90 Day Fiance: Molly Hopkins & Luis Mendez Are Divorcing
90 Day Fiance couple sometimes get their happily ever after. Since Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez beat the odds and got married, it looked like they were home free.
Unfortunately, as we mentioned, Molly and Luis separated a few days after New Year’s Day.
Now, it’s official — Molly has filed for divorce from Luis.
At first, it was a classic boy-meets-girl story.
Almost.
In this case, the “boy” was 26 years old and working in a bar in Santo Domingo.
The “girl” was much older than he and from Georgia in the US.
They met when she was on a trip to the Dominican Republic and they fell for each other.
And they decided to broadcast their story on 90 Day Fiance.
Aside from criticisms over being perceived to be using each other — Molly wanting Luis as a “boy toy” and Luis wanting US citizenship and perhaps Molly’s financial stability — they had other concerns.
The biggest was Molly hoping that Luis would be a good stepfather to her two daughters.
There was also Molly’s shady criminal history. Suffice it to say that her driving records are a little scary.
But apparently they found a way past all of that.
In July of 2017, Molly and Luis got married.
They made it! … Sort of.
Marriages, as we know, aren’t always a guaranteed happily ever after. Far from it, honestly.
Molly and Luis had some sort of spat and parted ways before the 90 Day Fiance Tell All Special … but they reconciled before the special itself aired.
That was not to last forever, though.
On January 5th, the couple separated.
Some fans who learned of the split hoped that they would reconcile. But that was not to be.
Now, Reality Blurb reports that Molly Hopkins filed for divorce from Luis Mendez on January 23rd.
The papers were filed in Georgia, of course. Molly used her married name, Molly Mondez, when doing the filing.
Like most divorces, she cited irreconcilable differences, writing:
“Plaintiff is entitled to a divorce from Defendant in the statutory grounds that the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
The 42-year-old is keeping their finances separate and hopes that Luis doesn’t make any moves to dispose of any shared marital property that they might possess.
A sad ending to a story that many had hoped would end with a new, happy family.
Luis doesn’t seem to be too broken up about the divorce — he’s nonchalantly posting topless selfies on Instagram and promising fans that he’d be happy to meet them after the divorce is finalized.
He did, however, rant and rave about TLC because he claims that he wasn’t paid for his time on 90 Day Fiance.
It’s been speculated that non-American stars on the show may have to wait to be paid until they have their work visas, for legal reasons.
But Luis declared his threat to sue over it, saying that foreigners were simply used for free labor and discarded like trash. Yikes.
It’s probably safe to say that Luis has some regrets.

90 Day Fiance Star David Toborowsky: My Son Was Shot in the Face
90 Day Fiance star David Toborowsky married Annie, even though she’s twice his age and his … well, he didn’t exactly win over a lot of viewers.
But while David is dismissed as a “deadbeat” by his daughter, it looks like he has a better relationship with his son, Jacob, who is 18 years old.
Jacob Toborowsky is currently recovering from a gunshot wound to the face, and David is thanking fans for their prayers as his son struggles with recovery and complications.
Guns are scary, folks.
David took to Facebook a few weeks ago to share the unfortunate news with his followers:
“On behalf of my family we wanted to thank each and everyone of you for the thoughts and prayers that have been sent and said for Jacob Toborowsky.”
Jacob is, of course, his son. He spelled out his name so awkwardly so that he could tag him in it.
The shooting, which is said to have been accidental but is nonetheless serious, took place on January 28th.
“He was shot in the face by a so called friend in a senseless stupid act. We will continue to monitor the situation on a legal front to ensure that justice prevails.”
We have an update on that, as well.
His son is alive, but undergoing medical treatment. Because he was shot. In the face.
“Jacob went to Texas today to continue his recovery and possible surgeries. I will update as I can.”
He thanks everyone for their support, prayers, and well wishes.
“Again, we thank you from the bottom of our heart for the prayers and ask for continued prayers as he has a long road ahead of him.”
And, of course, there are updates.
“I wanted to give an update on my son Jacob,” David writes in a separate post.
“He had surgery yesterday down in Houston. The damage to the muscles in his face are more severe than 1st thought.”
Complications can be absolutely brutal.
“The main part of the bullet was removed.”
This was not a Dick Cheney situation — the gunshot came from a handgun.
“Please keep him in your prayers as the road he has is going to be long and hard. Thank you all again for the prayers, messages and thoughts.”
And, in case anyone was worried about the photos of Jacob that David posted, David went ahead and posted a disclaimer.
“I am posting these pics with his permission.”
Jacob’s mother, David’s ex, has also spoken up:
“He has to have surgery tomorrow to have a drain put in.”
A very necessary drain.
“He is accumulating fluid in the wound from the gland that was impacted from the bullet.”
And until the fluid build-up can be addressed, Jacob won’t be able to recover.
“His wound cannot heal with all the drainage.”
But his recovery will take more than healing some tissue, unfortunately.
“Then OT and speech therapy will begin as well. He will have to put bite blocks in his mouth to start trying to get it open.”
OT means occupational therapy. There’s much more to recovery than waiting for the swelling to go down, folks.
“I think I am still in shock from all of this.”
Speaking to RadarOnline, David Toborowsky gives further details on Jacob’s condition.
“Jacob had his surgery on Thursday to remove the bullet.”
That, of course, is only a small piece of the surgical puzzle.
“A significant amount of tissue was damaged. He will never be able to fully open his mouth all the way.”
Heartbreaking.
“A lot of scar tissue had to be cleaned to remove the bullet. There is a lot of deep-tissue scarring.”
He shares what his ex had also revealed.
“He’s going back into surgery on Tuesday. They need to put a drain in for the gland to heal. He was in a lot of pain this weekend. It’s worse than we thought.”
David has also shared what’s happening in Kentucky, on the legal end of things.
“The Commonwealth of Kentucky charged the other kid with 1st degree assault and will go before the grand jury next month.”
Accidental or not, a teenager should know better than to, you know, shoot their friend in the face.
It’s easy — the vast majority of people spend their entire teen years not shooting people.
Real actions should have real consequences, right? Jacob is certainly facing consequences for the gunshot.
And Jacob will have to live with the aftermath for the rest of his life.

90 Day Fiance Spoilers: Who"s Returning in 2018?
It’s a brand new year, and that means brand new seasons of 90 Day Fiance and its various spin-offs.
But which couples will be returning to film? Which fan-favorite couples will be saying farewell to the cameras — or each other — in 2018?
To our delight, TLC has announced that they’re bringing back not only 90 Day Fiance, but all three spin-off series.
That means that viewers will be getting:
–90 Day Fiance
–90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?
–90 Day Fiance: What Now?
–90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days
It’s a coup for fans of the franchise. It also means that some folks’ DVRs are going to be overflowing. That’s life.
But … which couples will be returning?
Let’s start with a couple that seems very, very unlikely to reprise their roles on 90 Day Fiance.
Luis and Molly.
Luis is Dominican, Molly is from the US. Molly is a bit older and Luis and has a spotty driving record, and was nervous to see how the much-younger Luis would do as a potential stepfather for her daughters.
They did get married. However … we don’t even need to wait for cameras to know if they lived happily ever after.
Right at the beginning of the year, they broke up. Molly is divorcing him, and Luis has threatened to sue TLC after claiming that they refuse to pay “trash” immigrants (how he believes that the network views non-Americans).
Paul and Karine are a couple that has the interest of a lot of viewers.
Karine is younger, Paul has a shady past (he’s violated a protective order and been convicted of arson; he’ll be on probation until 2020).
Also, there was that time that Paul put a protective “sheath” on his penis that totally wasn’t a condom before swimming in the water, because he’s apparently that terrified of a candiru asu lodging itself in his urethra.
Good news for fans who are invested in this awkward couple — Starcasm reports that Paul and Karine will almost certainly appear more.
The only question is which show. Will Karine begin her K-1 visa process at last?
Moving on:
As we previously told you, Josh and Aika got married.
It looks like these two didn’t hook the right interest level for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Not everyone does, and that’s okay.
Josh shared some pretty clear evidence that he and Aika are filming for 90 Day Fiance: What Now?
Nicole and Azan seemed on the rocks as Azan ghosted Nicole during the Tell All special.
Things seem to be okay-ish between Nicole and Azan, but the two aren’t yet married.
Will they do yet another trip to Morocco? As Starcasm has observed, that would only be worthwhile if it’s for a Moroccan wedding.
Nicole does seem to be filming more, but we don’t know the details behind that.
Now, for another couple:
Starcasm‘s sources say that Cortney and Antonio have continued to film.
That’s a little surprising, since the tension between the two of them has not been the most positive.
Remember when Cortney arrived in Spain and promptly followed Antonio to … sit separately from him from a couple of hours while he ogled attractive women? Yeah. That sort of set the tone for their relationship.
So it may bet hat Cortney and Antonio are filming separately.
Jesse and Darcey are one of 90 Day Fiance‘s most captivating couples, and they’re yet another pairing of an older American woman with a young, ludicrously handsome foreign man.
(Let’s just say that this dynamic really appeals to part of 90 Day Fiance‘s demographic)
Now, Jesse and Darcey are not married just yet. But thanks to their appeal as a couple and their dramatic squabbles on social media, they’re a powerful draw for audiences.
They seem to still be filming, but it’s not clear for which series.
Then there’s Elizabeth and Andrei.
You might remember Andrei as the somewhat scary alpha male dude with “traditional” views on “a woman’s place.”
Elizabeth Potthast posted a now-deleted photo of a cameraman, so it seems that these two are filming.
This past season’s primary villain was Evelyn, no question. She managed to get under everyone’s skin in the worst way.
Except for David, we suppose. But since David and Evelyn may have started flirting when Evelyn was only 15, he has a lot invested in this creepy relationship.
Evelyn is trying to launch a music career, so her thirst for fame may take priority over the animosity that the audience feels towards her.
Then there’s David and Annie; Starcasm confirms that they will be on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?
David’s storyline, involving his son’s shooting accident, will likely have a compelling part to play.
Finally, some oldies but goodies.
Anfisa and Jorge may or may not still be together, but there are indications that the polarizing couple will make a return.
If so, that would explain why Anfisa seems so reluctant to confirm or deny their relationship, and instead teases followers with vague statements.
And while there’s no sign of Mohamed Jbali filming with any camera that he’s not holding in his hand — remember, he’s working in Dallas, Texas these days — apparently Danielle Mullins is filming.
If you’ll recall, Danielle Mullins is not getting a makeover show after she was accused of unstable behavior.
Whatever alleged personality issues she may have, apparently TLC has no problem continuing to work with her.
It would be a pleasant surprise to see Mohamed, as the two are much more interesting when their storylines align. That may take place in the form of their court battle with each other.
So far, no word on Paola Mayfield and Russ, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

90 Day Fiance: Luis Lashes Out, Threatens to Sue TLC!
Oh, boy.
This past season of 90 Day Fiance had its ups and downs for all of the relationships, but one of the new 90 Day Fiance stars is so unhappy that he’s publicly ranting against TLC and the show’s producers.
And he’s also announced his intention to sue.
Molly Hopkins is 41 years old. She’s an American — specifically from Georgia.
26-year-old Luis Mendez is Dominican.
He and Molly met and fell for each other outside of the US, when she was on a trip and when he was working in a bar.
The two of them decided to not only pursue their relationship, but to go on 90 Day Fiance so that the rest of the world could watch the highs and lows of their relationship.
Oh, and so that they could make a little cash.
And one of the big concerns that Molly had was seeing how good of a stepfather the more-than-slightly younger Luis would be to her daughters, one of whom is 7 and the other of whom is 16.
In addition to the all-important test of whether or not Luis would fit in with Molly’s family …
(After all, your kids should always take precedence over your romantic pursuits)
… The couple had a few hurdles to cross. Molly Hopkins has a shady criminal history that mostly involves what we’ll delicately describe as reasons why you don’t want to ride in a car with her.
Also, Luis would have to get along well with more than just Molly’s family. His romance with Molly needed to click when they were living together.
(Sometimes, what’s sexy and romantic on vacation turns into an annoyance back at home, in the real world)
Finally, some wondered if the younger man who had tended bar in Santo Domingo was really interested in Molly Hopkins for romantic reasons … or if he was using her, hoping to land legal residence in the United States.
As we already told you, Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez did get married.
But married isn’t the same thing as happily ever after, folks.
See, after the couple got married — which they apparently did without informing TLC of the event, which kind of defeats the purpose of appearing on the show in the first place — things went south.
The two separated, only reconcile before the Tell All special was filmed.
But then the husband and wife seemed to have trouble again.
At the beginning of January, Molly told Luis that she was filing for divorce.
That is part of what has led to Luis Mendez’s dissatisfaction, we assume.
But that’s not the focus of his rant, which he posted to social media:
“TLC is a piece of s–t.”
Wow, tell us how you really feel.
“They only use the immigrant people for make million dollar, they don’t pay to us in the first 90 days and they destroy our lives with bad fame.”
That’s quite an accusation.
“But I don’t receive any money, only the American people bc we are trash for them.”
He added another message with similar points … and expressed a strong desire to take legal action.
“Immigrant people only are trash for TLC. I want to meet a lawyer in NYC to sue those bastards.”
Now, it seems that he’s complaining about money. 90 Day Fiance stars are paid for their work, but in comparison to other reality salaries, it’s not all that much.
We should point out that, although countless companies employ immigrant labor and pay them less than they deserve, that isn’t necessarily what’s behind this.
You need a work visa in order to work in the US if you are not an American citizen. It’s possible that they aren’t legally permitted to pay Luis until he gets one.
Now, if there’s been anything improper in terms of paying him, maybe Luis can get that money through a lawsuit. But our guess is that Luis just needs to have a work visa.
It sounds like he’s complaining about his portrayal on the series. That … well, he presumably signed a contract saying that he can be edited in any way that the show sees fit. Tough luck.

Offset: Is Cardi B"s Fiance Avoiding a Paternity Test? What"s He Hiding?
Celina Powell is the latest woman to claim that Offset, Cardi B’s fiance, is her baby daddy.
Cardi B and Offset both say that the woman is lying … but now we have to wonder if Offset, at least, is afraid that she’s telling the truth.
Because, to hear Celina tell it, Offset is ducking and dodging her attempts at a paternity test. If he’s not the baby daddy, why not go ahead and prove it?
Cardi B and Offset made a “sex tape” — after a fashion — and released it to the public. They’re engaged.
it’s safe to say that they have a pretty good relationship, right? But they’re facing their first real test, as a woman is claiming that Offset is the father of her baby girl.
Celina Powell doesn’t seem like she’s willing to back down, either.
After Offset sent her a cease & desist, she publicly called him out.
So it looks like she intends to hound him until he can prove in court that he’s not the father of her child.
We should mention that there’s a credibility issue.
Despite being only 22, Celina Powell has identified famous “baby daddies” in the past who turned out to not be the fathers of her children.
She acknowledged her dubious history when she shared with the world her claim that Offset is this child’s father … while assuring her fans that she’s not crying wolf this time, she promises.
Honestly, Celina’s background makes you wonder if she’s a terrible schemer — like, if she watched fake paternity scams on soap operas and wondered if they were that easy in real life.
Or if she might have other issues. Anybody else remember that girl who’s not pregnant who went on Dr. Phil claiming that she is pregnant with God’s child? Claiming random rappers as your baby daddy isn’t much more grounded than that.
But … if Offset is just another falsely accused man, then why has he allegedly balked at taking a DNA test?
At least, that’s what Celina has claimed that he’s done, after responding to a tweet inquiring about a paternity test.
“No her father didn’t accept the dna papers.”
But that doesn’t mean that she’s given up.
“But lawyers will do their job and he will take it…one day”
So … you’d think that Offset would be the one insisting on a paternity test.
Even if he didn’t want to bring one up — maybe putting on a show of absolute confidence that it’s not his for Cardi B — you’d think that he’d go along with a request, right?
Unless he’s worried about what the results might be.
That said … we have to acknowledge that we don’t know, for sure, whether or not any “DNA papers,” as Celina calls them, were actually sent to him and then rejected.
It’s a weird situation, folks.
We know that Cardi B and Offset are making a show of not believing Celina Powell’s claims about her daughter, Karma, being Offset’s.
But what if she is?
If so — and that’s admittedly a big if — what does that mean for Offset and Cardi B?
Would that make Celina just another baby mama receiving support, or might it spell doom for Cardi B and Offset’s million dollar wedding?
We’ll all have to wait before we know more. Offset included.

90 Day Fiance: Azan Ghosted Nicole; Have They Split?!
So, remember how it looked like Nicole had cheated on Azan again, slipping off her engagement ring to hang with a guy friend … and also lying about it?
At the time, Azan seemed to forgive her. But … suddenly, things looked bleak for the two.
Azan didn’t appear on the reunion special or even answer the phone when Nicole called him on the air. Are they over, officially?
Of all of the new 90 Day Fiance couples introduced this past season, Nicole and Azan were the least new.
In that they were not new at all, and had also been stars on Season 4.
This season, they had some of the same problems — worries about Nicole’s possible infidelities, concerns that Azan’s interview for his K-1 Visa won’t go well, and wondering if Azan could be the father that Nicole’s young daughter deserves.
(This time, in fact, Nicole brought her daughter to Morocco to see how the two bonded)
Throughout all of this, Nicole has also worked to convince her father that Azan is a worthy partner for her.
There’s been a lot on this couple’s plate, even before the revelation about Nicole’s dishonesty.
As we said, Azan said that he forgave her at the time for taking off her ring to spend time with a guy friend.
We don’t know why she had to remove her ring to hang out with him (even if she were looking to cheat … she’s literally on a TV show with the guy she wants to marry; it’s not a secret).
We don’t know why, if nothing happened, she felt the need to lie about it.
Regardless, though, Azan let it slide. He also got past her previous infidelity (to be fair, it was before she went to Morocco to meet him in the first place).
Or … did those instances weigh on him more than he initially let on?
During the 90 Day Fiance Tell All special, Nicole was accompanied by her mother but not by Azan.
You figure, okay … he hasn’t had his K-1 visa interview yet, so he’s still in Morocco and can’t come to the taping.
But you don’t need a visa to pick up a phone, now do you?
Azan basically ghosted Nicole through the Tell All, though TLC did tweet afterwards:
“Azan ended up calling Nicole back after filming concluded! #90DayFiance“
Even so, it seemed to many fans that Azan was just trying to avoid getting interviewed on the special.
(Because, seriously, how do you just “forget” that the special’s happening? You’d stay up to any hour to do your part … unless you don’t want to share some bad news)
However, it looks like Azan and Nicole are still together.
We don’t know for sure, but the two have been gushing about each other on social media as recently as November.
Though a lot can change in the space of one month, our guess is that we’ll be seeing Nicole and Azan together in the US in season 6.
Assuming, of course, that Azan was able to secure his K-1 visa.
It might be odd for one couple to get three consecutive seasons of 90 Day Fiance, but hey, a lot was uncertain. Plus, they want to get paid (Nicole works at Starbucks and, even as little as 90 Day Fiance stars get paid, every little bit helps) and they have an interesting story.
That’s why 90 Day Fiance; Before the 90 Days and 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? now exist.
If all goes well, they’ll get married at the end of their 90 days (and the end of season 6), then move on to 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?
But … let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Azan has to come to the US and they’ll need to tie the knot before any of that happens.

90 Day Fiance: David"s Daughter Exposes Him as a Selfish Deadbeat!
So, a while back, we were able to reveal how much 90 Day Fiance stars are paid after some people who were not under contract but appeared on the series decided to reveal what they’d experienced.
Those were friends of David and David’s fiancee, Annie.
Well, after appearing on 90 Day Fiance herself, David’s adult daughter is not mincing words when she describes what sort of man her father is. And … she’s not exactly singing his praises, folks.
So, David Toborowsky’s from the US. Annie Suwan’s half his age, and from Thailand.
Annie hales from an impoverished community (not all of Thailand, folks, just her hometown) and is looking for a guy who can and will take care of her.
David’s daughter, Ashley, who’s 28 (remember, he’s twice Annie’s age) appeared on 90 Day Fiance, and she did not exactly gush about her father.
In fact, she straight-up told Annie that the guy’d been a cheater and deadbeat dad.
And now Ashley Toborowsky gave an interview to Auntie’s Advice, and she explained exactly where she’s coming from in terms of her father.
“He might say he wants to be back with his kids but that’s not the truth.”
Meaning that her appearance on 90 Day Fiance was more of a stunt to make him seem less selfish.
“He’s been a very selfish person his whole life.”
Some people are like that.
“Yes, he loves his children, but does he want to be responsible for people?”
Love is good, but being a parent is a lot of responsibility. If you just want to love kids with zero responsibility, be an aunt or uncle and visit them from time to time.
“No, he doesn’t want to be responsible for people.”
Interesting, since Annie is counting on him to be her provider.
“He wants to do what David wants to do.”
Now, plenty of people feel that way. And that’s fine.
What’s not fine is feeling that way, having kids anyway, and continuing to care only about your own desires and to generally put your wishes first.
Ashley did have some very positive things to say about her dad’s best friend, Chris.
Now, as you may recall, Chris and his wife, Nikki, have been very generous to David and even appeared on 90 Day Fiance, without getting paid, in order to support their friend.
It was after a shocking episode aired that Chris and Nikki took to social media to reveal what they’d experienced.
See, during the episode, Chris had asked Annie for a massage to repay him for allowing her and David to stay with them.
That’s super gross. Like, even before all of the stuff that we’ve heard about Weinstein and so many others, we all recognized that this was not an appropriate request.
(Asian women in particular have been fetishized, often portrayed as sex workers — particularly in the context of massage parlors. Which made the request extra gross)
Well, Chris and Nikki — who were not under contract to keep quiet — revealed that the producers had asked Chris to say that, in order to stir up drama with viewers.
Ugh.
Technically, that’s better than if Chris had come up with the creepy suggestion himself, but it’s pretty disheartening.
We bring up Chris because, well, Ashley herself does.
She had a lot to say about her dad, but she seemed to have just as much to say about her dad’s best friend and his wife.
“They’re nice people. I know that Chris has definitely helped my dad a lot.”
Like, a whole lot.
“Chris has definitely opened up his heart and his arms to Dad. Like I said they’ve been best friends.”
Chris and Nikki have gone above and beyond for David, it sounds like. But they go way back.
“He watched my Dad go through the divorce with my Mom. Nikki, I don’t really know much about her. I’ve only seen her on the show and that was it.”
Ashley was close to her father when she was younger, but they grew apart as, she says, she saw him for who he really was.
Ashley spoke about her father’s fiancee, Annie:
“She’s nice. You know she doesn’t speak to us really. She’s dad’s wife, girlfriend, fiancee. Whatever you want to call her.”
That sounds like an accidental slip-up — it was reported a while back that David and Annie ultimately did end up getting married.
Ashley does not mince words when she describes her father — she says that what you see of David on 90 Day Fiance is what you get.
“An a–hole? Yeah. Authentically? Yeah. He can’t fake that one. Everyone can see exactly what that is. That wasn’t scripted. That’s dad.”
That’s sad.
“I may come off as harsh on the show to my dad. Some people might see me as disrespectful and that’s okay. I’ve had a very crazy relationship with my dad.”
It sure sounds like it.

90 Day Fiance: Did Darcey Silva and Jesse Meester Get MARRIED Already?!
We’ve had to wonder more than once if 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days stars Darcey Silva and Jesse Meester had split. Back in October, the two seemed to get into a very public argument — on social media — like a pair of hormonal middle schoolers.
But they’re now singing a very different tune — and each other’s praises.
More significantly, they’ve taken to referring to each other as “Mr. and Mrs. Meester.” Have they gotten married?
Normally, 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days could be called “Seriously Dating” or perhaps “Unlimited Engagement.”
Because it’s filmed outside of the US, before the non-American partner travels to the US to begin their K-1 visa process.
Because, at the end of those 90 days, you have to either get married or leave, folks.
Darcey, who is 42 and also a mother, has been visiting 24-year-old Jesse Meester in Amsterdam.
Though the couple has given us cause to wonder more than once if they’re still together, they seem determined to make it work.
Even though, well, Darcey seems to get jealous of her hottie fiance and Jesse once publicly accused Darcey of alcoholism.
But 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days stars who stay together are usually supposed to move forward and be on 90 Day Fiance, only then do they get married.
But recent posts have had fans wondering if the couple skipped a step and went ahead and tied the knot.
The above photo was captioned:
“After the Mr. & Mrs. Meester photoshoot in Amsterdam at the palace.”
And then there’s this:
Early Thursday morning, Darcey Silva posted this photo of the couple in white.
Her caption was … interesting:
“We [red heart emoji] you TLC! Thanks for today!”
The numerous tags to that vague message included #lovewins, which had a lot of people wondering if they’d officially tied the knot.
It would make sense, if TLC recorded their wedding. But it would make sense if TLC did just about anything for them.
Also, Jesse and Darcey are notorious for their excessive tagging of photos.
(Honestly, even though they’ve had their very public tiffs, these two seem perfect for each other in the hungry-for-fame department)
But even if today’s photo can be explained away … what about the Mr. and Mrs. Meester stuff?
Just look at the photo that Darcey shared:

So, naturally, fans had to wonder if the couple had married.
Darcey tried to head off the speculation that she herself was fueling … by adding this caption:
“My Love… my Meester…not married… but did a fun photoshoot Emulating the movie poster like Mr and Mrs Smith style.”
First of all, that’s a weird photoshoot to do for a couple that isn’t married, right?
Second of all, Mr and Mrs Smith stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s whirlwind romance and then marriage ended with one of them being interrogated by the FBI for alleged child-abuse.
Not super romantic. Not like it would have been in, like, 2015.
Jesse Meester openly acknowledged that the couple’s excitement about the photoshoot was a little confusing.
Replying to a fan who, understandably, asked if they’d married, Jesse wrote:
“We did a photoshoot in the style of Mr. & Mrs. Smith so I get the mindf–k but we’re not married yet.”
He followed that message with a winking emoji.
Uh-oh, we hope that Darcey doesn’t get jealous of that wink and throw another fit!

90 Day Fiance: Did David & Evelyn Start Flirting When She Was 15?
When we first introduced you to the stars of this season of 90 Day Fiance, we mentioned that Evelyn and David had a lot of potential for drama.
As it turns out, we were more right than we knew.
Beware, as there are spoilers below as we talk about this couple’s relationship, what makes Evelyn so hated by fans, and the creepy thing about David that might make you rethink everything about this couple.
The first thing to catch your attention about Evelyn and David is that, well, these two aren’t exactly the same age.
At one point on 90 Day Fiance, Evelyn acknowledges to her friend Mikayla that she and David are marrying young, saying:
“Since we are getting married young, we have the opportunity to grow together.
Mikayla corrects her:
“I’m sorry; you’re getting married young; David is getting married at a normal age.”
Because Evelyn is 18 years old and David is 27. Their actual age difference is about 8 years, which wouldn’t be a big deal if Evelyn weren’t a teenager.
But she is, so … the age difference alone is enough to cause a lot of people to eye this couple askance.
Evelyn is from New England and David is from Grenada, Spain.
The two share conservative Christian viewpoints, and both say that they’ve been saving themselves for marriage.
And, like so many people who eschew premarital sex, they appear to be rushing into marriage. Evelyn admitted to her friend Mikayla that she and David would be married before their 1-year anniversary.
You can’t blame that on the 90 day K-1 visa process.
Though they bonded over their faith, it was always Evelyn’s looks that first drew them to begin talking.
That sounded like a cute story — cultural differences and distance being no match for thirst — except that, well, Evelyn’s age is an issue.
Take a look at this screencap of David and Evelyn’s oldest known interaction:
If Evelyn is 18 now … does that mean that David started commenting on her Instagram page when she was only 15?
Even if Evelyn is 19 now (sometimes it’s hard to confirm exact birthdays), she’d have been, at the oldest, 16. Just barely meeting the age minimum in Spain but not even meeting that in the US.
Best case scenario, you’d think that David and Evelyn struck up a friendship (social media has plenty of perfectly innocent friendships between people of different ages) based upon their shared religious views, and that romance came later.
But we’ve always known that David’s attraction to Evelyn was what first got them talking.
(We’re guessing that, when they admitted as much, they didn’t think that fans might look into their history together and crunch some very easy numbers)
So it seems more likely that David thirsted after her when she was probably 15, and that he then used their shared conservative faith to flirt with her.
That’s … weird. Most of us who are adults (and David would have been 24 at the time, right?) are conscious of potential age differences.
(If I’m livetweeting a show, I make a habit of googling a young-looking actor’s age before tweeting about which characters are hot or not. Those actors usually turn out to be well into their 20s, but it doesn’t hurt to check)
And some fans are wondering if perhaps David struck up a “friendship” with Evelyn only to begin grooming her to be his bride.
Nobody wants to believe that of another human being, but we know that there are predators out there who do that every day. And they’ll absolutely use anything — religion included — to help them seal the deal.
Of course, as we’ve seen on 90 Day Fiance, David might be regretting pursuing a teenage girl.
Because while some older guys who hook up with barely legal teens use the excuse that their younger girlfriend is “super mature for her age,” no one can honestly say that about Evelyn.
Many fans find Evelyn to be utterly insufferable.
She and David argue in person, on camera. They also argued over the phone back when they were in a long-distance relationship (a relationship that many now believe must have begun when Evelyn was still a minor).
Evelyn had some very specific plans about how she wanted to have her wedding and came across as a total Bridezilla on 90 Day Fiance, shooting down David’s ideas and requests and his pleas for the finances of his groomsmen.
For example, Evelyn wanted the groomsmen to wear tuxedos. David protests that this isn’t the norm in Spain, and suggests that his friends — who are already spending a great deal of money to fly out for the wedding — could perhaps dress nicely in black and white instead.
It’s not so much that Evelyn shoots this down as that she doesn’t seem to care about David’s thoughts on the matter. In fact, it seems like she sees this as a personal attack or an attempt to “be difficult” rather than, you know, a valid financial concern.
Evelyn, in general, does not seem to hold realistic ideas about money. Even for an 18-year-old.
Evelyn tells her friend Mikayla that she is confident that God will provide her and David with work and money, which is not a confidence-inspiring statement.
Despite the overwhelming disapproval of fans, despite the concerns of her friends, despite all of the arguments, despite the shady age difference … Starcasm reports that Evelyn and David got married.
Interestingly, they appear to have gotten married on the 21st of October. That would be exactly three years after David made that comment, screencapped above, on Evelyn’s timeline.
It’s worth noting that since both of them said that they were saving themselves, sexually, for their wedding night, there’s no telling how their marriage is going.
Some people who come from heavily religious, sex-negative religious backgrounds have difficulties transitioning into having a sex life.
A lot of people who are abstaining until marriage are eager to get married as soon as possible (because, well, they want to have sex), only to find that their bodies aren’t cooperative because of so many years repressing their urges.
(Yeah, this is real — read some accounts from people who grew up like this, folks)
It’s hard to wish a couple well when the man seems like a predator and the woman seems to be entirely unlikable, but there’s a chance that we could see them again on another season of 90 Day Fiance.
It will be interesting to see how things go for them. And for all of the couples.
