business with pleasure.

The Flip or Flop co-host, who separated from her husband last spring and who is in the middle of a divorce from fellow HGTV star Tarek El Moussa, has broken up with her marital rebound.

Indeed, according to Christina’s own spokesperson, she is no longer dating Gary Anderson.

“Christina is single and being in a relationship is the last thing on her mind,” El Moussa’s rep, Cassandra Zebisch, tells Us Weekly, adding:

“She is taking this time to focus on her children and herself.”

Christina and Tarek split up in May of 2016 after an argument led to the latter grabbing a gun and going off into the woods.

Police were called to the scene and Tarek explained that he was simply taking a weapon with him for protection from wild animals.

No charges were filed, but Christina tells the latest issue of People Magazine that this incident was the culmination of a major low period for the couple.

“We went through a lot in a short amount of time,” El Moussa explains to the publication, citing Tarek’s thyroid cancer diagnosis and the birth of their second child, Braydon.

Saying that she returned to work four weeks after giving birth (“It was too soon,” she admits now), Christina adds:

“I was overwhelmed. The tension between me and Tarek was high… We weren’t able to properly communicate anymore. It got to the point where we weren’t even driving to set together.”

At some point after her separation, Christina started a romance with Gary Anderson.

He worked for years as a contractor for the couple and actually witnessed the scary argument and subsequent storm-out by Tarek referenced above.

According to various sources, Christina did not cheat. Neither her nor Tarek has accused the other of infidelity.

But Tarek knows Anderson well. Multiple tabloid reports said this relationship did not sit well with him.

Hollywood Life, for example, wrote last month that Tarek felt “shocked and betrayed” by Christina and Gary’s dalliance.

To the credit of both reality stars, however, they have said only the right things in public.

They continue to insist that they want to remain on amicable terms in order to best serve as co-parents to one-year old son Brayden and six-year old daughter Taylor.

“[We] will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together,” Tarek and Christina said back when they announced their break-up.

“We are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.”

On Monday, Christina appeared on Good Morning America, while Tarek chatted with the Today Show.

It was either an amazing coincident or a coordinated media blitz agreed upon by two people who have dreams of landing their own solo shows down the line.

“I’m not gonna say [it’s been] easy,” Tarek told Today of being on set with his estranged wife while filming new episodes of Flip or Flop, adding:

“We’ve been doing it a long time, and we love releasing a good product for our fans. Just try to fight through it and do the best we can.”

Now that Christina is single again, might Tarek also try to do her the best he can?

Could there be a reconciliation in the cards?

Don’t count on it.

Christina El Moussa Speaks on Divorce: Where Did It All Go Wrong?

Christina El Moussa went head-to-head with Tarek El Moussa this morning.

Both halves of the estranged couple – who still hosts Flip or Flop on HGTV together, despite their December divorce filing – appeared on quasi news programs, speaking for the first time publicly about their split.

Christina, for instance, appeared as a guest on Good Morning America, generally referring to the tabloid chatter that’s been surrounding the reality stars of late and saying:

“There’s a lot of false stories and a lot of hype, but in the end we’re just normal, nice people who just want to be the best parents and coworkers that we can be.”

Tarek and Christina are parents to an 18-month old named Brayden and a six-year old named Taylor.

Speaking to The Today Show, Tarek reiterated the former couple’s commitment to their kids.

“We have to make sure we remain friendly because we have to make sure they have good parents,” Tarek says in the following clip:

Christina, meanwhile, is also featured on the cover of this week’s People Magazine.

She goes into detail about her and Tarek’s break-up for the first time within this issue’s pages.

“Like any couple, we had our share of issues,” Christina tells the publication. “But we went through a lot in a short amount of time.”

She and Tarek separated in May following a scary incident that involved an argument, a gun and the police.

The news of their separation went public a few months later, at which time they issued a joint statement that made it seem as if they were on solid terms.

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” the pair said in December, adding:

“We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”

Flip or Flop launched on HGTV in 2013.

Not long afterward, Tarek learned he had thyroid cancer.

As he went through radiation treatment, Christina also started a difficult struggle to get pregnant via in vitro fertilization and suffered a miscarriage in 2014.

Little Brayden was then born, and Christina returned to work just four weeks later.

“It was too soon for me,” she tells People.

“I was overwhelmed. The tension between me and Tarek was high. “We weren’t able to properly communicate anymore. It got to the point where we weren’t even driving to set together.”

By the time the El Moussas confirmed their split to the public, they had been living apart for six months.

So the announcement felt like a “weight” had been lifted off Christina, she says.

What about talk that she’s now sleeping with Gary Anderson, the family’s ex-contractor?

“Tarek and I don’t discuss each other’s personal lives,” she says.

“It is what it is and we are going through a divorce and eventually we will be dating other people. I’m happy for him and whatever steps he takes in his life and I just hope he’s happy.”

As for the most important people in all this? The stars’ two young children? Says Christina:

“Our kids are amazing … Our kids are transitioning well.

“Tarek and I are friends and we have a lot of support from our family. The kids are doing great.”

For more from Christina on how she’s dealing with divorce in the spotlight, co-parenting and still working with her ex, Tarek, pick up this week’s issue of People.

It will be available on newsstands Friday.

Christina El Moussa: Blindsided by Tarek! Furious! Ready to Move On!

Christina El Moussa has had it.

She has simply had it.

Earlier this week, we reported that Christina and estranged husband Tarek both wanted to move on from their joint business and pursue some kind of solo project after the current season of Flip or Flip completes filming.

In his effort to take this step, Tarek recently went ahead and dropped Christina from his real estate business, rebranding the agency Tarek and Associates.

But that move was made without Christina’s knowledge.

And she wasn’t happy with the way Tarek handled it.

“Tarek and Christina are keeping it together by a string,” an insider tells Hollywood Life, adding:

“She was blindsided by his new business ad. Their lawyers have been working out splitting up their assets and their joint businesses so she knew it would happen eventually, but not like this.

“He didn’t give her a heads up, which makes her incredibly mad. She’s furious.”

Granted, Christina has reportedly been angling for a HGTV spinoff of her own for quite some time now.

So it’s not as though she wants to keep working with her ex. She just wants the two of them to remain on amicable, mature terms.

Tarek, however, is now circulating ads in Orange County with just his face and name on them, looking to attract new business.

But what about the 2017 Investor Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month? What about the smiles plastered across Tarek and Christina’s faces while they appeared together in public?

Didn’t this mean all was good between the former couple?

Not quite.

“Tarek and Christina were definitely putting on a show for the public,” a witness said of this event, which took place on Februaty 10.

“When the cameras weren’t pointed at them, the smiles dropped and there was definite tension between them. They did not look happy to be together, at all.

“It’s clear they’re just going through the motions in an attempt to save their show.”

Ah, yes, the show.

The El Moussas are under contract for this season of Flip or Flop.

After they confirmed their split in November, the network released a statement of support, saying it would be happy to keep working with Tarek and Christina for the foreseeable future.

But it seems very unlikely that the series will continue beyond this year, not with damning accusations against Tarek running rampant around the Internet.

“To say that Christina is sick to death of all the Tarek drama would be an understatement,” a second insider tells Hollywood Life, expounding as follows:

“The past year has been nothing but stress and heartbreak for Christina. She desperately wants the divorce finalized so she can finally move on with her life and start afresh.

“Living in this limbo is beyond painful for her and she’s totally done with playing nice for the cameras.”

We can only imagine.

Tarek filed for divorce in December, a couple months after he and Christina issued a joint statement that referenced a troubling incident from last May in which the stars fought… Tarek grabbed a gun… left the house… and was confronted by cops in the woods.

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” the pair late last year.

“We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”

Parents to a young girl and even younger boy, they concluded:

“We are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be.”

Neither Christina or Tarek has said much in public since.

Both have updated their Instagram pages with sweet photos of themselves and their children.

However, the tension remains palpable.

“[Christina and Tarek’s] relationship is really bad and they are only pretending to be nice to one another,” adds another source.

“It’s all an act for the cameras, their fans and more than anyone, producers and network heads who could potentially give them their own solo shows.”

Tarek and Christina El Moussa: We Hate Each Other and We Want Solo Shows!

They’re putting on a good front, or at least trying, but Tarek and Christina El Moussa are “desperately trying” to launch their own solo careers.

According to reports, the Flip or Flop stars are “terrified” their TV careers are over and are pulling out all the stops to ensure they survive.

Even if the marriage that helped launch said careers is kaput.

While Christina El Moussa dating Gary Anderson quietly and insisting everything is fine with estranged ex Tarek, we’re not so certain.

Tarek El Moussa has dropped Christina from his real estate business amid their split, recently rebranding his agency Tarek and Associates.

Christina, 33, is also pursuing her own career goals, but according to Hollywood Life, there probably going to be an adjustment period.

“Unfortunately, they are terrified of going back to ‘civilian’ life off TV,” a source said, and that isn’t exclusive to the female Flip or Flop star.

“Christina loves being on TV and wants to parlay Flip Or Flop into a bigger career in front of the camera,” says the insider.

As for El Moussa’s soon-to-be-ex-better half?

“Tarek’s also about the perks that come with being a TV star,” says the insider, though Tarek’s enjoyment of that is somewhat different.

“He loves the attention he gets from women.”

Despite the fact that his partnership with Christina is at the crux of Flip or Flop, Tarek’s actions prove he’s ready to move on from her.

Both professionally and personally.

He’s reportedly circulating ads in Orange County, California with only his picture and information on it, and has started working with Sotheby’s.

In other words, she can say filming Flip or Flop with Tarek is great and put on a good front on Instagram, but that facade is crumbling.

Everyone who knows them knows.

“Tarek and Christina were definitely putting on a show for the public,” an eyewitness dished after the El Moussas’ first post-split appearance.

“When the cameras weren’t pointed at them the smiles dropped and there was [a lot of] tension between them,” one source explained.

“They did not look happy to be together, at all.”

“It’s clear they’re just going through the motions in an attempt to save their show,” and the likelihood of that remains uncertain at best.

If so, Christina’s going through them well.

She shared a candid shot of the crew, including her ex Tarek, on February 15, gushing about the whole team effort that is Flip or Flop.

“I’ve never met a group of more positive, fun-loving, funny … all around amazing guys,” writes the HGTV star and mother of two.

“Filming 7 seasons of #FlipOrFlop has been a breeze because of them. I <3 each and every one of you,” Christina added in the caption.

Again, it’s not fooling anyone close to her.

In Touch claims that Christina cheated on Tarek with Anderson, and that she may have been spotted with Gary before anyone knew about it.

The celebrity gossip publication alleges that Tarek caught her sending explicit text messages to the contractor, once employed by the couple.

In the fight that ensued – which led to a 911 call and, months later, TMZ knowing about it, Tarek reportedly pulled a gun on his spouse.

They both chalked this up to a misunderstanding, with Tarek surrendering all (legal) weapons to the cops and no criminal charges filed.

Still, it was never the same between them after that, and allegedly, Tarek made a habit of demeaning his wife in front of the whole crew.

“When she said the wrong thing and they had to do a retake, he got pissed. He often made her cry,” an HGTV insider told the magazine.

“Tarek found humor in humiliating his wife in repeated verbal attacks,” one source close to production claims, and it was bad … really bad.

“Some of his bad behavior was even caught on camera [in footage that never aired]. Tarek called Christina a ‘whore’ on set many times.”

There is even a claim that Tarek threatened to rape Christina within earshot of people working on Flip or Flop, which is just horrifying.

We hope that’s not true and that they really can work through whatever issues they have for the sake of their young son and daughter.

Christina El Moussa on Flip or Flop: Nothing to See Here! Filming is Going Well!

Christina El Moussa appears to be well aware of the reports out there.

She may even read The Hollywood Gossip.

(If so: hi there, Christina!!!!!!)

Over the past few weeks, the seemingly amicable split between Christina and husband Tarek has come across as less and less amicable everyday.

According to one report, Tarek used to threaten rape against Christina.

According to another report, Tarek once hired a private investigator to track his wife’s whereabouts.

We can’t verify either of these accounts, but it seems pretty clear that Tarek and Christina were not some perfect couple, no matter how in love they may have seemed on screen during episodes of Flip or Flop.

Still, the former couple is under contract to still film these episodes, which they’ve been doing even as negative stories continue to float around the Internet.

But Christina recently took to Instagram in order to calm things down a bit.

She clearly wants fans to have a more positive impression of her and the reality show in order to ensure they tune in each week.

“I’ve never met a group of more positive, fun-loving, funny… all around amazing guys… filming 7 seasons of #FlipOrFlop has been a breeze because of them,” Christina wrote alongside a snapshot of herself, Tarek and some crew members this week.

She added:

“I [love] each and every one of you. @hgtv.”

Tarek and Christina are standing on opposite sides of each other in the photo.

But both are smiling broadly.

About a week ago, Christina left fans concerned, also due to an image she shared on Instagram.

It’s possible that some folks were looking a bit too deeply into what may have been a simple selfie, but El Moussa posted the following picture on her account and captioned it with the words “Thursday vibes” last week.

Some followers left comments that wondered if Christina was crying out for help, due to the sad look on her beautiful face.

An insider tells Entertainment Tonight that it really has been “business as usual” for the former couple, despite their ongoing divorce.

(Tarek filed the papers for it in December.)

“They’re working together on set. They’re fine,” this source said a little while ago. “They are able to work together and continue their business.”

Christina, of course, is dating ex-family contractor Gary Anderson, which is clearly a sore spot for Tarek.

However:

“They remain committed to their children and co-parenting,” the source told ET. “Their children are their number one priority. They’ll always communicate. They’re going to be cordial for the best of their family.”

Indeed, Tarek and Christina have a six-year old girl named Taylor at home and an 18-month old boy named Brayden.

For the sake of these precious kids, let’s hope Mom and Dad really do work out their issues and focus on raising the children in as stable an environment as possible.

Christina Grimmie: Snubbed By Grammys In Memoriam Tribute

In June of 2016 Christina Grimmie was murdered while signing autographs for fans following a performance in Orlando.

Coming as it did just one day before the Orlando nightclub massacre, Grimmie’s death set off shockwaves of grief and fear, with fans mourning not only the loss of the spirited 22-year-old, but also the loss of what she might have become.

So no matter how many times it happens, it always comes as a surprise when Grimmie is left out of a memorial segment on major award show.

First, Grimmie was snubbed by the Emmys, and now her fans are expressing outrage once again, as Christina was left out of the in memoriam segment of last night’s Grammy awards.

The lives of numerous music legends came to an end in 2016 and the Grammys paid tribute to David Bowie, Prince, and George Michael over the course of the evening.

When it came time for the montage honoring all those who passed, however, Grimmie’s name and image were glaringly omitted.

Fans immediately took to social media to express their displeasure:

“Hey, remember when Christina Grimmie was murdered outside of her show? Cause apparently no memoriams do,” tweeted one viewer.

“It’s a shame they didn’t add Christina Grimmie in the ‘In Memoriam’. That girl was so good to her fans & had a VOICE!” wrote another.

Grimmie was a contestant on NBC’s The Voice, and she was just starting to establish a fan base and a distinctive solo career when she was tragically gunned down.

Despite her youth, Grimmie had a tremendous impact within the entertainment industry and stars such as Ellen DeGeneres and Adam Levine publicly paid tribute in the days following her death.

Levine even offered to pay for Grimmie’s funeral and described working with the young songstress as a once in a lifetime experience.

Shortly after her death, Billboard magazine published an open letter to congress demanding more stringent background checks prior to gun sales.

More than 200 recording artists signed the letter, including Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr.

Needless to say, Grimmie’s influence stretched well beyond the world of music.

And her fans are justified in their outrage over the lack of proper respect for her memory.
