Dwyane Wade Mourns "Senseless" Death of Cousin, Calls for End to Gun Violence

Dwyane Wade is in mourning.

The NBA superstar lost one of his cousins on Friday when she became a victim of crossfire on the sidewalk in Chicago.

According to CNN and other outlets, Nykea Aldridge died while pushing a stroller down a South Side street when a multitude of men started shooting at each other.

She was simply an innocent bystander.

Tweeted Wade in response to the tragedy:

“My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal. #EnoughIsEnough.”

CNN has reported that one of the bullets struck Aldridge in the head, while another hit her in an arm.

She died approximately 45 minutes after the shooting at a nearby hospital.

Aldridge’s aunt told an ABC affiliated that she was on her way to an elementary school when she was gunned down. 

Two suspects are reportedly in custody.

Wade’s mother, Jolinda Wade, spoke on behalf of the family last night while holding her inconsolable sister close outside the emergency room where Aldridge was pronounced deceased.

“Just sat up on a panel yesterday, The Undefeated, talking about the violence that’s going on within our city of Chicago, never knowing that the next day we would be the ones that would be actually living and experiencing it,” Jolinda Wade said.

“We’re still going to try and help these people to transform their minds and give them a different direction, so this thing won’t keep happening.

“We’re still going to help empower people like the one who senselessly shot my niece in the head.”

Chicago has been hit especially hard by violence this year. More than 2,600 people have been shot in the city, mainly on the South and West sides.

In July, Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and LeBron James opened the ESPYs by standing on stage and addressing this exact topic in front of a national audience.

They were responding at the time to the Black Lives Matter movement and the rash of African-American deaths at the hands of police officers.

They were also responding to the misguided responses of those who attached members of law enforcement in response to these incidents.

“The endless gun violence in places like Chicago, Dallas, not to mention Orlando, it has to stop. Enough. Enough is enough,” Waed said on stage.

This is not the first time Wade’s family has been touched by gun violence, either.

His nephew, Darin Johnson, was shot twice in the leg in 2012 but recovered.

Reports that Jessa Duggar is pregnant with her second child are dominating today’s Duggar news and providing some much-needed publicity for the second season of Counting On which happens to not-so-coincidentally premiere tonight.

But while the expansion of the Seewald clan will no doubt receive plenty of screentime, the show will reportedly focus primarily on the courtship between Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo.

Yes, Jinger and Jeremy are engaged and Counting On cameras were reportedly on hand to capture the early days of the couple’s relationship.

(They’ve only been dating for a few months, so in a way, we guess it’s still the early days.)

There’s no word yet on whether or not the JinJer wedding will be televised, but Vuolo was recently on hand for another couple’s nuptials, and you can bet the events of that night will definitely not be featured on a Duggar-approved show.

In fact, you can be sure Jinger’s parents are doing some serious cringing today:

The Duggar Family News Facebook page recently posted the above photo along with a caption reading:

“Jeremy doing the garter tradition to his cousin. I’m pretty sure we won’t see this at his wedding.”

Yes, the leg that Jeremy is getting so up close and personal with belongs to his cousin.

Now, to be fair, the garter thing is sort of like the bouquet toss for the single men at a wedding.

It’s not uncommon, but it’s a little weird in this case for a few reasons:

For starters, let us repeat that that’s Jeremy’s cousin.

That’s weird on its own, but considering he’s soon to marry into a family was recently involved in an incestuous sex scandal, you would think he’d just take a pass.

Speaking of Jeremy joining the Duggar clan, the family is so chaste that they don’t even allow engaged couples to kiss before the wedding.

Considering they don’t even allow their daughters to expose their ankles in public, we imagine that Jim Bob and Michelle aren’t too cool with the garter tradition.

Jeremy Jordan: Save My Gay Cousin!

Jeremy Jordan stars on Supergirl.

But the actor isn’t turning to any sort of fictional small screen hero for help with an issue very close to his heart at the moment.

He’s turning to YOU.

To all of us, really.

Jordan, who enjoyed a starring turn on Broadway before making his move to television, addressed his Facebook followers in a surprising post last week that explained the sad circumstances surrounding his “sweet gay cousin Sarah.”

In the message, Jordan said she’s “trapped against her will at a terrible facility in Texas,” sharing with his fans a link to a GoFundMe page called “Save Sarah.”

According to the GoFundMe account (created by Jordan’s brother) Sarah is a 17-year-old high school student.

She is supposedly being held at an East Texas Christian boarding facility for troubled teens to “pray away the gay.”

Tragically, places such as this really do exists around the country.

The website goes on detail how Sarah is not permitted any type of communication with the outside world… she cannot welcome visitors or leave the property for any reason.

Jordan’s family has hired a lawyer named Christine Andresen to help get Sarah released from this awful place.

“Any money collected will go first toward paying Christine’s legal fees and our portion of the amicus attorney fess, which thus far have totaled approximately $ 20,000,” the page reads, adding that this litigation is taking place in a Texas State court in a county outside of Austin.

The attorney has “represented LGBT clients in a variety of family law issues that arise from LGBT and queer relationships in Texas,” according to her firm’s website. 

“I can’t believe beautiful, smart, incredible kids like my cousin Sarah are still being told that being gay is wrong,” Jordan wrote on Facebook.

“She may not be able to see it now, but please show her how much she matters and take a stand to help us free this wonderful young woman and welcome her back to a world of love and acceptance.”

Sarah has reportedly tried to run away from the facility in the past, only to be apprehended by employees.

Texas law permits parents to force their kids to say in this type of residential boarding house until they turn 18 years old.

Kristin Douglas: Beyonce"s "Cousin" Becomes Insta-Famous For Kardashian-Like Curves

Kristin Douglas is a nurse and mother of two who rocketed to Internet fame over night in about the same way as Kim Kardashian.

No, she didn’t make a sex tape with Ray J, but she does know a few famous folks, and she’s blessed in the booty department.

That’s Kristin on the right, posing with an up-and-coming singer named Beyonce at a funeral for man named Skip.

Skip’s passing was quickly overshadowed, as Instagram went insane at the sight of Kristin’s ass, and a rumor that she’s Bey’s cousin has spread like wildfire.

Douglas spoke with TMZ and answered a few important questions about the pic that’s gained her an astonishing 70,000 Instagram followers in just 48 hours.

For one thing, she’s not Beyonce’s cousin. In fact, they’re not even related.

The man they were mourning was the godfather of Kristin and her sister Kelsi (on the left) and Beyonce’s uncle.

But who cares about details when there’s gigantic butt involved, right?

Anyway, Beyonce’s cousin or not Beyonce’s cousin, Kristen is already getting attention from unnamed famous rappers who have been sliding into her DMs, as well as from clubs who want her to do appearances.

Hey, we live in a world where Amber Rose compares herself and Kim Kardashian to Beyonce, even though those first two are basically just famous for having giant asses. 

We don’t begrudge Kristin her 15 minutes of bootylicious fame, especially since it seems like she could care less about being famous.

Gay Duggar Cousin: REVEALED!

The world’s biggest hypocrites have have a gay cousin.  Can you imagine? The poster family for birth control, who oppose gay marriage and work with the Family council to uphold “traditional” values are related to a homosexual.

“The Duggars definitely have a gay cousin in their family who has been hiding in the closet,” a source told The Real Mr. Housewife.

“He is not a blood relative,” said source explained, “but was adopted by his parents, who are cousins with the Duggars.” 

The cousin has mingled with the 19 Kids and Counting stars in the past.  

“He has been in attendance at Duggar family events, such as Jessa’s wedding, and been photographed with Michelle before.”

Cousin Duggar is a bit of a wild child, which is hilarious.

He loves to “wildly party,” which goes against the Duggar’s beliefs in a good time not involving anything other than a piano and quilt-making.

“He is not innocent and is scandalous himself. He broke up a long standing relationship between my friend and his boyfriend, who were set to marry.

Cousin Duggar allegedly swooped in “and stole his boyfriend from him. It was really disgusting.”

It sounds like the relation hasn’t yet revealed his sexuality to the reality stars.

“While the Duggars likely will be shocked to hear this and won’t be happy that this cat’s out of the bag,” the source added.

“It’s just more evidence of the hypocrisy that s surrounds them and their family.”

Anna Duggar is "Strong," Says Cousin Amy

Last week, Amy King (nee Duggar), Instagram’d a selfie with Anna Duggar at a fundraiser for Loving Choices, a Christian pregnancy center that offers support to young women with unplanned pregnancies and STDs.

“Any negative comments will be deleted, just try me. She’s beautiful!” Amy wrote.

Despite speaking out against her cousin, Josh Duggar‘s indiscretions (“we’re still in shock and furious to the extreme,” the newlywed told People Magazine in September),  Amy is showing support for Josh’s wife and their children.

“I think the picture I posted shows how strong Anna truly is, she’s smiling, and has a lot of love around her,” Amy told Entertainment Tonight.  “She was talking to people at the event, having so much fun. And she looked so pretty.”

Amy said she and Anna attend the fundraiser annually, and this year was no exception.

“We love babies and just love this event,” Amy said.  “Aunt Michelle was there, Jessa and Ben were there, my mom, Dillon, a lot of the family was there. The event raised over $ 300,000.”

Josh is currently seeking treatment at a faith-based rehab for child molestation, an addiction to porn and having an active account with extramarital affair site, Ashley Madison.
