Tamera Mowry Offered Condolences on Niece"s Death from The Real Co-Hosts

Heartbreaking news came as yet another mass shooting claimed 12 innocent lives, this time in Thousand Oaks, California.

Alaina Housley, niece of Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley, was among those slain in this horrific attack.

Now, Tamera’s co-hosts on The Real are releasing statements of sorrow and comfort on social media.

Loni Love broke the tragic news to her followers.

“Unfortunately Alaina was one of the victims in the mass shooting,” she shared.

Loni asked her fans to “please keep The Housley’s in your prayers at this time.”

She sent her own “positive thoughts and prayers to all the families right now waiting to hear about their loved ones from the #borderlinemassshooting.”

“I really don’t know what to say other than I love this girl with all my heart,” Loni continued.

“And,” Loni shared. “I’d give my life right now for a miracle.”

“My sweet, sweet Alaina,” Loni wrote in a subsequent post. “Oh how I miss you. Oh how I miss u.”

Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Houghton shared almost identical posts to their Instagram Stories.

“Please join us in praying for Alaina Housley,” the message shared by both of them begins.

The message appears to be part of a pre-made e-card designed to ask for prayers.

“Praying for all the families hurting,” the script says.

“Today Lord, we cry out to you on behalf of all those [whose] hearts are hurting,” the message continues.

The message also notes that they are praying for “My dear friends Tamera, Adam, and the whole Housley family.”

At least some parts of the message may have been sent out before it was confirmed that Alaina had died.

The Real also issued a statement.

“The Real is heartbroken for the victims of the senseless tragedy in Thousand Oaks,” the statement begins.

The statement continues: “which included Alaina Housley, the niece of Tamera and Adam Housley.”

“We send prayers and strength to all the victims’ families and their community,” The Real says.

“As well as our gratitude to the first responders,” the statement adds.

In conclusion, The Real writes: “We send all our love and our deepest condolences to the Housleys, our family, during this difficult time.”

Tamera and Adam issued their own statement.

“Our hearts are broken,” the couple shared. “We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks.”

“Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her,” they affirm.

The statement continues: “and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner.”

“We thank everyone for your prayers,” they conclude. “And ask for privacy at this time.”

We know that a lot of statements of grief can sound impersonal. That is okay. People need time to grieve.

No one is suggesting that Alaina’s death is more tragic than the horrific murders of the 11 other innocents.

But it’s important to recognize how outrageously common mass shootings have become. They occur on an almost daily basis within the United States.

They’re so common that anyone, even one of those rare individuals with a famous relative, could fall victim.

In fact, some of those who survived the Thousand Oaks shooting — and at least one of those who died — were also survivors of last year’s Las Vegas shooting.

This should not be how the world is. This is devastating.

Our hearts go out to the dead, the wounded, the survivors, and the loved ones of everyone involved.

The View Co-Hosts: RANKED!

The only thing consistent about the hosts on The View over the years has been a lack of consistency.

The talk show debuted in 1997 and has cycled through at least one new panelist on a nearly annual basis.

Who has been the best? The worst? The least memorable?

18. Star Jones

Star jones

When you use this platform as a way to receive free wedding gifts, and then you lie about it, you automatically rank at the bottom.

17. Jenny McCarthy

Jenny mccarthy

Rule #2: When you don’t believe in vaccinations, you also rank nearly as low as one can.

16. Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Elisabeth hasselbeck

If you share her views on Fox News, you likely disagree with this ranking. Fair enough.

15. Candace Cameron Bure

Candace cameron bure

It’s cool that the actress is a hardcore Christian. But we agree with Raven-Symone’s facial expression here when it comes to some of the stuff she says.

14. Debbie Matenopoulos

Debbie matenopoulos

She lasted just the very first season and was let go due to a lack of “chemistry,” according to Barbara Walters

13. Rosie Perez

We could watch her in White Men Can’t Jump for days on end. But she just wasn’t on The View long enough to leave an impression.

Billy Bush Suspension -- The Show Goes On for "Today" Co-Hosts (VIDEO)

Billy Bush’s co-workers had the awkward duty of explaining his absence to the “Today” audience on day 1 of his suspension for the Donald Trump tape. Bush’s suspension was addressed twice … first by Savannah Guthrie at the top of the show — and…

Dylan Dreyer Pregnant! Today Meteorologist Surprises Co-Hosts With Baby News

This is friggin" adorable.

During a Fishbowl Q&A segment of Today (how else do you fill 5 hours of morning programming?), meteorologist Dylan Dreyer selected a random (we think) question from the giant fishbowl.

After reading the question to herself, Dreyer looked off-camera and said "Really?  You guys need some new jokes."

When the other talent, which included Savannah Guthrie (who announced her second pregnancy earlier this week), Al Roker, Carson Daly and Tamron Hall asked if Dreyer really selected such a spot-on question, she showed them the proof, and then made her big reveal.

"Look it really says, "Are you pregnant?" and yes I am!"

The entire set erupted in cheers, and Guthrie was especially excited to have a preggo co-worker.

"Shut the front door!" Daly said as he threw his script up in the air.

Dreyer and her husband, Brian Fichera already found out the sex of the baby – Dreyer filled balloons with blue confetti to surprise Fichera – so she filled a black balloon for her co-hosts, and had Hall do the honors of popping the balloon.

Said balloon was popped, and blue confetti went everywhere.

The little baby boy will make his arrival this December.

"Brian and I have been married for almost four years," Dreyer, 34, wrote on Today"s site.

"Four wonderful years that included a move to New York City and a new dream-come-true job at the TODAY Show. We weren"t in a rush to have kids and, to be honest, there was a time when we declared we never wanted kids!

"Then one day we both looked at each other and said, "I want a baby!" As usual, we were on the same page and it all just seemed right.

"Now, here I am, writing my first ever blog about a BABY! It was a tiny little secret we kept among a small circle in our family, and I can now scream it from the rooftops: "I"M PREGNANT!!!" And now I can scream, "OH CRAP!!!!"

"I"ve asked people to try to explain to me why having a baby changes your life in a way you could never imagine. No one can put it into words, but when I saw this little guy and watched him dance around and touch his hand to his face, I fell in love instantly. A love I, too, can"t put into words.

"P.S. We didn"t plan the timing of a December baby to get out of winter storm coverage…I swear."

Dreyer joined the Today show in 2012 from NBC affiliate WHDH in Boston, MA.

Watch the video below for Dreyer"s reveal in full.

Tamar Braxton: Was She Fired Because of Tension With Co-Hosts on The Real??

While the specifics on why Tamar Braxton was fired from The Real may never be known, recent comments she made regarding her co-hosts are raising some eyebrows.

During an interview on The Steve Harvey Show, Braxton admits she was blindsided by the news of her firing.

“You know when you love your job, it’s no issues,” she told the host.

“You’re not complaining about much, you’re not fighting with anybody, me and the girls got along, so I thought.”

Many fans took that last comment as a hint that there may have been tension between Braxton and her co-hosts, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love.

Did one or more of them complain about Braxton?

Representatives for The Real deny any conflict between the Dancing With the Stars alum and her co-stars in the following statement:

“Tamar Braxton’s contract was not renewed for reasons that will remain privileged and private, and that are between her and the Studio.”

“However, we would like to make it crystal clear that Ms. Braxton’s departure from the show had nothing to do with her former co-hosts; any suggestion to the contrary unfairly tarnishes them.

“As always, we wish Tamar and Vince [Herbert] all the best.”

Shortly after her dismissal from the show, Braxton took to Instagram to announce that she had been “stabbed in the back” by someone she “stupidly trusted.”

In addition, she unfollowed former co-hosts Bailon, Mai and Love on Twitter, leaving many to suspect something had gone down between the stars.

But despite any hard feelings surrounding her departure, a silver lining emerged when Braxton signed on to star in a new talk show produced by Steve Harvey.

“It’s such a beginning,” Harvey said of Braxton. “She has such a bright future. She is such a star. She has so much to offer.”

Kelly Ripa Guest Co-Hosts: Who is Lined Up?

Possibly the most awkward farewell in television history is just over a week away.

On Friday, May 13, Michael Strahan will appear on Live! as Kelly Ripa’s co-host for the final time.

As has been previously reported, analyzed and dissected, Strahan will then move over to Good Morning America as a full-time anchor.

It was a move originally scheduled for September… until ABC botched the announcement, angered Kelly Ripa, faced a boycott from its host, created tension among co-workers and was then forced to move Strahan’s departure date way up.

So that’s how we got here.

As for where we go from here?

It may take all summer for ABC to settle on a permanent co-host for Ripa, but we now know who will be filling Strahan’s large shoes on a temporary basis, beginning the week after he leaves.

Here is the current schedule of guest hosts:

May 16: Jimmy Kimmel.

May 17: Jussie Smollett.

May 18: Cedric the Entertainer.

May 19: David Muir.

May 20: Daniel Dae Kim.

We have no idea what sort of chemistry Ripa will have with each, of course, but it can’t be any more awkward than what’s been going on between her and Strahan of late.

Earlier this week, Ripa brought up Strahan’s divorce, much to the clear disdain of her partner:

She and Strahan also won a Daytime Emmy and had to pretend in front of a live studio audience that they were all good with each other:

We’ll be sad to see Strahan go, only because we’ve been treated to a trainwreck on television every morning since Ripa returned and gave a speech about “respect in the workplace.”

As for who ought to take his spot in the fall, on a daily basis?

We have some ideas…

Nene Leakes: The View Co-Hosts Are A Bunch of "Mean Girls"

Nene Leakes can hold her own, especially when it comes to a group of opinionated women.

The reality star will join the Broadway cast of Chicago as Mama Morton, and yesterday made an appearance on The View as part of her press tour.

Things didn’t go as swimmingly as one may have hoped, though.

“Just sat down with a bunch of mean girls turning up their noses, looking u up & down as if u don’t belong,” Leakes tweeted (then later deleted before Us Magazine grabbed the quote).

The Tweets and Instagrams that followed were positive, showing no trace of animosity that was clearly visible during her segment.

Things started off fine as Leakes hugged each of the ladies, playfully hitting Joy Behar as she took her seat at the table.

“Stop it!” Behar joked (I think).  “If I got a black a blue mark, I’m gonna sue your ass!”

That right there set the tone of the appearance.

While Leakes talked about leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta, as well as her new six-bedroom home, Behar sat there with a look on her face that said, “I’m over this.”

The other women, including Candace Cameron-Bure, did their best to keep the interview moving, but the tension between Leakes and Behar was palpable.

When Leakes showed photos her Atlanta home, the ladies wanted to know where the eff all the furniture was.

“Where’s the furniture, Nene!” Whoopi Goldberg asked

“I didn’t want to show you guys pictures of my furniture,” Leakes said, citing security reasons.

Behar pressed on about why showing furniture would pose a security risk, then gave up because it was a losing battle.

Watch the clip below to soak up the tension.

The View Co-Hosts Apologize For Mocking Miss America Nurse Monologue — See The Backlash & Their Apology HERE!

Well that took no time at all!

It’s been just about a week since The View returned to TV with a mostly new panel of co-hosts including Michelle Collins, Joy Behar, Raven Symoné, Whoopi Goldberg, and Paula Faris.

In that week they’ve already managed to offend people with some of their commentary about one of the contestants in the Miss America pageant being a nurse — to which they’ve already apologized (below)!

Video: Donald Trump Faces Off Against Whoopi Goldberg On The View!

During the talent the portion of the contest, Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson, performed a monologue which talked quite a bit about her profession as a nurse.

Yesterday Collins apparently felt the need to express her opinion about the monologue as well as question why she was wearing a stethoscope during the segment. She shared:

“The talent, though, I have to say, the woman who won sang opera, and she was incredible. Really good. But then there was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like ‘Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let’s listen’. She came out in a nurse’s uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly did not win.”

Behar chimed with disbelief as Collins replied:

“I swear to God it was hilarious.”

Behar then inquired as to why Johnson was even wearing a stethoscope as a nurse to which Collins said:

“She helps patients with Alzheimer’s, which I know is not funny, but I swear you had to see it.”

Quite a few people were offended by her comments and took to Twitter (below) to point out that stethoscopes aren’t just for doctors — nurses quite often have to use them too!

A lot of the backlash came from women who were nurses:

Well today, the ladies took a moment out of their show to apologize for their previous statements and express how much they love nurses (below):

What do you think? Did the ladies on The View deserve the backlash — and do you accept their apology??

The View Co-Hosts Mock Miss America Nurse Monologue

Multiple co-hosts on The View showed their ignorance and their idiocy on Tuesday by making fun of Kelly Johnson during a particularly unfunny segment.

Johnson represented Colorado at this year’s Miss America Pageant.

Instead of showing off a talent such as singing, dancing or juggling, however, Johnson appeared on stage in her nurse’s uniform and talked about the challenges and the rewards of her profession.

You can watch her speech above.

Pretty cool, right? Nice and different and inspiring?

Not according to The View.

“There was a girl who wrote her own monologue and I was like ‘Turn the volume up, this is going be amazing, let’s listen,’” said Michelle Collins.

“She came out in a nurse’s uniform and basically read her emails out loud and shockingly did not win.”

Collins went on to say it was “hilarious.”

Joy Behar then inquired as to why Johnson had a “doctor’s stethoscope on,” a remark that drew ire and consternation on Twitter.

For the record, nurses around the world nearly all wear and use stethoscopes on a daily basis. They always have.

In the end, Betty Cantrell was crowned Miss America 2016, partly due to her opera singing.

She gave an impressive performance and all… but why The View panelists chose to focus on a nurse’s inspiring speech, as opposed to the mere fact that beauty pageants (with evening gown and swimsuit competitions) still exist is rather depressing.
